Nice, clean and comfortable room on the fourth floor of an apartment building.
Our host, Giovanni, sent us plenty of excellent information by WhatsApp prior to our arrival,then met us at the front door of the building to take us up to our room (there is a lift).
The whole place is tastefully decorated with a clean, modern vibe and,as the name suggests, beautiful photos adorning the walls .
The room itself was fairly compact but still had a 2 door wardrobe and a good size balcony with table and chairs.
A kettle and teas were supplied on request and a light continental breakfast was served each morning in the bright and airy breakfast room.
The only minor thing was that my wife said her side of the bed creaked when she moved but at least it didn't wake me up!

A very good value and well located

Giovanni was an excellent host, helping us find the hotel, making sure we were comfortable and knowledgeable about the ins and outs, good recommendations on dining and activities. The room was well appointed, clean and the bed was comfortable. A to-go b-fast would have been nice for our early departure.

Our large external window shutter was very heavy to lift up.

We loved our stay with Giovanni. His communication before our stay and after was really helpful, including guides for where to park and what to see in the area.

We also went on a boat trip he recommended which was really good.

The room was spacious and comfortable and quiet considering its location in the town. Everything was clean and easy to use.

The breakfast each morning was plentiful and served at a set time with the other guests.

The location makes this B&B great as you don’t need to use your car. We would stay here again.

Love the location. Easy walk to the main attractions. Our host was very nice, helpful, and breakfast was good if you opt for it. There is hit or miss street parking, but it is safe. Also a pay garage is near. The photography by our host is spectacular!

10 out 10 experience!

We had an amazing stay at the the Photoguest! Giovanni our host was incredible- and happens to be a gifted photographer hence the name of this hotel.
Giovanni provided us with lots of wonderful tips, including 2 restaurants that were a real treat- giving us a real taste of Sicily. We appreciated his excellent hospitality and all the little extra bits of help. Highly recommend this place. Very clean, quiet, comfortable bedding. Don’t hesitate to book this place it’s a winner! Great location too- we walked to everything easily!

We really enjoyed our stay and Giovanni our host was extremely helpful. The location is close to Ortigia island so when your car is parked for free near the hotel you can walk to the island and enjoy the sights and the restaurants. Breakfast was very nice as well!

What a great location. We were central to so much. Both Ortygia and Siracusa. The B&B is in a condominium building in a very walkable neighborhood. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon so street parking wasn’t easy to find but we got a spot across the street and were able to leave it there for the duration of our stay.

Giovanni was welcoming, easy to communicate with and gave great suggestions to make our stay in Siracusa better.

B&B is in a great location. Walking distance to Island of Ortigia with lots of restaurants and shops to choose from. Host/owner Giovanni is very kind and accommodating. Note: there is no parking on premises. You need to find free parking on streets surrounding the building, if not there is paid parking available at a parking garage next door to building. Only complaint we had were the towels, which were worn and smelled moldy. Overall great location with updated/modern rooms.

Loved the place and the location, it is centralized and walkable, we had our own car and did street parking for free and you can leave the car for days if you want, I thought it was going to be hard but finding a parking, but we managed to find more than a spot on side streets every one of our 4 nights . Place is immaculate and comfortable, breakfast could be better though, it is not much and no change everyday. The owner is a wonderful pleasant and helpful and thoughtful person and very accommodating. We would certainly go back to the same place if we were to go back to Seracisw..

This is a perfect location: close to the rail station and midway between the northern archialogical park and the southern end of Syracuse where the bridges take you over to the old island city. I can highly recommend this property. It was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The host, Giovanni, went out of his way to be helpful, even to the point of assisting with an accidental double credit charge that occurred a day or so earlier in our trip. He became the go-between in a situation that was diificult for us due to language barrier.

Our host was friendly and had some good tips but had an outdated map that was too small to read and forgot to tell us about holiday closures. Also, the bed was somewhat uncomfortable, and the AC not the best. Our balcony was nice to have but not the view the pictures indicated. We would've appreciated simple tips on how to get to Ortigia also.

