If you want to explore the \"old city\" of Bangkok, this is a very good hotel for you. You can walk to the Grand Palace, The National Museum, The National Gallery, Thammasat University,The Queens Museum...you can walk to the river boat cruise...as well as places like Adhere the 13th Blues Club - a very cool place. Himalaya Coffee is nearby - lots of coffee shops etc.

I wanted to save money so I took a room with no air conditioning, but the ceiling fan was good enough. Good bed, roomy room, cleaning if you want it, hot water in the shower...and you can find places to get your clothing cleaned. I was also able to find a place on 2 soi Samsen toward Samsen itself where I could take a mini-bus to the airport at the end.

The only problem was the spotty wifi - I think you can pay them for really good wifi, but what I did was to get a new sim card with unlimited minutes and I used my cell phone's hotspot for wifi when the hotel's wasn't working.

In sum, if you want to save money and explore the Old City - this is the hotel for you.

The room felt like neglected( garments had the stains on the bed had an others long hair( we are seniors have short hairs), hasn't been cleaned food or snacks removed. The amenities such as soap, shampoo, hair conditioner were not provided. we were bite by bed bug. The toilet flush water was very slow. Basically my opinion is that hotel is not appropriate to stsy.
I may not recommend to the others.

We chose this place for good location. We stayed there for 5 nights. Affordable, convenient, worth the money. Nothing to complaint. It's OK. Only problem is \"No elevator\" for my mom who cannot walk and cannot use the stair.

Stayed at this hotel many times over the years. This is the first time I found it dirty. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all and there was poop stuck to the toilet bowl. She was furious when asked to bless it. Hallways were clean in the middle of the floor. Very disappointed this time.

No aircon. No TV other than Thai/Japan.
No service for room in 9 days, no drinking water, tiny soap, no clean towels, no clean bedding, no safe.
Staff surly and miserable.
Drunk/drugged/noisy guests making noise all night on their mobiles in the forecourt next to our room - no sleep until dawn then new foundations being hammered in at both side of hotel all day as redevelopment of sites around.

Do Not Accept a Room Next to The Forecourt.

I booked 5 months prior but this was the only room available when we checked in.
We have stayed here before and it was OK but now its a Hell Hole.

They must have photoshopped all the grime and mold out of the photos. The staff barely acknowledged us. We were on the third floor with no elevator so we had to carry our bags. Definitely not disability accessible. One of the windows in our room wouldn’t lock which made me feel unsafe in an already sketchy area. Taxis had a miserable time trying to find the location. The ceiling fan was black with dust and grime that literally flew down chunks of grime onto me in my sleep. The bed had one thin sheet and one blanket, stained. I didn't dare sit on the toilet. We stayed 3 nights and hated every second of it.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

This is the worst hotel in the world, I wouldn’t even let my dog spend a night here! The first room we were offered hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupants. The second room we were offered, the door was rotted, there wasn’t any bedding on the beds and the bathroom was full of dead flies. Didn’t stay any longer to be offered a third and just walked out. I know it was cheap for £12 for the night, but they basically just robbed me of that money.

The hotel was basic and not like the photos shown on Expedia at all. The first night was horrible; we were given a room with torn blanket (and told there was none to replace until the next day), the bathroom door was rotted, the sink faucet would not turn off, and the shower only dripped water. I got bitten all over by bed bugs that might. Upon threatening to check out, we were moved to a different room … much improved, although still a basic room. The staff were not friendly or unfriendly but hardly spoke English, so I had to rely on Google translate. Again, I stress the hotel is NOT as represented by the photos in Expedia but if you don’t get room 160, you might be ok. However, I can only say that for room 354.
I think Expedia has to take some responsibility for not verifying that there might be false advertising on some of the hotels they listed. This was not the first time I have encountered similar situation. Beware when you book through Expedia.

The washroom door broken. Very dirty washroom. Dusty mirror and I spend the night outside in Khaosan road without sleep although I had a flight to check in. So I just entered and left. I only came back to pick up my luggage. Refeptionist is horrible specially the Chinese looking old man. Please never visit this hotel.

This was a pleasantly located property in a walkable area of the older area of Bangkok (popular with tourists and budget travelers). The staff is very pleasant and helpful, air-conditioning worked well, and the shower water pressure and hot water was good! The rooms themselves are a little dusty (walls, floor, and surfaces), but the bed was comfy and clean. This is a great place for a budget traveler!

I think is the worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life….inside looks like the hunted house from a Halloween movie!!! The room was already dirty when we arrived and we stayed 4 days..nobody never cleaned our room!! It was full of little bugs and the bathroom was horrible. I’ll never want to see that place anymore…ok cheap but at least should have been clean!!

The staff at reception on day 1 was not polite at all. When asked to replace the room to lower level was refused straight regardless of the hotel was floors were empty. Was brushed off by saying that is the only room they have available. The overall rooms are outdated old, Duvet was not clean having stains.

