We had such a lovely room, the private patio was gorgeous with many health plants and panoramic views of Ortigia. We could see the city on the right and the sea on the left. With the wooden table & chairs we had a lovely breakfast out there with a view and we were able to catch a beautiful sunset on our first night without having to leave. The staff made us feel comfortable and welcome, and the room was very clean & quiet. We would absolutely come back again.

We were really fortunate to find a free parking spot right by the hotel where we just left the car for 3 days. Note that the hotel occupies the upper floors of the building. It is well marked, but you have to find the 2 buzzers next to the big wooden door, and press the bottom button to get buzzed in. We loved it and would stay there again.

Very healthy breakfast with lots of chives and fresh pastries. They have a valet service to park your car when you stay. Also a small terrace roof to have breakfast or just sit. I did yoga there in the morning. A perfect location to just go out the door and begin walking to see the sights of Ortigia.

Unique room with a skylight and terrace. Located right near the water. We also parked in the paid lot right there- not cheap but worth it for the proximity to the hotel. Excellent little hotel overlooking the water, on the ‘island’ of Ortigia in Syracuse. Very attractive and vibrant area with bars and restaurants etc a short walk. Ortigia does have a ZTL, but the hotel handled the registration (hopefully!), and parking as in most towns and cities is difficult, but we found a free spot by the road outside the hotel.
Room was clean and modern and the breakfast with a good variety of savoury and sweet items was very good. A very enjoyable stay in Ortigia and the hotel.

They went out of their way to accommodate us, truly first class service! The place itself is lovely, breakfasts were delicious and the location is perfect - easy to explore all of Ortigia or to walk to the train station. Can't recommend staying here enough!!! This small boutique hotel is the perfect place to stay in Ortigia! The owner, Fiora, met us upon our arrival and had gone above and beyond to make our stay and the stay of all of her guests a special experience. This is a wonderful, small B&B on Ortigia in Syracuse. We had a room with an upstairs, private terrace, amazing! Views of the harbor, cruise ships, sunset. Breakfast is also wonderful buffet on a terrace. One of the most surprising hidden gems of our whole European adventure.

This little hotel is something of a gem. Wonderfully located on the waterfront in Ortigia, it offers courteous and helpful service, an excellent breakfast on the terrace, and a fine and comfortable room. The furnishings are not in the first blush of youth, but our overall experience was very positive.

It’s a perfect location, in the old building, with the roof access, and the breakfast is served there, with a view! — but the receptionist’s attitude, the noise of the breakfast preparation at 7am and the hot water in the shower changes unpredictably.
So just be prepared, don’t annoy the receptionist about the elevator (he will express clearly and long enough how wrong and stupid you are) and you’ll be fine.

Location is superb for walking Syracuse and we parked for free for 3 nights. Rooms are clean and spacious, had a safe, fridge and kettle. Breakfast selection was the best we had in Sicily with freshly made cakes and tarts, fruit and savoury. Highly recommend staying here.

Very comfortable room, although we were confirmed months prior for a sea view room and told on arrival that they were all taken! Breakfast was good and varied and with a nice view. We were most disappointed by the lack of help on our arrival. We called ahead and were told they would help us park but the young girl at the desk basically told us to go look for parking - which was non-existent. We parked in a very expensive hourly lot until the next day when the much more helpful and knowledgeable Daniele “rescued us.”HE was wonderful.

Lovely location near the sea and historic area. The only complaint is there was no air in the room. When I complained, the manager did supply the room with a fan. The room also faced an area that was flooded with pigeons who cooed all night so you have to keep the windows closed.

The bathroom was smelly due to faulty sewage drain installation; smells made their way into bathroom and room. Really bad. We raised this with the woman at the reception and she never came back to us with an answer. Overall a bad experience. The only noce thing was the breakfast at the terrace but, truth be told, it did not make up for the awful smell at our room. Our room should be closed!

Located along the water at the entrance to the Ortigia island, this was a great location for visiting both the old area (Ortigia) and sites on the Siracusa "mainland". Our room was clean and comfortable, though a bit small, the view over the water was great, and breakfast buffet wonderful.

We loved this charming hotel, just on the island of Ortigia. Our ensuite room was great, we had a balcony looking out on water and fishing boats, and a kettle and fridge, which were much appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and eaten at the top of the building looking out on the bay: bread, cheese, ham, eggs, different fruit, cereal, cakes, cannoli, yoghurts, ricotta cheese, bruschetta, etc. was served. Tasting prickly pear fruit was interesting.
The staff were always friendly and we experienced extra touches like a bottle of Prosecco and nibbles in our room on my husband's birthday (not announced by us!) and bowls of fruit another afternoon. They also arranged taxis to and from the airport.
If we went back to Syracuse we would definitely stay there again.

