The staffs were friendly and helpful. Katarina even helped me check in earlier than the usual time which I appreciated a lot. The location is good and has an easy walking access to trams. The space of the room and amenities are quite useful especially if you fancy cooking to save on your trip. I’d come back next time.

Great location, very comfy room, lovely shower, bed, space, kitchenette. Considering how expensive out and about in Basel is, the studio was a heaven of luxury to rest and enjoy. A deciding factor in choosing the hotel was the inclusive Basel card. Worth it. The staff are friendly and the lobby is inviting to seat and read for a bit. As a solo traveller everything felt welcoming

Kitchen is excellent - so nice to have a kettle for tea and a big refrigerator that actually works well!! Much appreciated.
Could you please consider having one more chair in the room and take away the rickety little café-chair? There is a good desk and good table, but nowhere to sit and work for longer than a few minutes and nowhere to sit and relax for a while. You used to have soft chairs and and a chair for working on my laptop. Please bring those back.

The hotel was well located, easy to walk to the main attractions, but also easy to access with a car. The free parking was appreciated. They lent us an adapter, which is a good little bonus. The room was clean, the kitchen useful with even a dish washer. The mattress was too hard for our liking.

Simple and functional - exactly what we needed. When you travel to see new places, you need to stay and to keep your things somewhere, preferrably within minutes to walk to grocery (a very good large supermarket in this case) and transportation, to landmarks and places like Old Town - and we got all of it in the package. Responsive and attentive staff, although we didn't need much from them - yet they were there when we did. Perfect place to stay when you plan mostly to be outside vs \"to live\" in the hotel, as your goal is to get impressions from the wonderful place you are visiting. Highly recommended. Oh, and did I mention free ticket to all trams and buses for your entire stay? Not sure it was a hotel policy vs city, but do I care :-)?

Easy to reach public transportation. The Basel card was included with the room making all public transportation free. Not much for restaurants around the hotel. Bed was very firm. No A/C in the room and the window only opened a small amount. Not good in the summer. Was OK while we stayed but the weather was cool.

The staff were lovely and our rooms were nice and comfortable. Location was convenient for salami g and transportation. Trams were compliments of the hotel, when we arrived they gave us a pass good for free transport. I would recommend this hotel.

Great flexibility for eating in or eating out, good location on quieter street but easy to walk to everything, transport links, grocery stores close by to stock up the fridge, nice walls by the river. Linen and towels clean and fresh. Kitchen reasonably stocked. Found kettle in cupboard which is essential for us brits. Only downside is we couldn't adjust the air con below 22 degrees which was a little too warm at night but not the end of the world. Would definitely stay again if we go back to Basel.

Cockroaches in the room

The location was great, the windows of the room was not adequate. Only one of 3 windows could be open and when you open thw window /thwre was no acxess to walk from the bed. The AC was none existance and on 49F temp evening the room was 73F inside! They switch us to another room at 11pm, but temp was probably 70f blowing hot air . Their Wify was Very Slow!

The location was great and the apartahotel was very comfortable. It is a 3.8 to 4 starts.
They mentioned they do cleaning of each apartment once a week. It would be nice to have the option to have more recent cleanings upon request and at an extra cost.

We had a very pleasant stay in Basel at the Adagio Apartments. We had problems using the safe in the room that were not resolved until our final evening and the apartment wasn’t cleaned in the 4 nights were staying, but presumably if we had asked, the room would have been cleaned, so this was not a major issue.

Worth the higher price

One of the best accommodation we had during our EU trip.
It's has higher price compared to other hotel but it is practically an apartment with fully functional kitchen which can be great to cut cost on dining.

This hotel served its purpose. We need it one night before continuing on our River Cruise.. It had transportation by tram just up the street. Buildings an area around the hotel seemed rough. I would not stay there for an extended period.

Great hotel close to the centre of Basel, and reasonably priced for when we stayed. Found the kitchen area really useful for making breakfast at home. Hotel staff were helpful and gave is a room upgrade for the first night

A welcoming vibe

Image our surprise when we arrived about an hour before the official check-in time and we were told we could check in by a very friendly clerk.
The room was huge and very comfortable.
I loved their dining room and lounge. Coffee or tea was always available and so was using their lounge.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Once we got the hang of the tram line, we realised how near the old town we were and hence very centrally located. Changing trams to go to the station was also easy and hassle free. Its location is really splendid once comprehended.
In their dining room one reads the following on the wall:

Summer time in Basel :-)

Adagio City is a great choice for a family visit of Basel. The location is perfect, easy to find/accede, with the tramways and a Coop supermarket 250 meters away. The apartment was comfy, clean, quiet and with enough space for 4 persons. Adagio's staff was present and helpful. There's also a fast Wifi, a piano in the lobby and a good laundry in the basement. An excellent stay!

Decent Hotel

Pros: The parking garage is on-site and the spaces are a good size. They fit an American sized SUV. The rooms have a kitchen, private bathroom (toilet in a separate area which was nice), and TV with English channels. It is close to many restaurants, Lidl, Aldi, and an easy walk to the river. The staff seemed nice. There is free tea bags in the reception area that you can take upstairs to make tea with. When you check in you get a basel card that gives you half off some stuff (zoo, museums, etc) and free public transportation.

Cons: Even though the says it sleeps 3 (2 adults and 1 kid), they really mean only 1 kid 2 or under. If you have a child over 2, even if they sleep in the bed with you they will charge you at least an extra 50 a night. I had messaged the hotel prior to make sure it was okay but never heard back. They advertise a coffee maker and an expresso machine. No coffee maker and even though the room photos show the expresso machine WITH pods, you actually have to bring your own or purchase them from the front desk. The AC didn't really work so we had the windows open and it is very noisy!! There seems to be a lot of traffic and there is construction going on nearby (they started working this morning at 7am)

Mixed: The bed was very hard at first, but it seemed to quickly mold to you. It felt a lot softer the 2nd night so give it a chance! We had trouble figuring out how to get some of the appliances to work, but after awhile we found the hidden instruction books

iny with all you need

The staff is very gentle.
The room small and good for short stay because you have to fold the bed to take out the table to eat.ñ, at the same time, it has all we needed.
There is a nice back garden also.

Nice place to stay. I found my bed really uncomfortable. My colleague had the same issue with his bed. I rotated mine 180° to get a better nights sleep the second night.

The bonus with this place is the parking. Sometimes really difficult to get in Basel.

The staff were good. The breakfast was ok. Cost wasn't too bad either but this is during the pandemic so the demand isn't where it would normally be.

Great value and spacious apartment. Excellent location, only a minute walk from the tram which takes you to the old town within 5 mins.
Friendly staff and a brilliant array of items available in reception, which you can freely take to your room such as kettles, toasters, coffee machines etc
Despite staying during a heatwave, the room never felt too warm.

Pleasant stay

This is a well positioned hotel, easy to access via the tram system. Our room was ready on arrival, and we were greeted at reception by a lovely staff member, who clearly explained everything.
Our only complaint would be that the booking site (hotels.com) indicated that there was a washing machine/dryer in the room, but this is incorrect, there are pay per use laundry facilities in the basement.
