Receptionists are super friendly, prifessional and helpful with any inquiries and great dining recommendations. Laundry facilities is in an air conditioned room clean and well organized with baskets and iron if needed. They provilde free laundry detergent. Hotel is with short walking distance from Hualien's famous shopping triangle area. Will definitely stay there again uf visiting Hualien.

Ok place to stay for a night or two in Hualien if you just need somewhere to sleep. The photos are accurate i.e. it's pretty bare bones. Windows are very small, there are no lamps or lights by the bed. But it's clean, breakfast was fine, staff was nice, about a 15-20 minute walk to the night market and the beach.

We were on a dual couples trip and really loved this hotel. The rooms are decently spacious, it's very modern and clean, and the breakfast is generous. You have everything you need in a city hotel. The only issue is I found that the Wi-Fi was weak in some areas of the lobby, but it worked fine in the rooms.

My husband and I were not feeling very well upon arrival at Hualien. It’s not their official check in time but as soon as we expressed our willingness to see if we can check in the room soon even at extra cost, the front desk people were super helpful to get us a room without additional cost. We really appreciate that, especially we’re traveling with a small baby. The bed was superb comfy and the room functions well serve every needs we have. The breakfast selection was amazing. Baby likes the play room a lot. Thanks again for the best hospitality and we do enjoy our stay here.

Aircon glitch but superb service made up for it
Pre-arranged hotel shuttle was waiting for me at the train station when we arrived. Smooth check-in to room on fifth floor. Clean squarish room with generous sized toilet. However, after 60 mins wait, aircon stayed at 26 degrees (even after staff, who was also the shuttle bus driver, attempted to adjust). Called reception who offered me another room on the ninth floor. This time the room appeared smaller due to the layout though toilet remained big. Staff suggested that I leave the aircon on while I head out so that room will be cool upon returned. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After 5 hours, the room was still at 24 degrees and there was no option of opening windows. Thankfully, staff has yet to knock off and on his own accord brought up a standing fan to the room. Am truly appreciative of his pro-activeness as the fan made a huge difference for the two nights that I stayed there. I encountered the same staff a few more times during my stay and he never failed to smile and make me feel welcome. THANK YOU!

Nice hotel and free upgrade room when check-in but room was like sauna as the air-conditioning is not working. Inform staffs and was told all rooms booked. Hotel should not upgrade the guests to a lousy room for no reason.

One of the nicest smaller hotel I ever stayed in. My complement to the decorator/designer. Nice location. Room size is big especially the shower. Hotel is spotless. My room only has a small window but who comes to Taiwan to look out the window? Plenty of place for cheap eat around the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with some change daily. Would definitely come back again.

A most welcome experience. A brand new hotel in the middle of the historical centre of the city at a high western standard. We stayed in this hotel for our visit to Hualien. The reception was professional, asked us what our plan was, and we signed up for a day trip to Taroko Gorge (NT700 per person, shared bus. Guide on the trip was very good btw).
Staff always showed us to the lift whenever we took it from the lobby, and bowed to us as the lift door was closing.
Room was clean and new, all amenities were in good working order, bed was comfortable. There was a window alongside the dressing table.
Breakfast was good, but could have a little more variety. Can't really complain though.
What impressed us was on check out. We had breakfast and had a train to catch from Hualien Station. We asked the reception to book us a cab about 40 mins before the departure time (journey should take 10 mins). However, cab was late and never came, but they immediately took us to the station using their own vehicle.

When I stop by Rate Park City Hotel -Hualien Vacation, They help to rent a car in next day with two infant car seats in many rental companys in Hualien. They supported the baby cot and baby bath tub. Excellent service
This seems to be a brand new hotel in town. Renovation is just about completed and everything is getting into place. There's a small children playroom which is a nice touch for my 1-yo toddler.
Service is excellent, and genuinely warm and friendly. Compared to the other hotels I stayed during a 8-day tour in Taiwan, this is the best despite costing about the same.
Highly recommend for those visiting Hualian.

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was good and quiet.
What we didn't like was that there was no handsoap provided in the room, even when we asked for it. We therefore always had to climb into the bathtub to get some of the shower gel to wash our hands. Very annoying, especially since you don't have to use one-way soap and can just use a refilleable suspender like in the shower?!
The breakfast had a random variety of food and was one of the worst we had in Taiwan so far. Additionaly, not much is explained in english and just called \"chef recommendation'.
We used the washer and dryer two times, which was a waste of money since it didn't really wash nor dry thoroughly.
