Beautifully appointed boutique resort in the old town with EXCEPTIONAL service by all staff! The decor and attention to all detail is AMAZING!! Very reasonably priced with a wonderful breakfast included - extremely good value!!

Rooms are spacious, super clean with comfortable beds.

The pool was beautiful, allbeit unheated, but refreshing on a hot day.

The location is perfect for lots of walking to local restaurants, beautiful shops and temples. This is the IDEAL resort to stay at when visiting Chiang Mai

The whole property was well cared for and staff were excellent, helpful and cheerful. We were there for more than a week and the quality of these things stayed consistently high.
The beds and bedding were also of high quality and very comfortable.
The breakfast bar was good and had enough choices so that most quests would be satisfied.
Two drawbacks worth mentioning; the pool is in the Shade for most of the day and therefore should be heated somewhat as it was truly too cold for most guests and the quality and quantity of food and drinks ( serving size) were not equal to some and very high priced for Chiang Mai over all.
The Hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed it very much and would absolutely return and recommend this property.

The rooms are clean and extremely well appointed, however, we did not know that there were rooms in darkness with a tiny window and no outside sitting space or view of the stunning pool. Wed stayed here before in a beautiful ground floor room terrace overlooking the tea house. Brought friends thinking would be just as lovely, but alas we didn’t know.

Room great and big too. Only issues were no streaming from Apple to smart tv(should be fixable by Netflix and Prime apps being installed) and a tiny wall hung wardrobe.

Pool doesn’t get much sun due to location. Service in the restaurant wasn’t great (omelette station forgot order twice then got it wrong)

New restaurant Menu only available when scanning QR code by phone and all of the items we chose from this menu not available yet. Took 15min to get the drinks ordered and it wasn’t busy. Call button on table wasn’t working or ignored.

Breakfast nothing special, but suggest to skip this and pop around to Kati for breakfast / brunch for under £10 pp all in.

Fabulous place! By far the best resort if you want to stay in the heart of Old City Chiang Mai. The staff is superb and the grounds are breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was amazing with so many delicious options. The complementary afternoon tea was lovely and their outdoor bar was a great place to start the evening. When visiting Old City this is the place to be!

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the historic district. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable and luxurious with all the needed amenities. There isn’t much storage in the rooms so it’s better for short stays. My only issue was that the pool was really cold.

An excellent hotel with a particular Thai feel about it. Great location in the old city. The staff were very friendly and attentive and dressed immaculately.
We enjoyed the complementary afternoon tea in the garden and pool area. This included drinks, sandwiches, little Thai snacks, sweets and a wide arrangement of fruits. A very welcome touch that was completely unexpected.

Hotel is in a very good location in the old city of Chiang Mai. Easy walk to some very interesting temples, on Sunday the walking street markets just outside the front door. But all the hustle and bustle of the city is not noticeable inside the hotel and it's inner courtyard. Very well trained staff, immaculately clean and comfortable. Good sized rooms, very generous minibar that is refilled every day. Tea time (2-4pm) is very nice touch. The pool was large, but cold, so it was rather a water feature, than the place to get in. Our only disappointment with this hotel was the breakfast - cold watery curries, stale cold pastries. Given the state of the breakfast we did not dine in the hotel. If ever again in Chiang Mai, we would certainly consider this place.

Wishing I booked here longer…. Chala Number 6 was perfect in every way. Nice coffee houses nearby, temples, shopping. The aspect which I enjoyed most was the beautiful grounds the hotel sits on. Pristine sanctuary with living plants and lush greenery that is very well maintained by staff. Rooms are very nice too and match the aesthetic. Don’t hesitate to book here.

The most incredible hotel, perfectly located in old town. Across the street from a temple & an easy walk to anything you want to see here. The breakfast is great. The tea time from 2p-4p is an incredible touch & really sets them apart from any other hotel. I’m a solo female traveler and felt incredibly safe and taken care of while I was here. We stayed at Chala 6 at beginning and end of trip to Chaing Mai - lovely hotel in a great location - lots of restaurants nearby - temples across the street - comfortable rooms and beds - tons of free snacks and drinks- and bathroom amenities - great spot

Staff very accommodating and efficient - and pleasant -good English skills - I had an accident with a motorcycle and broke some ribs - they arranged a taxi to Ram Hospital which itself is the best hospital I have ever used - complete trip took an hour for doctor consults and X-rays - Thailand should be training the west for how to run a medical facility

We would definitely stay here again - one side of the hotel backs against a school and we loved the sounds of little children in the morning - but others may have been disturbed. We rented the junior suite first time (quiet) and just a delux with balcony on second stay - had a good massage in attached spa - but there are many nearby on street -

Chala Number 6 hotel is right in the centre of the Old City, surrounded by temples, restaurants and small shops. It's easy to walk around and enjoy the city from outside the hotel. Also, as soon as you step through the hotel front door you are made very welcome by the staff. Breakfast is good and had a wide choice. There is a nice pool area that's never crowded and they serve free afternoon tea with small snacks from 2 to 4pm.

