The room is large and located very close the heart of the city. Convenient to eat and shop. Staff is friendly and accommodating. One on the AC units went out during our stay and that was fixed immediately.

Flooding bathroom

10/10 for the staff. The staff was super polite, friendly and nice.

However, this hotel has “luxury” in the name, but it is far from that. We had the “penthouse”. It was dark, and the bathroom would flood every time you showered because it was poorly designed and built. Really awful design. This caused the floors to always be slippery and wet. On top of that you have to climb into a deep tub. Very dangerous for older people. This also caused cleanliness issues. Room was also a bit small for a “penthouse” and luxury. The price is very expensive for what you get. You could pay the same and get a much better hotel in the city in the same area. The lobby area is also super small and crowded.

I feel bad for giving a low rating, because the staff was really great. But the condition of the hotel wasnt great for the price at all.

We really enjoyed our stay at luxury diamond hotel. Our room was as expected, clean and comfortable. The view from our room was nice and you can see Ben Thành market. We really liked the receptionist, Mai. She is really nice and very considerate when we asked for assistant or advice to locations of interest. We highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for location, cleanliness and close to our activities that Saigon has to offer. We will definitely book again. Thank you Mai and owner for a great stay.

I absolutely loved the rooms and the workers there. The family that works are so lovely and I enjoyed every interaction with them and I even looked forward to them again. The rooms were well equipped, clean and cozy. The whole experience was enjoyable. If I come back to Ho Chi Minh, I will go there again!

I always have a good experience at the Diamond Luxury Hotel, the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Very clean hotel and rooms have been recently renovated. I have stayed there for a few years now, during my trips to HCMC with my wife. For the price and location it's an excellent choice.

Overall, staffs and the owner was kind. However, does not clean as look like as the photo on the website. Whenever the elevator moves, spooky sounds shake the room. When it rains a little, it sounds loud and noisy.
From outside the bath room, anyone can see silhouette of people inside. Even worse, since there is a cam, we could not shower.

Ruby was awesome.... And the rest of the staff. The wifi is strong and hot water a plenty. That being said there is NO CABLE TV although you have netflix and NO room with a view. The neighborhood is a bit rundown its close to and everyone is nice and quite. If you are looking for clean on a budget with a few quirks.. This one is for you!

Great location for an inexpensive stopover. Really enjoyed the friendship and service.
Locally there are some god bakeries and resturants ,icecream and a brewery bar. Easy walk to the markets and walking streets.

Best deal in town

The best deal for your money in HCM City. The hotel is centrally located, 5 minutes walk from Ben Thanh Market. It's family owned and operated therefore the service is excellent. Very quiet compared to other hotels in same area. Highly recommend to couple and family.

Clean, spacious, affordable, this is my second stay, was happy to come back here after my visit to Hanoi, I have tried some other hotels and they were not as good as this one, for the price, this is the best in HCM. People have mentioned three of four stars, I have no problem saying on Asain standards this is four star and GREAT VALUE. The family bend over backwards to welcome you and are friendly without getting in your way.

This hotel is one for travellers who need a friendly, clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is *not* for travellers who like to spend their time in a hotel bar or pool, or eating at hotel restaurants - Diamond Luxury Ben Thanh doesn't have any of these things. What it does have in abundance is awesome hospitality by the owners and staff. Nothing is too much trouble, they are unfailingly friendly and helpful (hi Bobby and Uncle Cheung). Its not often the guys at reception are an integral part of staying at a hotel, but that's the case at Diamond Luxury Ben Thanh.

The rooms are super clean, comfortable, and the furniture and fittings look pretty new. High speed internet, and netflix etc tvs were welcome, especially for the kids (and me). Our family room was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, the bathroom looked new, and the hot water was hot and plentiful. The location - down a little alley - meant it was off the street so relatively quiet. There are so many good places to eat nearby, including standard pho places, plus burgers, pizzas, coffee etc that you'd need a pretty good reason to want a hotel restaurant or bar.

I have compared this to bigger places (such as Majestic), and I'd take Diamond Luxury Ben Thanh every time. Its newer, cleaner, cheaper and much friendlier.

I'm delighted to recommend Diamond Luxury Ben Thanh, and wish all hospitality providers would be as hospitable.

do NOT book this hotel through a third party!!

My husband and I showed up and the hotel did not have our Expedia reservation and would not Honor the price even though we had a copy of the reservation. We were too tired after a 19 hour flight to argue with someone who didn’t speak a word of English. When we finally spoke to the daughter she said “Expedia lies all the time”. Don’t waste your time with this place ..

The room is more alike small apt, with kitchen including, very clean and with modern appliances. It also come with one or two beds in the room, couch bed also available. If you travel from 3-5 peoples to downtown Ho Chi Minh City and looking for good hotel bargain, check out this place, the manager will get you a good price in saving. Very friendly hotel.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a mix up with checking into our next apartment and the guy at the front desk couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, absolutely lovely. The apartment is clean and fresh and nice size for a couple with an amazing TV. Honestly would stay again just because of how nice the guy at the front desk was! He is a credit to the place!

Amazing spot for exploring District 1

The owner/manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. We booked and showed up with almost no warning, but the room was perfectly clean and ready (as well as spacious). It also included quite a few features we didn't expect, and would be great for a long-term stay if needed. We were able to get up to the rooftop terrace which even afforded a great view of Tet fireworks. I would definitely return!

The location is well located, away from the buzz and yet walking distance to Saigon Square and Ben Thanh market. The room was clean, spacious and equipped with WiFi connection. The hosts are friendly and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Diamond Luxury Ben Thanh.

My stay with the hotel was wonderful, rooms were clean and cozy. Very quiet. AC super strong. Staff was awesome - family business, very helpful, nephew spoke great English super helpful. The uncle was super friendly and hilarious.
