I booked a short trip to see Fall Foliage the second week in November and was very pleased. The area right around the hotel is planted with ginkos and maples that have vibrant colors and the trip from Weinheim to Heidelberg on Route 3 and the local castle park are also nice for fall foliage. Tram 5 stops 100 meters away so you can visit Heidelberg or Mannheim with no parking challenges. The fitness facility is the best of any hotel -- it is actually a large training center for personal trainers completing professional certificate programs. Nice rooms too.

The hotel was fine, about 25 minutes walk from the Altstadt. It was in good condition, although the Aircon in the room didn't work. The room was comfortable apart from the lack of working Aircon, bed was fine and the room contained a fridge for personal use. Nothing special really about the room, a standard hotel room in a reasonable hotel but at a rather inflated price.
Parking can be very easily found on the street outside so I wouldn't bother booking parking, and about 100m from the hotel is a team so that will take you not only into the centre but also onto Heidelberg or Mannheim as well. Is seriously consider staying here again if I wanted to visit Heidelberg, it's a lot less trouble than trying to find parking in Heidelberg.
Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on quality/value for money.

The Hotel is easy to reach with a car. One night we had the buffet and every morning the breakfast buffet. The food is good and a lot to choose from. The bar has great service. Everyone of the staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. The room was great and clean.

The staff was very nice and helpful, but the furniture were old and tatty, the the bath hole was full of limescale, armchair had a hole in the seat... there were nothing in the room even to make a hot drink or a glass of water...
I understand the current Covid situation but since the lack of gym, sauna, breakfast buffet the price should reflect it.

Upon check in (early) I was charge almost 50% of the hotel night rate. Secondly, they charged extra for parking.
Both items were not noted in the reservation.
Another hotel would have been cheaper after all the addition hidden charges.

The hotel itself is fine, but does show some wear in areas. No air conditioning, but a fan is provided. Wifi can be very slow in the evenings. A popular stop for tour buses, so a lot of foot traffic. Parking and breakfast are expensive.

Nice simple hotel in a quiet & relaxed town! Close enough to German Grand Prix and far enough out to be quiet. Recommended if you want to tour the area Note had a bar and restaurant and room service, but menu was quite limited. Friendly staff!

The only issue we found was the lack of air conditioning, luckily the windows of our room could be opened to get some heat out and there was a fan too

The pictures on line are better than the actual hotel. Their is no mirror other than in the bathroom or the wardrobe so a lady needs to sit on the floor to do her hair. Very strange. A simple mirror by the desk would be so easy to install in each room

There’s no AC and it was 38C/90F the entire stay. If I opened a window because there wasn’t screens all that came in was bugs.

They don’t keep irons in the room, and when I got it, housekeeping took it back without asking if I was done with it.

The breakfast isn’t great, it could be because the restaurant is under renovation and they’re setting up in the ballroom.

Outside of that it’s a good facility, clean, the staff is friendly, and tries to help.

We enjoy the hotel. The staff is very pleasant and for being such a busy hotel one doesn't feel neglected. The only complaint is the bathtub. While it is very German it is incredibly high and hard to step up into, stand without fear of slipping and falling, and dangerous to get out of. It is the only hotel we stayed at in Germany that didn't have a walk in shower. I noticed many older people at the hotel and wondered about their safety getting in and out of the tub.

Room was OK, but not great, especially the bath. Booked room w/o breakfast as I was unsure as to what I would do in that regard. When staying, we decided to look into the breakfast buffet. Buffet was not great and, in our minds, not well laid out. Then I asked the price----twenty euros per person. I consider this high by most any hotel and spread, but this buffet wasn't worth ten euros. We declined and went elsewhere. Also tried to use the computer in the lobby. Wouldn't come up and when I asked the desk, I was told that it took a credit card. I guess that I'm accustomed to hotels providing computer access. If this is all an NH modus operandi, I would likely not stay with this chain again.

Great hotel, great price... needs air conditioning

This was a nice hotel and the price was very reasonable. The breakfast in the morning was superb and the bathroom had everything you need. The staff was friendly and the parking was fine. It is a short drive (too far to walk) to the Altstadt, which is a must-see. The only drawback was that there was no air conditioning... it was too hot. This may have been due to the renovation going on, but the third floor was a little too hot to be comfortable.

I have stayed for one night only. The hotel is not new, but in decent shape and clean. There are plenty of free parking spaces. The room was in decent shape and slightly bigger than in many other hotels I have seen. It was very quiet and I had an excellent sleep.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to go out for dinner and the concierge had some good advice about restaurants in foot-distance. It was raining really hard that night and he gave me an umbrella without being asked. I would have been completely soaked without it.

I didn't try the restaurant or the breakfast, so I can't comment on that.

As far as hotels in Weinheim go, it is a very good one. As far as a hotel in general, it was just ok. Their fitness center only has one exercise bike. Dinner at the restaurant was bland. It was unseasonably warm during my visit and since the hotel does not have air conditioning, it was very very hot in the room (which made it hard to get a comfortable nights sleep)

I can only give 3-star to this hotel. Maybe the lobby and the dining area could be close to 4 star, but the hallways are 2-star (had dirty stains and bleached out in some places), furniture in the room is 2-star, and the bathroom curtain smell and it is 2.5 star. Walls and doors are also 2 star. Towels were worn out and old. Gym is also mediocre at best. People at the reception were kind, though. They need to lower the rating of this hotel.

