It’s a nice mid range hotel in the old city. I enjoyed the location. It was close to everything and very quiet . I appreciated that it was off the busy streets but walking distance to everything including the night market . The staff is great !

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Had welcome pack which was lovely and they thought of everything that could be needed for a comfortable stay I was very impressed. The room was quiet, air conditioning good. Bed very comfortable had good night sleep. Shower very good. Location was good, accessible to attractions and restaurants in the vicinity. Would definitely recommend and return again

This was a great hotel. We didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. We were just too busy. It was a great location! We walked pretty much everywhere and it was close car ride to the airport. It was nice just walking next door for a massage too!

Great little place in the heart of Chiang Mai makes it accessible to all important surrounding areas. The staff was always very nice and polite and even given us a free souvenir! What a nice people. The place was sparkly clean. I would rate this place much higher than a 5star hotel in Bangkok.

Chiangmai was amazing and hotel was simple and adequate. Breakfast was satisfactory but simple. Location was good and hotel looked new. Pool was smaller than expected and located between the two buildings - not much ‘atmosphere’

Not fantastic in actual fact

I stayed for 5N in this hotel which I was looking forward due to the 4.4 rating. But honestly, I do not think it is worth such a high rating due to a few reasons. 1) The so call free parking was along the road side which does not belong to the hotel. 2) the room I stayed on the 1st night was horrible due to the smell from the sewage system 3) the sound insulation from floor to floor is disturbing especially at night.

Our balcony was directed to the wall of next building.
Very poor breakfast, I think it was the bad breakfast ever, there are only two kinds of jam, butter, bread and coffee or tea (one kind of each), that's all.

This is my go to hotel in Chiang Mai. Wonderful, warm and caring staff who go out of their way to help you whenever they can. I have been staying there 3 times now and each time is even better. This year I was in the new section of the hotel and the new room was great. Bigger and better. Due to the construction, which I understand is almost completed, the full breakfast option was not available but they had complimentary toast and great coffee (or tea). They are also almost finished a new pool which I am sure to use next time I go, as they never had one before.
Thank you Cozytel for a wonderful stay. I can't wait to be there again.

The hotel is in an old area. This hotel could be better. In my room, the bed was very comfortable but the window and the balcony was opening up to another building’s wall. The worst part was, the bathroom. The shower door would not close, and the sink would not drain at all. Water would then sip out on the floor. But I think the staff more than compensated for the inconveniences - they were really nice. Last, do you really have to make money out of hailing a cab to the airport? A five star hotel provides a limousine service for 150 baht. You called a cab for 250 baht. That was a bit low. So, anyone planning to visit Thailand, download the Grab cab calling app popular in Thailand. You can have the same ride for 50 or so baht.

The staff keeps you cozy

The staff at the Cozytel are extremely accommodating. As other reviewers have mentioned we found the airconditioning on the top floor a bit weak compared to what we were used to on the rest of our trip, but the staff were more than happy to help us with it and move our room. We stayed for 4 nights and for the rest of our stay the staff was very friendly and warm. Our room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel is very well located, I walked everywhere. There was a nice welcome drink and upon checkout they have me a cute little souvenir, which was really unexpected and a nice touch. But I wouldn't suggest it to solo travelers who want to meet other travelers.

Great service, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable accommodations. The hotel is in a very good location and offers transfers to the airport and bus stations. If you wanna rent a bike or a scooter the hotel has some to offer. The breakfast you have to order from a menu but it is very nicely prepared, very tasty and served in good portions (breads, jams, butter and beverages are free), if you don't have time to eat at the hotel they offer you a breakfast in a box too take away with you. I've spent the three days of Songkran Festival (Thailand's Buddhist New Year) in Chiang Mai with my girlfriend, on arrival the staff gave us waterproof sleeves to put our cell phones and borrow us some water guns to enjoy the party on the streets. At checkout they gave us some cool little handmade keychains. I highly recommend Cozytel.

