Unfortunately would not recommend this hotel. Located on a noisy street, rooms are not clean, and staff is not helpful. Booked a premium room with a double bed, and got stuck to a room with 3 twin beds. Also, electricity went out in the whole hotel for over 12 hours. We had to leave the hotel due to no electricity, and was asked why we were checking out early which seemed like a very obvious answer of why. Definitely do not recommend booking this hotel.

Pleasant stay with minor issues

I would like to thank the hotel staff for organizing the airport transfer — everything went smoothly and on time, which made our arrival in Istanbul much easier.

However, there was an issue at check-in: we were initially given a room of a lower category than the one we had booked. Fortunately, the staff quickly resolved the situation and moved us to the correct room without any hassle.

The room was clean, which we really appreciated, but the furnishings were quite dated and the space could definitely benefit from some renovation.

Overall, the service was friendly and helpful, and with some updates to the rooms, this hotel has great potential.

Nice hotel near the Galata bridge and tower. Safe and quiet area with lots of restaurants and cafes around. Rooms are extra tight/it felt like all bed. Was a fine accommodation for a few nights but the size was a turn off.

Rooms are too small. Elevator stopped working for 2 days and we had to walk all the way up to 3rd floor.

The good:

Location is very good
It's clean and fairly new
Very simple accommodations

The okay:
The standard rooms are very tiny, so you won't have a lot of room for you and your stuff. There is no closet, so you have to hang your clothes on the wall next to the bed, so pack light and try to bring small bags, because there is very little space in the actual room.

The not-so good:
Don't expect high-end service, it's a very basic hotel for a decent price. It's clean and well-kept, but don't expect any additional services other than a clean, well-located room.

If you have the money, stay at the Bank Hotel a few minutes away, you'll get nicer accommodations and excellent service. If you have a lower budget and just want a simple, decent, clean place to sleep, then stay here or the Triada nearby.

Convenient hotel for one night; unhelpful staff

Hotel is very nicely and elegantly decorated; both common areas and rooms.
It is conveniently located; close to Galata Tower and within a few minutes of walking from the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar.
Rooms were clean and seemed quiet for the one night we stayed. They are quite small, but acceptable; regarding space, the only problem is there is no room or space to open or unload the luggage. Ridiculously small closet space with only one hanger; which wasn't a big issue for us because we only strayed for one night.
Bed was comfortable. Wifi was OK.
Staff was polite, but wasn't very helpful; and communication with them is extremely difficult in more than one sense.
I exchanged emails with them to request transportation to and from the airport; and I had to repeat and clarify everything with each email because it seems they disregard the previous ones; even though every email was a reply to the previous ones. Besides time consuming and exhausting, they take forever to reply.
When we got to the hotel, and wanted to pay for the transportation service, they wouldn't let us pay with a credit card; they demanded cash. Even though I told them I didn't have cash, they said that I would have to go to the bank to withdraw some.
Trying to have a conversation was also a challenge. They hardly spoke a word or two of English. Thank God for Google Translate.

Our stay at Opale

The Location was excellent as we could easily go to various places by tram, train, bus, boat, Tunel... So Galata bridge, Galata tower, Eminonu, Bosphorous, Sultan Ahmed, Aya Sophia, Topkapi...Istiklal Street, Taksim Square, Grand bazaar ... all easily accessible/ some within walking Distance.

Service was excellent with friendly staff...Ahmet, Fatih, Serkan, Khalid and the manager. We had a small issue around our arrival date but that was amicably resolved.

A very basic breakfast is provided and Breakfast can be improved. Bigger variety of cereals and eggs. Tea / Coffee on tap. Complimentary water/tea/coffee in room and in the lobby.

A Carrafour minimarket was just around the corner which made buying small necessities very easy.

The very new neigbouring restaurant ... clean and lovely menu...reasonably priced. We thouroughly enjoyed their soups and kebabs!

We could also hear the Azaan from mosques.

Standard Rooms were a bit small and with luggage made movement in the room a wee bit uncomfortable.

We stayed in 6 different hotels in Istanbul and this was by far the best one in terms of amenities and location. Right in Karaköy minutes away from the tram, ferries, and high-end bars and restaurants. The hotel was beautifully decorated and looks completely new. Our room was small but modern and sleek with a waterfall shower. We spent most of our two days here walking around Istanbul and seeing the sites but this was such a treat to rest in. They offered a buffet breakfast in the morning that offered traditional Turkish options in their dining area, and you were welcome to sit and relax in the area throughout the day. Reception was helpful and arranged a 2am taxi pick-up for the airport last minute which was incredibly helpful. Would recommend and will definitely come back when I visit Istanbul again!

I stayed at the opale hotel in Istanbul for 4 days. A new hotel and in an excellent location. The staff are friendly . The rooms are small but clean , the bed is comfortable and the breakfast was ok.the WIFI was perfect.The only small issue is the shower place is very tiny which makes it hard to move around other than that everything was perfect . I would especially like to thank Mr. Iran for his help.

This place has Hilton class but half the price. Excellent location, a 2 minute walk to the bridge connecting you to the grand bazar. A short walk to taksim square and all it’s shopping. The staff are without a doubt the best I have come across. Nothing is an issue for them. I will recommend this place to all my friends.

The location of the property is decent...close to the Big Bus stop. I did not like the fact that some of the front desk attendants did not speak English. They also sent us to a restaurant on our first night that was overpriced and dupes tourists as we found out later.

