Liked the Stay!

I booked \"Classic Double Room, Sea View\". The room had everything which the picture on this site shows only organisation was different. I liked the room, particularly the sea view balcony. On the first day I somehow managed to jam the balcony door which was fixed by the property care taker/owner(Ella, don't know her job profile), the next day. I forgot to bring UK to Euro power adapter and Ella helped me by buying one and letting me borrow it for the entire stay(6 nights).

Few important notes:-

1) Please let the property owner/care taker know about your check in time as there is no one at the location usually unless required. I did let them know so was not a problem for me.
2) The entrance door may be locked, you can enter only if you have the keys.
3) Towels and bin were serviced every two days, room was not serviced in any other way(as \"no house keeping\" stated in details of room) however I did not need any other service during my stay so not a problem for me.
4) (Glass)->(in room), (Cup, Hot water kettle, coffee, sugar, hair drier) -> (in common area).
5) You will have the contact number of the property owner for anything you might need, just reiterating - no property staff will be at the location.
6) One important thing to note for \"Restaurant Pension Dioklecijan\" -> restaurant and the rooms at the property are owned by different owners so don't expect them to be related.
5) A bit noisy however I did not mind.

Over all - Did I like my stay? - Yes I enjoyed it.

Beautiful sea view. Towels changed every other day. Stayed room only but had a fridge and a kettle and mugs were provided when asked for. The staff were very pleasant. Close to the beach. Close to shop and bus route.

gave a good base for surrounding area. Short downhill walk to beach. Small supermarket next door. Air conditioning very good. Sheets and towels changed every 2 days. Small fridge in room. Extra bedding/ pillows in wardrobe. Good sized balcony with table and chairs. Airer on balcony too

Bad noise isolation/ sound proofing in the room. The sound from the restaurant downstairs and other guests kept us from sleeping during the evening/early night and when we finnaly managed to sleep the sounds woke us up again early on the morning.
Also the shower had been poorøy cleaned, the corners havent been cleaned in ages,see photo.

Nice hotel close to the beach

We wanted something close to the beach, and this hotel is just across the road from one. We had a balcony with a partial seaview and this was very nice too. We had booked a double room, but the had just pushed two single befs together, which meant there was a gap in the middle. The shower was a bit cold, not that I really minded in that heat. Hotel staff very friendly and restaurant food was great!

Quiet hotel in Podstrana

Our flight was delayed so we arrived late at night and reception was closed. The taxi driver helped us phone the hotel and the owner came to let us in and show us to our room. Staff are friendly and welcoming although not fluent in English.
Hotel was very quiet, the room was large size and very clean. Breakfast area is nice although not much choice.
Hotel location is handy for bus stop, kids playground and beaches just over the road.

Nice view of the sea

You wake up, walk into the balcony, and there. the view is just spectacular(ignore the cable wires though) 2 min walk to the beach. 20-30 min drive to Omis ,Split centre. Nice restaurants by the beach. Foods amazing!! Supermarket nearby. Such a convienient place. Loved it . Would go back again.

Really nice family feeling like hotel

The place is really nice and the staff were amazing, really friendly and welcoming! The lady that works there is such a nice person, made our stay really comfortable :)
Rooms are clean and have big balconies, all equipped with Air Con and Mini bar, location is really good! 30 minutes bus ride to Split and 20 minutes bus ride to Omis both towns with loads to do and a few meters away from the beach, highly recommend this place

Nice hotel, close to beach and bus stop.

The room was acceptable, small, clean and comfortable. It had air conditioning but we didn't get any hot water from the shower. I asked the young lady who was around at breakfast when we might get hot water but I didn't understand her reply, I think she implied she would tell someone. Breakfast was very basic, just bread with either cheese, ham, nutella, honey or jam. The beach is just across the road and is a long white shingle beach with a couple of nice restaurants close by and a few beach cafes. You can't walk all the way to Split along the beach, you'd have to walk the last 3 miles along a horrible busy road through awful industrialised suburbs, but we walked as far as Strobec. The bus service was dreadful. It was quite cheap, but the Podstrana (number 60) bus was very infrequent during evenings and exceptionally packed. We tried to get to Krka NP by bus, got there ok but there was no bus back. We waited over 3 hours (with about 50 others) before having to get a taxi. Someone had written on the timetable on the bus stop that the bus didn't come. It's about 90 Km from Podstrana to Skradin, otherwise we'd have cycled, although the coast road is horribly busy and the shortest route is on motorways.

