Fantastic stay at the lotus beach hotel. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was delicious! Snorkeling right is the beach coast was a nice bonus. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants!!

We stayed in one of the rooms with a plunge pool. It was fantastic! We had a great view of the beach and ocean. The bed was comfy and the room was well situated. The hotel is located right on Playa Norte across from another resort. The ocean is so blue and beautiful and there were a lot of fish that would swim near you. The staff was very professional and friendly, especially Alexander. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here 1 year ago and it was great & staff was amazing. Once we arrived for this stay we were notified they had a new owners. All different staff. Breakfast was served next door at Oceans in a closed off room for lotus guests only. Took over an hour for breakfast that wasn’t good. We never went back. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast outside at the lotus. Rooms were not that clean this stay. Bagged Trash stayed outside our room for a couple days. Last year it was busy. This trip was not that many people using the beach club. We definitely noticed a change from last year. We have barest decided to try another place our next trip. The best part is the view and its location,

Gross! Bugs and dirty toilet paper!

DO NOT STAY HERE if you’re looking for any kind of decent treatment and room. Bugs in the room, you’ll be told to throw your used toilet paper in the trash can, no decent internet and no TV option through hotel. It’s in a sketchy area at the far, cheap end of the island and security is lax. Our “ocean view” room was a joke barely could see the water. Just an old bridge and trees right in front. 😕
Everything closes at the hotel at 6pm and the included breakfast is a block away at another hotel. The plunge pool on the patio is a like warm bathroom filled with old water and leaves/dirt. They advertise shuttle service from the airport. Also false. You’ll pay and arrange it and the ferry yourself. Adults only? They served small kids food and drinks on the beach from the hotel. The beach area is totally public and includes 5 hard chairs. We reserved for 5 days and left after 2 to go to a REAL hotel that doesn’t falsely advertise and is clean.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this resort, not only is it on the most beautiful beach in Isla Mujeres but it’s still tucked off where it feels secluded and quiet, the staff was amazing Karen who works the front desk during the day, went out of her way to help us with spa treatments, recommendations, and was really such a pleasure to be around, she was very personable and you could tell she loved what she did and she was happy to help in anyway she could, the Lotus was also walking distance to amazing food and shopping, the staff was amazing, our room was beautiful, and we already booked our next stay, couldn’t recommend this place more.

This is the beach you want to be at. The bar side pool, the vibe, the food, the beach, the beachside beds, and staff bringing you food and cocktails all day. A tru place to lounge and relax. Very attentive staff. Location, location. I've been to 10 different places on Isla Mujeres. this is our 4th time back to this particular spot.

The Little Lotus

The Lotus is a great little place on the best beach in Isla Mujeres. Staff is extraordinarily accomodating, friendly and helpful with any needs. Would reccomend the plunge pool rooms. Great patio and the pool overlooks the beach. Place is very quiet in the morning and evening. Rooms were clean and AC works great. Close to Centro to walk but far enough you dont get the noise.

Disliked, you couldn't access the beach from your room, pictures are deceiving, it's about an 8-foot drop. Didn't use the pool, wasn't cleaned everyday, patio in the shade and pool was cold. Disliked, the room smelled like urine in one corner, had house-keeping remove a jute rug and mop the tile, it didn't help.

The property was beautiful, well kept, and the rooms nicely decorated. We have a ground floor suite with private terrace and pool overlooking the beach and ocean. Unfortunately there was unplanned construction happening above our terrace so it was unusable for a couple of days - the management team was quick to respond to our concerns and provided adequate compensation, take great care of our needs.
The beach club and pool were immaculate, a wonderful place to relax. Great DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Menu prices are expensive, but the food is top notch and well portioned - on par with most of the restaurants on the island.
Great location, right on Playa Norte, and within walking distance to all the downtown shops, cafes and bars.
My only complaint is the unnecessarily large MIA hotel across the water that obstructs the view of the sea for most of the beach front rooms.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Lotus. From being greeted by the Manager, to the wait staff, to the housekeeping, every part of our stay was perfect. We were aways attentively served, and warmly welcomed. The breakfast was perfect, the location is absolutely amazing, the hotel and beach club are absolutely top notch, and the food here is the best we have had on all of othe island, and this was our 8th trip to Isla Mujeres. We can't wait to return. Thanks to Lotus for making our trip such a memorable one!

The Hotel didn’t have wifi in the room. The conditions were good not great. The staff was the best about the whole experience. The breakfast was bad. The fruit was warm and the coffee was lukewarm. This is not a 5 star hotel so I wasn’t expecting that. It is a good place to stay, the location was everything for us. The good far outweighs The bad. The place is nice. They do a good job of keeping the grounds clean. I would recommend this place and would stay again!

From the moment I arrived later than expected, Alexander, the General Manager, did everything possible to make my stay memorable. He was always available with suggestions, ideas, and help. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Sol and the rest of the restaurant/bar staff were always available and friendly. Rutilo and the other housekeeping staff were always smiling and available.

Lotus beach hotel is a great place to stay.located on a great beach walkable to many restaurants and different beach clubs! The beach club that’s on site guru is nice. The staff at guru was on top of your drinks and food at all times! The people at the front desk are excellent! David took care of my questions and requests before arriving through texts. Before our arrival, Alexander, the general manager, provided us with excellent service. He even reached out a few days prior to inquire about our transportation details, known allergies, and reason for travel, leaving a positive first impression. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff and we walked into a mini paradise atmosphere. They were eager to cater to our needs and did so exceptionally. One morning during breakfast, Alexander joined us at our ocean-view table and recommended some amazing places to visit and restaurants to try. One of the recommended restaurants was Muelle 7, which had 5-star service and delicious food. The beach was conveniently located and had a great DJ playing on Saturday afternoon. However, the only downside was the alcoholic beverages. They were weak and overpriced, averaging between $13-16 dollars and tasting like plain juice. Despite that, we had an overall great experience, and it all started with the small details of care.

