There was a lack of cleanliness in the room there was mold, hairs stuck to the wall near the bed, curtains had all different stains on them, the walls were dirty, the bathroom had hairs all over the shower, the bed covers had stains, there were dust all on the head rests above the bed, the staff tried to clean it but it still looked the same after.

Not clean at all, first thing. Inside draws was filthy, no mattress or pillow protectors, mattress stained and filthy, walls and units filthy. Curtains hanging of the rails. Suspicious stains on wall behind headboard. Stains inside of the bath. Tiles no grouted properly. Floorboards creeked. Outside door sensor light in main hall way came on ever time you walked to the bathroom. Net curtains hanging on by a thread. Door wouldn’t shut to the bathroom, you had to lift it and pull it to the left to close it properly. Every time you flushed the toilet there was a loud noise when the water was filling back up. Bed broke, headboard broke and the worst sleep ever. Mould in bathroom. Main hall way smelt like fish. Staff were ok when we saw them. Carpet was torn in the bedroom. Hotels in Blackpool are a better standard.

Room was ok. Apparently they accommodate homeless people. This was very evident with the bouse of people shouting to ithers through their room walls, banging on walls. All males aporox 5, shouting etc. A nale entered ny bedromm just after midnight, using nt door code. As a lone female traveller I was petrifued and fod not sleep for the rest of the evening, as the maoes wrre in and out of each others rooms using the codes and at any moment I thought someone was gping to come into my room again. Absolutely awful.

The room was very dated, and very small. Took me 10 minutes to get the shower to the right temperature, and water pressure very poor. The view outside the only window where the car park was, was terrible, litter all over the place, and in an enclosed area was a very big pile of rubbish, was an eyesore and disgusting.

The room was in the basement and cold as a meat locker. Desk staff had to bring a portal heater. No control on temps as system is automated to run for a bit and then shut off. Tiny room with terrible beds. Lift out of order. We had a family emergency and had to leave early and they refused to give a refund (as was prepaid) even though the front desk staff said they'd do what Expedia said / asked.

Room was okay could have been cleaner, furniture had seen better days but the bed was comfy. The room was cold with radiators on full there was no heat coming out. Staff were friendly checked us in we went to room but it was still occupied we went back to the reception and the rectified this and moved us to a new room within 10minutes.

Got to stay 4 day's and is November time , must say the room was kept quiet warm especially at nights that the temperature dropped.
Over all had a good experience with very helpful staff.
The was breakfast included on my stay but i was too lazy to get up in the mornings 😁 , but the option was there if i wanted.
I do raccomend this hotel. Is good value for money.

Room was badley laid out for a family very small bathroom had remains of tablet packets on the floor that my 5 year old found when I messaged about complimentary breakfast they advised they couldn’t find my booking I have stayed before and thought it was ok for the money but not this time curtains were hanging down very grotty won’t be staying there again any time soon

Blood up the steps as you walk in, approximately 30 bags of rubbish to the rear of the property. I stayed for 2 nights and left. Would not recommend. Id ideally like a refund but doubt theyd accommodate that.

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The hotel is beautiful. Very clean. The beds were unbelievable comfy, best 3 nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. I stayed there with my two children and we will definitely be returning.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking. The suite we were staying in, was on the top floor, had good size rooms and nice bathroom. Fridge, plenty of teas and coffees and toiletries available. Clean bedding and towels.
Unfortunately room was full od dust and cobwebs, there was no bulb in a floor lamp and no tea spoons only soup spoons - all of it did not affect our stay. We had a lovely time at Oyo Ivy Hotel

Reviews are bad but that wasn't my overall experience, overall it was ok. For the price I paid I really have no complaints. It's a cheap budget hotel in a cheap seaside town, we went for a night away before the kids went back to school & this place was perfectly ok for this. It's old, in need of decoration & updating all round. Cleanliness could be better, but bathroom was clean, as was the bedding & towels. The lady at reception was great, friendly & very willing to help, she is a credit to the hotel & elevated the experience by just being nice & helpful. Breakfast was a surprise, not advertised as included but they provided cereals, yogurts & toast with tea, coffee, fruit juices for free, very simple but was kept stocked up by the same lady & again as above totally unexpected & free! Maybe we got lucky with the room (302) compared to other reviews, but I went with low expectations, knowing I had booked a very cheap place so that we could spend more on ice creams and having fun & this place done it's job. Location is excellent, literally a few mins walk to the pier, parking is available & I was allowed to leave my car there the day I checked out until before 2pm so again another perk & saves on parking. Reviews referring to a club next door are misleading, it's a members style working mans club & my window was directly next door & had no issues with noise etc. Wouldn't I rush back to stay, but i would go back. Slightly better cleaning & do the place up & could be a real gem.

