Can’t say enough about this place. The people are so kind. It was like staying with family. Location is great out of the hustle of town but easily accessible. The promenade on the beach side goes for miles and has great restaurants along the way. Grocery shopping is close by. The beach is on the small side which I liked. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available for use. The water like everywhere is pristine. Our unit was very spacious. Highly recommend.

The host and hostess were absolutely lovely. They were so helpful. They even did a load of laundry for us in the morning when they were washing the linens. Breakfast was delicious. Delicious. Access to the beach was fantastic with lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. The beachfront property was just perfect for our stay and there was a market just across the street for supplies.

Firstly the welcome on arrival was outstanding, not sure we’ve ever been hosted by more friendly people, made a massive impression
Accommodation spotlessly clean, very well equipped (we cooked every night in fully functional kitchen)
Air conditioning in bedrooms was very welcome
The proximity to the beach was exceptional, literally a few meters from our apartment. What was also great was the Zanic included sun beds and umbrellas unlike others nearby. They also allowed access to inflatables and paddle boards which was fantastic

Couldn’t be nicer people to accommodate your stay! The ladies are amazing, friendly, and altered my open travel itinerary along the coast, giving their local experience and knowledge! The towns recommended to visit and stay were stunning! And were nowhere near my planned agenda
The room, view, beach, breakfast and just all around welcomed feel was something not experienced often…and I’m on a plane and hotels at least every other week

The room had a great view and plenty of space and kitchen utensils. Was close to several restaurants with different types of food as well as grocery stores. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel like family. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Be sure to take euros as they do not have a credit card machine to process payment.

Stunning views, welcoming hosts and a spacious room with all the necessary amenities. Perfect location just a 20 minute uber ride from the city. It was peaceful, safe and in walking distance of two local conscience shops. The room was great, enough room for two and a decent sized bathroom. Mini fridge was great and a stove top was handy for home cooked lunches enjoyed out on the terrace. The private beach was the main seller. No crowds, no hassle, just two loungers, an umbrella and the uninterrupted view of the water. I would highly recommend staying here along the coastline instead of the city. There is a walking path along the shoreline which takes you past multiple seafront restaurants and bars and is beautiful at sunset. I would absolutely come back again.

We had an amazing time! Beautiful and quiet location with the most friendly and kind staff I’ve ever encountered. I was travelling with a friend and we enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommend and I hope to be back!

The only reason I gave the surrounding area less than 5 stars is because it is currently undergoing quite a bit of construction, so we were having to navigate torn up sidewalks and construction equipment. I’m sure that when the renovations are done it will be even more lovely.

By far the best place I have ever stayed!! First the owners and staff are extremely nice and welcoming - we felt like part of the family! Then the view from the balcony and the room was a dream, we spent both nights relaxing on the balcony and enjoying coffee in the morning. Finally the location is perfect - it’s so walkable along the beach and there’s so many restaurants you can access. Not to mention the swimming beach right out front is gorgeous. We will absolutely be staying there again :)

Beautiful and peaceful in the off-season

Phenomenal. The location is exceptional, walking out of my door onto the pebbles of a beautiful beach looking out onto the sea.

Everything was clean and well thought through, the staff were friendly and very helpful (and offered free coffee and beer every day) and it was quiet and restful.

I will be back very soon, as I can't remember a more peaceful and relaxing week in a very long time.

Hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed. From my initial interactions with the staff, everyone was absolutely friendly. We felt like family. We had the sea view apartment and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely beautiful to wake up to the sea view every day. The beach was footsteps away and not crowded at all. Literally no complaints! The ladies were lovely and the room we had was really nice! Transportation, convenience stores and restaurants were near by. Of course the beachfront view was stunning! Chairs, umbrellas and towels provided. They gave us pamphlets, booked our restaurant reservations, did our laundry and we also got the paid breakfast. Honestly, my friend and I were really happy with our stay.

The apartments are right on the beach and beautiful. They are a bit south of “downtown” Split, which I enjoyed as Split is quite busy. And an easy Uber ride away. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay.

Danijela was an amazing hostess who cared about making you feel at home away from home. Her English was very good and the studio apt was literally right at the seashore. The apt was very clean, compact and functional with a bar fridge and kitchen cooking element with sink. The outdoor covered patio overlooking the Adriatic sea was amazing to spend an afternoon or evening. There are a few good restaurants and grocery stores withing 5-10 minutes walking. Breakfast served on the outdoor terrace was perfect each day and quite filling.
Highly recommended and I will definitely stay here next time I visit Podstrana. It's truly a family owned business that cares about first class service to its customers....

Fantastic 7 night stay.Danielle Mickey and Maria looked after us like we were family! We stayed in a small room with very adequate facilities (kettle fridge cutlery glasses and cups) to suit our needs. Could not fault this place Wi-Fi perfect! Bus stops right outside to split 20/30 mins traffic permitting really cheep and Omis. Beautiful walks along the beach or along main road to quiet but atmospheric bars and restaurants. Sunset views .Would recommend or return if we were lucky,without a doubt.