Pleasant small family-run hotel.

Good restaurant with rooms above. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms on the front have a balcony with sea-views, although the hotel is on the wrong side of the road. Cross the road and take the passage down to a long stretch of beach.

Difficult experience

Perhaps my review would be different if we had booked and stayed during the high season but since it was the beginning of May we arrived to doors locked and no one being there. The telephone numbers indicated on the doors didn't work and it took 1.5 hours to find someone to let us in. I had to run across the street to another hotel to ask for help to find someone. Finally a neighbor who spoke English helped find the owners son. Apparently the owners also own the apartment complex behind the hotel. No apology was given once we were finally let in and they expect a copy of your booking on arrival.
Our room was upgraded after we asked for a bigger room to fit our playpen. The view is pretty nice but the hotel is located directly in front of the main road so it's noisy if you want to sit and relax on the patio.
The hotel was at one time was very nice. You can tell they are getting it ready for the high season but it needs a little TLC, especially the bathrooms.
The restaurant is beautiful and the breakfast provided in the morning was fantastic.

Go anywhere but do not go to Pension Dioklecijan

It was closed, nobody there, no one in, a disaster, and to make it worse we had pre paid. Else we would have driven away and found somewhere more inviting. Eventually found the son of the owner, he had no idea that we were booked in.
Given a double room, no hot water for 3 days of the 7 days. It was so bad I just do not know where to begin or end. The matress was literaly fally to pieces. Just do not go there.
We will never book with Hotels.com again.

Wonderful people

The owner and manager (Denny) were incredibly accomodating. We had hoped for a room that looked out on the sea. When they did not have one, they gave us the large top-floor suite at no extra cost. They went out of their way to make our stay a great experience, and it was! Customer service always pays off!

A bang for your buck.....

This is a great place to stay. There are no kitchen facilities in the small 3 bed apartment, bathroom is newly renovated, for a tall person the shower is a bit small... No heat , but excellent beds on duvet.!

Personalen är fantastiskt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Rummen är trevliga och det finns luftkonditionering. Jättenära till stranden och fin utsikt från balkongen (vid havsutsikt). Angående boendet så är hotellet något lyhört och det hade även varit trevligt att kunna äta frukost på hotellet. I ena byggnaden var det en mild doft av fukt på morgonen, men med vädringsfönstret öppet så försvann det rätt snabbt. Rekommenderar definitivt hotellet.

Vi fick en jättefin lägenhet med utsikt över havet, stor terass och de två sovrummen hade balkong. Väldigt trevlig personal som gjorde sitt yttersta för att vi skulle ha en fin semester.
1 min gångtid till stranden, där det finns många restauranger som serverar fantastisk mat, affären,bankomat och bussen till större städer går direkt utanför.
Störs man av ljud bör man välja något annat boende,detta är inget vi störs av.

Paikka oli oikein mukava, ranta vieressä sekä yläkerran huoneiston parveke oikein hyvä paikkaa ottaa aurinkoa. Bussipysäkki aivan vieressä, josta oli hyvä lähteä niin Splitin kuin Omiksen suuntaan. Ruoanvalmistus välineet eivät olleen sen mukaisia, että siinnä olisi voinut ruokaa paistella.
Varauksessa luvattu päivittäinen siivous ei oikein toiminut, joka toinen päivä vaihdettiin kyllä pyyhkeet, mutta sen laajempaa siivousta ei ollut.

