No Shuttle service is available, even though Expedia advertises a 24-hour airport shuttle. A rare find - Convenient and round-the-clock airport shuttle service for easy travel.
We ended up paying £60 each way to the airport, twice, because they could only book a taxi for us.
Breakfast wasn't good too.

I was traveling into Switzerland daily and it was an ease commute during the day but once evening hit was very hard. They stated they had airport shuttle but when I asked they said they didn’t do that and would get me a taxi. They did not do that. But overall nice hotel

First time I stay here and only chose this hotel because of three things: fantastic breakfast, gym and bike hire. The bike hire did not work at all as the hotel stopped it the day I arrived (unlucky) . The breakfast was indeed fantastic, and the gym was not too bad (does not qualify as a gym though, more like a fitness room) .

I didn't like that there was no AC. I also didn't like that it required my phone to enter or the hotel or my room.

They provide a little fan for the room but it gets so hot. If the weather is 23 , I don't recommend this hotel!

Stunning property and only a 20 min bus ride in to bern. Also for me added bonus of free ev charging. The room was ultra modern with everything you needed. Pool looked refreshing and inviting but never had time to use it. Breakfast was fantastic and tasteful.

We had an overnight stay on a Monday. It had three EV chargers. The restaurant was closed but we were told of the options including their sister hotel 10 mins away. We drove their for a meal. It was excellent. The service in both hotels was excellent. We don’t speak German. Their English was excellent. We’d definitely go again and have already recommended it to a friend as a stop over on the way to Italy.

This hotel is a short distance from Basel (~3 km). We chose it because it looked nice in the advert, it's price and it's location.
On arrival it was not clear which building reception was in - no signage.
Our room was ok, clean functional and suitable size. It was not especially comfortable and seating was inadequate. The elevator was cramped and not especially clean.
We did not have breakfast in the hotel but did have diner one evening. The restaurant is higher standard than most hotels and was very good and service friendly. Cost was ~ €140 for 2 people.

The hotel does not offer the \"Basel Card\" which we were expecting given that most other hotels in the area seem to offer this. The \"Basel Card\" provides free transport within the Basel area amongst other things.

Basel transportation systems are very good so getting from the hotel to the city is easy with a bus stop within 100m.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are in modern buildings behind the old hotel. We had a standard room which was generous in terms of size. Nice to have a kettle and cups and saucers. We didn't eat in the up market restaurant so can't comment but the tables on the terrace looked welcoming.

Amazing stylish hotel with very friendly staff

I’m usually a bit lazy to write reviews but this hotel was so amazing! The design and style of the hotel is incredible - definitely had a wow factor for me. We stayed at the suite which was really good value for money. Having a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel is a huge plus too. If you’re coming for Art Basel, I would highly recommend staying here, it’s only 15 minutes away by bus (bus stop next to the hotel).

Clean hotel with unhelpful staff.

I had booked two rooms for my family under one name including one with wheel chair access. On my arrival at the reception, the staff member initially denied there was any booking for a disabled room. After some arguing and producing a print out of my confirmed fully paid booking she agreed to the wheel chair accessible room however offered two rooms in two different buildings. Following more angry discussion we were finally offered 1 disabled access room and 1 standard room on two floors of the same building.
The restaurant for the hotel has one step to the front entrance and 3 steps to the rear hotel entrance. There is a Chinese restaurant and a Greek restaurant nearby but not much to do in the town.
The hotel is generally clean and rooms comfortable.

The hotel was lovely and has great decor. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was lovely too. We stayed here to visit Basel and travelling into the city every day was so easy. It was 15 mins on the bus which ran very frequently and up until about midnight. I'd recommend as a far cheaper option than staying in Basel. We loved it.

Couldn't find fault with this hotel. The rooms were clean and modern and equipped with everything you would expect. The price was reasonable. There was plenty of free parking available. I didn't eat at the restaurant as it was fairly expensive, but the food looked good and it was very popular in the evenings. It was clear from the additional cars in the car park at dinner time that a lot of people go to this hotel just for dinner.

The best part for me was that I was on a business trip in Basel, Switzerland, and this hotel is about a 5-10 minute drive from the border. As anyone who has been to Switzerland knows, the prices there are insane. But as this hotel is on the German side, the prices are much more reasonable. There is a nice little bakery next to the hotel where you can buy breakfast without wanting to cry over the cost, before popping back across the border for the day's work. A few minutes drive in the opposite direction from the border takes you to a couple of supermarkets where you can stock up on cheap supplies.

This hotel was a surprise to me because it was a last minute booking and I thought the service was the best I had received in Germany. Especially the restaurant and the food was very well put together with flavor and style. Almost like a luxury B and B. This hotel does not have much to view in the area but a small town on the other side about 10 minute drive. Free parking and rooms are comfortable. Only issue I had was it was not at night and a fan or AC would have been nice. I know it's cool most of the year with windows open but understand bugs come in from window and that was an issue

Nice hotel near to Basel

We have just visited this hotel, we decided to stay there 8 nights to visit an art fair in Basel and I can say that at the beginiging you can fell a tittle far away to the fair, but it's perfect. You have a bus station 50 meters from the hotel yo the station bus and if you need a taxi it could be a little expensive but easy to find.
If you love design this is your place, the hotel and rooms are beautiful!, and they have also a restaurant with an excelent wine list and with a long gin tonic list. The food is perfect!
Unfortunatelly I had a problem with wi-fi in the room, and at the beginiging it seemed like nobody matters about that. Finally Esther, a nice employee, solve the problem!.
I certainly recommend this Hotel.