3 stars is a fair score for this hotel in Skegness. On our arrival we were confronted by a door, with a piece of paper taped to it, with phone number attached and a message that read. \"Arrivals call number\", so we called and were told the door was open. We were met at the reception by a lady who was initially very matter of fact. She did in fairness become more pleasant as our stay went on, (as a side note exceot breakfast this lady was the only staff member we saw during our visit). The room locks are unique. You wave your hand across a digital panel, a screen with numbers on appears and you enter a code given to us on a postit note by the lady at reception. On entering the room was nothing like what was advertised. It was small and looked out onto the tiles of a roof that had clearly been sprayed with weedkiller looking at the state of weeds. The back panel was off the door lock was midsing, so we could see the batteries. The tea and coffee was minimal, and the whole hotel looked like it needed a good clean. It was not filthy, just untidy and we never saw a cleaner or any staff during our visit. The breakfast is free, albeit minimal, toast and a selection of cereals, juice and coffee, but it is free. The shower was good and the bathroom was tidy. The bed was comfy, a bit rickety but we slept well. I feel that if the lady we saw is the only member of staff except for the young lady at breakfast then she has her work cut out. Good for a short break or long weekend.

The room I paid for was not given on arrival. The manager was argumentative when spoken to, and didn't care. She had a pull over dressing gown on and shades. The room was dirty, nowhere for clothes to be hung although wardrobes shown on photos, no hot water in shower, bathroom disgustingly dirty, TV didn't work, no Netflix like advertised (photos taken of the entire stay at the hotel to show this) The door plate had broken glass hanging out and the vending machines where completely empty. it was an absolute shambles...

To be honest on arrival, from the outside we wasn't expecting much. But as I've always been told \" never judge a book by it's covers\" the hotel lobby and the downstairs were very pleasing on the eye.... We had a standard double suite, and on opening the door, loved it, it's was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom.... What can I say a double shower and a extra large bath! The bed was comfortable,the price we paid for what we got were very acceptable, then there was the additional bonus of a free breakfast. I have read quite a few reviews for this hotel and personally cannot understand where you are coming from. We have booked for Christmas

It’s a bit tired & needs updating. I couldn’t use the shower without holding it in my hand & laying it in the bath while I washed myself. We had to go up a few steps to our room & the carpet was awful. Wouldn’t stay again.

Me and my husband stayed overnight in Skegness while visiting a friend who lives near by . I chose the hotel because of private parking . However if it was full to capacity and everyone had a car there would be nowhere near enough room . A sign in the door was offering rooms for £35 and that’s about right. ( for us this was a free night from hotel.com ) The bed was extremely uncomfortable . Very low and a mattress that was more like a trampoline ( and not much thicker ) with a dip in the middle . No bedside lamps, hand towels , or bath mat for outside the shower. On a positive note the room and bathroom , although in need of a little tlc were clean , and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the Main Street on the front, with restaurants and pubs nearby . The gentleman who greeted us was extremely friendly, polite . This is not the best place we have stayed in , but it is also not the worse . For youngsters who just want a place to crash after a night out , it is probably ideal . Alas not so ideal for a semi retired couple .

It was hard to find and get inside to be honest, the host was really welcoming and carried our stuff up to the room, the room itself was tidy clean bedding, bathroom had water marks all over the walls needs a good paint in there and shower bottom was off also tv didn’t work due to rubbish aerial no bar open no reception after 10 just a mobile number to call very expensive for what we got won’t be back much cheaper and better quality elsewhere

The staff (Manichander and Faisal) were really co-operative and polite.
I came to the hotel after working a night shift at 8:30am and requested Manichander at reception to let me check in early as I needed to sleep.
He understood and allocated a room to me.
These little things mean a lot in customer service.

Thank you for keeping such lovely staff. I'd definitely refer my friends to this hotel. Cheers!