La pensione si trova a Podstrana, una frazione a circa 12km dal centro di Spalato.
La location è perfetta per chi, come me ed i miei amici, è alla ricerca di un posto economico e vicino al mare.
La spiaggia è in effetti sull'uscio di casa per i residenti dell'hotel.
Basta attraversare la strada, scendere per una rampa di poche scale e si è in spiaggia.
Nei dintorni c'è di tutto. Supermercati, sportelli bancomat, panetterie, banco frutta, edicola, ristoranti etc.
Tutto nel raggio di 1km.
Per chi vuole raggiungere Spalato, i bus sono frequenti e impiegano circa 25 minuti. Facilmente raggiungibili anche altre destinazioni lungo la costa, come Omis.
Abbiamo alloggiato in una tripla al primo piano con balcone vista mare. Una settimana (7 notti) a metà Luglio, 560 euro.
Lo trovo onestissimo.
La stanza molto spaziosa, con un letto matrimoniale ed un singolo, un divano molto grande, balcone con tavolo e 3 sedie, scrivania/sedia, grandi armadi, mensole, stendino, mini-frigo, aria condizionata, tv, wi-fi e bagno/doccia piccolo ma fruibile.
Al piano rialzato si trova il ristorante che purtroppo non.applica prezzi speciali per gli ospiti dell'hotel ma questo non ci ha scoraggiati. Abbiamo consumato 4 pasti e devo dire che la qualità di tutti i piatti, sia di carne che di pesce, é ottima.
Prezzi medio/bassi.
Un elogio speciale a tutto il giovanissimo staff. Tutti sempre sorridenti e pronti a farsi in 4 ad ogni richiesta. Piccola pecca solo l'arredamento della camera un po' datato.

Koselig enkelt hotell!

Helt greit hotell for en uke med sol. Litt eldre innredning og enkelte ting som ikke helt fungerte optimalt, men så lenge du ikke skal oppholde deg på rommet 24/7 er det et enkelt og fungerende sted å være. Renhold hver dag, og rent rom en kom til første dagen. Pluss for å ligge rett ved stranden, og du har matbutikk og buss som tar deg inn til Split rett utenfor døren. Fin utsikt, aircondition.

Tie rannan ja hotellin välissä.

Ei omia rantatuoleja. Rauhallinen paikka. 6km. Spilitistä. Ongelma ei infoa .ravintola kiinni. Jouduttiin käymään pyytämässä apua naapuri hotellista jotta saatiin avaimet. Emme olleet ainoat meitä oli muitakin. Kun pääsimme hotelliin ok aamiainen ja ystävällinen palvelu. Ei mennä toista kertaa.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cet hôtel simple et accueillant. Le personnel parle anglais. On nous a donné une chambre donnant sur la buanderie: pas ouvert les volets ! Pas de terrasse comme annoncé. Petit déjeuner cher 7€ pour ce que c'est. Bus à proximité. Nous avions une voiture et il y a suffisamment de places de parking. Commerces à proximité. Split à 1/4 d'heure, mais attention aux bouchons !

Mukava hotelli aivan rannan vieressä

Sijainti on melko hyvä, ranta aivan tien toisella puolella, kaupat ja automaatti vieressä. Bussilla pääsee helposti ja melko nopeasti kaupunkiin ja maksaa vain 13 kunia per suunta.
Aamupala maksaa 7 euroa ja on hyvin niukka, mutta saa mahan täyteen. Huoneessa piti olla terassi ja merinäköala - noh meri näkyi vähän ikkunasta ja terassi oli huoneen ulkopuolella ja yhteinen kaikille (pari tuolia ja pöytä). Siivoojan piti käydä joka päivä mutta kävi vai yhtenä päivänä meidän viiden päivän majoituksesta. Silloinkin vain vaihtoi puhtaat pyyhkeet - ei muuta, ei edes pedannut sänkyjä. Hotellin tiedoissa kerrottiin myös ilmaisista hygieniavälineistä joita siellä ei kyllä ollut.
Huoneessa oli kuitenkin hyvä ilmastointi, ja henkilökunta ystävällistä. Suosittelen huoneen maksamista etukäteen koska me maksoimme vasta paikan päällä ja hinta nousi noin 60 eurolla, koska he laskevat 7 kunia = 1€ mukaan vaikka sen hetken kurssitilanne näytti muulta..
Kuitenkin ihan ok hotelli, mielestäni hieman ylihinnoiteltu, mutta saimme kaiken mitä tarvitsemme.

