This is my honest review as a 44yo woman. I thought from the review it was a good place to meet people as a solo traveller. It was only young crowd. It was not a friendly atmosphere for myself. I stayed in a single room and I’m glad I did. The room was so basic and needed to be updated big time especially the flooring and the washroom. The shower wet the floor all over and it was pretty dangerous to walk on it. There was only two towels nothing else. I paid the same fare for a very luxurious hotel few days ago so the price wasn’t right. I don’t believe that room was worth more then 80$/night cad

It was a horrible experience to stay at Medellin Vibes! the front desk attendant was extremely unpleasant and not helpful at all. this was more of a place to go clubbing than a hostel. The air conditioner was not working properly and the filter was completely clogged with dirt. Out of the 4 nights we stayed, we had hot water only the first night and the staff knew that they were having problems with the water heater. We could hardly sleep because the music was so loud. The breakfast was of the lowest quality and it was almost impossible to get ice. The toilet seat was loose and broken. It was a nightmare!!!!

All the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming always with a smile. The 2 bed room was spacious, bathroom was clean and hot water was provided. Breakfast was included and delicious, you can choose your egg style plus an add on, different sides were given everyday as to not eat the exact same breakfast every morning. Happy hour included margaritas and bartender brought over drinks poolside. Pool was warm, not hot, but great for late evening swims. 5 minute walk from a restaurant and some other options. 10 minute walk from the park and other stores. Quite surroundings and secured area. Front desk buzzed people in and out. Also 2 minute walk from a mini market in case you needed essentials such as water, snacks, toothbrush. Overall one of the best and affordable stays I’ve had.

It was also pretty loud, not because people were rowdy but just because there wasn't very good noise insulation. Difficult to sleep if you wish to sleep in late morning or during the day as there is loud music played on the property. Breakfast period is rather short unfortunately as well. It was like an all exclusive resort if it had more guest it would a lot of fun. The pool was closed for all day monday and Tuesday until noon because of water isues i think plus for some reason the clean the pool in the morning not at night. I like to swim with breakfast but i still will stay there again

Nice bar/restaurant, a decent breakfast, it had the basics and scrambled eggs. But we were a bit disappointed after reading other reviews. The room didn't have windows and was therefore muggy and had some mold present in the bathroom. The furniture was pretty dinged up and we were given a room facing the street which was under construction overnight. Not bad overall, but we paid hotel prices for what was a private room in a hostel and very much felt like that.

Medellín Vibes was incredible! The staff were so friendly and helpful: I don't speak Spanish, but they were kind enough to let me practice with them a bit and spoke English well enough that we communicated without any problems. There was no return curfew, so that was nice. The location was excellent; just a 10-15 minute walk to Poblado, and even closer to the train station, a big department store, and a delicious 24-hour restaurant. The Double Deluxe room was a bit small, but furnished well and the bed was comfy. The shower was amaaaazing! Staff cleaned the room and replaced towels everyday. They served a simple breakfast from 7-10a; nothing special, but helpful when you have tours that start at 8am. We didn't use the pool or communal kitchen they have available, but we enjoyed winding down at the attached bar; Carlos the bartender didn't speak much English, but he was very friendly! Their hookah wasn't very strong and was a bit overpriced, but it tasted and smoked well. They also need to update their drink menu since they stopped carrying certain things, but what they did have was reasonably priced and delicious.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at Medellín Vibes and would absolutely stay there again!

Properly is categorized as a Hostel however they have private rooms with bathrooms. Breakfast was always fresh and the coffee hot. The staff was always accommodating and always had a smile. This was the perfect hotel for our stay in Medellin. Located in a quiet area near the metro and popular restaurants. The pool is a big plus, when you are out and about (mid-day to early pm). The bar is well worth it for the amazing cocktails they mix up. The price is very reasonable. The free breakfast is more than enough, and I do realize that they need to mix it up a bit (selection). Overall, the location was great. Close to Metro station Poblado, Parque poblado, Parque Lleras, Parque recreativa (awesome views of the city) and a workout station to boot (8 minute walk). You are also close to barrio Manila, where a lot of new restaurants and bars are opening up. Overall, I would not hesitate on staying there again and would recommend.

This place I’m glad I chose to stay here it is super clean the people are great the breakfast is included the location has a shop a bakery across the road along With places to eat nearby the only Hostel I found with a great swimming pool location has a bar on site common courtesy to tip receptionist room cleaners and bartender if you like I did at the end of my stay .
