Room was decent, but could have been cleaned more throughly. The older gentleman at the front desk is extremely rude and incorrigible. They also ask for a key deposit here which is not included in the booking details. Hotel also only provides one pillow and one towel per guest. No hand towels, no washcloths.

I extended my stay here because I liked it so much. It’s in a great area and the rooms are clean and comfortable with wifi, AC, mini fridge. The rooms are cleaned daily lobby is nice and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I was lucky to find this place , prices are affordable , rooms are clean with air conditioning and internet, daily room cleanings and very friendly staff. It was in a great location with lots of amazing food and close to Rambuttri village and Kaosan road. All other areas are easy to access from this hotel also

We are(4 friends) stayed 2nd dec to 5th dec in bangkok. The hotel reception asked 2000THB amount for deposit but we paid full amount through online, and it's refundable but hotel put unnecessary charges because of pillow cover stain. Its charged for 200THB, in before am I stayed so many hotels, no one asked for pillow cover stains this is new scam for us. So please be aware.

Great Location with Clean, Simple Rooms

Hotel staff was very helpful in calling taxis and arranging transportation to the airport upon checkout. The room was clean with two free water bottles daily. They provided delicious pineapple cookies in the lobby that were a nice, yummy snack on the way in or out. Great location to local shopping, 7-Eleven, Khao San Road and a few Wat temples. It’s not a fancy place, but tidy, clean and in a good location.

Not the best location for getting Tuk Tuks but a 20 minute walk from Kohsan Road. Great place to stay for a few days of sight seeing in Bangkok. There is a free breakfast provided, but we missed it as we had trips booked. Good value for money with the price.

For the price this hotel is fantastic. Don’t be put off that it is close to road as you can’t hear traffic noise. Within walking distance of Khao SAN Road. Lots of shops, places to eat and 7 Eleven all close by. Safe in Room. Good Air Conditioning. Free Breakfast of toast, tea, coffee, juice or water. Large room.

Gorgeous Hotel

Stunning and well maintained Hotel. The Housekeeping was great and my sheets were changed daily and the fridge topped up with water so I could take a few bottles out with me every day whilst sightseeing. Every night I returned the Night Security guard came out to greet me with a lovely smile and greeting so I always felt very safe and comfortable. Plenty of Tea and coffee with complementary biscuits in the lobby area; personally I would have preferred the facilities in my own room, but thats just me. It was actually no bother and the area was kept scrupulously clean. The Wifi was a bit finicky - not easy log in details and I had to ask for another as my initial one wasnt working - it took 5 attempts to find me one that worked! These details also had to be re-input on each floor and every time you logged on when you returned to the Hotel, but to be fair it was a strong, fast connection. The only bad thing about this hotel is its location. It is not near anything and you really have to work to get a taxi driver to take you there, as many said it was too far out or quoted a ridiculous price. Of course this is not the hotels fault (Its a Thai Taxi thing) but worth knowing, as it often took me up to 40 mins to get a Taxi to take me who would put the meter on. I travelled as far as I could on the Metro to the train station in Chinatown and hailing one from there as that seemed to work better and a return was around 70-80 Thai Baht in around 15 minutes.

Lovely hotel, close enough to walk to koh San Road, Yet far away enough that you have a quite night. Staff really helpful, rang our taxi to pick us up for the airport upon leaving. Free maps available and tea and coffee available 24/7 in reception.

Overall a nice hotel ....offers free tea and coffee everyday with biscuits and toast in the morning! 5 min walk from the main road and a lovely security guard! The staff are helpful and they store your bags for the day if you have already checked out! Rooms were okay - fridge with free water and good air con! WiFi was not great in the rooms however and the bathroom could do with a good scrub. The view was also not fantastic! Good to stay for a short period - I’ve stayed in worse in Bangkok

Bad bad bad!

If you’re looking for somewhere just to close your eyes and run after without looking around or using the facilities, please be a guest. The place is filthy!

My wife and I usually aren’t picky when it comes to accommodations from 5 star hotels to “3 so called star” hotels in Bangkok. We know where we’re coming and wasn’t expecting so much for the price, but at least somewhere clean would be nice.

Just pure filth! The pictures will speak for themselves.

great location, great staff - A OK for me

Great location. I walk when I travel and this was great. Not the 4 Seasons, yet no surprises at this property. Fabulous staff. I needed 2 more days in Bangkok and I booked here again. Needless to say I liked my stay here. Someone said in a previous review that there was a rooster waking her up. The rooster is still here, )))) this is Bangkok, not Manhattan. Now if I were here for business I might look else where. No matter I liked my stay.