We arrived in rain so bit difficult to find, reception on 2nd floor. Had to go through 2 Security doors plus lift that required your finger on the button all the way up and down, it was faster to take the stairs.

l’Approdo is a comfortable small hotel wonderfully located on the island of Ortigia. The rooms are simple, clean and small, but the hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of all of Ortgia’s shopping and historic sites. The rooftop breakfast deck provides a wonderful view of the canal and harbor, and the breakfast is the equal of others we have had at much more expensive hotels in Italy. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice place to stay, n good location
We stayed here for 4 nights in September. The hotel (Bed and Breakfast only) is conveniently located at one end of Ortygia island, just across the bridge from mainland Syracusa, so it is easy to locate if you are driving there yourself, or it's a short taxi ride from the station. The hotel is situated right on the waterfront. It is comfortable and clean, the staff are very nice and the breakfast is very good! The old town of Ortygia is a beautiful place to explore on foot, with many good restaurants and shops. The nearest car park costs E2 per hour, but there is a car park a few minutes walk away in Syracusa which costs E10 per day.
The weather was still hot while we were there. The room had air conditioning, but the unit might be too noisy for some people to leave it on overnight. We switched it off at night but left the window open, so occasionally there was some noise at night, or from boats going out early in the morning, but this wasn't really a problem.
Overall we were very pleased and enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment in the ultimate location!
We stayed at L'Approdo delle Sirene for two nights and had the best time.
Its a great B&B in an amazing location. We had a small balcony on our room which was great, but the real winner is the roof terrace which is open all the time and adjacent to the breakfast room so that can be taken there too.
All staff were very friendly and professional. If we do head back to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were really accommodating and friendly. They worked around our antisocial flight times. The room was beautiful and had everything you could need. The highlight was the breathtaking views of the port over breakfast. Breakfast was varied and included all the typical pastries and a selection of healthier options. The hotel is ideally located and we were able to walk to most of the main sites from it.

Stayed for two wonderful nights. Location is perfect if with a car, close to the bridge not going into ZTL and <5 min walk from the large public overnight parking lot. Room is very spacious and appear to be recently renovated with nice balance between modern touch and old charm. Shower/bathrooms are very modern and clean. Breakfasts were at balcony with the view of marina, which made it more special. Nice assortment of home-made apple pastry and ricotta cheese. The host speaks English very well and was very helpful guiding us regarding driving and parking. Overall, wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Nice hotel centrally located. If you do reserve make sure you request a sea view room directly from the hotel.. I only asked at time of booking thru expedia and didn't get the message so it was an attic room which was not what we wanted. Unfortunately they were booked solid and couldn't accommodate our request. It would have been perfect then. Parking is within a short walk.

The B&B is on the first floor of a building in Ortigia, facing the port. Our balcony overlooked the port, and we could watch boats coming and going from our room (occasionally a little noisy). It's an easy walk to the bus stop to catch a ride to the Siracusa museum and Greek theater. The room was large and comfortable, and the breakfast, on a sea view terrace, was plentiful and delicious. The staff were friendly and suggested restaurants for dinner.

Nice, historic place that is easy to find and has a great breakfast and breakfast room. Someone at reception until 8 PM, which isn't always the case with guest houses. IThis part of Siracusa was the place to be on a Saturday night, with locals streaming in. How easy to already be staying here, in a a quiet sort of corner.

This hotel has a good location on the quite embankment of the Ortigia Island, and yet a walking distance from the many historical sites and bustling tourist areas of Siracusa. This small and functional B&B hotel is good for someone who needs a comfortable bed and spends most days outside. Nothing fancy just practical.
Be warned about the airport transport; despite having booked and confirmed the price to Catania airport with the hotel (€80) the taxi driver was very unprofessional and tried to extort from us €100, which was an unpleasant end to our stay in this gorgeous town.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel. It's in a great location, easy to get to, helpful staff, and has an amazing view. The parking wasn't really an issue either.

We spent one night in this B&B in Ortigia, Siracusa's historical centre. The B&B is in a historical building, but the rooms seem recently refurbished to a good standard. The staff was very helpful, and the location was convenient (walking distance to the main square of the old town, short driving distance to the archaeological sites and some nice beaches).

We loved staying in Ortigia, which gave us a great base for exploring SE Sicily. We flew to Catania and hired a car. The location of the hotel on the waterfront just beyond the bridge from Siracusa meant that we were able to find a parking space outside the hotel every day (worth a lot in Ortigia!). We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday, enjoying historic sights and architecture, Sicilian food and wine, walking on a volcano, swimming in the Ionian sea. We will definitely return to Sicily.
