The room was clean and spacious and the air condition worked very well. The staff was always so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was nice- you get to pick 3 things off the breakfast menu
( including your juice- that was a bit confusing at first) Gara (sorry if spelling is wrong) he was always so friendly during breakfast as well as the whole staff. They even brought out a sweet bday plate for me and the whole staff sang happy bday. Thank youuuu
Location is great, close yet far from chaos. Lots walking distance. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful stay here and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they genuinely made us feel so welcome throughout our stay.

The rooms were spotless and beautifully clean every day, and the whole property is very well maintained. The pool area was absolutely beautiful – crystal clear, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. One of the things we loved most was how quiet and calm everything felt, making it such a relaxing place to unwind.

Breakfast each morning was perfect with delicious options and great service. The location was also fantastic – only about a 10-minute walk to the beach and close to so many great cafes and restaurants, so everything you need is right nearby. It was also an easy 45-minute drive from the airport which made getting there very simple.

We spent our days relaxing by the pool and our evenings walking down to the beach for sunset drinks, which was such a highlight of the trip.

One thing that really stood out was the kindness of the staff. On our final night my friend wasn’t feeling well, and they were so thoughtful and caring, bringing us ginger tea and checking in on her. It was such a small gesture but meant so much.

Overall we had such a positive experience here. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Bali, and we would absolutely stay here again one day. Highly recommend!

Washroom sink was blocked with dirty water. I had booked the room for three people but they told us to adjust in a two people room. And during check out time they told us they were missing of one hand towel and told us to pay 50000. After sometime they told us to pay 30000 instead of 50000. We were in a rush to reach the airport. We paid 30000 to leave the hotel. Very disappointed with the service.

The staff were hospitable as always in Bali - HOWEVER, our stay at Tapa Tepi Kali was unfortunately a battle, hence the overall one star. We booked the Deluxe Pool Access room - the room itself was freshly renovated, a big room with a big bed and strong air-conditioning. The bathroom was a massive disappointment. I blame Expedia here, as the photos were minimal, clearly angled at the shower door only. The bathroom was not renovated, with what appeared to be an old outdoor glass door that swung inwards giving even less space. Only one person can fit in there at a time, also not to mention it was filthy. There was rust in ever corner, dust and dirt - the floor was also hideously dirty. We brought this to the attention of staff, who stated they would give a deep clean. Not much changed, in addition to the fact it was still far too small. We again informed the staff as well as Expedia of our dissatisfaction, who were both extremely unhelpful. The staff said we could upgrade to the Villa - at a cost - more than it was through Expedia, and even though this room was available throughout our stay. Being a Gold Member and this property being VIP Access, I was expecting far better service. This left a bitter taste in our mouth, and we checked out 5 days early. Expedia did not help to adjust our stay or even give us alternate options or partial refund. I have used Expedia consistently and exclusively for years and unfortunately will now be changing travel platforms.

For the rating of this property, the rooms were average and the mattress was poor, which led to poor nights sleep, resulting in leaving early. Staff were very accommodating, however upon switching rooms for a better bed, the same style mattress was present. Disappointed in the quality of basic elements of the rooms ie the beds.

My late arrival was accommodated and I spent two nights in a luxurious, clean and comfortable private villa. The pool is lovely, complimentary breakfast was delicious and staff were kind and friendly. The location is perfect, under 10 min walk to a lot of great food, spa and shopping options.

Lovely small hotel, but big spacious rooms with great aircon, which was needed as it was very hot and humid, nice large balcony.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Clean.
Good location on the edge of the hustle and bustle, walking distant to the beach, restaurants, shops, la brisa market, massage ect.
Food was good but not a huge variety but as expected for a smaller hotel.
Great overall stay to get us used to Bali at the beginning of our trip.

Unfortunately the info booklet in the rooms claim that yoga is available in the “gallery” room upstairs, however reception informed us when we rang to confirm the times of yoga classes - that yoga is not available at Tapa Tepi anymore which was a little disappointing. Moreover, the info booklet informs you of the free premium TV channels Included in your stay ( eg HBO, nickelodeon etc) however these channels are actually not available. We phoned reception regarding this and they said only “certain” rooms have access these channels. Our TV screen was also partially broken. Apart from this, our hotel stay was lovely. Big thanks to the staff at Tapa Tepi.