The apartment was really clean and had all we needed in the kitchen except dish washing liquid and kitchen towels. Good AC and the beach is right out the back door. Myself and my girlfriend had a fantastic experience staying here. The hosts are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting and they go above and beyond for their guests. Our room was clean, spacious and modern. The location is perfect, it is quiet and everything you need is on the doorstep - shops, restaurants, the sea, and unbelievable views every evening at sunset. We had the freedom of staying in an apartment but it comes with the perks of staying in a hotel (optional breakfast, housekeeping). It was very easy to travel to Split and Omis when needed, an Uber costs approx. €10 for two people into Split. I personally cannot wait to return. 10/10

When we arrived to the apartments we met Danijela, and were instantly made feel like we part of her family, she was so friendly and gave us loads of information how to get around etc etc and then she bumped us up to a better apartment!! It was fabulous!! We had a sea view and on the last day we got to see dolphins from it sitting on our balcony. The apartment was super clean, and modern! We had a fridge and a hob and all the utensils to go with it! There was a lovely big shower, and the water pressure was great too. The bed in the apartment was so comfy, we always got a great nights sleep!!! The location of the apartments are perfect, you are right on the beach, or if u want to go into split town or omis the bus stop is about a minutes walk from the apartment. On our last day, Danijela organized us a taxi to the airport, and while we waited gave us coffee tea and beer, all on the house!!! Danijela and her family were super hosts, we couldn’t thank them enough for our stay, we will defiantly be going back next year!!!

This property is a gem and we've had an amazing and relaxing time here .The resort is quiet so we could relax after days out sightseeing .Nearby restaurants are along the beach so we enjoyed our evening walks to them .Our apartment was nearest to the beach so we only had to go down 6 steps and we were on it .Sunloungers were free and readily available .The apartment was clean and totally adequate for our needs (even down to finally finding a property that had a socket under a mirror for styling my hair ! ) .Housekeeping took place on a daily basis. The bed was comfortable and a change to non allergic(non feather) pillows was organised quickly for us . Danielja has also been fantastic helping us with delays to our arrival which affected our booking with them due to the Thomas Cook crash and greeted us cheerfully on arrival even though it was late at night ! We would recommend this property to everyone and we would definitely come back here again .

Lovely family run business that couldn’t do enough for us, very helpful, they also have taxi . Bus right outside the door . This place is a little paradise, I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere else with a view and private beach like this, The receptionist marieanna was so kind to my father and looked after him very well. We loved the modern room which was very clean and had wonderful views across to Brac. The beach was private with free beds/parasols and I loved the canoe. The owners and staff make you feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We met several guests who were returning to the property as they loved it so much.! You can have breakfast if you like which was very nice or do your own thing!
We would love to return to this proprty and explore more of this wonderful country

We loved everything about are stay at Zanic Beachfront apartments. The service and greeting was first rate. The apartment was very clean and recently refurbished. The location was ideal for fast and easy transportation to the city and a grocery store just a 5 minute walk away. The beach was not crowded with plenty of lounge chairs. I would highly recommend Zanic beachfront apartment.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean, brand new, and modern. Beach chairs and sun umbrellas are available, which is a plus. There are available floaters and a kayak that my boys enjoyed. It is a quiet place that both families with children and couples can enjoy. Nearby restaurants are excellent and have a lot to offer. These apartments were in a great location just above the beach, with a staircase which led onto it. Sunbeds and umbrellas were provided which made the accomodation great for a relaxing beach holiday. There is a bus stop almost directly across the road which has bus services to Omis and Split for a very reasonable fare. There are two supermarkets in close proximity and a few restaurants along the beach (recommend Mario's pizza). The room was lovely; it had a king size bed, air-conditioning, TV with local channels and a modern bathroom. In addition we had a little balcony with a view of the sea. The only negative would be the noisy main road although it cannot be heard with the windows closed. The staff are great too and are happy to help with any questions! Definitely recommend.

This property is right on the beach ,the beach shingle and some stones ,The sea was crystal clear and great for swimming ,we stayed on the ground floor of the property,it was very nice ,We booked breakfast ,and every morning we had Jam ,honey ,bread ,Juice also a couple of eggs cooked how you wanted ,we also had Croissant and doughnut ,It was a great start to the day .

