I had a great stay at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel and would rate it 4/5.
The hotel was very clean, and we loved the Executive King room. It was spacious enough for me and my girlfriend to relax comfortably. The city view was great, and the bathroom—especially the bathtub—was a highlight. Housekeeping also did an excellent job keeping the room fresh and well stocked.
The location is very convenient, with coffee shops and stores nearby. There are also two GS25 convenience stores within a short walk—one behind the hotel and another near the train station down the hill. The subway station itself is not far and easy to reach.
Breakfast on the upper floor had a beautiful view and great atmosphere. Most of the food was good, though one fish dish was just okay. The coffee machine was also a bit complicated to use and could be more user-friendly.
The front desk staff were professional and polite, and they communicated well in English, which I appreciated. However, they sometimes seemed a bit strict or reserved.
One small improvement would be the bathroom glass panel, which makes it difficult to watch TV from the bathtub due to the tint.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and I would gladly stay here again.

I did not go to the $119 buffet for any meals, but I was told by other patrons that it was excellent. I don't eat enough to justify that price tag. The lounge servers were excellent and very accomodating. The room was in fairly good shape and overall the hotel was clean. It's a little remote compared to other hotels in terms of nearby shops, but it wasn't too bad. You can get the orange line metro pretty easily but there is a little hill that you have to walk up when you return, just FYI. Food options in the hotel were meh and the other resteraunt there was good but pricey.

Such helpful staff. We needed help with a few things and someone at the front desk was always available and willing to assist. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the location was right near a subway station and multiple bus lines which get you everywhere you need. Get a t-money card & load with credit which lets you tap on and off to all trains and buses as you go. We didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant- plenty of walkable options nearby if you want to try them. The laundry service was way too expensive- you can just buy new items for the prices they charge!

The cleaning staff didn’t sweep the carpet as chips were left on the floor from previous night. Shampoo was not refilled, tissue was not refilled. Shower door was loose. Main room door is slight misaligned thus requiring extra effort to close. Noise from adjacent room were audible almost every night of our 5 night stay. Two nights had couple arguing through out the night. No shops or restaurants within 10-12 mins of walking. This should be a 3-4 star hotel at best.

Very nice hotel however, my only complaint would be the poor explanation during check in that the outdoor pool usage was an extra charge. We weren’t made aware of that until we went to use the pool and were told it was reserved for certain guests. The next day when I went to the front desk to inquire I was told my room didn’t include the pool, didn’t even know that was an additional fee when booking.

The hotel is amazing, and for the most part the staff were great. We stayed with a baby and requested a crib, but they said all they had was bed railings. But then on our last night we did get a crib so I guess they just didn’t have one available? Also they don’t allow any inflatables for babies in the pools. Food was great, the groceria was affordable and delicious. Buffet was very pricey which was a little surprising but the quality is there. Obviously the chefs table and Michelin star Chinese restaurant were the pricing you would expect. Overall we loved the hotel, and the view from the rooms was fantastic. Highly recommend.

The family room is very nice. It's a smart room. They clean and provide towels, water etc daily . Personnels are helpful and pleasant. Our view from the family room is amazing!! We can see the Seoul tower from our room. The only thing I don't like is the poor access to subway. We practically call Uber taxi each time. A bit hefty for the whole duration of our stay ( 4 days). Their buffet breakfast was yummy. Variety of choices. The cafe latte is a bum!! I would recommend this hotel when your in myeongdong area.

We spent four nights at the property in late Novemeber and early December of 2024 and was very happy with our stay. It's a clean, modern hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms, and the breakfast at the King's restaurant is outstanding. The location is good. It's a short walk from train stations and the Dongdaemon Design Plaza. I would definately stay at the property, again.

Lobby bar closes at 11:00pm, last call being at 10:00pm, kitchen closes at 9:00pm we guess? Many deadlines that aren't on sync for traveling guests that are on vacation.

We called ahead of time to the front desk to ask about the bingsu because it was highly anticipated. We called around 8:45pm to make sure they still had it and ask for the lobby bar hours. We got to the lobby bar at around 9:10pm and they said they were done serving the bingsu at 9:00pm. We called ahead on purpose because we wanted to try it and they failed to let us know that they were stopping the service.

The hotel has many great amenities but they are all at a cost. The usage of the outdoor pool, sauna, toothbrush, vanity kit, etc., is not free.

Hotel itself was beautiful, cleaning maids do a fantastic job. Breakfast in the kings buffet was great but the Dinner though at the buffet isn’t worth 150k won- around £116 pp, and by 930 they rushing you out the door as close at 10pm.
Swimming pool is great throughout the day, as can be very humid. Great location for us, and like everywhere in Seoul - lots of local shops, restaurants etc nearby. The doormen are the stars of the place though/ massive help for us navigating/exploring - gave some great ideas where to go see the REAL Seoul.
Would stay there again.

This hotel has been renivated a few years ago but I could not find much about it. Expedia Platinum was not recongnized at all. Quality experience, as expected of its 5-star status.

One complaint: the room was hot (28°C), and since it was wintertime the entire building was set to heat-only.

Smartphone and bedside temperature controls indicating \"cool\" mode and desired temperature had no effect, and I'm not sure why they exist if they don't work.

I suppose maybe if I wanted to heat the room to 30°C for some unimaginable reason the control might work for that?
To improve the temperature I opened the only window, a small one that opened a crack, and left it open for almost my entire stay. That made the room fall to a low of 23 and average of 26 over three days, which is still pretty warm. Staff provided me with a fan upon request, and I understand that there wasn't anything else they could do. I got the impression that this is just a fundamental issue with their centralized HVAC system or something so either everyone is on A/C or everyone gets heat, and you can't even close the vents in the room.

Other than that everything was great, including room service.

We've stayed here a few times now and we are never disappointed. It's a lovely relaxing place to walk into. The staff deliver an outstanding service, they will always do their best to assist you with any problems. Our room was on the twelfth floor and was amazing. Spotless spacious addressing every detail. However, the room is far too hot for sleeping and never went below twenty six degrees that does need addressing. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and we will be back for sure.

The hotel room is quite spacious, providing lots of room for luggage and it's kept very clean. However, the biggest issue was the daily renovations, which started earlier than they had informed us! Every morning during our five-day stay, we were woken up by drilling noises from the floor above, sometimes even before 8:00 a.m., and on a few days, before 9:00 a.m. This was quite annoying.

The food and descriptions of in-room dining could be better. Wish they also had washrags stock in rooms, In my king room I had two large towels, two hand-towels, and a towel for the floor. A wash rag or two would be nice. There was a disposable lufa stocked in the shower, but you can't use that for everything, like shaving or face washing.
