This was a great place to stay! There is a tram stop and bus stop just outside. Also, the staff was so kind and courteous. The room was large and comfortable. We all really enjoyed our stay.

My late flight was cancelled and I made a last minute booking. Due to the nature of my last minute booking I arrived late and left before the reception team arrived in the morning. The staff member at check in booked me a taxi for the morning. The room was basic but very comfortable.

Arrived late for check in but the receptionist was still there and welcomed me warmly. Room was fine but basic and very warm-only a desk fan to help with this. Good choice for breakfast and polite service day 1, not so much day 2 (different staff). The reception staff were very helpful directing me towards the relevant public transport

Staff was overall great (one guy wasn’t, but the rest were super friendly and helpful).
Appreciate the eco-friendliness, the rooms were tidied up daily.
Beds were ok, the pillows were kind of terrible but we requested additional ones and they got them right away for us.
Didn’t eat at the restaurant but there are two grocery stores across the street. Good location for public transportation.
Biggest downside was how hot the room was. There was a fan in the room and the window opened but it was hot.
Overall a decent hotel, pretty bare bones with no amenities like a gym or pool.

Short stay in Basel. Was visiting Roche and this hotel was nearby. Great location by the Rhine. Free coffee etc throughout thecday was a bonus. And the cakes. Everyone really friendly.

The room was a bit minimalist but perfectly adequate for my needs & the price.
The room was spotless & an extra pillow & lighter blanket was provided upon request as it was quite hot. There's no air-con but the shutters keep the worst of the sun off the room & the window opens. 2 bottles of water (plain & sparkling) were provided every day plus the biscotti/macaroni every evening. I was on the top floor so there was no noise from above.
The staff were excellent - especially reception staff who were very helpful. They gave great instruction on transport, nearby walks & called a great taxi service on check out. There is an extra charge for local taxes - I stayed 3 nights so it was CF12 & they accept cash or card.
They also offer a free Basel card which allows free public transport & discounts for sightseeing tours and some attractions - say yes!
I paid extra for breakfast which was excellent - breads, cheeses, granola, fruits & eggs/pancakes etc on request but all included. A great touch was the range of snacks provided for free in the afternoon/evening - muffins, cake, fruit & unlimited tea/coffee/cold drinks.
The Breite tram stop is literally outside the front door (service number 3) & it's about a 7 minute ride to the centre if Basel. 15 mins to walk if you don't have any mobility issues. There's also a great riverside walk just around the corner & on the other side of the river is Museum Tinguely.
I'd wholly recommend DasHotelBreite for a short stay in Basel

Dasbereitehotel is a very special comcept. Handicapped staff provides an excellent, caring and exemplary service.
The location is perfect and the hotel has a great, safe parking lot.

a good 3 star hotel in basel, booked a single use double room , been given a single room - breakfast choice rather limited-- the complimentary coffee/ cake buffet extremly limited choice - the room very basic. for the price - I expected a lot more for the price!!

Cozy and convenient.

I stayed at DASBREITEHOTEL for a business trip in which I had to meet people every day close to the Tinguely museum. The location was perfect! Just a short and pleasant 15min walk across the Rhine.
The room was very cozy, minimalistic but efficient, with all I needed and very clean.
The staff is very friendly and readily helped me with a power outlet adaptor and suggestions for outside restaurants. The hotel food is quite nice as well.
All around this was a very nice stay!

The hotel is nice but basic. Very conveniently located right in front of number 3 team. It takes 8min to be at central train station in Basel.

The breakfast is very good quality.
The staff extremely helpful and kind. I asked many times for various help and they always responded with a warm smile and eagerness to serve.

I stayed 4 nights and would return as it is a good value and high service.

I was blown away

This hotel was not what I was expecting, but in a really good way. The is a parking garage inside the hotel so you can know your car is safe and sound at night. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was super clean. I have never seen a more spotless hotel room. Then to top it off, the breakfast buffet was fantastic! They had eggs, bacon, yogurts, breads, jellies, juices, cereals, granola, coffee service, packaged breakfast breads, fruit and veggies.

Nice hotel but next to main road

They are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is quite comfortable and the rooms are clean. It is well-situated but it is next to a main road which is the main drawback of the hotel. But it is next to two supermarkets and they provide a very reasonably priced dinner.

A very pleasant stay in this lovely hotel. It was very hot at the time of our stay and there is no AC so window was open however it was very noisy due to close proximity to the motorway. Very handy if travelling by car.

A last minute booking during our journey to Italy by car, this hotel is conveniently located for the motorway.

If you are using the car park, do not waste time tryng to find the entrance! Stop outside and collect a map from reception and you will find the closed door to the garage under the hotel easily without driving around and wasting several minutes

There is free coffee, tea, water, fruit and cakes in reception and sandwiches available to buy if you arrive late, as we did.

The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed very spacious and comfortably firm although the pillows were softer than is our preference (we would have mentioned it if we had been aerating more than one night) The bathroom was also larger than is often the case in city hotels.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it looked like a good variety was available at the breakfast buffet.

We would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in Basel. It is just across the river from Museum Tinguely and short transit ride or 20 minute walk to center of the old town. The rooms are clean and they have a reliable wifi connection. Additionally, they offer coffee and tea in the lobby at all times as well as snacks in the evening.

Frequent traveller, first choice hotel in Basel

I have stayed in Dasbreite Hotel several times. As a frequent traveller to Basel, i have stayed in a number of hotels. However, after trying many, this become my number 1 choice.
It combines a clean and comfortable room with an excellent breakfast, super friendly staff, a nice free coffee/snack area in lobby, fast wifi and generally a warm, welcoming vibe.