Very welcoming staff, studio room was spacious and bed very comfortable . Great breakfast. Parking on site is tight but free parking opposite. All wonderful but the shower arrangements need changing as you can bang your head on a tank and have to hold the shower head. Still recommend highly and this part of coast had locals and us quiet with no loud music but near Split and Trogir too. Loved the location by the beach and free sun beds with lovely water to swim in. Good restaurants within 109 m on the beach

The aprrment is about 20 minutes drive from Split. It is situated right by the seaside and perfect location for beach stay. As holiday season yet to start, we faced a small hiccup with hot water first night. But been resolved the next day. We are very happy with the hospitality Daniela and Echo have provided us. Stayed there for 6 nights, booked family apartment with 2 bedrooms which is actual much better than the photos on the website, the rooms are very comfortable and clean. We can stroll along the coast line for miles, and buy ice creams at a few shops. A bus stop to Split and Omis is just opposite the road running every 20 mins which is very convenient. The staffs are very friendly and made us feel welcome.

We were greeted with such a warm welcome by Daniella. Showed us around, made us coffee and made us feel at home straight away. We stayed in a ground floor apartment (No 1, I believe). Unfortunately, the trees blocked the view slightly and left the balcony in shade. However, we were on the great beach most the time, so wasn't a problem.
The apartment was pretty basic, but was clean and did the job. Comfy beds, and clean along with a bottle of wine thrown in. Nice touch.
Good location. Great restaurants a stroll away. Very peaceful, just the sound of the waves to wake up to.
A perfect hotel to re-charge those batteries. Thanks Hotel Zanic.

Good location, nice Family run accomodation!

This is my second stay at the Zanic, we had a top floor studio room, self catering, with a fantastic sea view looking over the island of Brac, and Split to the right
.The staff were very helpful, eager to please, and very friendly.Some elements could be modernised, such as the bathroom in our room.We travelled in September, and Podstana wasn't too busy, the area is not highly commercialised, with a few places to eat, and the beach! Overall, the Zanic is directly on the pebbled beach, and a fast moving road on the front of the building. It's location is ideal for getting around the 'Split' area of Croatia. The bus service goes one way to Split and from there, beyond to other towns and islands. Split being a port and of Historical and cultural interest. It's about half hour bus journey to a lovely town called Omis-definately worth a visit!
The buses run every half hour, and we found this ideal for us!

Great Find!!!

Stayed here for 10 days in September. Fantastic staff, made us feel so welcome like being with family. We had a budget room which was very nice and was spotless and with little extras. Wine in the room on arrival, fridge, kettle, slippers/dressing gown hair dryer. Nothing was too much trouble anything you asked for was sorted straight away. Staff always offering to make you tea and coffee when ever you wanted it. The apartments are right on the beach with sun beds and umbrella provided, it was never busy so always got a bed, we were out most of the time so only used beach a few times. Make sure you have beach shoes as the pebbles hurt. The water is so clean and with no current.
A couple of nice restaurants just a 5 minute walk away both served good food and were not over priced, roughly £25 for meal for 2 with drinks.

Bus stop a stones throw away, easy to get to Split and Omis. Omis is a must see visit.
Staff at the hotel were super friendly and always greeted us with a smile.
I would have loved some watersports but overall a lovely hotel with excellent views of the sea

Perfect place on the beach

Apartment was great clean and comfortable. Hosts were fantastic and we felt like we were at home. The location on the beach was spectacular 5 minutes either side to good restaurants. Also a bus stop to split city centre right across the road. Great value for money and I will definetely be back.

We were extremely pleased with our studio apartment. Fantastic sea view from our balcony. Nice restaurants nearby. Great location if you don't want to stay in the centre of Split and right on the beach. Owner was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the wifi didn't reach our room as we were at the top of the building, but could access it from the beach. An available iron would've been good too. But overall, definitely value for money, we had a really lovely holiday and we would stay here again.

Super friendly staff and very helpful. Room is very close to the sea. Basic room but 5 star location and service. Room has AC and cooking facilities. Free chairs on the beach. Groceries and ATM close. Several good restaurants close and on the water. Hotel is pet friendly.

Wonderful beachside apartment - highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the charming Zanic Apartments! It had a lovely, family feel, and we felt at home the moment we arrived. The owners made us fresh coffee and juice for the kids when we arrived, and showed us to our room and were really helpful. The apartment itself was perfect - beautiful sea views, great indoor space, fully equipped kitchen, and a really big, but safe, balcony (we were traveling with kids so it was really good to have a nice safe outdoor space!). The apartment were directly on the beach, and the sea was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for such a nice stay!!! We hope to return one day :)

Perfect base for an amazing holiday!