A nice hotel 15 minutes from central Basel via bus #36. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from the hotel. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was worth the money. Note to Basel tourists, this is not a hotel located in Basel but Germany so if you want to get a mobility ticket for free public transport you have to book a hotel located in Basel.The room is very spacious. Tea making facilities in room. The restaurant is in the front and the hotel building is behind. The reception is in the restaurant. The room is clean and has a balcony. There is a lift for the hotel. The train station is a 10 mins walk where you can go further into Germany or head into Basel.

Ansich ein schönes Hotel. Hier geht es aber mehr um die Kulinarik vs. dem reisenden Gast. Direkt vor meinem Zimmer wurden während meines Aufenthalts Umbaumassnahmen durchgeführt, was ein ruhiges Arbeiten (u.a. Onlinemeetings) kaum möglich machte. Das Personal kommentierte das nur mir \"Wir waren froh eine Baufirma gefunden zu haben.\" Sorry, aber das geht für mich gar nicht. Wo ist hier die Kundenorientierung? Alternativen wurden nicht angeboten, es war keinesfalls ausgebucht. Oder man kann seine Zimmer eben zu dieser Zeit nicht vermieten oder sollte anderweitig entgegenkommen. Der Balkon hatte den Ausblick zur überdachten Parkingslots. Die Zimmer auf der Website sind schöner dargestellt als zumindest meines war. Insgesamt ein eher enttäuschender Aufenthalt. Wer allerdings Fine Dining sucht ist hier richtig.

Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich, die Anlage ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Das Bett war sehr bequem.
Aber die Dusche, ähm, schwarzer Schmutz oder Schimmel in den Ecken und im Duschkopf selbst. Im Aschenbecher draußen lagen Zigarettenkippen und der Boden sah nicht so aus, als wäre er gewischt oder gekehrt worden. Haare auf dem Boden. Sehr seltsam, denn als ich mir angesehen habe, wie die anderen Zimmer gereinigt wurden, hätte ich das nicht erwartet. Den Boden und die Zigarettenkippen kann ich entschuldigen, vielleicht kam etwas dazwischen und es gab Eile.Aber bitte kümmern Sie sich um den Duschbereich.

Mooie en stijlvol ingerichte kamers, alleen de airco maakt erg veel geluid in de nacht en de kamers zijn erg warm.
We hadden de comfort kamer en deze was lekker ruim maar de badkamer was specifiek aangepast voor mensen met een beperking/rolstoel...lastig met make-up en toiletspullen.
De totaalbeleving van het hotel is erg goed, ook een heerlijk ontbijt!

Das Zimmer passte zu meinen Ansprüchen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, was mir schon bei der Begrüßung aufgefallen war. Das Zimmer hatte keinen Teppichboden, für Allergiker sehr gut. Der Anschluss zwischen Basel (Bhf, Bad Basel und Basel SBB) sind gar kein Problem und hat super gepasst. Fürs allernötigste, wenn Bedarf bestehen würde, sind auch Supermärkte oder ein DM in der Nähe. Zudem habe ich meinen Aufenhalt als ruhig erlebt. Das Bett war auch bequem zum Schlafen.

Godt hotel i kedeligt område

Vi boede 2 voksne og en teenager på værelse 100, som var dejligt stort. Udover et kæmpe rum, var der også en havestue samt en terrasse. Der var desuden et lille køleskab, som dog ikke blev helt koldt, men holdt tingene kølige.
Desværre var WiFi elendigt, og der var ikke forbindelse til de fleste kanaler på tv'et.
Desuden virkede det ene sæt stikkontakter på den ene side af sengen ikke. Aircondition var god, men slukkede af ukendte årsager af og til, også midt om natten.
Der var en lille pool, som var lækker. Den lå mellem to bygninger, så der var ikke så meget sol, men man kunne ligge på liggestole i haven og nyde solen.
I kælderen var der et fint fitnesslokale med godt udstyr og lidt forskellige maskiner, dog ikke et løbebånd.
Morgenmaden var rigtig god, og det var muligt at bestille forskellige æg-retter, fx omelet og røræg. Rigtigt flinkt personale, hvor de fleste talte virkelig godt engelsk.
Rengøringen var i top alle 6 dage, vi var der.
Der var ikke mange interessante spisesteder eller andet i området, så der skal man en tur til Basel eller andre steder i bil. Bus 38 kørte til Basel centrum.

War nicht enttäuscht

War nun das zweite Mal im Eckert. Wie schon letztes Jahr fiel mir die freundliche Bedienung durch alle Angestellten auf. Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und alles ist frisch. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wie immer übernachte ich gerne hier. Sehr nettes Personal, großes, leckeres Frühstücksbuffet.

Sehr hellhörige Zimmer aber gutes Frühstück

Das erste Zimmer war leider nicht ausreichend gereinigt.
Überall Staub und auf der Klobrille waren noch gelbe Überreste vom Vorgänger.

Die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig, was einem vor allem Nachts durch rücksichtslose Gäste den Schlaf raubt.

Insgesagt war der Besuch ok, nur wenn der Schlaf fehlt ist das sehr ärgerlich.

Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut und das Personal sehr freundlich

We stayed here in order to be close to Basel, and could not have chosen better, as the bus stop was just a few metres away. Lovely room and facilities.

Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich, das Frühstücksbuffet toll. Netter kleiner Pool, insgesamt schön angelegt.
Die „Bio“-Klimaanlage war leider nicht zum Kühlen zu bewegen.

Sehr freundlich und mega schick

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht und haben uns über das großzügige Zimmer, trotz Zustellbett fürs Kind, gefreut. Dabei alles tres chic mit Vitra Objekten ausgestattet. Sehr toll. Wahnsinnig nettes Personal im Hotel und im Restaurant! Und feines Essen. Gerne kommen wir mal wieder!
