Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is in the heart of Stratford which makes for easy walks to dining, shopping and entertainment venues. Parking is safe and onsite. The hotel is over 100 years old so we weren’t expecting modern amenities found in newer properties. That said our room was clean and functional but it is in need of a refresh; rusty shower head that doesn’t allow for adjustment a heater that likely wouldn’t work well on a really cold night. Corridor carpeting could use a good steam clean.

A good place to stay when seeing a play.

Hotel was a Classic old building, nicely renovated with cosy atmosphere and good pub adjoining. The room was clean and management friendly and attentive. Walking distance to everything in town. Nice to see these old school hotels are able to run in these modern times. Recommended.

I was charged $249 for one nights stay. I had called the day before to say that we had to leave a day early and that I had insurance. The room was also small, uncomfortable and badly furnished. Won’t stay there again. In the past it was a good place to stay.

The Queen's Inn is centrally located and is convenient to theatergoers. Unlike most places, it's sometimes possible to check in early upon arrival in the city, then go to the theater. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nice.

Location, location, location. This hotel is right in the centre of town, easy walking to the theatres, restaurants and shops. It is well maintained with the owners much in evidence, clearly taking pride in the hotel. We liked the ambiance, front desk staff and the room itself. While clean when we moved in, the cleaning staff were less in evidence thereafter, probably due to the shortage of labour these days.

This hotel is nicely located in downtown Stratford which was so convenient to go to restaurants and shops and it wasn’t too far to walk to the theatres, the only thing I wish they would put coffee makers in the rooms instead of going down to the lobby to get our coffee in the morning.

This in offers old world charm so fitting for the town of Stratford. The pub was handy for a quick dinner before theatre or a cold drink after wandering the shops. The front desk was so helpful and the bed was very comfortable.

Best Place in Stratford

We had the most amazing stay at the Queen’s Inn! I don’t even know where to start to rave about them - it’s iconic! The location is amazing, the people are phenomenal, the restaurant attached to it was one of the best meals we ever had! I highly recommend to everyone to stay here, but hope it’s not booked up because of it when we come back :)

I liked the property. The room itself was roomy and nice if very, very dated. It also had an overpowering smell of room freshener, masking what might have been a cigarette smell. I opened the windows and left for about an hour or so and that helped to mitigate the smell. Otherwise the room worked well and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely staff there. Very convenient. I would stay here again.

An Enjoyable Stay

Had a nice stay, room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the main high street. Very quick and efficient check in/out and Barb was extremely friendly and fun to deal with. The attached pub and a very reasonably priced menu and tasty food choices, the fries were especially delicious.
Only minor concerns were the pillows were way too soft and toilet paper roll was nearly finished with no spare roll found in the bathroom. Although the room had a mini fridge, it would be great if the room also had a microwave oven.
Overall enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

A Wonderfully Old-Fashioned Hotel

The Queen's Inn is a small hotel. My wife and I stayed there 35 years and again this past weekend. The charm has not gone away. It is still a wonderful, charming, quiet hotel, located within easy walk of most of Stratford's sites and shopping. we won't be waiting another 36 years to return.

Although not like I remember it from 30 years ago, it was a comfortable stay and the staff was very helpful.
My only disappointments were having to go down the hall to use the microwave, and the limited restaurant hours. I was looking forward to eating at the restaurant, but sadly it was only open while I was at work every day.

Unfortunately Covid caused a last-second cancellation by the hotel, but they were very kind and hospitable doing everything they could to help us out given the circumstances. So, we look forward to visiting some time in the future. It looks like a great area, lovely building, and cute town.

The hotel was old but gold. Super vintage, but mostly kept up to date. The hot water did take a while to kick in, but wasn't the biggest of worries. The hotel staff were the most kindest people I have ever met. The pub has some awesome food as well! I do want to add that my boyfriend and I think it may be haunted. The first night we both woke up at 340am as the same time from a bad dream. Nothing too scary. Would love to stay there again!

The age of the building tells a story and is lovely in that aspect but sometimes simple updates are appreciated to add to comfort and enjoyment of guests. The heating system is below average with no instructions for how to use and our room was only 16 degrees when we arrived. O complained at dinner time and was given a portable heater which solved the problem. Also there are no instructions posted for using the whirlpool tub and draining it

We really loved staying at the Queens Inn. Loved the staff, the room the convenience of how close it was to everything! We did notice some cosmetic needs, no hot water for showers which were minor but noticeable. We absolutely loved having the pub attached and the staff/food there was terrific!!! Overall our experience was excellent and we will come back again for sure!!

There are no coffee/tea makers in the room. I went down the first night, but the second night I was already undressed when I wanted tea. Front desk told me later they would have sent it up, but that is room service and not as convenient or cost effective.

There is no breakfast of any kind in the hotel - again inconvenient. Maybe room service, but that is not the same at all.

Size of bed matters!

This was my second time staying at The Queen's Inn, Stratford. The staff are warm and friendly and the Inn has a lovely welcoming charm about it. My husband and I stayed in one of the suites that was clean with newer bathroom fixtures and was quite spacious. The only disappointment was that the bed was not a king. I don't even think it was a Queen.
