It was good only a few service issues I faced.

During my hotel stay, they wanted to fix the drainage issue. so I need to allow them for 10-15 min in my room.

I requested for hair dryer 3-4 times but they said we will send you but they did not. That was too bad

Rude staff and not worth it.

Hotel staff is very rude and cruel, particularly in the morning shift ladies is very cruel. The hotel is not up to the mark for the charge they are asking. Hotel’s restroom is too small for a person to be comfortable. In short, it is not worth it.

A comfortable stay and great location

Suncity Apollo is situated in Colaba, a touristy area. It’s very close to Gateway of India and many other tourist sites. Also, many restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, and Smart Market are very nearby. The breakfast is decent but the breakfast room can feel a bit cramped at times (weekend). The staff are very friendly and helpful. When, I pass by Mumbai again, I will stay at Suncity Apollo.

Have stayed here many times. It is well priced for it's excellent location. Behind the famous Regal Cinema, 2 mins walk to Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway nearby. The room they initially gave me was not the best but when I asked they moved me to a much nicer room so all is forgiven. The old boys that open the door and deal with luggage are darlings, do please tip them. Also the chubby friendly bloke who run the restaurant. The boys who clean, carry and do all odd jobs are also very obliging and nothing is too much trouble. It's probably in need of a little bit of a glam up but for the price and it's position in Bombay it's great value.

Try the Salvation Army Guest House first

This hotel was our second choice for place to stay in Mumbai. We were there for a total of two nights separated by a couple of days while we visited Goa.
It has a great location but the hotel itself is not great value for the price. The reception staff seemed uninterested in us and not proficient in knowing about our booking on line. One morning after an overnight train jouney we arrived for our booking at 6 am and had to wait for our room to be made up - even though we had prepaid it for the night before. There was no excuse for the room not to be ready for us irrespective of the time of our arrival.
Several requests were met scornfully ( ie late check out). Breakfast was unimpressive. 5 staff escorted us to our room...we only needed one at most. Doorman was the best feature.
Next time I visit, I think I will stay at the Salvation Arm guest house half a block away!

This hotel looks nothing like these pictures. Not sure how they managed to make it look so clean and modern. It is dirty, old, and rundown. The windows were broken, the walls and counters were chipped, the sheets had stains, the bathtub had a bucket in it which I think we were expected to use to bathe with. The lobby was filled with people and dozens of suitcases to the point it was difficult to walk around. The walls were filthy. Needless to say, we left right away and found another hotel. Very misrepresented on this website and not deserving of the price.

Great location but...

The hotel location is great, unfortunately it doesn't balance with the comfort (noisy neighbourhood due to poor quality of the double glazing window, noisy A/C as well). Moreover, there was dust on the bed and the bad smelling of the bedroom (wet?). Last bad point is the A/C has fell down during the 1st night, the good news is they swapped my room. The overall is not so good even for a last minute booking.

Location is great, the rest not so much.

For the price charged, it's bordering on absurd what you get at this hotel. The location is superb, the bed was comfortable enough and there was a flat-screen TV - but that's about as far as one can go in terms of the positives.

There are no non-smoking rooms in the hotel and the hotel staff had hidden small white urinal cakes in various places in the room (bathroom sink, corner of bathroom behind the toilet and two in the cupboard) in order to cover what I can only imagine was a more heinous smell. The room itself was not in the best state either - paint chipping off the walls, lots of rust/decay on the bathroom sink.

A breakfast buffet was supposed to be served until 10.30 AM. I arrived at 10 sharp to find barely any food left. When I asked the waiter if I could get an omelette and some parathas, I was told that I would have to wait until these were refilled. After half an hour (and several complaints from myself and other guests - without results), we were informed that the buffet was closing. After some of the other guests started yelling in protest, we finally got some food around 10.45. Aside from this waiter, the other hotel staff were friendly enough.

Don't stay here unless it's a last resort.

Good Location a little worn but they do try

The staff were always very helpful and courteous, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the gateway of india. I thought the hotel was clean (for a hotel of this class). They have tried to make themselves more upmarket but the finishing touches just aren't quite their yet. Free WIFI was good I enjoyed the breakfasts and complimenty paper.

