No idea how this hotel got a 9.2 rating other than how centrally located it is in the old city. First room was musty and had no windows, paid 500 baht a night on site for upgrade, the next room was better but bed was like sleeping on sheet of plywood. I prepaid 2 night but only stayed for 1. There isn’t anything truly wrong with the hotel but it wasn’t for me, for the price it is what it is. Cost me more than double to move hotels but for my personal comfort it was worth it. I felt the rating it has on Expedia isn’t accurate. I spend a lot of time in hotels, it has to be exceptional to be a 9.2. The staff were nice though and tried to
Accommodate us. My friend stayed 2 more nights.

To list the positives:
- Location is great
- Most of the Staff were very friendly

To list the negatives:
- There was blood on the bed sheets when we arrived. The guy asked my wife “are you sure it wasn’t you?”. He followed up by sending someone to change the sheet, but that’s not how a 4 star hotel should react to this situation. There were also smaller stains on my pillow case.
- Cockroach was on the floor the morning we left
- We were met with some resistance when we asked if we could have a pre prepared breakfast early in the morning since we had an early flight. He did follow up by putting in the request, however, as I mentioned before this isn’t 4 star treatment.
- Room is stuffy, woke up with very dry throat each morning.

The room was great and spacious. Well decorated, however there was bad smell coming from the bathroom, the moment we opened the door it would hit us.
If you are a light sleeper, avoid the rooms with the street view, the bars around make a lot of noise, which is not ideal for people sensitive to noise.
The Location is perfect to walk around, there are many local coffee shops, restaurants, temples to visit in the area. No need to Order a taxi.
We tried the breakfast buffet once, definitely recommend ordering the A la carte menu.
Overall the stay did the job, it’s a very nice city.

It’s right in the centre of all of the action so you might want ear plugs for bed time but that comes with the being in the centre of the old city. The location and staff were great but the room needs an upgrade for sure. Comfy bed but the room is pretty small by the time you have 2 large suitcases on the floor. Nice hot shower but the bathroom door is a weird wooden design and didn’t close. Free water each day is a good pro but the street outside is very noisy with live music bars and generally due to the lack of carpet etc in the corridor you can hear everything in the hotel as well so would avoid unless you have ear plugs.

Loved that it was super convenient and in walking distance of most things you may want/need (coffee shop, restaurants, laundry mat was only a 7-8mins walk away, etc). It was also right where the Sunday night market is! Hotel accommodations was nice and clean. Friendly staff. We never ate at their restaurant so not sure how the food was. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. I forget the gentleman's name who helped us, but if management can find out, he should be commended for his hospitality upon arrival and during. Tina at the front desk was always so helpful, sincere, and a delight to talk to. Dada, a beautiful young staff member, was always helpful, pleasant, and willing to assist with anything. The support food staff were always working hard. As world travellers, we would have to say this was one of the most hospitable hotels. It was close to everything, and all tours picked up from this hotel as well. All night markets are within walking distance. We never had to use a taxi once during our 5 days.

Hotel location is excellent. We walked everywhere. Staff is helpful and friendly. We paid for breakfast all 3 days but ended up eating outside because the breakfast menu is very basic and the location has so many yummy local places to eat everywhere you turn. If you like local food and like to venture out, maybe skip breakfast prepayment. AC is good. Water pressure not so good and shower does not stay hot long but it was ok with us because it’s so hot outside. Location was the best thing about this hotel.

The location is the best part - great to reach, lots of shopping, dining, tourist attractions nearby that are walkable, safe location and the weekend market is right in front of the hotel. (5 stars)

The rooms were spacious, clean and were cleaned and stocked regularly. (4.5 stars)
The umbrellas they kindly let us borrow, were a bonus - they came in very handy, both during the hot sunny days and also when it rained! (5 stars, since this was unexpected, but was extremely useful)
The one minor issue we had was with the weird smell of stuffiness as we entered the room. Not unbearable, but we noticed it every time we came back to the room. (4 stars)
Other than that, we had a wonderful stay here.