Hübsches Hotel in Strandnähe

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Kaffee wurde gleich gereicht,Getränke trotz geschlossenes Restaurant angeboten.Wohnung War trotzt Morgenstunden bezugsfertig.
Wohnung in der oberen Etage,sehr geräumig und mit Klima ausgestattet. Sehr freundlicher Pensionswirt.Ohne Frühstück gebucht,2 mal gebucht für rund 7 Euro pro Person kein Buffet.Das, wurde serviert,Wünsche konnte man äußern .sehr belebte Straße aber bei geschlossenen Fenstern kaum Geräusche gehört.

Hôtel désert et peu accueillant au mois d'octobre

Je suis arrivée le 27 septembre vers 14h et n'ai trouvé personne pour m'accueillir, il m'a fallu demander à des voisins de m'aider à trouver quelqu'un pour ouvrir ma chambre.
Je me suis trouvée seule dans cet hôtel ,mon ami n'ayant pas pu venir pour cause d'hospitalisation. Aucune autre chambre n'était occupée, le bar était fermé , aucune animation : un lieu totalement désert à cette saison.
Le petit déjeuner était servie par une personne qui venait spécialement de 8h à 10h.
Il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude à la salle de bain.
Je pense que cet établissement est animé en pleine saison , du moins je le souhaite.
Je déconseille à quiconque d'y aller à partir de fin septembre .

Kleine Pension mit gutem Restaurant

Architektonisch nette kleine Pension an der Durchgangsstrasse, direkt am Strand. Das Restaurant und deren Angestellte ware super, der Besitzer sehr rührig. Das Bad war leider nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, und das Zimmer wurde auch nicht täglich gereinigt.

Fin havsutsikt.

Pensionatet satsar allt krut på resteurangen som är jättebra, god mat o bra service. Rummet nedgånget. Trasiga eluttag, lampor etc. Ingen städning på 2 veckor. Städade själva med inköpt rengöringsmedel. Tur att affären låg nära, ca 300 m.

Bestilte på dagen for nogle dage i Split. Beskrivelse med delvis havudsigt var direkte forkert. Terrasse med udsigt til bjergene. Tæt ved strand med slidt. Flinkt personale.

Trevligt, pittoreskt och familjärt hotell

Väldigt trevligt litet (få rum) hotell som ligger nära stranden och många restauranger, ca 6 km från Split. Bra restaurang i markplan, mycket god mat och trevliga servitörer. Var där med en vän i mitten av juli 2015 i 35° värme - luftkonditioneringen var märkligt placerad i hallen till rummet (#6) och fungerade dåligt. Rummet hade en fin heltäckningsmatta som kändes exklusiv.

Vi blev senare uppgraderade till ett annat rum (#7) med fullt fungerande luftkonditionering. Golvet här var parkett och kändes mer slitet. Sängarna i det första rummet var lagom hårda men de i det andra var de väldigt mjuka, man låg i princip på fjädrarna. Kyl saknades även - så den fick flyttas med från det första rummet. Vägguttagen är som andra recensenter påpekat; av bristfällig kvalitet, vilket gör att kontakterna man sätter i sitter lite snett o vint.

Badrummen var fräscha och med duschkabiner. Toaletterna tar dock en stund på sig att spola ordentligt, vilket gör att man blir stående ett tag, tryckandes på spolknappen. Dörrlåset på rum #6 krävde lite trixande för att låsa/låsa upp. Frukostbuffén kändes skral. Hade gärna sett en brödrost och lite toast samt yoghurt (fruktyoghurt fanns) och lite större utbud av till exempel müsli. Inga stora problem. Tillmötesgående personal. Bilderna på hotellets egen hemsida antyder att det ser lite ruffigare ut än det faktiskt är. Känns gemytligt och genuint.