This stay was great, the staff were so accommodating and friendly, always asking if we needed anything and if our room was good/if we had any issues with it. The location is really good, tucked away from the rd so it seems quieter but so close to many awesome shops and restaurants, an ATM, a convenience store and the beach! Our room was cleaned every morning, our room had great air conditioning and the breakfast was delicious.
They had a lovely lady there who did massages/facials, she was very good!
They also offer multiple transport through the hotel with scooter hiring, car transport which is a handy way of getting around.
All up had everything we needed!

Originally booked a room for a week to attend a wedding, unfortunately I had an accident that required surgery. The whole team at Tapa Tepi Kali went above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as possible, took the time to come and check on me and without a thought extended my stay and moved me to another room with easier access on crutches. If all of this wasn’t enough they helped me organise a surprise for my mum on Mother’s Day and even gave me a bouquet of flowers wishing me a speedy recovery. I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff have been so empathetic and willing to help in time of need. 10/10 customer service for sure, will definitely stay again!

room was spacious but felt old, in a need of refurnishing. mattress was okay, bed sheets as well as bath and pool towels came with big yellow stains. Bathroom felt a bit dirty, as there was mold on the tiles and the shower gel dispenser was covered by salts.
Breakfast was basic but okay. Location was quite good, 10mins walking from echo beach, 5 mins from some nice cafes and restaurants.
Overall the property needs renovation, felt like low value for money.

Ten minutes walk to beach a little tricky as no footpaths. No big deal as we are in our 60s and if this is a problem perhaps closer to the beach or maybe a cruise 😀
If you surf and don’t want to ride a bike I would suggest closer to the beach
We really loved Batu balong beach as there was so much going on more so than echo beach
We found best restaurants and bars coffee shops massage there
Walk to the top of the hill and turn left instead of straight ahead to echo beach

I would happily stay here again. It's less than a 10 minute walk from Ecco Beach and there are many shops and cafes on the way. Hot breakfast is cooked to order and comes with choices of fruit, juices and breads - all generous serves. Pool is great, very clean and clear water. It's on the smaller side but there's only 18 rooms so we found that only a handful of guests were using the pool so this didn't matter. I stayed in a pool access room which has the biggest bed ever. Rooms were clear and staff were accommodating. Only recommendation is that staff come to pool area to take drink and food orders.

This is the most perfect place to stay! It’s close to everything you need (shops, cafes, restaurants + beach!) but still set back from the busy streets of Canggu.

The hotel staff were lovely, accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. I was welcomes woth a smile on every encounter with their staff and was very sad to leave.

The hotel has beautiful facilities- the pools were sparkling clean. The food was incredible and I am already missing that daily delicious Nasi Goreng. I hired a Scooter for each day I was there (which was super cheap and organised by the hotel!) and just used that to get around Canggu. The day spa was also another highlight and possibly one of the best massages I’ve ever had.

I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Great hotel. Kind and helpful staff. Hotel in a great location, would recommend hiring a scooter from the hotel as the places we wanted to visit were a short ride away. The hotel is new so the room decor was really nice, and I loved that it was a small hotel, nice and quiet. The breakfast was great, only a few options but it was enough! The only thing we noticed was the towels and bed linen had small stains on it, and we asked for it to be changed and they happily helped us, although the next lot also had small stains.. I guess this can happen easily with white towels and linen, might need stronger washing detergent. Overall we really enjoyed our stay - will definitely be back again!!

New hotel, 10 min walk or 3 min scooter ride from the beach. Our room was always clean, no bugs, mold or anything like that. The breakfast was delicious, although the variety could be improved. Staff is super nice, polite and helpful to arrange driver or day trips. Not a five-star hotel experience, but definitely best value for money, highly recommend!

Overall a Great choice for Canguu area

The staff here were very cordial and kind, always helpful and smiling. They had no problem for us to use Grab or GoJek even though it is not advised in this area due to issues with local transportation. We rented scooters from them with no problem. Very clean and very nice property. Would stay again!

Great hotel near Echo Beach.

Fantastic hotel choice for us. From check in till check out, everything was great. Food serving for room service and breakfast was more than enough for us. They even have motorbikes for rental so we don’t have to go out of the hotel to look for transport. Easily a 5 minutes ride away from the most beautiful beach we been to while in Bali. Staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely recommending this hotel to anyone who’s looking for value for money hotel in Canggu!