We booked Croatia as the first leg of a three country trip around Europe. From the moment we booked we had an email from Danijela, which was really nice. It set us at ease to ask about transfers from the airport and sights to see. When we arrived Danijela and her husband greeted us and took our cases to our room. There was bread and juice waiting for us - which was great after travelling quite late into the night. They had left us a complimentary bottle of red wine in the room and kept breakfast open the next day later for us, so we could sleep longer. The apartmants is family run and all family members are approachable and wonderful! Not all had as good English as Danjela but they went out their way to understand and help with anything, always polite and always happy!
Zanic is right on the beachfront with an amazing view. Although our room didn't open onto the beach ot didn't detract from any of its charm. The breakfast included was brilliant, such an array of foods to yourself every morning. We started the week with delish omelettes but finished with some of the best soft boiled eggs. There's no bar in the apartments but you are situated right between two supermarkets, we had a very active holiday and on a few occasions just relaxing after a long day out we'd take snacks and wine back and sit in the communal area. The rooms are small but very clean, the fridge is a good size so easy to store quite a few local wines and fruit juices in.

Convenient + overlooking the beach and sea

The owner Danyela's parents and grandmother run the apartments and they are so sweet and wonderful. There is no elevator so we had to bring in our luggage and walk down to our apartment. All apartments have a balcony where you sit over the beach and Adriatic. Danyela was a most gracious host and gave us wine to take to our room. She served us complimentary coffee and juice in the morning. The apartment is very reasonably priced and just off of D8 so it couldn't be more convenient.

Beautiful Place to Stay in Dalmatia

We spent 11 nights at the beginning of September at the lovely Pansion Zanic in the beautiful resort of Podstrana. The whole location and apartment are a real gem and the owners, Danielja and Iko, are two of the most lovely people that you could wish to meet, they were always so friendly and helpful and made our stay very special. The apartments are right on the beachfront and have all you need for a relaxing holiday and are kept very clean and you have regular changes of bed linen and towels. It is so relaxing to sit on your balcony and listen to the waves lapping on the beach. There are sun loungers and umbrellas for your use on the beach and the sea is lovely to swim in. If you like walking you can walk some distance in both directions along the beach side path.
There are four good restaurants in easy walking distance, three along the beach path and one just across the road and there is a supermarket across the road. The buses to Split and Omis stop very close to the Pansion and run on a regular basis. Split is a lovely place to explore and you need more than one day to do so, Trogir is another very pretty place to visit for a day either by bus or boat from Split.We also got up very early to get the catamaran from Split to Hvar Town which was worth the early start. The Roman ruins at Salona are also a lovely day out.
We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return to Pansion Zanic and this beautiful part of Dalmatia.

A home away from home. Made to feel welcome and special. Extremely helpful and interested in what we planned during our stay in Croatia. Genuine in sharing their space and home with us. Our family joined us after our arrival and our hosts accommodated the extra people without any hassles. We will be coming back again next year with more of our Whānau/ family from New Zealand/ Aotearoa.

We love Croatia

Fantastic! Location is great because we are right in the middle between Split and the beautiful town Omis. There are 2 shops/supermarkets and bus-stops conveniently located few steps away.

Our host, Daniela, made our stay at this hotel very pleasant. She and her husband and niece are very kind and nice people. They responded to our needs immediately always and even did our laundry! Thanks very much to you and your family, Daniela.

I would like to add that Croatia is a truly special place; it is not another 'globalised' country. You get to see and taste things only possible in Croatia which we appreciated very much. There were so much to see and do. We enjoyed in particular the Diocletian Palace in Split and the river rafting in Omis. Love the local wine (thanks, Daniela) and fresh fish and squid!

Great place to stay

What can I say this would have to be the best hotel we have stayed at for service we were greeted at the door shown around the hotel had our bags taken up to our room.Our hosts treated us like family explain all there is to see on Split and Trogir on great detail and how to get there by the bus that runs right past the hotel. The hotel itself is located right on the beach with a number of great beach front restaurants close by. The water is so clean and clear and the sunsets are magnificent.

Great location and wonderful hosts!

This is the perfect place to stay if you want a relaxing environment. It's right on the beach with lots of room to lounge about during the day.
Daniella and her husband are amazing hosts! Very helpful and informative.
I would recommend this place and if I'm ever back in Croatia I would stay there again!!
Easy busses into Split and a few good restaurants along the beach.

A little gem!

5star treatment by the staff. Very personal service and nothing is too much trouble. We booked a studio, and were upgraded for no other reason, than a bigger room was available. Huge balcony overlooking the water, with very comfortable bed. Kitchen well appointed if you wanted to self-cater. 13kms from Omis, and 7km from (a very overrated) Split.
Perfect for families. Excellent value for money. Direct access to very private beach.

lovely staff but hotel average

Hate to give a bad review as the staff were more than lovely and made us feel so welcome but the room we stayed in was uncomfortable, really small and the bathroom facilities were terrible (the handheld shower that could barely fit one person in being the main issue). The balcony was also tiny and could barely sit out on a night along with the aircon that leaked everywhere and was very noisy inside. The breakfast were nice and always given plenty of food. The staff were brilliant and couldnt praise them any more its just the room that let us down. From other reviews everyone liked there rooms so maybe it's just one room that lets the hote down.
