I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel owners/front desk were very friendly and super helpful. They’ve offering above and beyond service to their customers. I highly recommended this hotel. Very close walk to Rhinefalls and near by areas. Breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Rhinefalls area.

This is an older property, but it was clean and a short walk to the Rhein falls, our reason for being there. Sam and her husband Sunny were great in helping us get parked and orienting us to the area. They even stored some food overnight for us. King bed was comfortable and breakfast was great..eggs, yogurt, cheese ham, breads, cereals and fruit. For the price I’d highly recommend.

Hotel RheinFall - great, quiet place to stay

Hotel RheinFall was great. I had a large bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed. The Swiss-styled breakfast room was great. The hotel is located on one of the main streets in town, but the town is relatively quiet. My main interest was in the city of Schaffhausen, but it is only a 4 minute (4 franc) train ride away, with multiple trains scheduled per day (almost like an above ground subway).
The hotel staff - in the main office and the breakfast room - were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff, who fixed an initial parking problem and set us up with information for our two nights. The rooms have seen better days, carpets are scuffed, and the bathroom is slightly old fashioned, but the position of this hotel within walking distance of the falls was great. Breakfast is up to normal standard and is a buffet.

The owner was very help and suggested a great Italian restaurant. He was more than accommodating and moved us to a better room . Huge music festival in town on Saturday but sundays room made up for the first room. Comfortable mattress! Great owner

Great Location and Friendly Staff!

This hotel is in a great location for the Rhine Falls (just 10 mins walk) one of the largest waterfalls in Europe and worth a vistit. Staff and owner were great but the hotel could do with a face lift as it's looking a bit tired.

Even the hotel is a non-smoking area but I still can smell it strongly especially at the first floor.
The room is big and brighten up with lights, it can fit 2 people perfectly. However, the heater didn't work and the water from a faucet was hardly flowed.
Only a few minutes drive from the hotel, you will see the Rheinfall.

Overpriced and weird

It was too expensive for what the had to offer, but there are not too many hotels to choose from in the area, unless you want to stay at the hostel, so they take advantage of that. The hotel was okay, reminded me of the dungeon, thanks god they had windows otherwise I would feel too claustrophobic. The bathroom was weird and very tiny, you have to take the sower in the bathtub, it is small and slippery with the round edges, you constantly feel like you gonna slip down and fall. The bed was not bad and the big room was good with the windows, the other little room we requested for the 3rd person was like a little hallway room with no windows. The breakfast was awful, two women who served food didn't speak any English but they were nice. It was very strange choice of food, hard boiled eggs, no scrambled eggs. Bread, butter, apples and banana.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location, because it was close to the waterfalls. We survived there for one night.

Great for the falls, but more information needed

This hotel is very good in most respects, particularly if you are looking to visit the falls, although there are some things that could be improved. The website (at least on the English-language page) does not have enough information about which bus can be taking to the hotel and from where it should be caught. Knowing that a bus runs from Schaffhausen direct to the hotel, including the number and the name of the stop, would make a visitor's life much easier. The rooms are quite dated, but the breakfast range is good and should cater to most tastes. The bathroom was dreadful and needs to be rethought completely. As a single female I also hated the situation with the bar. It would be better to find an alternative entry for that.

Very basic but not much choice in the region

Not the most inspiring place to stay. Very expensive for a very basic room. This seems to be the case in the region, though. The person on reception was very welcoming and informative. The room had what looked like a large cupboard built into it that had been converted into a toilet on one side and a shower on the other. Bizarre - but to be fair, both worked well. The location is okay if you want to be near the Rhine Falls. It takes fifteen minutes to walk to the falls and Bus No. 1 from Schaffhausen train station will drop you off almost directly opposite your hotel in about ten minutes. The buses seem to run often and regularly throughout the week days so it is a reliable service. Neuhausen train station is only about a ten minute walk away. There are two supermarkets close by to get cheap food and supplies. A post office is a few doors down. The hotel is not worth the money I paid for it but as I said earlier, the whole region is a financial rip off when it comes to accommodation.

Hotel Rheinfall

The hotel is a bit dated with a funky layout from previous remodeling efforts, perhaps when it was changed to have private bathrooms? We could get past this, yet we could not accept the bed bugs. Everyone in our family received multiple bites that soured what was otherwise a lovely vacation in a nice part of Switzerland. I am not an expert on bed bugs (we just relocated to Europe from US and we have never experienced this problem in US hotels) however I believe the occurance of bed bugs is directly proportional to the cleanliness of the hotel.

The service was phenomenal, including delivering ice to our room when their machine had run low and relocating us the 2nd night to a nicer family room with seperate bedroom for kids and balcony.

Solve the bed bugs problem and we would consider returning.

Stayed in room 509, which is a large double room (for Europe standards). Nice wood floors, clean, bed was comfortable, sheets/linen seemed new. Bathroom was clean but in desparate need of renovation (it's straight from the 1970s). Breakfast was so-so, nothing special. This is a good hotel for 1, maybe 2, night stay to see Rhinefall. Easy ~5 min walk away.

Comfortable hotel near Rhein Falls

The chief strength is location--a five minute walk to the Rhein Falls, a spectacular sight. Rooms are clean and comfortable, parking behind hotel is free; the breakfast is included and is excellent and ample. Service is prompt, friendly, and helpful. The neighborhood is pedestrian, though there's a good restaurant, the \"Park,\" opposite the Falls, and a high end restaurant in Schloss Worth, also opposite the Falls, or Schloss Laufen, above and a bit behind the Falls. A bus very near the hotel ( number 1), runs into Schaffhausen, whose old town is not to be missed! Good for families--our room had a double bed and a bunk bed; huge bathroom, very clean.

Zauberhaftes kleines Hotel in direkter Nähe vom Rheinfall - zu Fuß ist man in 6 min am oberen Wasserfall … ein Traum!
Der Hotelinhaber ist sympathisch und zuvorkommend, die Hotelcrew ist freundlich, die Zimmer klein aber sauber.
Ein leckeres Frühstück, die geniale Bar neben dem Hotel und der kostenfreie Parkplatz auf der Rückseite des Hotels runden das ganze ab.

Gerne wieder! Der atemberaubende Rheinfall ist zu jeder Jahreszeit eine Reise wert!

Sehr freundlicher Service beim Check-In. Da wir früh raus mussten, wurde uns an Stelle des Frühstücks eine reichhaltige Lunchbox bereitgestellt.
Der sehr nette Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption erkundigte sich mehrmals nach unserem Wohlbefinden. Er schickte uns sogar ein vergessenes Fahrradschloss nach.
Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten bequem. Obwohl das Hotel ausgebucht war, war es sehr ruhig.
Danke für den tollen Service!

Wir haben eine Nacht in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, zuvorkommend und stets hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und angenehm ruhig – perfekt zum Entspannen.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Frühstücksservice große Auswahl, frische Produkte und sogar gkutenfreies Angebot auf Nachfrage. Auch die zentrale Lage war für meine Ausflüge ideal – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten wiri bequem zu Fuß erreichen.

Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen, welchen guten Service und eine herzliche Atmosphäre schätzt.

We loved the location right in the middle but no noise and the fair price that included great breakfast. The stuff was AMAZING. The reception was wonderful and they let us check in earlier, locked storage for the bicycle on the ground floor, checked foe our needs, gave us recommendations for the best spots to see the waterfall and nice places to eat.