As for location, its a few tram stops to centre or a short walk. Bike rentals are a nice touch. would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great hotel with a warm care, an amazin break fast , they left fruit and cakes that you can take for free for the whole day long that was really nice, you get a free transportaion ticket for the intaier stay ,its very close to the center just 2 stops with the tram.

We stopped overnight on our way to Italy and we found it excellent. Very friendly staff, rooms are big and staff friendly. We parked our car in their securely locked garage, which for us was additional peace of mind. It's less than 2 minutes from the river Rhine which makes is a lovely walk.

Better than expected. Great value.

Perfect for the train riders, long walkers, and bicycles. I drove to town and initially, parking was a bear. But the hotel accommodated me with there parking garage. I stayed extra days and the car never left the garage. Public transit was easy and quick. So, even though the hotel is slightly out of main shopping/restaurant district, a short enjoyable walk down the Rhein, or an even quicker train will get you where you're going to.

Very good, but over-priced

The hotel itself is good with spotless rooms but it's over priced: no Wifi in the room (lobby only) or air conditioning (typical in Switzerland, I know) are major black marks. But otherwise it's a good hotel that's only a few minutes from the centre of town; you get a free pass for public transport and the tram stop is right outside.

Probably the best single room I have ever stayed in.Good breakfast and good service. The hotel is on a busy corner which looks like it might be noisy, but my room was absolultely silent. The tram stops right outside, and is a less than 10 minute ride to the town centre, with a tram every 7 minutes. I've already booked another stay.

It's a little away from the very centre of the city, but that's no problem with a tram stop outside, Basel's super-efficient transport - and the free transport pass for all visitors! Really friendly and helpful staff; big, modern rooms and great breakfasts. Close to the Rhine - walking and cycle paths (free bike loan). Good to be in a hotel with a real social purpose too. No hotel restaurant though and no bath; some rail noise with the window open was a minor inconvenience.

Everything was shiny new and spotless clean. Windows are 100% noice proof, so the proximity to the roads was of no importance. Nice view from the room to the river Rhine. Great breakfast with lots of choises and helpful staff around. Free internet, free wifi and free tickets to public transport.
Tram just outside the door takes you to the city center in a six stops, or you may choose to walk there along the river in about 15 minutes.
Would definately stay there again.

Wir sind mit dem Fahrrad angereist und freuten uns daher über die sichere Unterstellmöglichkeit in der Tiefgarage. Das Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und auch ohne Klimaanlage im Hochsommer noch angenehm. Sehr nett: es gab selbstgebackene Kekse und Wasser in Glasflaschen.
Auch das Bad war schön groß und mit Badewanne ausgestattet. Straßenbahnhaltestelle (Fahrkarten im Hotelpreis inbegriffen) ist direkt vor dem Hotel und es gibt einen Supermarkt auf der anderen Straßenseite. Das Queensize-Bett ist recht schmal, beim nächsten Mal würden wir wohl den Twin-Room nehmen.
Uns hat auch das Nachhaltigkeits- und Inklusionskonzept des Hotels sehr gut gefallen, daher 5 Sterne.

Basel'in tarihi merkezine nehir kenarından yürüyerek ya da Basel'de konaklayanlara ulaşım ücretsiz olduğu için otelin önünden tramvaya binerek kısa sürede ulaşabilirsiniz. Otel gayet temiz ve personel yardımsever. Oda 4 kişilik bir ailenin bir gece konaklaması için yeterli. Lobideki kek, meyve ve kahve ikramları çok hoş. Memnun kaldığımız bir konaklama oldu.

Hotel molo carino, camera per 2 adulti 1 bimbo molto spaziosa, disponibilità di prodotti da bagno per bambini, il tram n.3 comodissimo per raggiungere il centro, la stazione e l'aeroporto (con cambio) ferma proprio davanti all'hotel, di fronte ci sono coop e migros per ogni evenienza, l'hotel offre gratuitamente la sera bevande, frutta e dolci che sono sul buffet, il personale è gentilissimo e disponibile, la mattina le bevande sono gratuite anche se non si ha la colazione compresa, offre inoltre in uso gratuito biciclette, al piano terra è disponibili un piccolo spazio con giochi per bambini. OTTIMO HOTEL consigliatissimo, ci siamo trovati davvero bene

Das Hotel befindet sich praktisch neben der Autobahn, was wir sehr gut fanden. Man hört überhaupt nichts von der Autobahn. Das Frühstück war super. Spiegeleier nach Wahl und auch der Rest war ausreichend.
Das einzige Was störend war, war das Personal, dass am Morgen, um ca. 07.00 Uhr im Gang untereinander erzählen mussten was am Vorabend geschehen war. Wir haben alles gehört. Ich denke man darf ein wenig Rücksicht nehmen auf die Hotelgäste. Das Personal hat , wie wir gesehen haben ein Aufenthaltsraum! Aber mit offener Türe, nützt alles nichts. Trotzt allem waren im grossen und ganzen sehr zufrieden

Tolles Hotel mit vielen extra Leistungen.

Großzügige Zimmern, Tolles Bad mit Badewanne. Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Besonders Lobenswert für Schweizer Verhältnissen, waren die kostenlosen Angebote an Snacks und Getränken sowie das Öffi Ticket und Fahrrädern. Das Bett wäre jedoch für 2 Personen zu klein. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank wäre optimal.

Inklusives Hotel in toller Stadtlage

Super Lage, inklusive Ticket für ÖV, konnte man Basel gut erkunde.
Ansonsten waren Service, Essen und Unterkunft einwandfrei.
