The carpets were not exactly clean. There was no coffee or breakfast at 9am. Staff was ok. The bathroom in the room was interesting you had a full step up to get in. Everything seemed very used and old. The one thing I will say is that the beds and comforter were the super comfortable if you like firm beds.

Super clean room and spacious with a sizable bathroom. Well equipped with good quality shampoo and conditioner; my hair was literally smoother, lol. Rate was really economical. Highly recommended! Lots of restaurants and they are like 5-7 minutes walking from the hotel. Staff was friendly and after I checked out in the morning they let me stored my luggage in the lobby area until evening. The Nara station is super close and they even have a tourist information center over there. I will come and stay here again!

The laundry room is conveniently on the 4th floor where we stayed. Since it is public, the risk is someone removing your items before you go claim it so I lost some socks due to another guest not removing everything fully from the machine I was using. The dryer definitely needs multiple runs so I wouldn’t suggest heavy fabrics going in.

The hotel has a board of cards for items you need (stool, ironing, hair straight, dvd player w/ anime collection nearby). They offer a number of amenities at the front if you forget your razor or toothbrush and other things.

There’s a great dry footbath at the entrance to refresh tired feet.

The front desk helped us book luggage forwarding to our next hotel for us. It’s very affordable and convenient.

A young family who were placed in a smoking room. The smell was unbearable, I made a request to urgently change and they granted our request for the next night. The second non-smoking room was clean and did not smell. The room is tiny for a family of four. We skipped the breakfast buffet. This hotel is walking distance to most attractions.

We had a nice stay at this location. It is conveniently located, walking distance from Nara park, a shopping district, and both the Kintetsu and JR stations. However, the amenities were a bit disappointing. They ran out of instant coffee halfway through our stay and did not refill it. The coffee in the lobby required a breakfast ticket, so we ended up walking to a nearby konbini for coffee in the mornings. Furthermore, the laundry service was abysmal. The washers were fine, but the dryers were an absolute joke. We had two small laundry loads that we tried to dry in two separate dryers. 3 hours and 1200 yen later, our clothes were still damp. We had to hang dry them in our room overnight. I recommend taking laundry to the nearby laundromat to save time and money.

The rooms are very spacious, very close to train station, a 10 minute walk to Nara Park, shopping street right around the corner. The bed was very comfortable, had great ammenities in the bathroom and the front desk staff was so friendly. They let me leave my bag till check in time while I went to Nara Park for the day.

This place was very cool. Every floor has a different theme/color scheme and the rooms were big and bright.

Most places I've stayed in Japan so far have been pretty mundane, but this place definitely works hard to be different and nice. Glad they had a few laundry machines as well.

Rooms were quite small and the room was quite smelly of smoke, even though we knew when we signed up it was a smoking room. We were also in a room facing the rail line so could hear it little, though the panes were double glass so it wasn’t too bad. Bathroom is very dangerous. The big step in as mentioned is a hazard. The size of the bathroom is barely the size of portable bathrooms (porta potties) and the sink is basically in the bath tub. Height is impossible for anyone taller than 5’ 10”. Step in to the tub is also incredibly high. The rooms are also very dated, and as mentioned the sofas need to go. Staff pleasantry and helpfulness was a mix. Early morning staff was excellent to help us with the luggage transfer. The ones that checked us in though was a little rough.

The room we were in had no view at all. We had to keep the curtains closed so it was dark all the time. The bathroom was small and congested. It reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom but smaller and the step up to the bathroom was dangerous. The sofa in there needs to go. It looks like it's from the 1920s. It's too large of a couch for such a small space. It was clean and the staff were very nice but the room for what we paid was not worth it. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

We had a great stay. We had a deluxe room with 2 large twin beds. Great mattress and pillows to sleep on. Less than a 5 minute walk from the Nara JR Station. Look for the big sign on top of the building at the corner when you walk out side directing you to the hotel. Check in was seem less. Staff were great. Lots of food options in the area. If you like Indian Food and are tired of Japanese food then you have to try Manna. It’s less than 10 minutes away and the food was amazing!

The hotel is roughly 3-5 mins away from the nearest transit station. The area around the property is pretty good. It can be noisy at times, especially during the night, as the hotel is right by the main road and there are bikers that want to flaunt their lifestyles during the nights.

The room I booked is a Superior Double Room and it's pretty nice. Spacious, large bed, HVAC is functional, decent size table with a small fridge underneath, and there's a couch. The bathroom size is alright - it will be inconvenient for you if you're a big or tall person, otherwise for Japanese people it's decent.

The staff is pleasurable. They know decent English that checking-in is a smooth process. They're also very friendly and gives off a kind atmosphere.

Amenities are alright - laundry room is pretty small though - almost like a walk-in closet. There's a restaurant downstairs right by the main lobby. Overall a decent place to stay at.

One complain that I have is that there's only seemingly one wi-fi access point - if you rely on it, you're going to have a bad time, so make sure you have your prepaid mobile sim/pocket wi-fi ready. A small investment in adding additional router devices/range extenders for wi-fi will be appreciated.

Will stay in again.

The room was not as pictured in the photos shown at booking, there was no column in the booking photos. The column made it difficult to get into bed and made the sofa practically useless. The bathroom has a step up of about 6 inches and if you are over 6 feet tall your head will hit the ceiling when showering.

Absolutely amazing hotel. I stayed here for 1 week and was impressed by the quality of this hotel and cost performance.

Room:
It seems that the hotel was recently renovated and all the design in halls and rooms was make with good taste. It was super clean inside the room. The room was spacious and quiet. You can control heating or cooling by yourself and adjust it in your room. As a bonus, there is radio installed in your room, which you can switch on and listen to music if you want.

Staff and communication:
Staff was very kind and helpful, they spoke English and responded to all our requests. Inside they have all the explanations translated in English, you will have no problems with communicating or making extra requests. They have a lot of things to rent out from iron to nail clippers.

Amenities:
They have a wide variety of organic amenities inside the room, like skin lotion, skin milk etc.

Breakfast;
In addition to a regular buffet-style food, for vegetarians they have salad and two different kinds of curry that do not have animal-derived products. And I would recommend this hotel for curry-lovers.

Location:
Location is great, several minutes walk from JR Nara station and just 15 min. walk to the Nara park and most of attractions.

Bonus points:
At the lobby you will find warm stones massager for legs, you can enjoy it after a long day of walking.

Every time I go to Nara, I will make sure to stay in this hotel. You have made a good impression of this hotel chain.

The hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate extra bedding for my kids and were very friendly. Google Maps gave us incorrect directions and led us to the back of the building, after you leave Nara Station you will make a left and if it tells you to make a right at the Pachinko building, don’t. Go straight down the street and the hotel will be shortly on the right.

We stayed two nights at the Centurion Hotel on 10/28-29 and it was wonderful. It's conveniently located across the JR station and a block away from the main drag to the Deer Park, etc. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean/comfortable. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Nara.
