Amazing staff, delicious food from the restaurant, beautiful infinity pool! Bed was pretty comfortable and the front desk brought us extra pillows upon request. If you pay when you book you have a better chance of getting the balcony room IF you reserved one. The balcony rooms are limited. Would definitely stay there again!

I had higher expectations for this hotel based on the ratings, but we were disappointed. First, the property is under construction. I wish they would have told us beforehand. Very loud hammering and metal grinding literally from 8 am to 5 pm! Needless to say, no peace and quiet to be had around the pool or restaurant. Additionally, the pool furniture was unclean with stains, and the amount of flies was bothersome (Not their fault). All of this made us wonder ,\"Is this really supposed to be the best?\". The main reason we chose this property was the saltwater pool, and they don't even maintain it! During our visit, high tide didn't reach high enough to turn over much water, so what we had were two stagnant, green pools. As if to throw it in our face, the neighboring property had a saltwater pool a little lower in elevation in pristine ocean blue condition. Overall, disappointment. We will not be coming back, and we don’t recommend this place. There are better properties on the beach for this price range

Amazing views, however you will need a vehicle to get around. It is not walking distance to Sunset Park as stated on the website. You can technically walk to El Tunco but be ready to break a sweat. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay away from the noise this is the spot for you. Food was excellent and the staff waextremely nice and helpful.

The hotel has big rooms, comfy beds, the best views, good drinks, bomb aguachiles, and great service. There was a wedding when I stayed and the hotel took care of it so well where it didn’t disturb my peace.

For the value the room should be kept better, drain cover in the bathroom was in cover / cover loose no screws. How do you feel seeing hole in the batt room in an unfamiliar place. The worst experience for noise issue given there was a wedding, our room located under the banquet room, people screaming, laughing and why worst part floor stamping and screeching notices perhaps from moving chairs or tables from 9:00 pm to 12:30 am unfortunately no other places to go at this time for seniors. Very disappointed !

I've stayed here many times. One of the things I enjoy is a nice cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the view of the ocean. Something has changed with the coffee they serve. Essentially the coffee is extremely weak. Perhaps it's a way for saving money, but very disappointing for the consumer who pays a fair amount to stay here.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The view is amazing! We had the pool to ourselves for a couple of nights, which was very nice. The front desk was courteous, for the most part. The restaurant was clean but the food is quite expensive for the quality. The breakfast menu (included with the rate) is basic. If you order milk with your coffee, you have to pay extra for said milk. If you order orange juice and a bottle of water, you have to pay for either. The food takes a long time to arrive and it is usually cold. If you order pupusas, for example, and you ask for extra curtido, it will take 15 minutes to get it. Once the food is served, you are pretty much on your own. If you tip the waiters well (on top of the already mandatory tip added to your bill), they will give you the VIP treatment, which I highly recommend….but you will still have to wait when you ask for extras.
We had problems with the toilet, which got plugged but was resolved while we were out.
On both Friday and Saturday evenings, there was a wedding on each night. The music was excessively loud until midnight. We were told by the reception that it is what it is.
The hotel is situated in a very accessible area to other beaches, which is nice. The security at the hotel is tight.

This property is very dated. There's only 1 restaurant and the food is not good. They need to fire the entire kitchen. The staff is very nice and accommodating which was a plus. The rooms are large but dated. The beds are very comfortable which was a plus. For the price I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The location isnt near anything so you have to go El Tunco beach. El Tunco was the highlight of the trip, stay over there instead.

I booked a stay at Acantilados Hotel in El Salvador through Expedia, but when we arrived after a five-hour drive, we were told by the hotel that our reservation had not been recorded in their system. Despite showing our Expedia confirmation, the hotel said there was no room for us, and their only proposed solution was to send us to a low-quality two-star hotel next door—for the same price we had paid for a stay at a high-end property.

This was not an acceptable solution for us. The staff tried to help by recommending another hotel, but that option also did not meet any reasonable standard. As it was already very late at night and we couldn’t find suitable accommodations, we had no choice but to drive all the way back home.

This experience completely ruined our weekend plans. To make matters worse, days later, we still haven’t received a refund, nor have we received any meaningful support from Expedia to make this right.

This situation was not our fault, and it’s unacceptable that a reservation made and confirmed through Expedia would not be honored at check-in. I urge Expedia to review its processes with hotel partners and to resolve this matter promptly.

They will trick you; I made two reservations one through Expedia and a second one through booking and Acantilados cancelled both stating that the credit cards did not get through, then Acantilados sent me a link to pay the reservations directly with them at higher prices. when I got to the hotel they had a different room for every night. I would not give them a dollar again. They are dishonest business.

It was great view but the suite had no WiFi no tv just for show . I was at the pool area for 2.5 hrs and no pool service like drinks and food tell I got up and notified the desk they came out and apologized. For the price you expect better service and attention to detail.

I felt like this hotel was trying very hard to be a resort, but not offering the perks of a resort necessarily for the exception of free breakfast, which was also limited so anything extra would be extra so. We are very strict. They also made us feel very uncomfortable because they had no outside food rule so you have to either buy from their hotel or eat outside and only eat there and not bring any leftovers back in addition to that we also felt that they left English speaking skills For us. We spoke Spanish, but we saw many others struggle to communicate with the staff. The staff could also stare at us uncomfortably every time we had a bag with souvenirs and gift that we were trying to bring back home or any medication because we fell under the weather, but they didn’t offer any medication in the hotel.

For the exception of two servers and one housekeeping staff, everyone else was incompetent and made it seem like we were just a burden. I feel like for the amount of money that we paid to stay at this place and we stayed for more than one night. We were actually there quite a few nights. We felt that we were treated poorly.

We also felt like there would be more of a scene that would be enjoyable besides the beautiful scenery, but it was pretty dead. If you are not into having a good time and are more in that retired era and just want a nice view this is the perfect place for you but if you wanna have fun, I would try somewhere else.

This property is very photogenic as long as you avoid the sea pool. The sea pool was very dirty, dark and gross. It does not appear to have any circulation of water, nor does it appear to ever be cleaned as it was full of trash and looked very stagnant and suspect. Breakfast and creviches were ok on the menu but the lobster and steak on the dinner menu was $35 and terrible. It looked nothing like the pictures on the menu and the lobster was very overcooked. I paid but did not eat at all beyond the first bite. The room itself was comfortable and very nice sheets on the bed. The ac kept our room very cool but there were no dining options in air conditioning areas that were not in open area. The waiters did not smile and seemed bothered by our presence and service was very slow. We stayed at 4 properties on this trip and despite amazing views, it was the most expensive but my least favorite on this trip. The Garten hotel was much superior and even the Barcelo in San Salvador were much nicer compared to this property. I would not stay again.

This is an excellent property however there are a few details that spoil the experience. It is mostly the noise outside the room in the early hours when you are trying to sleep a bit late. Our room was near a housekeeper closet and the staff are very noisy. Slamming doors and having loud conversations that don’t allow you to sleep. Also the fridge turns on at odd hours and is very noisy. Finally the fresh air dispenser makes a loud noise every few hours . If you are not sensitive to noise it will be a great experience.
