Bottled water in room every day. Courtesy coffee/tea station in reception with little biscuits, plus fridges with bottled water, sliced fruit and small cakes - very welcome after a long day out in the heat exploring.

The hotel itself is comfortable, decently clean, but my experience highlighted a lack of attention to detail and follow-through. While I was away from my room for a couple of nights (and still paying for the room), the AC was turned off in Bangkok heat, which resulted in damage to personal items (speciality chocolates).

Although the hotel acknowledged the mistake in writing, the issue was ultimately not resolved and no reimbursement was provided. If reliability and accountability during your stay matter to you, this is something to be aware of.

I was in Bangkok for three days before heading to the islands. This hotel was really convenient. It’s located in old town. There’s a bit of construction happening on the main street but I didn’t really hear it from my room. Everybody at the hotel is awesome nice and hospitable. They have free water, fruit, and desserts available in the lobby, which was really really convenient and cool. The room was clean and comfortable. It is about a 10 minute walk from Khaoson Road !!

A jewel in Bangkok's crown. A great location forr many of the city's attractions, but more importantly, just a really really great team.
Everyone at Casa Nithra was friendly, welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great facilities from the on site breakfast to the rooftop pool. I was travelling alone and every memeber of staff couldn't have been more helpful with all my constant questions of how to get around and what to see.
A big thank you to everyone - I'll definitely see you on my next trip to Bangkok.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Nithra. The double room was a perfect size for me. It was clean and had a good selection of toiletries. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable making for a good nights sleep. However, as my room was on the 5th floor there were times I could hear the plumbing of the rooftop pool which woke me up as I’m a light sleeper. I also had a few minor issues with loose plug sockets and slow water draining in the bathroom. The balcony was small and looked over a construction site and some local houses. I loved the rooftop pool which was small but reasonably deep but it can get a bit noisy when there are many people out there.

There is significant construction currently ongoing on the road in front of the hotel so there is a lot of dust in the air and it doesn’t look the most appealing outside.

Transport wise, you’re best getting the ferry into town (approx. 15min walk to the pier from the hotel) or getting Grab taxis. There’s a bus stop less than 5mins from the hotel but I couldn’t figure out how to use the service.

The staff are friendly, I felt very welcome when I checked in and they always make the effort to greet you when they see you. They were also very accommodating and were quick to respond to requests.

The only 2 cons: 1) we stayed below the pool on the fifth floor and could hear a lot of pool noises at night. 2) construction in front of the hotel makes things really difficult, you can’t really walk to places, hardy for cabs to get to you. But I know it’s not the hotels fault so just keep in mind!

We loved our stayed as casa nithra! It’s within walking distance of many temples, khao San road and rumbuttri area. Make sure you get the breakfast it was delicious. Our room was basic but very clean and had a balcony. The pool area was also very nice for an afternoon cool down. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We left the property within 10 minutes of arrival. The washing machine was broken. The air conditioner was not turning on with the remote.
I sat down on the stained sofa to contact the manager about this things and bugs started crawling all over the arm rest of the sofa and on me.
Left the space and ask for a refund. Have not heard back.
This is completely unacceptable.

The hotel and the staff were amazing!! Very welcoming and helpful. We included the breakfast to our booking and I can’t recommend it enough; a wide variety of options (including traditional Thai food like curry, noodles, etc.) that change every day, soooo delicious and packed with fresh fruit too!! Coffee was also amazing!!!

Unfortunately, there is a construction going on at the moment so sometimes it gets loud specially at night but fortunately our room was on the other side of that street so it was not a problem for us. Also due to the construction the sidewalks are reduced and could be kind of hard to walk but just for a few blocks. On the other hand, facilities were good including a beautiful pool on the 6th floor. However, our room had a particular smell coming from the bathroom that appeared to be from the sewage and it was annoying because it got impregnated all over the room. We had to sometimes leave the balcony slightly open for it to vent out.