This is the place to stay in Siracusa, Sicily

Giovanni and Leonora are perfect hosts as they are patient and explain everything that has to do with their B&B. They are quite proud of their business and it shows in how they pay attention to their guests.

The rooms are spacious, modern and very comfortable. Plus the location cannot be beat as you can literally visit all of the key tourist attractions on Ortigia and in Siracusa such as the Neaopolis Archaeological Park or the Paolo Orsi Museuem.

They even tried to help track down some distant relatives of ours when we told them that we had family that originated in a neighboring town. My partner and I were looking for an accommodation that would be reasonably priced, close to the historical sites in Siracusa and Ortigia and would provide a solution for parking a car.
We were lucky enough that PhotoGuest House had an opening. The host and his wife were more than welcoming, helping us with every odd request that we had, providing an amazing breakfast and also great recommendations for what to do in the city.

PhotoGuest is a wonderful B&B with lovely charm and modern decor. The room itself (including the bathroom) was very clean and comfortable, as was the dining area. The location of PhotoGuest was ideal. Everything is close by - the historical tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes and the sea front are no more than 10 minutes walk. Giovanni and Eleanora are excellent hosts and very much make you feel at home - nothing is too much trouble. Giovanni’s extensive knowledge of Syracuse meant he could answer all of our questions. He made some great recommendations for places to eat, attractions to visit and excursions to go on. Giovanni also went out of his way to make dinner reservations and book my husband and I on excursions. Breakfast was delicious everyday. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PhotoGuest if you are visiting Syracuse. 10 out of 10!

Giovanni and his wife really have a passion for their small B&B Syracuse place which is very clean and modern. They were always helpful with any information and would respond via WhatsApp for any restaurant ideas and any other assistance. The location is located nicely between the ruins and the Ortiga island which most of the restaurants & other tourist places lie. We got to meet at breakfast other people at their communal table which was nice. They definitely made it very enjoyable. We would stay again without hesitation.

We are very happy with our stay. Eleanora reached out to us to make sure our check in went smooth and even helped us find parking, which was actually very easy to find if you know the local rules. The location was good, 8 min walk to Ortyiga and 10 minute walk to the archeological park. Area is safe with lots of amenities. Breakfast is great and Giovanni is a great host and will go out of his way to assist if you are in need of help. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Giovanni and Eleonora are the finest hosts, giving you all the right advice to get the full Sicilian experience.

From parking our hire car for us, to recommending where to eat and what to see, the stay was superb.

If you get a chance, make sure you ask for one of their excellent Canolli’s at breakfast and Giovanni’s cappucinos are a must.

Breakfast was all guests at one long table. Not enough bedside room for cell phone, tablet, personal items. Parking was not easy, but Giovani was very helpful. There is a lift to the fourth floor, but first you must navigate a marble staircase, about ten or twelve steps. Good location, able to walk to Oritigia.

Also Eleanora offered her expertise on local places to go! Giovanni was very helpful basically walking us to the bus station for the airport! I highly recommended staying here. This was a fantastic place to stay. The location is great about half way between Ortigia Island and the Archaeological Park, there is plenty to see and do in the area. The host is an excellent photographer and there are fantastic examples of work on the walls that make you want to visit the beautiful sites at different times of the day and year. The room and bathroom we had were very clean, modern and stylish. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of cereals, juices, fruits, yogurts, breads, cheese, ham etc. The hosts went out of there way to welcome us, giving us top tips on what to see, opening times, where to eat etc. They even booked us a table for dinner. Directions to the B and B were spot on and when we arrived our car was parked for us in a very close by, safe location. I would recommend this B & B to anyone.
Unfortunately I became ill during my stay, the kindness and help we received from our hosts was above and beyond expectations - thank you

Parking can be found nearby the B&B, harder during the day, but easy at night.