The rooms (we visited 2 rooms in total) where falling apart the walls where dirty and fittings in the bathroom had mould along the seams, the tiles had black all around lots of tiles.. go to Khaosan road instead.. much more happening in that area and a lot more choice plus Lots of places to eat.

Terrible. First room we were given had mould covering the wall next to the bed. So we asked to be moved to another room. This room also had a musty smell, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The toilet broke on our last night. Room was tiny. The staff were extremely rude and would not acknowledge us when we left or arrived at the hotel - the only exception was the young man with the braces who worked in the evening he was friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a very rough area. Deceptive photos - look elsewhere.

Swana Bangkok Hotel

This hotel is in a decent location for seeing the famous Wats and the Grand Palace. It is walkable to Ko San Road and several other items on that side of Bangkok. The room was a decent size, and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was not very clean. Hotel staff was polite. Free/reliable WIFI. Free coffee and tea in the lobby. NO Durian allowed in the hotel.

Nice hotel close to Khoasan

This is a good hotel if you are on a budget and a single traveler who doesn't want to stay in a hostel .........the rooms are clean and have a fridge which is regularly topped up with water, air on and toiletries.
Only 5 floors so not too much walking.
Location is good there are nearby shops and if you don't mind walking it's 15 minutes to Khosaen Rd and 10 to Rama VIII bridge
Only downside is no BTS close by but it's so easy to get taxi meter which are very cheap .
Beware the tuck tiks though as they will try and con you .

Don't waste vacation time in Bangkok

Not a lot to do in Bangkok if you're not into night clubs or temples.
Swana Hotel rooms are small and layout of the hotel in general is poor. Service at the hotel is mediocre and they made us feel more like an intruder than a guest. Typical Bangkok for cleanliness. Not great.
Shower drain was plugged in first room they put us in on third floor. Room on second floor shower drain was a bit better but still slow and the safe didn't work so they had to come and fix it which they did.
We were grateful to leave Bangkok...

Terrible staff, no ELEVATORS

This was our last stop in a month long trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. We stay in many hotels, some nicer than others and I can honestly say the staff at this hotel are the rudest. This was by far the worst customer service experience of my life. This hotel has no elevators which we found out upon arrival which explains the snarky remarks the front staff clerk when I answered his question about how much luggage we had. I'm not sure what he was complaining about since all he did was bring the smallest bag up and offered to keep the rest of our luggage at the front desk in order to avoid carrying it up the stairs.

In the morning when we woke up there was a flood in our bathroom. The caulking on the toilet and hose was wearing off so we switched rooms.

We ended up having to extend our stay in Bangkok and decided to stay at the hotel because we didn't want to have to pack up all our stuff again. When we advised the front desk that we were extending our stay we were surprised to learned that because it was a separate booking we actually had to check out of the empty room and check back into a different room. We later learned the room we checked out of was empty. The front desk didn't even bother to check if the room would be available for us to stay. They made us check out and check back in likely because it was too much of a hassle for them. Breakfast consists of toast with jam, instant coffee and black tea.

New hotel close to Koh San Road

Stayed here 2 nights during Songkran and found the hotel well located within 5 minute tuk tuk to Koh San Road.
Room was clean and modern and fairly new the staff friendly and helpful but no lift had to walk up stairs 4 floors.
The direct neighbourhood hasn't got anything going on but you can tuk tuk to the action quick enough.

Tidy hotel in walking distance to Khao San Road.

Really enjoyed staying here. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom small but functional. Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, helped us with taxis and storing our luggage. Security at night was great. Good location for us as it was a 10min walk away from Khao San road so away from the noise. I'd recommend staying here if you are happy to walk to Khao San road and want value for money.

This hotel is an excellent value. Very clean, with friendly staff. The rooms have nice laminate flooring and the air conditioner's work well. It's easy to get to the Grand Palace or Siam Square, but not so close that you're constantly surrounded by boorish tourists. The breakfast consists of toast, tea, and cookies, so you'll want to get something outside the hotel.

Swana is a little further from Khao San Road, but it's an easy walk past fantastic and cheap food vendors. The room is quite lovely and good value for money. The free cookies in reception was a nice touch. The staff tried to be helpful, but we found exploring on our own to be more helpful as the staff simply recommended for us to go eat somewhere on Khao San Road. Overall, it was a good experience and would consider staying here again.