Great location close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The TV is programmed to receive only Arabic language channels. I can't speak Arabic so couldn't watch TV. But that's ok because there are so many ways to enjoy Mumbai; no point sitting inside and watching TV.

There was a cockroach in our bathroom sink to welcome us. The shower flooded every single time and the toilet kept getting stuck on flushing. The bed sheets were covered in stains. However the cleaners and bell boys were extremely helpful and lovely. Unlike the concierge who tried to tell us that our hotel room was unavailable when we arrived as the previous guest wanted to stay an extra night even though we had paid in advance. He tried to move us to another hotel in Mumbai however we simply refused after our long travels so we had to wait until they found another available room within the hotel. Despite all this the location was great, easy to walk to any sight seeing spots, restaurants and cafes.

The hotel is OK. The rooms are fine. Its pretty clean. The breakfast is terrible. Had to go elsewhere to eat breakfast which is fine because there are a few good places nearby. The price of this hotel is way too high for the quality. Its actually the same quality as other hotels in India that I paid half the price for. BUT, the location is great if you want to be where all the action is. If location out ways quality for you, then this is a great pick for you.

Nice Hotel with very nice staff

Had a nice stay at hotel Apollo, the staff were very nice and very helpful. Hotel is clean the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable, location is excellent right in the heart of Colaba, will definately stay here again when I go back to Mumbai.

For a last minute booking, this was an okay hotel. The bathroom is far too small for a Westerner. Would not recommend this hotel for this reason only. If looking for triple occupancy, this hotel has a nice cul de sac for a third person.

Will recommend it to all my friends!

The service and assistance by the staff were outstsanding! Everybody was so friendly and seemed happy and proud to work there. The location can not be better! We had a lovely room at the back and it was so quiet, slept well every evening. Will recommend this hotel to everyone that goes to Mumbai!

Good location but a bit tired

The location of this hotel is good.Facilities are a bit tired but still comfortable and staff do try hard with what they have to work with.Noisy at, times properly sealed windows would have reduced traffic noise.Breakfast could be improved to suit western taste .

Close to Gateway of India, Great Hotel

I stayed here in April, then came back a second time. This hotel is right next to the Gateway of India and the Colaba shopping street. I would highly recommend this hotel because of everything you get for such a reasonable price. The rooms are big and spacious, there is free wifi in lobby and rooms which is always a plus for me. There is also a free breakfast buffet every morning. The people at the front desk and the doorman are really nice and helpful. I will always stay at this hotel when I come to Mumbai.

Next to Gateway of India

I really loved this hotel. This hotel is right next to the Gateway of India and the ocean, also the next street over is the Colaba Causemay which is a great street market that has all kinds of stores to stop by and then vendors selling cool gifts. The hotel provided a free breakfast which was good and they had free internet in the rooms which is why I booked this hotel. The front desk people were really nice and hopeful and the door people were also nice and helpful. There is a grocery store across the street on the corner of the opposite street of the hotel which was great for what we wanted to buy. The room we had was big with a nice king bed and wonderful view. I will stay here next time I come to Mumbai.

Pleasant stay! Great location!

After a long and tiring trip through India, my husband and I decided to splurge on a nice hotel in Mumbai before flying home. I'm so glad that we chose Hotel Apollo. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location (in the Colaba neighborhood) is close to most of the tourist sights, with great restaurants and shopping near by. I would stay here again!

This hotel is relatively expensive but so are most of the three star hotels in Mumbai. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is it's wonderful location. You are an easy 600 metres from the Gateway to India which in my opinion is the heart of Mumbai. You can easily get to The Taj and to Elefanta island. The surrounding area- for India- is fantastic as the traffic does not travel on the footpaths , there are curbs and traffic lights. It is easy to walk around.
The room is adequate with A/C and cable TV and a good wifi. Breakfast is good also.
I could not work out why there were mothballs in the bathtub and a few spread round the bathroom floor. The odour of these is quite revolting.