Apart from that, we absolutely recommend staying at Casa Nithra!!! It is also near Kahosan Road (~12 min walking distance) and the Grand Palace and the National Museum (~25 min walking distance) so in our first day in Bangkok we decided to walk to get to know the area too and it did not disappoint. There is also a lot of dinning options nearby.

We loved staying at Casa Nithra! There is construction around the hotel but we could not hear any of the construction from our room. Taxi’s and Tuk Tuk’s were able to pull in w/o issue. Casa Nithra is a fabulous hotel in a great location. Even though there is currently some infrastructure construction taking place in the general area around the hotel, the hotel itself is a little oasis. The food in the restaurant is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet and the rooftop pool is wonderful. We’ve stayed here on three separate trips and each visit has not disappointed. Would definitely stay here again.

Another lovely stay at Casa Nithra

Always love my stay at Casa Nithra. Comfortable rooms at a reasonable price with a lovely rooftop pool and bar area. Close enough to KSR and Rambuttri area but far enough away to be quiet! Also close to Soi 4 and restaurants along the khlong. The only thing I would mention is the level of construction going on due to the new underground station they’re building, it’s a bit of a state and not ideal for anyone with mobility issues, but not much the hotel can do about that! Let’s hope it’s finished soon…

Rooms filled with all-night noisy backpackers smoking weed. The latter is to be expected on Khao San road. However we would certainly not consider staying here again at this price.

Nice hotel in central location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent and it starts at 6.30 which is a big plus for early birds like us
Do keep in mind there's a construction of a metro station right outside the property and it is ongoing 24/7. You can ask for a quiet room, but it will still be noisy and it's everywhere. We knew about it in advance so not deducting rating to hotel as it's clearly outside of their control. Ear plugs fixed this inconvenience for us

Casa Nithra was a clean and relaxing oasis amidst the bustle of Bangkok. It was walkable to many historical sites. During my stay, there was major construction work right outside the hotel which made walking a bit more challenging, but the construction workers were friendly and helped visitors navigate.

Everything was great, except I didn't know they were putting in a subway in front of the hotel, so super noisy every morning...Besides that, staff was great, and room was perfect. It is a little out of way from everything, but I should have done more research on that, as I was there for business, not vacation.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Only one person working at front desk upon check in. No one to bring bags inside or up to the room. Building is older so the air is musty. Both of us woke up with a runny nose. Room's are very small. Wasn't necessary for us, but TV only broadcasted a few fuzzy antenna channels. No bathrobes. Relative to other Thai hotels, the service was very underwhelming. The 9/10 star rating is definitely deceptive. Do not believe that guests would have rated this hotel so highly.

The property itself was very clean and felt very safe to be in. The location was good in terms of tourist attractions to see nearby, however the location itself in general wasn’t very appealing. Hotel looked newer and clean but everything surrounding was very run down and older.

This is not a 4 star property! 2 at most - the entire area around the hotel is under major infrastructure construction and there is no information about that in the booking info. The whole area just felt undesirable
The property was in tired shape- the photos are very strategic and make it look way better than it is
We arrived late and front desk staff were not friendly
Beds were terribly uncomfortable, shower was not great looking so didn’t use, towels were not nice - furniture had seen better days and there was just a musty smell to the whole hotel
we just couldn’t stay there for two nights so found a new hotel and checked out early
Contacted Expedia to facilitate a refund for our second night but the hotel denied the refund. Overall a terrible experience. Do not stay here -

Average Stay with Ongoing street constructions

I recently stayed at the Casa Nithra Hotel and had an average experience. The hotel is a bit old and could use some updating, but my room was clean and comfortable enough for my short stay. However, the ongoing street construction outside made the location less desirable, and it was quite noisy during the day.

I was also surprised to see some 5-star reviews here, as my experience did not quite match up to their glowing reviews. Perhaps they had different expectations or were not affected by the construction noise.

Overall, I would recommend Casa Nithra as an average option for a short stay, but be aware of the ongoing construction and adjust your expectations accordingly.
