The staff is really helpful. The rooms, though really small, are clean but i didn t like the fact that the bathroom is open to the outside. Anytime you use it, you get bitten by mosquitoes, and swear profusely.

Place looks nothing like pictures. It's small as a jail cell, no fridge or safe, bathroom is outside in the heat, toilet right next to shower, construction sites all around. Staff refused any refunds even though we checked out 5 minutes later and went to a proper hotel. Do not stay here!

Great people

The people were extremely nice. The food for breakfast is incredible. The outside shower was well done and the room was cozy. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. It is close to surfing and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Simple but decent

Bit overpriced for simple accommodation in reasonable condition. Fairly clean but towels could have done with being bleached as they were stained. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is decent with good options. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Well cared place and good staff. Rooms are cleaned daily. They have motorcycles to rent in house as well as water and beer can be purchased from the front desk. The A/C wasn't as cold as I like but it wasn't warm. Plus they have a fan in the room. Only severe downside is the internet which is slow and at times unusable. All in all pretty good for the price. Definitely recommend staying here.

It was not clear that a standard room had concrete floors and an outside bathroom - no wardrobe, only mirror in the outside bathroom - had it been we would only have booked a superior room

Nice breakfast and location

It is a lovely setting in a nice spot, but unfortunately I never had hot water in room 109 and the wi-fi is terrible - rarely works. I advised the staff at reception but they didn't seem too interested. The breakfast was excellent.

Convenient, accessible to lots of areas around canggu. Walkable distance. 5mins walk to the beach. Lots of food to indulge too! Good place to surf too, loving Oldman’s surf spot!

Really nice staff and location

The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is really good and they offered me more coffee, which always makes me happy. The hotel is a short walk to echo beach and to the center of town. They have bikes and scooters for rent for a good price. The beds are a little hard for me, but I’ve found that isn’t common in most places in Bali. I think it’s a good hotel for the price.

Great place close to everything

This place was great. There was a nice small pool that was so good during the hot afternoons. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but a little dark. Breakfast is on the roof and we met some great people as everyone sits together and eats and chats. It's so close to Echo Beach and Batu Balong Beach, and so many great restaurants and shops. You can rent a scooter for 50K rupiah ($5) for the day. I would stay here again.

Echoland is a quiet place to stay, about a 10 min walk from the main strip or a 5 minute walk to echo beach. The bathroom of our room was outdoors which wasn't that great. The rooms are fairly small and dark but clean and decently modern. Breakfast is a set menu. Service is great, so friendly and helpful.

I only stayed for one night, but the staff was amazing and everything with the room was up to expectation. I will be back again the next time i'm in Canggu. My only complaint is that it was hard to find as the address shows the incorrect location on Google Maps.

Wonderful staff & Excellent brekkie!

We normally stay 4 or 5 star but finances prevented that this year. We booked into Echoland last Oct as it had excellent reviews. Closer to staying I read some more recent reviews that said:- beds are hard, pool is cold.....well yes the beds aren't soft & squishy but we slept just fine (sheets are changed every 2 days too!!) & the pool was refreshing!! Rooms are small but you just sleep there & are out & about mostly. The staff are all friendly & fantastic. Breakfast to order is delicious & healthy. My favourite was fresh fruit with yoghurt & honey & Eggs Florentine but they were all great. Over breakfast you get to meet many people, young & old from literally all around the world. It's a very short walk to Echo beach & the area abounds with heaps of great restaurants. A highlight for us was a resident beautiful cat called Ibu (means mum in Indonesian) with 2 baby kittens Squirt the boy with big ears & little spots on his head & Milly a precious girl with black ears & a little black moustache. When you stay there if you're a cat lover too could you please consider buying some cat food to leave for the local kitties?! Thanks! & Thanks to the wonderful staff of Echoland!

'No frills' but surprisingly pleasant.

Much better than I would have expected from a hotel that would not normally rate even 3 stars.
It had a convenient location, its facilities were basic but good, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fine. Some little touches I appreciated were the library and the roof-top yoga

Wonderfully friendly experience close to the beach

Echoland bed and breakfast is now cemented as one of our favourite places to stay! The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from check in until the end. The room was comfortable and modern, even inclusive of an Australian/New Zealand power outlet. We loved the bathroom with fresh towels and water brought daily! The free breakfast paid for itself with exceptional options and more than enough! We could not have been happier with every aspect of our stay at echoland bed and breakfast!!

There was a centipede in the bed, geckos in our outdoor bathroom, hair in the outdoor drain and the bed was as hard as a board....it was nice being close to the beach, nalu bowls and scooter hire though! thanks for your kindness

Fantastic location. Short walk from beaches. Quiet

Location perfect as its a short walk from beach and quiet, away from noise of street and other hostels. My rooms and apparently all rooms are dark. Floors are concrete and outdoor private bathrooms are a bit awkward. Room smelt slightly damp when ac not been on and concrete floor gives a dirty 'feel'. All staff were happy and very charming and breakfast is excellent, in a casual setting on the roof. Did not use pool but looked fine, though small for more than two at a time. Very strongly recommended for beach bums / surfers. Not so much for couples, but still ok.

A pleasant experience

After a couple of days in the craziness of Kuta-Legian, I was happy to get over to Canggu, which I had not visited before. The B&B was down a short alley, so quite private, & a bit further from the beach than I anticipated, but still an easy 10 min walk past other villas, small hotels, shops & even some small farms with resident cattle. These may not last much longer the way the area is developing unfortunately. My room was not large, but quite adequate, with a semi-\"outside\" shower-room/toilet.The poor TV reception was the worst thing about the room, but as I was on a surfing holiday, TV was the least of my expectations. The shower-head was made from bamboo, for effect more than function, but it was adequate to get the salt off me after a surf. The staff were typically super-friendly, with no language problems. Breakfast (included) on the roof-top gazebo & lounging area was the best I had from my 3 hotel stay, & the cooks/waiters very efficient & agreeable. A small swimming pool was enjoyable, although it seems to be in shade most of the day. Bicycles can be hired for 30,000 RP a day, & motor scooters for 50,ooo.

Echoland Bed and Breakfast is an unpretentious bed and breakfast that is conveniently located in walking distance to the famous Echo beach. It is not really designed for families as rooms are quite small, but it is a fantastic place for those wishing to surf Canggu without being hassled and explore bali without crowds. Situated nearby are local cafe's and restaurants overlooking the water which are well priced and there is a scooter hire that is reasonably priced (and offers well looked after motorbikes with registration!). Echoland staff were professional, friendly, the rooms were spotless and the free transfers were appreciated. Both my boyfriend and I have fond memories of Canggu and would definitely stay at Echoland again.

Mega klamt hotel. Poolen var møg beskidt, man kunne knap nok se bunden.

Indtjekning gik nemt og personalet var venlige, men selve værelset var knap så godt. Der var skimmelsvamp og brune plamager i bruseren, møg beskidt toilet og håndvask. Derudover var vi også usikre på om sengetøjet var blevet skiftet fra de forrige gæster, da der lå både pletter og hår i sengen da vi ankom.

Ydermere var de andre gæster larmende når de kom hjem sent om natten og borearbejde begyndte på hotellet klokken lidt i 8 om morgnen

Hébergement très bien situé et personnel très serviable. En revanche, la chambre ne correspondait pas à celle qu’on avait sélectionné, nous avons eu des draps tachés et 1 prise sur 2 ne fonctionnait pas… Piscine de l’hôtel inutilisable car très sale (jaune avec une pellicule sur le dessus).