I had a very pleasant stay at Cozytel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and well-kept. The room was pleasant. Only issue I had was that it got cleaned late, I am used to the rooms being cleaned by 1 pm or so and the cleaning lady would only come by around 3pm and sometimes I would already be back in my room by then as it was really hot outside and a couple of times I had to tell her not to clean as I didn't want to leave the room. Also the toilet would often spew out dirty water and it was loud especially at night. Otherwise the room and bathroom were great. Comfortable and clean with fresh water bottles every day. I also got a complimentary taxi back to the airport as they considered me a long-term guest. I thought that was a very nice touch. Breakfast at the buffet was good and coffee was delicious. The hotel is walking distance from many restaurants and cafes. I had a great experience and would gladly come back again and would recommend it to others.

Stayed 3 nights. Was supposed to be 4 but our flight was delayed, unfortunately. Lovely, warm friendly staff from front desk, kitchen to cleaning. Always went the extra effort to please and make our stay even more comfortable.
Small room but well configured with a comfortable firm king bed. Fridge, kettle with tea, coffee supplied.
Breakfast was excellent. Prepared well and delicious. Choose from 7 or 8 meals that was cooked to order. Fresh food with good coffee.

Loved the proximity to an amazing massage place (Womens' Massage School). Our room had a king sized bed and cute little balcony. It was clean, quiet and comfortable -- staff were very friendly and offered us small parting gifts upon check-out. Would recommend it as an affordable option for exploring Chiangmai.

Kind Staff, Accomodating, and Exceeds Expectations

During my friend and I’s two and a half week stay in Thailand, this place was by far the BEST! This hotel exceeded our expectations tremendously. Very clean, welcoming, within walking distance of everything in Old Town, excellent amenities, worth every U.S. dollar (felt like the room price was a steal), and the free breakfast included in the hotel price was delicious and plentiful. Will absolutely stay here again.

This was my second time visiting Thailand. I initially chose this hotel for the reviews and price. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay here as the staff was over-the-top genuine. I stopped going down in the morning to have breakfast and they would still bring it up to the room. The only compliant I have is that the beds were a little stiff. But overall it was a great experience.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff

The hotel is a good location in Chiang Mai within the walls of the old town. You can walk about or get tuk tuk's for about 60baht, or uber so it isn't very expensive at all. The room was comfortable and a good size, the shower was great! The only downside was the view from the room which was overlooking a roof but this didn't matter much at all. For breakfast there is a selection of about 4 dishes, pancakes, eggs, fruit, bacon... All were delicious! Staff helped us booked a few trips and were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel!

Fantastic location in the center of old Chiang Mai. The staff were welcoming and always willing to help. This location of the hotel is perfect if you'll be in town for the Sunday Night Market. The rooms were spacious and the outdoor patio space is a lovely place to unwind after a day of playing tourist. You can't beat the value of this hotel. I would highly recommend Cozytel.

Cozytel is located within a few minutes walk from the main temples in Chiang Mai.

Staff was very accommodating, as our room was on the top floor and quite hot even with AC, they changed it for us on the next day to a lower floor. Tip... ask for a lower floor if you cherish strong AC!

Breakfast selection was good and fast wifi! Laundry service by hotel is comparable to prices elsewhere and they charge by exact weight, not rounding up, which amazed me! Very honest hotel!

Cute little hotel, perfect stay in Chiangmai!

This was the perfect place to stay in Chiangmai! It was quiet but right down the street from all the bars and steeet food vendors. About 5 min walk to bars and 10 min walk to food. It is in the heart of downtown Chiangmai and the staff was friendly and helpful! They have laundry service, breakfast& taxis for cheap from the hotel. Loved this place! Will stay again. Recommended for couples, students, young people traveling, even groups of friends!

Right in the center but need to walk a little bit to the shops and something. Don't rent scooters or bike from the hotel, over priced. Just walk around u will find a lot. I think they should provide free bikes like a lot pf hotels do in Chiang Mai but instead they charge.

Great value and location in Chiang Mai

A group of six of stayed here for Loy Krathong and general sight seeing in Novemeber and we were all very satisfied. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were comfortable with plenty of room, and the location is right around the corner from the Sunday Night Walking Street and the Three Kings Monument. We had no problem getting transportation to and from the hotel, as everyone seemed to know where it was. There is a great, cheap massage place two doors down, the Women Ex-Prisoner establishment. We walked down to Waroros Market and it only took about 20 minutes. We walked pretty much everywhere from here with no issue. I highly recommend this hotel. Comfortable, great value for your money, and lots to do in the area. Thumbs up.

