There wasnt enough lights the room is very so dark hard to moving arround ,

The Chef at the buffet is yelled me at infront of the public telling me that not to use the Toaster ,,
and the waiter verifying at the front desk if we did paid and or add on the room booking .
we are humiliated ,why dont they check at the front
desk instead of us ..

One staff person was quite nice and helpful. The others ranged from aloof to rudely dismissive. Dining staff need to improve hygiene awareness. They tolerated hand picking through cheese, meat and breads by some of the guests. There usually were dogs in the dining room and some of the staff would go from petting back to food and dishes handing. A couple of the dogs weren't clean.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at, and the best Leonardo. Excellent service across many small but important details. Cosy room and comfortable bed. Nice entrance lounge and friendly professional staff. Free parking and a really nice old town nearby; if you enjoy biking there are many pathways along the canal and through and around Ladenburg. We will happily return!

Small bed and aircon not working

I booked a double bed for me and my child. The bed was very small and the mattress hard. On top of that, they put us on the third floor, where the aircon is loud and doesn’t work.

Checked in at 22:30 local time, for an advertised 4* hotel with restaurant, bar AND room service I arrived to find that there was NO food being served onsite AT ALL! The only snacks available were from a vending machine and there was nothing stocked in the mini bar.

Good value hotel, excellent service, the receptionist spoke very good English. The bar served excellent food and we spent most our nights here. The breakfast was good. We have choose this hotel for our next several visits this month .

Again a wonderful stay!

We have stayed at this hotel several times before and had many family gatherings there. To our surprise it has been updated and renovated since our last stay. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner plus a little glas of sparkly wine. The hotel staff is well trained and very, very helpful. I would highly recommend eating at their dining facility. The prices were good and the service professional and attentive. We were a party of six and everyone was happy with their choice in food. The plates all were beautifully decorated. We will return in October and are looking forward to being spoiled again. Our rating: A+++

The worst experience with Leonardo Hotel

We booked a non refundable room for two nights, but due a family problem we contacted the hotel the second day after booking to ask them if is possible to cancel the reservation and get the money back. We were informed that non refundable reservation cannot be cancelled so we said we will try to arrive at least for the second night. But when we arrived there we got the \"surprise\" that our reservation was cancelled by the hotel because we didn't show up on the first night and to stay the second night we were asked to pay an extra amount equal with the rate of the day which was more than the price for one night that we paid initially. So they didn't wanted to cancel our reservation at our request but they have given our room for which we've already paid and got an extra cash for it! Finally after we complained to the staff, we were getting a pity room within the initial reservation, but the experience was bad and we will never forget this experience or book anything with this hotel chain.

A long walk into Ladenburg but ...

it was a long walk into the town, but worth the effort. This hotel has all the comforts one would expect and I was very pleased with my choice to stay here. I was delighted to find the room had a small refrigerator, and a grocery (Penny) next door was a real plus for buying soda, wine, and food items at reasonable cost.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, about 15 minutes walk from the nearest train station that is not served by many trains, so better to have a car. Hotel is clean and comfortable, although somewhat aging. Staff is friendly, breakfast is ok, dinner at the restaurant was GREAT. Wifi works ok.

If you booked with Hotels.com, the reception you receive will not be very friendly at all. Internet will normally be included, but only if you book with the hotel directly. If you booked with Hotels.com, it will set you back $15/night! Even in September, my room was very hot at night and the street in front too noisy to open a window. There is supposed to be airconditioning in the room (it is advertised as such), but they have clearly switched the air conditioning unit off. It was just blowing room temperature air into the room - definitely not chilled. The pillow was probably the most unfomfortable I've had in a long time, and the room is disappointingly small.

The hotel was adequate but surely nothing to get excited about. The evening staff was so minimal it took over 20 minutes just to find someone to assist with checking out. Additionally, parking is minimal and the location is about 15 minutes away from the city of Mannheim.

There was no free wifi; not even in the lobby. There was a computer available but even popular sites like Yahoo and Facebook had limitations in graphics on this. It seems like a nice hotel, but only for people that are staying for business. I would not recommend it for the leisure traveller.