It was close to Khao San Rd, I didn't know that when I booked the Hotel, so that was a pleasant surprise.
It is Centrally located between many Top Tourist hot spots, which made it easier to see and do more in less time, and didn't have to fight BKK Traffic. It's walking distance to the River which makes taking Boat Trips easy. The Location Makes this Hotel a Top Choice in booking it again in the Future.

The property is old but it’s clean. The room has no new anything except the flat screen tv. It smells old, like your great grandmother’s house who hasn’t moved anything or bought new furniture in 50 years. However, it’s clean and livable (aside from tiny ants). My room didn’t have working AC but the ceiling fan cooled down the room just fine. There’s also a small fridge but it didn’t work. For the most part, the hotel was quiet except for occasional children crying at night. The staff are polite but don’t talk much and I hardly ever saw them. If you want anything like more towels, toilet paper, or your trash thrown, you’ll have to ask. Otherwise there’s no attempt to clean the room.
You cannot beat the price and location of this hotel! There’s a lot of other hotels and hostels in the surrounding area. In addition to tons of laundry services. Also, Two minutes up an alley way leads to streets that have many restaurants to choose from. I like Momo restaurant the best!

My rooms windows were not airtight, was litterally reception dining outside my window, i had them closed the whole time cause all the ciggarette smoke drifted in, the room was smokey the whole time, bad electricity connections with plug sockets, full of bugs, some mold in the bathroom and could do with a new shower, the tiling in the bathroom i stayed in was dangerous and slippery and the step that keeps the water out of the bedroom across the bathroom door was litterally sharp as a blade no protection on the edges, the staff were quite vague barely knew the most basic of english which is abit tricky despite it not being thailands national language, I think its alright for a night at most. Its your choice whether your willing to take the risk with it., Also another note for anyone, its super loud and i found the experience wierd at times like in the middle of the night 1 of the staff members i assume cause they were always speaking thai with the same accent every night was banging about scrapping the chairs about intentionally to be a nuisance, They will play music and bang about all night till about 5 6 am, just a dark dingey place to be honest

Hotel is like a 2 or less stars hotel.
The misses: 1/Don’t expect the staffs to come and clean your room. You can be gone all day no one will come change the sheets, towels, etc. Unless you tell them. 2/ Equipments were barely working. AC unit was just in working condition but you can’t control the intensity of the fan or power. It’s at the minimum so it will take time for the room to cool down. I just left it ON when i left the room. Bathroom and restroom are just the minimum. In this part of the world, everyone use a bidet. So if you need toilet paper. Go get it at 7-eleven or ask. I just didn’t bother and got some at the convenience store. The equipments are old so sometimes, for some reasons, the smells from sewers come back to the room. Close the bathroom or you’ll have surprises.
The goods: 1/ it’s closed to several restaurants. You’ll have plenty of choices to find whatever you want to eat. Staffs from the restaurants are friendly.

The location is very good, in the old town neighborhood among the locals. All main attractions are walkable distance but there are also many buses to take you all around the city, just check the lines Googl maps. Khao San road is also near and places to eat, many temples are in the area. Muay Thai arena is also 15 minutes on foot away. Location is great. But...
The hotel itself is very old and shabby. The photos you will see on the bookig sites do not match what you will see on the spot. The room were covered with tones of dust everywhere I touched, the fridge was not working well, turning into ice anything put iside to cool. In front of the windows there are some panels so there is no air circulation inside and is always too hot. I don't know when the hotel was built but seems since then was not touched a single thing nor repared, nor clined. At least the bed sheats and towels were clean.The toilets had the worst condition I have ever seen. And there are a lot of small yellow ants all over the room. I left open a small bag of pinuts inside my bag and in the morning found it full of them inside. Sometimes they got in the bed. Left side of the hotel is very noisy in the morning, a lot of small birds and crows are making such a noise since 5 am that wakes up from a sleep. Or a neighbour doing some early works in his yard, or very often someone is riding a motirbike there. Not so comfortable stay, the price tells everything but what is presented online is misliding.

We booked two rooms for a night and when we turned up the hotel had no rooms available even though the booking was paid for. The man working at the hotel was extremely rude and was shouting at us. The hotel offered no support. Other people were also turning up with bookings and were being told there are no rooms available.

The hotels itself looked terrible, very dirty and old. Staff are rude and take no care in the hotel and customers.

We’ve travelled Thailand and paid less for better accommodation.

I have problem with the booking. I booked a twin room
with air-con but the hotel told me the rate I booked is a fan room so I decided to stay only 3 nights instead of 4 to solve the problem. I told the hotel to check the description on Expedia to make sure it is correct because I am sure that the room I booked is air-con. The description is still the same as of today.

They give me a double room on the ground floor. The place is old. Room has no view as you cannot open the window. The bottled water provided is a refill, not a sealed one as in picture. The room has wet smell from the toilet and I feel smoking smell during the last two days. There is no electrical outlet free to use. The only two available are used for TV and refrigerator so bring adapter if you will need to use it.