Needs serious improvement – disappointing experien

Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing due to cleanliness and maintenance issues. Upon entering the room, I noticed hair in the shower, dirty marks on the floor, and a used item left behind — all clear signs that the room had not been properly cleaned before my arrival.

There were also visible signs of poor maintenance, such as loose fixtures and dusty areas. Although the front desk staff was not particularly polite or welcoming, the hotel manager did respond to our concerns and offered us a room change. Sadly, the second room was also not clean and even had cigarette butts left behind.

The hotel clearly needs renovation and, in its current condition, does not justify its high prices. I have stayed in many hotels across Istanbul, and unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience. I would not recommend this property to others.

Sonrasında 104 nolu odaya geçtik orda da dolap rafina bağlı olan mobilya parçası kopup başımıza düşüyordu can güvenliğimiz olmadığı için erken ayrıldık tavsiye etmiyorum.

erkek arkadaşımla iki gece konakladık, çarşafların üzerinde kıllar vardı bu biraz rahatsız edici. Bir de biz odada yokken oda temizliği istemiyoruz dememize rağmen odaya girilmiş. Arayıp uyardık çok mahcup oldular. Genel olarak otel ve konumu güzel. Ayrıca inanılmaz rahattı.

yerleştirildiğim ilk odanın kapı kolu elimde kaldı. resepsiyonla görüştüğümde durumdan haberdar olduklarını öğrendim, ısrarlı talebim üzerine odam değiştirildi. bilinen bir sorun belli ki giderilmiyor. ertesi gün arkadaşım da benimle konaklamak istedi. Ertuğrul bey, resepsiyon görevlisi kaba bir uslupla bizimle konuştu. kendisine bunu iyi niyetli bir dille belirtmemize rağmen rest çekici ifadelerle kabalığını sürdürdü. tekrar bu diyaloğa girmemek için bu otelde kalmam. civarda başka bir sürü benzer nitelikte otel var.

Wir haben das Opale Hotel für einen Städtetrip gebucht, da die Lage des Hotels als Ausgangspunkt optimal ist. Man kann viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen und hat eine super Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel.
Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, es ist modern ausgestattet und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser erstes Zimmer lag seitlich zur Straße und war leider etwas laut, da das Fenster nicht gut abgedichtet war. Auf Nachfrage durften wir das Zimmer wechseln, was super war.
Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder für einen Aufenthalt in Istanbul buchen.

It was an interesting experience.

They do not have netfix, rather they ask you to cast your phone to screen.

When we arrived all was good but the next day around morning, the bathroom smelt beyond horrible.

Balcony is good but if it rains, balcony becomes unusable next day because there are nothing to shield them.

Das Zimmer ist relativ klein, aber man kommt zurecht. Grundsätzlich ist das Zimmer sauber nur waren auf dem Teppich Haare, die nicht gesaugt wurden. Auf die Bitte den Teppich zu saugen, wurde das auch leider nicht gemacht so dass wir es selbst in die Hand genommen haben :) Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Hotel befindet sich an der Hauptstraße und die Lage ist perfekt, da öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, Cafés fußläufig erreichbar sind.

Odaların için koyu renkli dekor ve boyalar kullanılmış negatif bi enerji hissi veriyor. O kadar karanlık ki aynada kendimi göremiyordum ışıklarda sarı renkli aydınlatmıyordu bazıları da yanmıyordu. Lavabo kullanışlı değildi ve en kötüsü uykusuz kalma nedeni duş havalandırma veya klima sistemi sürekli çalışır durumdaydı sesli bi şekilde.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einer super zentralen Lage zum Galataturm, Eminönu sowie Galataport. Sowohl die Bahn als auch Essensmöglichkeiten findet man in wenigen Gehminuten. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Was die Sauberkeit jedoch angeht, waren wir leider nicht zufrieden. Die Zimmer wurden nicht wirklich gereinigt, lediglich der Mülleimer geleert und das Bett gemacht.

İstanbul merkezinde muhteşem bir deneyim

Odamızın konforu ve büyüklüğü çok iyidi.
Resepsiyonda destek veren Gökay bey her daim çok nazik, kibar, güler yüzlüydü. İşini layıkıyla ve sevgiyle yaptığı belli oluyordu. Tuttun bu insanı :-)
Temizlik görevleri de aynı güler yüz ve kibarlıkla çok memnun bıraktılar.

Otel aşırı merkezi. Her yere tramvay ve marmaray ile ulaşabilirsiniz. Karaköy tramvay istasyonu otelden 8-10 dkk arası. Marmaray istasyonu 15-20 dkk ama oraya giderken köprüden geçerken istanbul’un güzelliğini görebiliyorsunuz. Yakın olan mekanları zaten uygulamadan görebilirsiniz.

Oda temizliği ise iyidi.
Puan kırılacaksa duşa kabinin giderinden kırarım. Su hızlı akmıyor be birikiyor. Bu sorunu Gökay bey’e illettik ve ilgileneceklerini söyledi.

Çok memnun kaldım. Net tekrar gidip kalırım!

Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral. Wir konnten zu Fuß recht viel erreichen. Das Hotelzimmer waren etwas klein. Insbesondere der Service (Bekir & Kenan) waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns bei allen Angelegenheiten geholfen.