Didn't live up to expectations like in pictures but wasn't really a disappointment either. The hotel is on the older side but things are maintained alright. We got a room with a very little window so the room was dim. Probably would have had a better experience with a upgraded room (instead of the basic). The location is quite convenient as it is within walking distance to khao san road and the pier but the neighborhood within a 300m vicinity is quite local and somewhat poorer. It will safice if you are just with friends, not looking to for luxury, and looking to go out most of the time instead of the hotel

Pro's: Great location about 10-15 minutes walking from Khao San Road. Located on Wisut Kasat Road which is quite quiet. Clean, modern room for very little money. Wifi works excellent. Good spot to spend for a few days in Bangkok.

Con's: None that come to mind! Rooms are small, but this was not an issue for us.

Great choice for those on medium budget

We spent there 6 nights. Really nice & helpful staff! Always smiling & willing to help. 15 minute walk from Kao San Road - but it really pays off, because it's quiet & you can get a good night rest (regarding hotels at Kao San Road - I really don't know how people can rest there, it's a 24/7 party there....). Rooms cleaned everyday. Bed & cushions - a bit to hard for me, but it's really a personal thing & it doesn't influence my good opinion on the hotel. Good breakfast - nothing extraordinary but it makes your stomach full ;-) 3 options - two Thai-Style and one American-style breakfasts. Good air-con, cold & warm water shower, very spacious rooms (we had superior). We recommend it!

Our stay at the Swana Bangkok was wonderful. We arrived very late (1 am) and there was helpful, courteous staff to check us in and show us to our room. The room was clean and modern. The location was great-a short walk to Kao San Road, but away from all the noise. It is next to a busy road, (but what isn't in Bangkok) so there was the occasional motorbike noise. The staff was also helpful with directions, internet access, arranging taxis and the small cafe served tasty thai dishes (the breakfast congee soup alone is worth coming back for). If your looking for a basic, clean room, in an area that's a great location to other tourist points of interest I would recommend Swana.

Ho alloggiato più giorni in questo hotel, alternati da check in e check out per tour fuori città, cambiando sempre stanza.
L'hotel è molto pulito ed in ordine, le stanze sono spaziose e abbastanza recenti, considerando la media in Bangkok .
L'aria condizionata funziona bene, il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, mi hanno tenuto i bagagli in una stanza chiusa durante la mia assenza.
Posizione ottima vicino a Khao San road, e alla fermata del bus per il centro città, e stazione.
Caffè, tè e biscotti sempre disponibili in reception. La Hall è molto bella ed accogliente.

Kleines ruhiges Hotel in der Nähe zur Khao Sanroad

Das Hotel liegt ruhig und nur ca. 1 km von der Khao Sanroad entfernt. Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber zweckmässig eingerichtet und sauber.

1. 고가 도로 옆이라 체크인 할 때는 걱정을 했는데 소음은 괜찮았음. 호텔이 오래되었으나 고객을 생각한 설계로 조명, 화재시 대피로 등은 잘 되어 있었음.

Middel - ok til prisen.

Hotellet så rigtig fint ud da vi trådte ind i lobbyen. Ikke verden hyggeligste kvarter, fandt vi hurtig ud af efter at havde set andre steder af Bangkok. Det var dog let tilgængeligt at komme rundt både med taxa, gåben og tuk-tuk.
Da vi så værelset blev vi en smule skuffet. Det var ikke så rent som man kunne håbe, og det var relativ småt, samt sengen stod klemt op ad en væg, hvilket ikke er særlig hyggeligt. Badeværelset var i OK stand, men igen renheden var ikke i top.
Personalet var dog virkelig søde og hjælpsomme både med taxa og baggageopbevaring.
Dejlig med gratis vand på værelset, samt te og kaffe i lobbyen.

Nice hotel near cosy area

comfortable and clean hotel near Khao San Road and close to the old city... perfect place for exploring Bangkok, area quiet and 15 min walk through cosy district to Khao San Road. Hot water and okay big room. helpful staff at the front desk.

Hotel propre.
Personnel souriant, agréable et disponible
Le hall est très beau.
Les chambres sont confortables.
(douche et wc séparé, meme si dans la meme pièce, sèche cheveux a disposition, coffre etc.)

La vue des chambres n'est pas transcendantes, mais nous n'y sommes restés que pour dormir

Dans le centre ville... a pied, tous les sites incontournables sont accessibles.
