The property management and security allowed a drunken wedding party to endanger children on the floating dock, knocking one off and hitting her head. Also, allowed for them to physically assault a man, and verbally threaten a woman’s life. Hilton failed to remove the guest and provide a safe environment.

I loved staying at this hotel paying extra for the best beach view from one of the highest floors. Staff was very welcoming and took care of me and my partner right away. They had plenty of pools including a kiddie pool, adults bar and a hot tub. CONS: No free breakfast or meals it is considered extra. The room was pretty clean except for their towels.... check the TOWELS! it was dirty and had a pubic hair from previous guest. Which means they don't change fresh towels. CONS: PAID EXTRA MONEY WHEN ARRIVED AT HOTEL I HAD TO PAY OVER $200 DOLLARS EXTRA FOR EXTRA FEES I WASN'T AWARE OR CHARGED HERE AT EXPEDIA. 4/5 HOTEL!

To try to make it better, they gave us 3 connecting rooms. The area and condition of these rooms were not great at all. No hot water, no ice machine and just out dated. Completely ruined my daughter’s 16th birthday. Which was the very first night! We lost time which was frustrating. We then had to wait for the next day to get our original room which was great but major inconvenience to our travel plans.

The lobby and resort are very nice. My 3rd floor ocean view, was a peek at the ocean after mostly a dirty, garbage polluted roof. The room was very musty smelling and was startled by a couple of cockroaches. The balcony was dirty, and the shower has no divider, so the bathroom floods. The lighting was dim and yellow in the bathroom.
They need to update this room.

There was visible rust in multiple areas, which may be somewhat understandable for a waterfront property, but the peeling, scratched, and deteriorating furniture made the room feel neglected. Under the bathroom sinks, the exposed plumbing was extremely dirty and very noticeable.
The TVs were outdated and extremely restrictive. Although the system claimed apps could be installed and inputs could be changed, neither worked. We tried both TVs and even attempted to connect a laptop, but nothing was allowed, so the relaxing evenings we planned didn’t happen.
This was our first family vacation, something we had saved for a long time, and the room simply wasn’t worth the upgrade. On a positive note, the food was delicious and the bartenders made great, strong drinks.

Everything was great except the person at the front desk when we checked in went on and on how many Hilton Honors points we would receive from our stay, and encouraged us to charge everything on the property to the room so we would receive 2X points. So we spent over $1,300 on the property in four days just for that reason when we could have gone elsewhere, only to find out our stay was ineligible for Hilton Honor points since it was booked through Expedia. When I brought this miscommunication to Hilton’s attention, they basically replied “So sad, too bad.”

We love to stay at Caribe Hilton when we come to Puerto Rico. The staff go above and beyond to ensure we are comfortable and that we have all we need. This trip we met Ivan who works at the beach and pool and he took the time to ask us about our plans and recommend several places to visit. His suggestions were spot on and we are so grateful he took the time and care!

This caused water damage to my suitcase, including shoes, clothing, and personal items, as well as our 5-year-old daughter’s backpack with books and toys. We estimate about $1,000 in damage.
Although we were moved to another room and given one night compensation, this was agreed to before we understood the full extent of the damage. When I later asked about additional help and laundry support, the process was frustrating and required multiple trips to the front desk. Communication between managers was inconsistent and we did not receive much empathy during the situation. The only apology we received was from a security guard helping with the report.
We were also initially charged for both nights and had to return to have the reimbursement corrected. Additionally, both hot tubs were out of service.
The location is great, but the way this situation was handled took time away from our family vacation and did not meet the level of service we expected from a Hilton property.
There are plenty of hotels in the area that will treat you better. If you have a choice, stay somewhere else.

