Staff were very friendly and the room was cosy and had plenty of amenities. Hotel is in a good location, close to the main shopping districts and the park. Our only complaint would be that the TV was only Japanese live channels, not a smart TV, so the ability to log into Netflix or likewise would have been nice, otherwise there's nothing in English for tourists. Regardless, we would stay again.

Great accommodation, and I would definitely book here at my next stay in Kyoto. Very close to popular areas such as Nishiki market, Kyoto Imperial Palace, and downtown shopping. Gion was also walkable. The hotel is beautiful, and the public bath was spacious and clean, with toiletries provided. The room was a good size, but difficult for anyone with large luggage. Removing clothes from luggage and putting it in the available closet was best for space. They offered luggage forwarding, which was very convenient.

Great hotel. Coffee and tea set up in the room is amazing! Comfy bed and pillows. For some maybe little bit on the firmer side for the mattress but for me it was perfect. Very convenient location, 10 minutes from all to so many amazing places. Pretty spacious bathroom. The only thing as per most Japanese hotels, if you have large suitcases it will be very tight to put it to open. But since we only had car try in it was perfect. Definitely will come back

The hotel facilities are exquisite - a really modern blend of some of the traditional japanese style design but done in a functional way that doesnt compromise comfort. They had Geisha preformances in the lobby and the resturant was also wonderful. This is one of the few experiences where the hotel actually offers more than they advertise rather than less.

My only gripe was that the room was incredibly dusty. The appliances jn the room werent able to keep up and you couldnt open the rooms window which wouldve made a big difference. After being cleaned there would be a layer of dust everywhere presumably coming in from the rooms ventilation system. As such my partner and i felt congested the whole time.

Loved my stay at Hotel Resolution Trinity in Kyoto! The hotel had the amenities of a high-end hotel without the price. They have an onsen which was very relaxing after a long day of walking, a bar/cafe downstairs, and offered Meiko shows everyday except Sundays. The staff was very nice and I was able to leave my luggage before check-in. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk to the closest train station. There is both a 7-11 and FamilyMart close to the hotel, which was convenient for quick breakfast/snacks. The room was very comfortable and even had tatami flooring, giving a traditional experience. Absolutely recommend this hotel to future travelers!

Room was not large enough for the wide double bed. Left very little space to walk around. There are no common amenities in the room. They are kept in one place on first floor in the hallway! They advertise the restaurant but it does not serve breakfast items a la carte, not even coffee. We were forced to go out in wintry weather to get coffee and baked goods. If you check out even an hour later than 11 am, they will charge extra. Traditional Japanese style means stuff is lower to the ground, including the bed and the sink which can hurt your back. Otherwise, it is a nice little place, clean and quiet. I won't recommend it.

This was such a cute little quaint hotel! The breakfast is the only thing I don’t think is worth it, especially considering it’s so close to many restaurants that you can just walk 10-12 minutes to the Nishiki market or the Terramachi market.

We had a decent sized twin room that was very comfortable, but a bit on the “smallish” size since we were traveling with 2 big suitcases. The hotel is in good location, with easy access to public transportation, shopping, dining and some top sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in 2 hours early, which was a nice gesture. A major plus is that they had coin operated laundry rooms on 2 floors. Another plus was that in the evenings, 6 days a week, they had a Maiko perform a couple of dances in the hotel lobby plus allowed guests the opportunity to take photos with her. They also have live music available on Friday evenings. This is definitely a hotel I would return to on a future visit to Kyoto.

It was amazing!!! In a convenient area and the hotel staff were so sweet. My only complaint is breakfast not being included in the stay because I had to pay each day for breakfast. Nonetheless it was an amazing hotel and I would stay here again.

We had a nice stay in this hotel. The location was good, and we enjoyed the dance performance. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced.

However, on the day of checkout, I couldn’t find one of the room keys. One receptionist said I must pay a penalty, but later another receptionist checked me out without asking for any fee. As I was leaving, the first receptionist followed me to the exit and insisted that I go back to pay the penalty. I found this behaviour unnecessarily strict and unpleasant, especially since the other room guests were not charged.

The hotel also doesn’t have its own parking, and nearby parking was very expensive. The price list they gave us for parking wasn’t correct.

The massage service was done in our room rather than on a proper massage bed, which was uncomfortable. The laundry room also wasn’t great — it closes at midnight, so if your clothes are still inside, you can’t collect them until morning, and the dryer didn’t work efficiently, leaving clothes damp.

Overall, the stay was fine, but several service issues made it less enjoyable.

The room was a bit small, but normal for Japanese rooms. The bed was comfortable and the hotel had lots of toiletries to take if you needed them! It was also convenient to have laundry in the building as we had already been in Japan for a week and needed to do some laundry. Great location within walking distance to major shopping and Nishiki market.

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff were all extremely helpful, and while I know I am in a foreign country, they all spoke English which was so helpful. They helped me organize and ship my bags for the rest of my travels in Japan, and they had answers to all of my questions. I used the bath house every night I was there, and that was a fun experience. My room was clean, and the bathroom was great. My only negative remark is that the windows are frosted glass, which seems to be common here in Japan. It sort of makes you feel less connected with the world when you are in your room, but since I am traveling, I am not in the room most of the time anyways. They had great food recommendations and they can even help you schedule reservations! Great stay!

This hotel is close to the shopping areas, within walking distance. Supermarket and 7 Eleven are also close by. Subways are near by and accessible. The hotel is pin drop quiet so great for sleeping after an exhausting sightseeing day.
The staff is very accommodating and extremely helpful. The geisha shows are really a nice touch for the guests

We recommend staying here. We stayed at the twin bed room. The room was okay sized, a little tight with our luggages and belongings. But other than that, everything else was great. Restroom was clean and spacious. What really elevates this hotel is definitely the amenities accessible to guests only. The onsen (spa) was amazing to enjoy after long days of traveling and basking in the summer heat of Japan. We were also given free matcha, free water bottles, and a fresh set of towels daily. The lobby, cafe, washing machines, vending machines, etc also came in clutch. They also offered free rain umbrellas and sun umbrellas to use.
The average distance from the nearest train station is about a 10- 15 minute walk. Not too bad to walk with luggage as well. The surrounding area was very nice and good walking distance from the main streets. It’s also great that they offer to ability to drop off your luggage before check-in occurs. Checkout was very simple.

The room is quite small, it's hard to open the luggage, it's smaller than average room size in Kyoto. The public bath is very small as well. If you drive a car, don't book this hotel, as the parking nearby is super expensive. We pay 4700 yen every night.

Super comfortable and clean experience with the Trinity location. Everything worth checking out was very walkable save a few of the larger temples. The in-house restaurant and bar was perfect for what we needed, and the staff was very kind and knowledgeable. This place made us never want to leave kyoto!

We had a lovely stay at this Japanese boutique style hotel.

The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to food and shopping markets, restaurants, bars and tourist areas, and has a metro subway close by.

On most evenings the hotel hosts events such as sake tasting and a Meiko performance, which were really enjoyable. The onsen / spa was also a highlight.
