Outstanding staff, check in was seamless and Rahaf was amazing and arranged for me awesome room, even I came exhausted earlier than time. She went beyond to make my stay a memorable one. Also, the hotel was super in every item I could check. The executive lounge staff Taufeek and Mo, and the Gust service Ghofran was kind and made sure the experience was as expected. We arrived at around 5:00 pm; however, when we went to check in, both rooms were not yet ready, and we had to wait for about an hour until 6:00 pm to receive the keys. That said, both rooms were on the same floor and close to each other, as we had requested.

The rooms were very spacious, clean, and tidy. The bathroom was well equipped with everything needed, and the shower had excellent water pressure.

Breakfast was very diverse, catering to different cultures, with plenty of options, more than enough for everyone, and the service was excellent.

We truly had a great time, and the hotel’s location was outstanding—just steps away from Haram Makkah. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Makkah.

The location is unbeatable, even better than the Clock Tower. You step out of the hotel through its shopping floor, and you’re right in the Haram. There’s a food court on the third floor with plenty of dining options, and Romancia along with several other restaurants are within walking distance.

We stayed in a quad room with a divider separating the beds, which was a great layout. The staff were amazing — friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

Price-wise, it’s on the higher side, and the shops are also quite pricey, but overall, I really don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel.

This hotel is stunning, staff are friendly and very helpful. My only issue is, I am disabled and a wheelchair user. My room was supposed to be disabled friendly but the toilet was very low with a bar at the back, no help. The shower had just one bar against the back wall, I am unable to stand. This made our stay difficult, otherwise it would have been perfect.

This hotel was perfect, staff were excellent, it was clean, very good customer service, breakfast was fantastic. However I am a disabled wheelchair user, we had asked for a disabled bathroom, however bathroom had one handle bar behind it, and shower had a bar on the back wall. This was no good, I struggled with the bathroom facilities and had to be physically helped/lifted by my family. They need to make disabled facilities in the rooms much much better.

A beautiful hotel with a luxurious feel and excellent location however.....Bathroom needs updating....toilet seat was very loose and muslim shower hose not on right hand side of toilet and outdated hairdryer and no iron in the room. Breakfast was almost the same everyday with mainly vegetarian food and disappointing variety.Duty manager was not polite and she ignored me. I left a message and was told someone will call back but no one followed up. Poor customer care. House keeping staff very hardworking.

The property is ageing now however clean. Location wise you cannot get better than this. Stayed 3 nights however only had the breakfast the once and it was amazing. Value for money and would recommend. Lifts can be a bit slow at prayer times.

We had booked a room for 4 people and only got 3 beds.
Asked for another bed and reception said they don't provide additional beds..
We arrived after a 16 hour travel and just wanted to rest.
The room wasn't prepared properly either
They would only give 3 items rather than 4, ie complimentary items.
Had to ask for more which was embarrassing.
Seemed like the room was only prepared for 3 people.
The best thing was the multiple exits towards Haram.
Would advise to check the room beforehand.
It was only the day before leaving they rang to ask how the stay was and what time we would be checking out that they got their act together and bought an extra bed into the room.

Umrah trip wit

I have not rated the stay at Makkah Hotel Excellent just because of number of lifts in service. There are 30 floors and only 2 working lifts to take you to your room. Sometime had to wait more than 15 min to get into lift as it was always busy. Apart from that, in terms of location couldn’t have been any better as hotel is in boundary of Kaaba. Rooms though were old but clean and service was also good.

Hotel needs urgent refurbishment. Most of the time 2 to 3 lifts remained under maintenance causing long wait to commute. House keeping is poor with slow response.
Only positive point is hotel vicinity to Haram.