This hotel was in a great location and has a beautiful view. We booked the bi-level premium suite and really expected it to blow us away for the price. It was nice, but very dated. The carpet was old (and still wet on the stairs when we first arrived), you need two people to open the sliding glass doors on the balcony, the pictures show a sink in the kitchenette but there isn't one, and the refrigerator was one of the smallest ones I've seen. The tiles were cracked in the master shower, and the hot water heater is bipolar. In the morning you can barely cut it on before it burns you, but by the afternoon, you can't get it hot at all. I didn't notice when booking that there is an additional $50 per day resort fee that will be added to your bill. Unlike most Hiltons, you also do not receive a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet is $35 per person. There are a good variety of restaurants on site, but they are also pricey. There are several local restaurants around that are great quality and more affordable, but we were told that we couldn't bring any outside food to the pool area. They literally check your bookbag every time you go to the pool for glass, speakers, and outside food. The first 2 being understandable, but this means you are stuck ordering off their poolside menu that includes a $24 burger and $20 grilled chicken sandwich. There are plenty of chairs which was nice compared to some resorts. Overall, we had a great time, but I wouldn't rebook at this hotel.

I had stayed at the Caribe with my family 47 years ago and the hotel was nice but even then it could have used some touch up. I had thought by now the hotel would have done some improvements and upgrades. The bathrooms need total renovation.

Everything was perfect. The room had a distinct but faint wet dog smell but didn’t bother us that much. The door closer seems to be loose and made some noise. Other than that everything else was perfect. Hotel staff, amenities, the upgrade they gave us for our honeymoon was above and beyond. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I have been a guest at the Caribe Hilton several times. My first stay there was over 20 years ago as my children were young. I still find some of the staff that worked there then. Things have definitely changed, but let’s start with the positives: dining is top notch and guest service staff as well. The beach, garden and outdoors were immaculate and breathtaking. My recent stay, however, left me wondering if I’ll return. The prices per night have skyrocketed (I dont lnow how they can legally rack up so many fees!). Our stay without food was over $900 a night. The rooms are decaying to the point that the mattress had his and hers sulci… lol! Housekeeping staff is essentially absent; I asked for towels on my second day and these never arrived. We had to take the trash to the lobby and add it to and already overflowing bin at the lobby of the Wave wing. Five hours later, we returned to the wing and the trash bin had turned into piles. Not once I was offered a room cleaning, even when I inquired about it, They said sure but no one showed up. The toiletries on the largebottles smelled rancid. The security person at the pool on day 3 of my stay was speaking on his cell phone and ranting obscenities in Spanish… not pleasant to hear and no one to supervise… the place is in skeleton crew and staff looks super overworked particularly at Nectar during morning hours. Overall, I felt as if I was staying at an overpriced air bnb. They should broadcast it as such.

Yes room was clean but apparently engineering was in the room before we got there to repair the AC. He left his cart and phone plugged in. Had issues with the AC the rest of the week but didn’t say anything we were able to deal with it. We didn’t want to wait around for someone to come and work on it. Beautiful hotel with multiple onsite restaurants, stores and a private beach. The only thing we did not like was there are no microwaves in the rooms. It was difficult with our baby as we needed to warm up his milk multiple times. I had to make so many trips to the lobby where microwaves were placed for use by customers. It was inconvenient. Very disappointed with this hotel. The prices inside the hotel (mini bar, shop, and services) are extremely inflated — in some cases nearly 10 times higher than outside stores. It feels unreasonable and not worth the money. I strongly recommend checking prices elsewhere before purchasing anything here.

Staff was really amazing. Amenities were wonderful. Hot tub temperature fluctuates but when it was cooler it was a nice reprieve from the heat. ADA accessible - all pools have lifts - the hotel has a beach wheelchair for guests use - ramps everywhere. Overall a lovely experience. The restaurants also have great food.

We are ready for a repeat performance. I am a Hilton Honors Members and have stayed at many Hiltons, but the Caribe Hilton was like coming home. Of course, I wasn't wild about the check in, but the staff were the best. The best mofongo in PR at Lola's Restaurant. The best service.The grounds were well kept and we always felt safe at any time of day.