The 'photo' in the title refers to the photography of our host, Giovanni. Enlargements of his phenomenal work grace the walls of this very modern hotel. The room was clean, well organized and very functional. Giovanni and his wife Eleanora were delightful and as charming as could be, speaking English very well and being exceptionally knowledgeable - she's a local tour guide! The delicious breakfast was excellent. Besides yogurt, cereal, eggs and fresh bread we had homemade cakes and sweets.

When we arrived (we were 2 women traveling alone), Giovanni met us and valet parked our car for us. A convenience we truly appreciated. The location was perfect and convenient and we never used the car again until, sadly, we had to leave to our next destination. Stacey & Rhonda

We loved this modern new B&B. The room was spacious and comfy beds and shower was one of the bigger ones on our trip:-) It was an oasis amid the hustle of Siracusa. The breakfast was very nice euro/italian continental. Much to our surprise, there were 4 other couples there too..... the layout of this B&B was well thought out as you feel much privacy here yet it was to meet everyone at the large breakfast table. . Giovanni and Eleonora were super hosts...hands on and responsive. Their knowledge of the area is extensive and for us, they master english very well. They even recommended one of our favorite stops on the way to Agrigento. Parking is a challenge in Siracusa but there are streets nearby to park. We were very glad to stay here!

This was our 1st time in a B&B and have to say we were quite impressed. Our hosts Giovanni & Eleandora (may be spelled wrong) were wonderful! Upon arriving, she came out to help us find free safe parking on the street across from the B&B. She provided us with a good map of Siracusa with a list of different types of restaurants that was very useful.
The room was large & very clean with a spacious modern bathroom. Very good wifi & AC. The location was perfect. Walking to Ortygia was about an 8 minute walk to the short bridge. The archeological sites were about the same distance.
The breakfast had a nice selection of fruit, pasteries, cheeses and more to start your day.
I would highly recommend PhotoGuest B&B!

This was our second visit to Siracusa and we wanted to stay in a different part of town. That, and the reviews, were the reason we booked PhotoGuest and we are very glad we did. The area was interesting & convenient and the accommodation comfortable and tasteful. However it was our hosts who really made our visit memorable. Giovanni & his wife could not have done more for us - from parking our car on arrival to recommending places to visit, making reservations at restaurants and preparing delicious breakfasts, they went out of their way to ensure we loved Siracusa.

Fantastic base for trip to East Sicily

We had the most fantastic seven night stay at Photoguest. Giovanni was happy to help with any queries we had even before our trip began!

Both he and Eleanora were on hand to provide advice and guidance for day trips, including tips for parking, places to eat and coupons for Mount Etna.

Clean and spacious rooms, a wonderful shower, balcony and yummy breakfast. The cake each morning was a very tasty treat.

Location was great for seeing Syracuse and Ortigia, as well as driving to nearby attractions - Noto, Ragusa and Modica, plus a couple of nature reserves.

We couldn’t have asked more from Photoguest and we hope to visit again in the future!!

Breakfast was lovely especially the homemade orange cake.

The only place to stay in Siracusa!

Can't recommend PhotoGuest enough. Not only were the facilities brand new and beautifully renovated (it is in the typical style of B&Bs in Siracusa--a partial floor of a larger apartment building), but we found the location great--just across the bridge in the more modern part of town from the historical Ortigia, without the limitations of being on Ortigia like crazy streets (would have been a nightmare if you have a car) and restricted plumbing situations. But most terrific about the stay was that we almost felt like we were staying with friends--proprietor Giovanni and his wife absolutely made our stay. From helping us find street parking nearby (as in physically helping us park our car!) to providing us a list of the best restaurants in town (we made the mistake of straying from their list once only!) to what do see, where to go in town and elsewhere...they were not just great resources but we really enjoyed talking with them and getting an insider Sicilian perspective on the country and even world events. Giovanni was always available for questions at all hours via Whatsapp which was so kind and helpful, and the place was decorated with his gorgeous photography. Lovely lovely people.

Best choice in Syracusa

Great location. Less than 10 mins to Ortigia and any other sightseeing spots. The owner gives a lot of information on Syracusa and even in other cities. Room condition was absolutely best among all the hotels I stayed for 2weeks in Italy.
