Wonderful experience as one would expect from an Oberoi flagship. These days, too many hotels of this calibre tend to cater primarily to a business clientele and disappoint in terms of quality of breakfast, gym facilities, and overall hospitality. It was reassuring to see Oberoi being an excepetion to this trend.

Staff were so helpful and friendly and added to the overall quality of the stay. A highlight was the breakfast each morning with the quality of food and attention to detail of the staff. Location of the hotel is very good, close to the main attractions and we loved the pool. We couldn't fault our stay and would gladly return to the Oberoi.

Breakfast was nice, had to order hot food from the vast menu, which I feel was a good idea as we can get freshly prepared food from the kitchen. Check in and check out process was super fast, directly walked up to the room, no waiting. Excellent concierge and staff attitude as always.

This is a perfect 10/10. The most amazing staff, fantastic breakfast, in door dining was the best experience. The ambience and cleanliness is unparalleled. For me the Oberoi is truly the best hotel in Mumbai. I will continue to return. Great location . Ocean view suites are gorgeous. Was excited to continue my 50th birthday celebrations here.

Our stay at The Oberoi Mumbai was an absolute delight, an experience marked by elegance, serenity, and truly exceptional service. Nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel felt like an oasis of calm, a peaceful, refined escape amidst the vibrant buzz of Mumbai.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for by the outstanding team. A special thank you to Priya at the front desk, who checked us in so graciously and set the tone for a wonderful stay. She also took us to our room and checked us in there. Our room was decorated with flowers and balloons and the bed also had throws and cushions saying Happy Birthday. She then ordered us tea and coffee and that cake with the most delicious cake and cookies . Thank you for organising that for us and it was thoroughly enjoyed.

Oberoi is my favourite hotel on earth

Exceptional service and an indulgent stay in Mumbai

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Oberoi Mumbai. Having previously stayed at the Oberoi in Delhi, we knew there was nowhere else we’d rather be for our time in the city — and it didn’t disappoint.
•The service was, as always with Oberoi, outstanding — the best we’ve experienced across any hotel chain.
•We were checked in directly in our room, which was made available early (around 11am) — a thoughtful touch that made our arrival seamless.
•Breakfast was a daily highlight, with an extensive à la carte menu and something for every palate.
•The gym and spa facilities were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our massage.
•While the pool is on the smaller side, it still offers a relaxing escape from Mumbai’s heat.

A note of caution: the hotel transfers are very expensive (~£100), especially compared to booking a large Uber (~£10). There are likely more reasonable options in between.

All in all, a truly memorable stay. We’re still dreaming of the scent of those beautiful bathroom products. Highly recommend.

Outstanding stay at the Oberoi Mumbai

The stay was truly amazing. The staff were so welcoming and always willing to go the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable.
I had a problem with my suitcase zip. The hotel sent a man to fix it. Amazing, now no stress about a broken suitcase.
The bar is amazing too, well staffed and great selection of drinks.

The gym is well equipped. I am into weight training. Certainly didn’t disappoint.

The pool at the Oberoi and the Trident were both great too.

The service at Oberoi is warm and attentive. English is well spoken. The hotel public spaces are breathtaking and serene. My room had a beautiful view. At the outside bar, sunsets and cocktails were brilliant. Early in the morning, it was nice to cross the street, Marine Drive, to sit on the seawall and watch the day begin. Many joggers, yoga, strollers.

The staff at this hotel were superb, especially Mallika and Nabeel. Very helpful booking dinner reservations (Trishna is a must), as well as guides and drivers, airport transportation, etc. And, they accommodated us for a late breakfast even though they had finished serving.

Our room was well appointed with a separate living room area and it overlooked the bay. Very comfortable. You must get a cocktail for happy hour at their outdoor bar - pretty views! The sister hotel, The Trident, is next door and as a guest at The Oberoi, you have access to their amenities as well... a big pool, workout room, and spa. Had a nice massage there too.

Overall, I highly recommend The Oberoi!

We booked airport transfer through the hotel as we were arriving in the early hours, it was a little expensive at just under £100 (when you compare other options) but was very efficient & the driver was waiting for us in a Mercedes, it was worth it for peace of mind after a long flight
Excellent check in even though we arrived at 2am
There is a small pool at the hotel but you can also use the larger pool in their sister hotel next door in the Trident
The hotel is a good location, quiet & safe, away from the bustle of Colaba but also accessible to main areas with on foot or cheaply in an uber & its good to have electric options
We took an uber electric which we called from the hotel for our return journey to the airport, was a smooth easy journey & cost around £10

A True Luxury and Oasis in Mumbai

I stayed at the Oberoi two times in a two week period upon arrival and departure in India. The first stay was the perfect landing into the country after a 23 hour journey. The staff was welcoming and helpful after such a long time. The room was luckily upgraded and we entered into a true sanctuary. Everything is immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious. It's a nice walk to the sea for sunset and close to cool shopping like Kala Ghoda and Colaba. It's quiet and beautiful. The staff was all extremely helpful with my severe seafood allergy and made me feel confident and attended to.

We loved our first stay so much that we canceled our other reservation in Mumbai for the end of the trip and rebooked at Oberoi. And it did not disappoint

A stay you won't want to leave.

Everything from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave is top notch. The staff is exceptional and when I told them about my severer seafood allergy they took excellent care to make me feel comfortable with the food. The bathrooms are luxurious and it felt like an oasis from the chaos of Mumbai. The fact that you can walk and see sunset on the Bay is an added Bonus

Second trip to the Oberoi in 2 years. They were great but starting to slip in areas. The food in the main restaurant is below average for what you pay, the pool service is okish, lots of staff looking at the phones all the time . I did have a quick chat with management who said they were going to email me and they have not , kind of tells me what I needed to know ! I was going to to use them for my in-laws trip but have now booked them for elsewhere. Still nice place and some good staff, just slipping a bit.

We had a great experience staying at the hotel. The level of service at the hotel is very high, and restaurants are fantastic. The best part is the hotel has a system that keeps the air pollution to a minimum level inside.

We had a wonderful but polluted view of the water from our room and the skyline on the other side of the water is excellent when you could see it.
