Beautiful large clean bedrooms with great views of Mumbai. Modern large bathrooms. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Great location. Lovely buffet breakfast with a good selection. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.

I enjoyed my three night stay at Hotel President. The property is well maintained and my room was very comfortable and the staff pleasant. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. There are three main restaurants and a bakery/ coffee shop. I ate at the Italian and Indian restaurant.

Some places are walkable or a short taxi ride away. There is a Metro station close by but I did not use it.

One of the questions Expedia asked was about the ocean view from my balcony. I did not have a balcony or an ocean view. I did have a comfortable suite with a nice city view. It’s possible that some rooms have an ocean view and/ or a balcony but I am not certain of this.

We had a great stay at President, Mumbai and would definitely recommend it.

The staff provided excellent service — everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was also very good, with plenty of fresh and tasty options each morning.

We really enjoyed our king room with an ocean view. It was comfortable, clean, and the view made it extra special.

The location isn’t the best for shopping or restaurants within walking distance, so we used Uber to get around most of the time. It was easy enough, though.

Overall, my partner and I had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Staff was extremely courteous. Since my stay included breakfast, this hotel serves the best breakfast spread and the serving staff is very responsive as well.
The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms don't have closet space so no matter how many number of nights you are staying with them, you have to live out of your suitcase, which is not my style - and for those who don't care about this - I would highly recommend this hotel.

Premium sea view room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good and managed well unlike other big hotels where breakfast is usually a chaos. All the restaurants in the Hotel are fantastic. Last but not the least the Cuffe Parade Metro Station right outside is so convenient. It’s ideal to travel to the Airport, Bandra and so many other places without the hassle of getting taxis and being stuck in traffic.

Friendly staff, great location. Aqua Metro is right opposite to the hotel which can take you towards north Mumbai on the way passing thru important location. Complimentary breakfast is ok. Konkan cafe at the hotel offers goan and malabar cusine. To summarize I will stay at this location in future if opportunity comes my way.

Terrible experience at this hotel. We had booked a premium sea-view room expecting a quality stay, but nothing about the room or service felt premium. When we arrived late at night, we were not welcomed with drinks or water, which is standard for ICHL hotels. Our original room, 1715, had a bathroom door that hit the toilet and barely opened. The space was small, basic, and certainly not worth 300 CAD. It did not reflect the ICHL brand at all.After complaining, we were moved to another room on the same floor, essentially identical except for the bathroom issue. There was no apology, no assistance with our bags, and definitely no 5-star service. We requested a second key and never received it. Several plugs didn’t work and the bathroom glass cups were stained.At breakfast, when my mother Neetu asked for tea, the server told me to get it myself, even though I saw other servers bringing tea and coffee to guests. Many food items were cold, and fresh pao took over 20 minutes.At checkout, I spoke with the Manager on Duty, Alapan, who apologized, assured me he would address the issues, and offered compensation. We agreed on a complimentary ride and use of the lobby later in the day.When we returned, everything was fine until a staff member named Sonum approached me for leaning on my mother, telling me to “sit up straight,” even though a man nearby had his bare feet up on the table. When I asked for her name, she laughed with colleagues and offered no apology. We will not be returning

The stay didn't get off to a promising start. Two e-mails to the hotel's Reservations Dept went answered so i had to book the hotel through Hotels.com.
I didn't get offered a drink while I was waiting to check in.
On the plus side, the senior managers, Alapan and Prasad, were courteous and helpful and they're both a credit to the hotel.
The rooms were comfortable as usual and the food was of a high standard. Rajshree at Tratorria continues to bright one's morning with her cheerful demeanour.
Bellboys and concierge were very helpful.

