The hotel has so many amenities that were such a delight! The onsen, massage chairs, free snacks. The free noodles after 9:30pm were surprisingly very good and their matcha tea from the machines were so good! Loved how they provided robes for you to walk around the hotel and go to the onsen. The onsen was such a great experience too!

Exceptional stay in a prime location:
The hotel enjoys an outstanding location just minutes from the train station and Aeon Supermarket, surrounded by shops and restaurants in a safe area. The staff were highly professional and attentive. The hot spring facilities were excellent, with thoughtful touches such as complimentary ice cream and evening drinks. I stayed for six nights, and on some days the bed linens were not changed. Minor train noise was also noticeable at times. Overall, a refined and satisfying stay.

I stayed with my family of 2 adults and 2 young kids. The Onsen was absolutely phenomenal and very clean. The breakfast was top notch and very nutritious. The rooms were very clean. The staff were spectacular. I woulf recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an onsen experience!

Hotel with decent location and a very authentically Japanese onsen experience. Clean semi ryokan experience. The hotel price also includes onsen and some free snacks thereafter. Breakfast is decent with lots of varieties.

However there are some restrictions the hotel enforces: e.g. shoes must be off when you enter the hotel to avoid stepping on the tatami mats. The car park is an automated car vending machine so you have to wait for your car to be delivered every time you need to use it.

All in all, a good experience if you’re looking for aJapanese onsen experience.

It was across street to train station and a walk to Nara park and temples was easy. The breakfast was great. The hot springs was awesome. The staff was amazing. This was an absolute perfect spot for an overnight in Nara. It was authentic for western travelers like our family. Excellent!!

I felt the staff really didn't want me there as a non Japanese person. Was met with cold stares when I politely asked questions, even when providing the translations, and was told to quiet down when talking in normal tones in the dining area. And as a single lady was given the worst room in a half empty hotel ( 2nd floor over the garbage bins which were collected at 5am every morning). Plus, The beds were hard, the pillows harder. All the other hotels in Japan I stayed at bent over backwards making me feel welcome. Will not return to this one.

Nice hotel and Onsen was great, however I reserved the room on Expedia and when I checked in the rate was much higher than the rate listed. I even showed them the price on the Expedia website. They already had my CC number and smugly told me I could not cancel as it was “non refundable”. I was also placed in a small room, when I had reserved, and paid for the larger option. Felt cheated. Of course there is nobody at Expedia to resolve any issues of this kind in real time. Likely won’t use again.

This was an absolutely fantastic hotel. I loved the aesthetic and all of the amenities provided. It was very nice of the staff to provide me with tattoo patches when I hadn't been able to find them so that I could enjoy their onsen. The rooms were in perfect condition and the staff was very accommodating of me trying to communicate in Japanese, switching to very good English when there were words I didn't know or things I didn't know how to say. It's also just a short 20 minute walk from Nara Park. Overall a very nice place.

お盆の繁忙期であることを考慮しても、インバウンドの受け入れすぎで、入浴はできませんでした。温泉が売りで、部屋のシャワーブースはとても狭いのに、家族全員そこで済ませました。インバウンドの割合を抑える等しないと日本の方は来なくなると思います。温泉の利用マナーもできているのか不安です。楽しみにしていたのにとても残念です。

Onsen was great, very family friendly. Nice extra treats are given after exiting the onsen, and other bonuses like evening noodles felt nice and premium. Only downside was that no children still in nappies/diapers were allowed in the onsen, and the room didn’t have a bath, so it was hard to bathe our 1 year old.

We just left the Onyado Nono hotel which they were my favorite hotel but we are so disappointed with the miss communication with the booking this year. We only booked one room with 13 nights for 2 adults + 1 kids who are 13 years old. However, we ended up paying for an additional room for my 13 years old son for 13 more nights. The reason is the hotel said on reservation it only said 2 adults with a 2 year old child. I was so upset and frustrated. I didn’t know what to do. I really don’t understand I book my whole trip together for from 5/31/2025 to 6/30/2025. One hotel to another, none of the hotels has problems at all but except this one. Please tell me what to do.

I stayed at this hotel at Level 7, hotel kept a special arrangement is can't wear shoes inside hotel including public area & corridors after completion of check-in process, at first it was not used to such practice but it is a nice experience for me.
Breakfast was excellent with various choices. Hot spring, night noodles provision & some facilities are exactly same with Dormy Inn hotel.
Overall it is a fantastic & amazing hotel for our stay.

The staff was very welcoming, and the property was clean. The amenities are great - drinks in the lobby, popsicles and yogurt drinks at the onsen, ramen noodles and toiletries as needed. We found the onsen to nice but very busy at times, so we tried to go when we thought less people would be there. Breakfast was wonderful! Location was convenient for travel to the train station, shopping and the sights. Our daughter’s loved the matcha and hot chocolate. Upon arrival we had some issues with our booking, and the manager Takashi Mogi took great care of us as did Expedia. In Japan you most likely need to book kids over the age of 13 as an adult. Double check with the property details on this.

The hotel is conveniently located right across the Nara station which makes it super easy after a long day of travel. The hot spring and amenities are excellent. It’s so relaxing, they even have a massage chair, free ramen, unlimited ice cream and yakult. Travelling in Japan can be pretty tiring but I felt very relaxed after long travel days at this hotel.

The room was about 15m from the rail line, which is also right where the trains noisily change tracks. I would never have booked this room.

The line for the ramen in the evening was also unacceptable, with only one or two staff serving. A number of customers took multiple bowls for themselves and grabbed handfuls of ice cream pops.

I’ve stayed at several other hotels of this brand, all of which were cleaner, quieter and better run.

I don’t understand the value of my Expedia Platinum status when I’m given one of the worst rooms in the place.

Wonderful Japanese hotel with onsen, only 2 minutes from Nara JR station and 20 minutes walk to Nara Park. Great extras like clothes to wander around the hotel in and free ice creams. Didn't get to try the free ramen at night. Derfinitely recommend.

Only comment is that it was hard to find the hotel as the hotel name is only in Japanese! So directions could have been clearer (google maps took me to the next street) or maybe Expedia could have a photograph of the external view on their site (which is very attractive).

Right across the street from Nara train station. Excellent onsen and relaxation area. This hotel has thought of everything- from room clothes and socks to almost free laundry center, free snacks, etc. The only downside was a very looong wait for breakfast- I gave up after 45 minutes so didn’t get to try it - but there’s a grocery with bakery across the street and lots of other restaurants within walking distance. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Onyado always has great standards, confortable and clean with large onsen bath including outside area. Nara location cannot be beat for convenience of travel as the central bus station and the train station is less than two mins walk away. Breakfast at this hotel chain is excellent and should definately be part of your trip at least once. Free ramen nightly. Depending on whos staying *stares at large loud and ill mannered tour group from nearby asian country* , things can get loud and hectic, but thats not really at the fault of the hotel or staff

For an area that doesn’t have much around, this hotel is closest to the train station where some family restaurants/cafes and supermarkets are. We also want to say the staff are super friendly and helpful especially the young man at check in counter. The onsen is also being managed well but some foreigners didn’t wash their bodies before getting into the onsen. I hope the staff will remind them about that at check in.