Walking distance from market and must see sights

Overall the hotel was good. On arrival there was a confusion with the booking and to how many nights we were staying but this was sorted out. Had 2 double rooms one of the newer design, tv 's didnt work initially but were fixed promptly. Bed linen and towels were clean, there seem to be there odd ants that kept appearing on the side bed and the room and bathroom had a very strong smell of mothballs. The hotel location is very good as its not far from the markets and the sea. Dont expect a good nights sleep until after 3am as the people of bombay are awake al hours with them talking shouting and the sounds of horns were at its fullest until 3am. When ordering from the bar there seems to be so many taxes added which really pushes up the price, only bad thing about the hotel was breakfast. Even though its a buffet there isn't much choice or quantity available and the strangest combinations.

Perfect location and very helpfull staff!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was exactly what we were looking for! The rooms were not big and there was some small staints on the bedsheets but except for that everything was great! Comfy bed, clean bathroom, pretty quiet in the room, nice breakfast, fantastic staff and absolutely perfect location!

I totally recommend this hotel to all guests except for those who expect the very very best - in that case, try Taj mahal, we had a look at it and it looked absolutely great!

Great location and staff

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and shopping. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, including down the street from the Gateway to India and the Taj hotel. The room wasn't the best, but it was mostly clean (the sheets and towels were a bit stained) and there was a funny odor, but that cleared itself up for the most part by the second day. There were three of us and there was a sofa/chair that converted into a bed that was very comfortable. They did charge us extra for a third person. Overall, really enjoyed our time in Mumbai and the location and customer service of the hotel outweighed the shortcomings of the room itself.

if there is available room the most well priced and convenient hotel of colaba

I have stayed at the apollo hotel whenever i visited bombay ,for the past 20 years and more,rooms are not always available,it is centrally located and clean.it was renovated or started to be renovated in the past 20 years or more,it has a large number of clients from arabia and staff speaks english as well as arabic maybe other languages too.breakfast included in room price,it is a decent meal,and the restaurant has been renovated..it is pleasant can become better .this hotel is always improving and they do not ask for tips and do not bother people with their wants as some other hotel employees do.most of the staff has been with the hotel for years.i would recommend apollo.also its rooms are fairly large for the price one pays compared to the other colaba hotels and the furniture is clean and well maintained..the bathroom has a bath tub and the room has windows have a street view or side view.i definitely recommend apollo for its location and convenience and helpful and discreet staff..

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. The location is perfect! The staff was very friendly and also helped us find our way around Mumbai. The rooms are not shinny and new, but the beds are comfortable and the AC/ceiling fan was great! Colaba is the perfect place to stay for a traveler and there are tons of good restaurants (Ali-Babas is a must) around as well as walking distance to the Gateway to India, boats to Elephant Caves, and Taj Hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Great location, lovely employees.

Great location near National Gallery of Modern Art and Regal Cinema, at a three-minute walk from Gateway of India. Lovely and friendly yet respectful employees who make efforts to make your stay comfortable. AC is quiet and efficient. I would have liked a shower curtain, as the floor is not separated between the shower and toilet, leaving whole bathroom floor always wet. Breakfast is tasty but lacks varieties.

Not a great experience

We were assigned to a small room which was not nice and the next day we were switched to a better room. The breakfast can be improved, so busy, your clothes smell oil after the breakfast. This should be changed. The room was so loudly, window is not good and all the noise comes inside. It should be cheaper based on this quality.

Not so valuable hotel.

It does not have any merit except accessibility of TAJ hotel and gateway of India.

It has shown that they prepare bathtub, but it is not available in room.
And there is no tooth brush in the room even though its cost is more than
$100.

Bedclothes are not comfortable as well. I feel it presses me so strongly.
Morning is started from 8 a.m. It was not so good for such as me(traveler).

If you want to choice this hotel, i strongly recommend to stay another hotel.(frankly speaking i want to stay TAJ, but it was full booked.)

コラバ地区の便利なリッチのホテル。ただ施設が値段相応かは疑問。

【立地は満足】
・インド門から徒歩数分の立地。
　インド門周辺からはエレファンタ島への船も出ているので、観光には便利。
・ムンバイの主要駅であるCST駅からは徒歩25分程度。タクシーを捕まえればすぐに利用できます。
・周辺にはガイドブックに掲載されているレストランも多く食事にも不便しません。

【施設はいまいち】
・wifiは各部屋で無料で利用可能ですが、回線速度は遅く、切れることもあり。
・ドアが薄いのか廊下の音が漏れてくるので落ち着かない。
・バスルームはやや古めかしさあり。