Having stayed at Taj properties many times, we were slightly disappointed for not having our room ready upon arrival even though check in is 2pm. We had to wait nearly an hour or so. Being such a caliber of hotel, we would not expect this. For breakfast as well there was an influx of people and we had to sit outisde.
I believe the staff is friendly but service in my eyes was not to par. I have stayed at many of your properties and would expect nothing but excellence in Mumbai as well

Had a wonderful short stay at The President in Colaba. The hotel was beautiful and stylish, though slightly more dated than some of its peers (Taj, Trident, etc.). Had an upscale luxury feel to it, but with nice splashes or Indian culture and aesthetics. Room service was excellent. I was a bit disappointed with the surroundings— lots of construction so I didn’t the feel that I was hoping for, especially being so close to the sea and to the historic Colaba area. But that’s not the hotel’s fault. Overall, a great stay and I’d highly recommend The President

This has always been my goto hotel in South Mumbai. Quiet, convenient, great service and pleasant rooms. The Niumad (sp?) at the Business Centre was extremely helpful with our need for shipping and packaging of stuff. Till next time.
Albeit, some confusion as i has settled full bill the night before, early morning i was asked to settle for an additional breakfast which they had seemed to has an error in their system. I refuses to pay as all bills were settled. Their error. A bit surprising.

At first there were some hiccups. This property has nondraqers to move your stuff into. This we have not seen even on tier two hotels. The front office duty mamager rectified this situation in 24 hours. After that the service was excellent.
For those visiting from US, the sockets in the property dont worl well. Please check to make sure yoir gadgets are charging and dont assume that they are just because they are plugged in.

Too guests for the size of the facilities. Chaotic mess at breakfast buffet. Traffic always backed up at driveway access. Service impossible to get at front desk. Beds are not comfortable. Room was not as clean as other IHCL property we stayed in India.

High quality stay in South Bombay

Great stay, lovely breakfast. Super helpful staff. I had some electrical noise in my room in the middle of the night - the staff made another room for me to sleep without any questions asked or hassle. The training and grooming of the staff shines through in every aspect of the hotel.

Disappointing stay at what was once an IconicHotel

The President Hotel was one of the most popular and well run business hotels in South Mumbai, having stayed their for decades. Im afraid the current avatar ; \"IHCL Selections\" is far from what it was from my last stay. We had reserved a Premium Room and the hotel room, though renovated, is NOT A PATCH on what they were earlier. There is no Couch, rather an \"extremely uncomfortable\" BENCH with coushins. No Coffee Table. There is a Study Table, BUT NO CHAIR. Even if there was a chair, it would be of no use as there is a Mini Bar fridge below the table. I can go on but what is most disappointing was that there is No Feel of Comfort in the rooms anymore. The services have also dipped, new staff with older staff moving on, l guess. However they seemed ill trained, with Thai Pavillion being the exception; the service in this restaurant was up to the mark; friendly & efficient staff. We had requested for a reservation at the Thai Restaurant to the front desk staff, apparently they forgot to communicate it to the restaurant staff; very disappointing!! All I can say that this hotel was once the pride of South Mumbai business travellers and an Icon, but in its current avatar, it needs much to be desired from. I dont think we will be coming back to stay here again, Sadly!!!

Staff here are really nice but as a place to stay it’s not a good choice. Hotels forget their main service is to provide a place for people to sleep - which is almost impossible here. Thin segmented curtains mean light streams through windows all night, the room is full of LED lights, some which flash through the night, and the illumination from the outdated control panel (why in 2024 do you have this?) adds to this. Left the room each morning at 6am with a sign on the door for housekeeping to come in - this never happened and returned in the afternoons to an unserviced room with no fresh amenities added. I would go elsewhere, especially for the price.

I only stayed for one night, but the hotel definitely has a great luxury feel. The staff was very helpful and kind. I wish I could have stayed longer and used the amenities, but I picked this hotel due to it's location to Gateway of India. It's only a short distance to most of the popular attractions. Also, a friend came to meet me for dinner, and we dined in at one of the hotel's restaurants. Unfortunately, we didn't have reservations so we had to sit in the lobby, but the management was quite accommodating. The music in the lobby can get kind of loud at night, but I think it's suppose to give a lively electric atmosphere.