A suitable hotel thinking about visit Heidelberg

Just like my title says, i think Leonardo´s a suitable choice if anyone thinks about visit Heidelberg by an economic budget. The hotel is very confortable, rooms pretty big as well as bathroom, no amenities are served but you can ask for them. Staff is correct. Localitation is 10 mins by car, but theres public transport direct to Heidelberg.

Appreciated early check in after long flight from Australia to Frankfurt, Comfortable large room with windows opening to trees. Convenient short walk to charming old town and the Carl Benz Auto Museum. Supermarket literally next door.
No tea/coffee making facility and the internet cost was excessive.

Pricing of rooms was great, but breakfast was a bit expensive. Facilities were great, staff friendly & helpful, and rooms fantastic. Best shower I've ever encountered in a hotel. Sauna was worth the price of admission. Only problem was the location was a bit of a trek from where I had to be (Heidelberg), but I knew that when I booked it. Recommended if you have a car.

Good value for Money next to Heidelberg. A great break Hotel after a long journey.

This Hotel is perfect to make a break and get a Hotel feeling rather than a Motel for a great value. It has 4* but in my opinion it is 3.5 as you may expect to much from a 4* Hotel. However main point is the value and you will get it for what you payed. The bed was comfortable and relaxing. The bathroom was a bit small but with all you need to start your day. Easy access to motorways to the south of Germany and next door to Heidelberg and Mannheim. However we have not seen any sign of public transport so we recommend to use the car only. Many tourists from Denmark and Netherlands was staying in this Hotel. The breakfast was good and there is some confusion about the price of it. We read here 18Euro which we would not pay for it than at the breakfast it was 15Euro and once we checked in we have been told it was 10Euro p.p. which we finally paid. It is important that you know that this Hotel is booked via a reservation service which confused me totally as Expedia was asking for the credit card and at the end of the confirmation you got a total but in this case it is a total of the reservation and Expedia is not charging you for the room. You will be asked to pay the total amount at the end of your stay just to avoid any confusion for next visitors.

Hotel was nice and big. Nice rooms. Not quite what I might expect for a 4 star but the price was right. No metro stops nearby so you are quite limited to the hotel. We were told breakfast was \"included\" but they must have meant \"available\" because after we ate they dinged us for 18 euros each! Definitely not worth that price. Aside from breakfast though the hotel was good.

I stayed there while my son was in the hospital having surgery. I paid for the days in advance no knowing why he might get released from the hospital. I pad for 4 nights and only stayed 3 and couldn't get a refund for the fourth night. I don't think this is being fair to the customers. I was not told this up front or I would have done something different. I will be telling others about this so maybe they wont make the same mistake. It not just about the money it's about treating the customers right. The people in the hallways were so loud at night they were in the hall yelling and talking at all hours of the night.

Wir waren das 2. Mal im Leonardo-Hotel Ladenburg und wie beim 1. Mal sehr zufrieden. Die Juniorsuite ist großzügig geschnitten. Das Babybett mit Bettzeug war bereitgestellt. Einen Wasserkocher haben wir an der Rezeption bekommen. Das Frühstück war reichlich und eine gute Auswahl. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut und hatte ein angemessenes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Der Cocktail war ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Lobby ist schön eingerichtet und lädt zum Verweilen ein.
Allein die Beleuchtungssituation in den Zimmern könnte besser (heller) sein.

Das Personal ist sehr bemüht, die Wünsche nach einem ruhigen Zimmer zu erfüllen. In meinem Zimmer war die Heizung defekt. Man hat mir sofort einen Elektro-Heizlüfter gebracht und zur Entschädigung eine große Flasche Wein und einen schön angerichteten Obstteller. Ich bin schon des Öfteren in diesem Hotel gewesen und kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Luft nach oben war bei den Zimmern. Sie sahen nicht aus wie auf den Fotos und bräuchten einen neuen Anstrich. Aber sie waren sauber und komfortabel.
