What a shame. Fab location, but…

Sadly, the attic room windows all condensed and dripped all night, leaving both the bed and clothes we’d left on a chair wet.

On reporting this, the first comment from the man at reception was ‘I’ve been here since 1998 and no one’s ever said this’. Can’t imagine he’s been upstairs much. He then sent a lady to go upstairs to check…he seemed surprised when I accompanied her. By then, a cushion I’d placed on the bed already had a 10cm wet patch on it from the dripping window.

All he could say was that he would let management know…he couldn’t have cared less. When I pressed for any type of compensation (the room was hardly cheap, and the sleep less than adequate), we were offered madeleines and a coffee…which we politely declined. No goodbyes.

I’m afraid I won’t be back, nor will I recommend this place…maybe it’s time to find a new manager.

I did not have breakfast, which at 40 euros was pretty pricey. But there are so many places around the hotel to have breakfast that it did not matter. The room was very clean, but extremely small. Shower was a bit inconvenient. Too hard and no good way to prevent flooding. Bed was good. No Kleenex tissues and toilet extremely narrow, almost unusable. The staircase was very difficult to climb up with a bag. But overall for the neighborhood I was quite happy.

The Londres St Honore is advertised as a 3* and that is exactly what it is. Clean and comfy but basic rooms in a rambling old building off the rue de St Honoree so the location is excellent. If you end up in one of the top floor rooms you will find yourself wandering as if lost around endless corridors!

This is a delightful hotel with an old-fashioned vibe. The best thing about it is the location; right beside Eglise St. Roch and a few steps from the Tuileries and the Louvre. The maid service is stellar -- each day the bathroom was sparkling and the beds were perfectly remade. Do not stay at a chain or luxury hotel while these neighborhood gems still exist!

Loved this hotel in centreville. I could walk to the Louvre and other places in the evenings after the tourist crowd is gone. Also good location for the metro ride to all the monuments luke the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and other major monuments are all within walking distance.

This hotel room has everything one needs: an AC, a safe, a bath room etc. It is close to Louvre, about 7 min walk. The one problem I think is with the lift. Its door opens towards the side that makes it hard to take out or take in one's luggage. Another thing I'd like to mention is about paying for the room fee. I specified I would pay at the hotel when I had booked the room. When I arrived at the hotel at about 2:00 PM, I paid with Euro in cash. Right after I paid in cash my credit card was charged the equivlent of US dollars, for which I got a message from my bank, meaning I was charged double for the room, both in cash and on credit card. Though 2 days later, the US dollar amount was credited back to my card, the practice didn't make sense to me.

We have been to Paris many times and we know the hotel rooms are small. The room at Londres St Honore was also small, but about the same as many others. It is the price (over 330 Euros per night) combined with the lack of amenities that causes us to give this poor rating. No elevator for the first two floors - you have to drag your bags up the stairs. Room has very minimal furniture - think Ikea except 30 years old and very worn. Not at all the level we expected for this price. There is almost no lobby space - a tiny depressing room with very worn out furniture. Claustrophobic. Staff was very warm and helpful. Location is excellent - 3 min walk to the Louvre. But would not stay here again.

Eric might be the best hotel employee I've ever encountered! His passion for making sure every guest gets the most out of not only their visit to the hotel but their whole time in Paris is incredible! He's multilingual and we saw him speak at least 3 languages while we were there (French, English, and Spanish) and he probably speaks more.

The hotel is in a 300+ year old building that Napoleon fired a cannon right next to and the stairs & elevator are challenging (and cannot be modernized due to building's history). While not a problem at all for us, those with mobility impairments may want to choose another property.

The manager charged us for extra day which we didn’t mind since we didn’t want to argue as we couldn’t stay one more minute.. called an Uber and headed straight to Paris Hilton Opera…. where we could breathe again. This property was walking distance to the Louvre and in a very nice part of town. The church next door was beautiful.
The walls were very thin and I could hear every step the people above us took. The shower was very uncomfortable. The airflow in the room makes the shower curtain stick to your body. The floor was soaking wet after the shower.
I did not like the fact that the Hôtel required you to leave the key at the front desk every time you left the property. When we returned they just asked our name and gave the key back. It doesn’t seem very secure and is very weird. I don’t understand why they would need us to leave the key.

Wanted to be near sites, and this location was! Just a few blocks from the Opera House (one direction) and the Louvre (another direction) and easy to get to metro and other sites. We knew it would be a small room for the three of us, but the bathroom was exceptionally small. Still, the friendly staff and great location made our stay wonderful.

This is a mixed review: If you are on a tight budget and want a centrally located barebones hotel, this might be for you. But you should know a few things>

First, the staff are very friendly. We arrived after a red-eye flight and they got us into our room early (which we appreciated). You need to walk up a lot of stair (narrow and windy). There is a very small elevator but you need to walk up 1.5 flights of stairs before you can access it - if you have mobility issues or are just really tired after a long day of sightseeing, this will be a pain!). The water in the shower goes from cold to scalding without warning and for no reason - expect this 3 - 4 times per 10 minute shower. The room was bare bones but clean. We didn't go to Paris to stay in our room. The location is great - easy jumping off point for all the great sights. Shampoo is terrible (seriously, get your own). Again, if you are on a budget and want to see Paris - this might be the place for you, but you should know the details before booking.

This is a quirky but well situated hotel. The staff is wonderful and the small rooms are clean and quiet. It’s walking distances to the Tuileries gardens, the Louvres and much more. A warning however - if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues this is not the place for you. The elevator is tiny and doesn’t reach any floor directly. There are always stairs. Even after we got off the elevator we had to climb three more staircases to get to our room. We didn’t mind it but others would find it impossible to navigate. Especially carrying luggage. The stair treads are narrow and irregular. But we very much enjoyed our time here

To be avoided at all costs…

This hotel is a rip-off joint (and I know Paris inside out, having lived there for many years). The first night, I was put in a pokey room on the fifth with barely enough room to turn around let alone open my suitcases. (It was probably a « chambre de bonne » (maid’s room) when the place was first built.) To the management’s credit, they put me into a slightly larger room the next day, which was still not worth €200 a night. There was no lobby, just a small space on the first floor landing in front if the reception desk and the staircase was so steep and the stairs so shallow that it took some concentration to carry down my bags at the end of the stay without breaking my neck. To be avoided at all costs, unless you are part of an Olympic gymnastics team with little choice and deep pockets.

Great location if you visiting the Lovre and gardens. A very convenient market is across the street. It is a old and historic property but in excellent condition. Our room was clean and comfortable. The desk clerks made our stay even more enjoyable with their suggestions and recommendations.
One thing: there is no elevator. There are narrow winding steps to the main floor. Kind of a pain with luggage, but the desk clerks help you out.

The location cannot be better--one block from a Metro station and 2 blocks from a taxi queue, it was perfect walking distance to everything I wanted to see. The neighborhood is chic one direction and charming from another with tons of restaurants, cafes, and patisseries! It is an old world hotel in a 400-year-old building with up-to-date amenities. There's a lovely light breakfast every morning. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms, while tiny, have plentiful hot water. I was totally comfortable. I would stay here again and again! The staff was courteous and helpful!

Wonderful place in the heart of it all.

A great place perfectly located among everything you would want. The host was friendly, knowledgeable and great to speak with. They enlightened my son and I on all the details of the church next door and helped us enjoy something beautiful we would have missed otherwise. The only draw back was the lift and the tight stairs, otherwise it was wonderful.