Oasis in the middle of vibrant Old Chiang Mai

Chala Number 6 sold me with its posted pics of a tranquil oasis in what I knew to be a hectic city. As we flew in, I feared it would be a disappointment. Fortunately, it was exactly as advertised. From the two story waterfall into the infinity pool to the open air bar and lounging area to the large, lovely and well-maintained rooms it was a great break in the middle of a busy couple of weeks of travel.

Once outside the hotel, there’s lots to see and do (the large Sunday Night Market is just outside the front doors and a large temple is across the street). Once in the hotel, it’s calm and beautiful.

The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. Lovely service! And the included breakfast buffet was large and had different savory options each morning. Some days options: pineapple fried rice, curry chicken, spaghetti carbonara (yes, I was unusually open to a different kind of breakfast). Loads of variety as well as the usual western eggs, omelettes, fruit and pastries. We ate dinner at the hotel almost daily with lots of outdoor seating options, if you prefer.

The Waya spa is beautiful, clean, and full service. We had massages a few afternoons.

Convenient to everything in Old Chiang Mai with tuk tuks to take you anywhere else, this hotel is one of my top hotels ever. The people are gracious and helpful giving the service five stars, as well

We really wanted to love this hotel but the hotel allows smoking within distance of the breakfast dining area which disrupted our meal. Loud smoking guests taking away the experience of others. In addition the manager Pat did a very poor job of managing our guests breakfast at Chala Number 2. This caused much un-needed stress. There is really no excuse for disrupting our stay with poor management skills. I hope they cn find someone better to replace her.

This hotel is beautiful, well-maintained and artistically created, leveraging a flair to local culture. The restaurant has delicious food and the house bar on the lawn had a wonderful afternoon herbal tea and snacks. There’s a lot of neat treasures in the room like a bidet, straw sun hats for his and her, extra drinks and snacks in the room, room slippers and more. Across the street is a beautiful temple as well. The Sunday street market in right in front of the hotel, too. Staff were awesome. Thank you for a wonderful stay, wish I could stay longer.

Chala is in a great location and I couldn’t say enough about the front desk support and those serving at the swimming pool restaurant. The room was super cozy and some nice touches like a fruit basket and cookies on the first night. I would only say that breakfast was just okay is you want healthy western. I am a black coffee no sugar drinker so there is room for improvement which I shared with the team.

This property is beautiful. Meticulously cleaned and designed. I literally saw them measuring the distance between lounge chairs and the walkways. Every detail is well thought out and intentional. Other tourist stopped to take pictures of the property as they passed by. It's a very pretty site.

The rooms have garden views and large balconies. There is not a separate seating area in the room. It's bath, bed, balcony yet it doesn't feel small. The breakfast and afternoon tea are nice but if the cost is significantly higher to include I would say skip it. There are plenty of inexpensive dining options nearby with similar selections. The restaurants are good options if you want to stay in. I did not use the spa. The prices were out of scale of other spas. The location is central to everything. I would stay again.

The property and room were gorgeous. The staff member who checked us in was a bit cold towards us, which gave a very bad first impression, but other staff interactions were more friendly. Delicious breakfast.

Our room was adjacent to a school, so we were awakened with very loud music and intercom announcements very early in the morning. We changed hotels for this reason.

Good location (directly opposite Wat Chedi Luang) but it is right next door to a school and main road so some rooms may be a little noisy. Its location makes it very easy to explore the Old Town on foot from here. The hotel is Thai in style and the staff were very welcoming. Afternoon tea is offered daily and this was a nice touch. Rooms are comfortable but there is a lack of wardrobe or drawer space - and there is not much shelf space in the bathroom to put one’s belongings. This seems bit odd for what is obviously a hotel aimed at tourists. Breakfast was a little limited. Overall it is a nice hotel but there are a couple of things which just detract from an otherwise very good property.

Absolutely beautiful property! The grounds are like an oasis in the middle of the city. Rooms are great, clean and comfy. Bathrooms are excellent and love the robes and slippers! Location was amazing, walking distance to many restaurants and very easy to get popular locations. Restaurant inside is way more expensive than necessary so we never ate there. Definitely get a smoothie at the All way Cafe and take a walk down to Kats Kitchen!

Beautiful

Less than 2 years old, clean, well decorated. Bar drinks weren't the best, but the bartender who made them went out of his way to learn to improve our drinks and succeeded.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. My husband got sick during the trip and they really went out of their way to help us. The hotel is very central to everything and the Sunday market is right outside the front door. It’s a beautiful hotel. Breakfast is yummy. Would not hesitate to book a room there again.

The swimming pool is small. The restaurant is small and the breakfast has limited food. There is a school next to the hotel and makes so much noisy in the early morning.

It is located on the street of Sunday Market.