Our stay was OK. They did accomodate us with an early check in which was really great because we had flown all night from the USA to Germany. We had our breakfast included and that was just OK. The eggs were horrible. The hotel was very very noisy. Because of our room location we were very close to the opening by the lobby which opened to all floors. Because people would mingel in the lobby their voices carried up to all floors. Our last night which was Saturday the hotel noise was extremely loud until 3:30 AM. Would consider not staying at this hotel again on our future visits to Germany.

Mein Zimmer war in einem guten Zustand, es war gemütlich. Gemütlich war aber nicht die Matratze. Diese war wirklich extrem hart und alles andere als angenehm. Auf dem Boden schlafen wäre angenehmer gewesen..
Ebenso ist war das duschen in der Badewanne eine Zumutung. Das Wasser lief kaum ab, und der Stand war auch alles andere als sicher.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt ok, nicht wirklich etwas besonderes aber ok. Sauber, freundliches Personal, etc.
Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ok, keine besonders große Auswahl oder besonders frische Angebote allerdings kommt man sich im Frühstücksraum, was die Lautstärke betrifft, vor wie mitten in einer Bahnhofshalle.
Trotzdem alles ganz ok nur der Preis passt eben nicht dazu !
Es ist viel zu teuer !
Bei dem Preis (vergleichbar mit einem Hotel ihn einer großen Touristenstadt) erwartet man deutlich mehr !

How to waste money...

An absolute disastrous level of service from NH and Hotels.com.

Booked via the Hotels.com app.
Shuffling through hotel offers, the app changed the set dates, which I only first noticed when receiving the confirmation email. At this point we had 200km left of a 1000km drive and would arrive around 20.00.

Calling 1 min after the booking.

First I talk to the NH hotline, which says they cannot help me change for the current date - they refer to hotels.com.

Calling hotels.com and spending 30 mins on the line and being told to wait, they tell me (I doubt its true) that they spoke to the hotel and that only the hotel can change the booking.

Calling back to NH, I am told that if I go to the hotel, they will be able to help and change the booking.

After driving the 150km to the hotel, we arrive and they will not help (even though they have vacant rooms). At first I thought they were helping, but they apparently just made a new booking. Even standing at the counter, it cost around 15 euro to cancel the new booking, she just put in the screen.....
The hotel has no management at this hour of the day, but cant make decisions without..
There is a minor difference in price on the 2 dates, which I obviously are willing to pay.

I have never experienced this lack of service in a hotel. The fact that they their hotline tells us to go there, and then are not willing to help is infuriating.

I will never set my foot in a NH hotel again.

Das Hotel selbst ist modern und hat große Zimmer. Es ist gut an die Autobahn angebunden.

Leider gab es lange Wartezeiten an der Rezeption bei Ankunft und Abreise.

Das Parken hat problemlos funktioniert. Etwas, was ich sehr gut fand, war, dass man einmalig eine Karte aktiviert bekommen hat und man konnte dann den gesamten Aufenthalt rein- und rausfahren. Bezahlt hat man einmal beim Check-Out. Das läuft bei anderen Hotels oft komplizierter ab mit täglicher Bezahlung.

Leider sind die Zimmer nicht mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. D.h. bei 30°C und wärmer, schläft man in der Nacht sehr unruhig. Da hat der bereitgestellte Ventilator auch nicht geholfen. Das war wirklich sehr , sehr schade.

Wir waren schon mehrfach im nh Weinheim, aber diesmal, mag am Zimmer 13 gelegen haben, waren wir nicht zufrieden. Die Verdunklungsvorhänge waren versifft, ebenso die Ecken in der Dusche. Die bereitgestellte Flasche Wasser war bereits angebrochen. Wir haben das angesprochen: Gardinen werden etagenweise gereinigt und um die Dusche würde man sich kümmern. Nichts geschah. Bei Abreise wurde gesagt, dass die Silikonabdichtung gewechselt werden muss. Als Wiedergutmachung gab es das letzte Frühstück gratis. Apropos Frühstück, sehr lieblos aus der Plasteverpackung auf die Platten geklatscht. Man merkt eben sofort, dass ohne Herz gearbeitet wird.
Absolut hervorragend sind jedoch die Parkmöglichkeiten am Haus.

Standard Doppelzimmer war ausreichend groß und komfortabel. Kann im Sommer etwas warm werden, dafür steht ein Ventilator bereit. Dusche und Bad waren sauber und mit Fön sowie Hygieneartikel ausgestattet. Ein Wasserkocher mit Tassen war ebenfalls vorhanden. Einzig Frühstück ist doch recht teuer. Parkplatz vergleichsweise günstig.

Von einem 4 Sterne Haus hatte ich mehr erwartet. Schimmel im Bad, fehlende Fliesen in der Toillette vom Restaurant, defekter Ventilator im Zimmer, Cocktails nur als Fertigmix an der Bar, Preis Leistung im Restaurant schlecht. Eigentlich ein schönes Hotel aber da fehlt etwas der Schliff. Über das Personal kann ich nichts negatives sagen. Alle freundlich und zuvorkommend.