Very happy with our 3 night stay. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and very quiet for peaceful sleep. The only negatives were that the bed mattress was on the firm side and the walls are thin (can hear neighbor conversations and phones ringing). But overall, the postives greatly outweighed the negatives. And would highly recommend to everybody.

Perfect for any stay in Chiang Mai, less the bed

The staff was super kind, breakfast was filling and prompt, rooms are very clean. The only negative (and I've seen this in some of the other reviews) is that the bed is so incredibly firm that it was honestly difficult to sleep. I am not sure if this is a Western standard, and I hate to give any negative review. Seriously, this hotel was incredible short that single thing.

Had the most amazing stay, felt like home. The staff were exceptional and helped us to choose places to eat, see, explore, shop and none of it let us down. The highlight was the recommended tours both in the city and outskirt area. All staff were excellent in arranging it! The breakfast was outstanding in everyday we stayed. It's also walking distance to pretty much everything in the old city of Chiang Mai. Really recommend it and look forward to coming back.

This was the perfect place for me to travel in Chiang Mai. I loved being so close to the Sunday Market but the best of all was that this area was very quiet and peaceful. Food market, restaurants and various shops are easy walking distance. It's also very easy to catch a cab from the nearest main road. The staff team was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was very nice, well decorated with all the thoughtful touches that make traveling so much easier e.g. good wifi, books, free maps and tourist facilities. Shower and toilet are spotlessly clean. The room was basic but had everything essential.

Exceeded our expectations in every way

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service and any help we needed. There were umbrellas and ponchos in the lobby guests could borrow in case of rain. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Plus and cook-to-order breakfast. Great value for the money. Next time we return to Chiang Mai, we'll definitely stay at the Cozytel again.

Nice and close to everything!

We spent three nights in Chiang Mai in Cozytel which was only 10min from the airport, in the old town. Perfect central place to explore the city and surroundings. We did not spend much time in the room though. The wifi, has he have experienced in whole Thailand, was not always reliable. The breakfast could have been better. We had our laundry done and were happy with the service even if my husband cap was lost.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It was so cute and was in the perfect location!! The staff was honestly the best! Out of all the places my boyfriend and I stayed in Thailand, this was our favorite. The room was clean and AC worked well. They have scooter rentals right outside the hotel. The hotel let us keep our bags there the entire day even after we checked out. We had a late flight so they let us stay in the lobby as long as we wanted to. We even ordered pizza and they said it was fine. When it was time to go we asked if they could call us a cab and helped us put our bags in the car. Loved them!

Great value, comfortable, and perfect location!

Cozytel was really fantastic! The neighborhood was perfect - check out Fahtara Coffee down the road! We were within walking distance of great sites, boutique shops, and massage places. The room was very clean and the shower got nice and hot. The staff were very helpful and even gave us a small gift when we checked out. Highly recommend, especially for the price!

I would not return.

Walking distance for old town sight seeing. However transport is inexpensive from most of the main areas so this should not be the deciding factor. Hotel is very noisy. You can hear your neighbours conversations/snoring and all corridor movements, very disappointing. Also the A/C was all or nothing, so developed cold like symptoms the following morning. Room was basic but fairly clean. If possible I would spend abit baht to ensure a good night's sleep.

Service was awesome. Any concern got take care right away plus followed up. Staff were very caring, responding, and responsibility. The room was clean and cozy. The spot was close to everything. Less than 5 min walk to walking street but peacefully. Not feel overwhelmed.

As the name suggests... very cozy!

Cozytel exceeded my expectations. Friendly and helpful staff that attended to our every need. The room was a great size with a balcony, tea and coffee making facilities, room cleaning (everyday) plus they gave us fresh bottled water everyday too. The location was superb, great local restaurants round the corner! Decent laundry service, lots of power points, strong wifi connection, a working safe and air con. We also had breakfast at the hotel one morning which was delicious! Uninterrupted sleep, bed was a little hard but still comfortable.
Only minor con was our shower door was a little broken and the shower drain was a bit blocked.

We stayed 4 nights in Cozytel the area is quiet but lots of restaurants shops step from there. The staff were polite and helpful rooms were clean and airy. Highly recommended this budget hotel.