We have stayed at Lotus several times and we love everything about it. They are located on the beautiful beach but within walking distance to the market area for shopping and restaurants. The beach club which is part of the hotel has a nice pool with delicious food and drinks. The staff is amazing, they are very friendly and work non stop keeping the hotel clean and comfortable for the guests. Alexander the General manager is awesome, he spoke to us everyday making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Lotus Beach hotel!

The hotel is part of Guru beach club, so the staff reserved a beach bed for us everyday. The restaurant is also very good. We stayed at Lotus Beach for our honeymoon for a week and it was fantastic! The location is unbeatable, and the hotel and staff members are awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful for whatever we needed. It was very clean and everything seemed to be very new/well taken care of. It has a beach day club that ends up drawing in people not staying at the hotel, but we didnt mind as we were able to meet some really nice couples and learn some new key places and restaurants on the island. The hotel also allows its guests to reserve the beds so that you dont have to worry about not having somewhere to sit throughout your stay. The food and drinks at the hotel were also great. We booked with the continental breakfast as part of our stay, and it was probably one of the best included continental breakfasts we have ever had. I highly recommend Lotus Beach if you can fit it into your budget!

Hands down best hotel experience of my life. Small quaint boutique hotel that offers personal service and everyone is lovely and kind. Alex in the office loves his town and is proud to show it off and give wonderful recommendations for Anything. The entire staff at Guru welcomed each day with kindness and awesome island energy that makes us all envious of the island lifestyle ! The first 2 nights were incredibly busy and public use the beach club there. The Mia resort right across the resort had their music so loud until 10pm. But the rest of the stay was quieter. Great location for beach and getting to Hidalgo street and restaurants, staff Mayte, Alexander, Juan, Luis were incredible.

The hotel is right on the beach (Playa Norte), which is nice. However all rooms with sea view have a view towards the pink, ugly hotel in front. Big room with windows towards the sea and a jacuzzi. Low value for money in my opinion and wondering how this hotel is 5 stars (clogged shower, average breakfast)

Small boutique hotel on the best beach in Isla Mujeres. It is clean, quiet, very walkable to all of Isla Mujeres without the noise. The food and drinks are great, the ENTIRE staff is fantastic. The bar closes a little early, but there is a sports bar on the way back from the restaurants that is open for a last nightcap. I hate to give this place a review because I intend to go back a couple of times a year! The staff and the location make this my go to spot when I need a place to just \"be\". Thank you all for your hospitality.

Simply amazing!

Simply amazing!! Beautiful location, super friendly staff, clean and safe! This was our second time to Isla and this is easily our new favorite hotel and beach club. We were able to avoid the spring break party vibe on this side, yet it was still active and energetic. The views from the room are breathtaking and their WiFi was reliable and strong enough to support hours of video calls. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Lotus is a 6 room boutique hotel which allowed the staff/us to be able to connect. They were extremely personable, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay great. The manager, Alex, shared his knowledge of the island/culture/history with us. He also really listens and when he found out we were celebrating retirement he arranged a special welcome room decoration.
The food/drinks were very good.
They also have the Guru Beach Club which allows locals and tourists to use the beach facilities. We enjoyed this as we were able to meet and share ideas/knowledge of the island with one another.
A great experience all-around.

I liked the fact that the property was small, did not care for the fact that the general public was permitted to use pool area and really did not like that smoking was permitted on property and in POOL!!!

I also thought the continental breakfast could have been better.
The staff was wonderful, our room was wonderful.

This was the third resort I've stayed at on the island, and it is was my best experience to date. The resort consists of 6 very unique rooms. This allowed for an intimate and personable experience. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. You seriously will not encounter anything like it anywhere else on the island.

Originally we were in a room with a plunge pool. Unfortunately we chose to go during a cold front, so were unable to enjoy it. We casually mentioned to Israel how chilly it was and how cold the plunge pool was because of it. He was so kind, and moved us to a larger room with a jetted tub.

The location of this resort is perfect. You will be on a private part of the beach. The resort provides beach lounging which makes laying out comfortable and easy. You will also be walking distance to many restaurants and shops. If you'd like to explore the island there is a golf cart shop a couple of blocks away where you can rent a cart for roughly $15/hour, or $55/day. SN: Lemón is a restaurant on the island worth renting a cart to experience.

The bartender was the coolest man. He also makes delicious drinks. There's something for everyone. The menu at the restaurant is limited. I'm not sure if this is due to covid, but it's probably because its not a large resort. The lobster and steak are delicious. I also enjoyed a few other items on the menu, but you may want to venture off the resort for most dining.

The beach is beautiful and the water is spectacular. This place was not what I was personally looking for. I wanted to find a place to relax that would be quiet. I got a room with the plunge pool on the water. When I arrived I noticed there was a ketchup packet and a bunch of leaves/debris in the pool. Didn't make me want to use it. The morning was nice and quiet but around noon it starts to fill up with day trippers who camp out on the beach. They were super loud and there were kids everywhere. I chose an adults only resort for peace and quiet. I didn't realize they would let people use the beach chairs in front of the rooms and that there would be incessant noise until they left. After they left, the resort across the water began playing terrible music until late into the night. The bass travels across the water. So there is no peace and quiet until at least 11pm and then by noon it goes south again. It's a nice place but if you're looking for a relaxing place to stay this is not the one. I changed to the Hotel Secreto for my last night on the Island and it was much better. I liked it so much there I extended my trip for three more nights to get the relaxation I had actually been looking for.
