We had a pet friendly room. The floor was not particularly clean, but that is expected being a room with pets. The bathtub was pretty old, and the base was starting to peel. We found a few ants calling on the dresser and a few on our bed.
The staff was great unfortunately the pool was closed and the vending machines had expired drinks and snacks.
The walls were very thin as we can hear the neighbors very clearly. And our guest above us had a little one running back-and-forth, which vibrated the whole room.
Overall, I rate this stay a 2.7 out of five, which I will round up to 3 stars.

While I understand in the winter months it is the perfect time to renovate but I got a room because it said there was a pool and hot tub. Both were not accessible and we were told that the pool at the comfort inn was available for guests. Expedia says there is an arcade room but that doesn’t exist. Also, there was NO housekeeping staff to turn over our room, which wasn’t clean to begin with, after the first night. No phone in the room and our room door didn’t close completely unless we locked it. The room needed repairs done to the shower and tub. Paint flakes came up when taking a shower and bath. The bed doesn’t have a bed frame but is sitting on two different box springs on the floor. The breakfast was lacking a lot as it had only bagels, muffins and apples. It felt more like a low funded hospital breakfast than a conventional breakfast. When we asked for sheets the staff seemed to be bothered that we were asking for things. Also, we asked for a band-aid because my wife smashed her foot into the dresser because of the poorly laid out design of the rooms and even that was non existent. We won’t be staying at the hotel again and will not be recommending it.

Very nice rooms, they had wallpaper which gave it an Elegant Touch. The bed was a little too soft for my liking but that's my issue. While the room was for two people there was only one washcloth and the bath towels were small and not very absorbent. I stayed 3 days but the room was never attended to, housekeeping didn't check to see if I needed anything and I thought that was unusual. The soap dish in the shower had some dark and powdery residue on it that was easily wiped off - a detail they missed. The website description said the hotel had access to the beach but when I asked about it the receptionist said there was no access to the beach, the trail hadn't been maintained in many years. Another Improvement I suggest is for them to make sure what they have available for breakfast is fresh and not stale. the individually wrapped muffins, microwavable oatmeal and the peanut butter for were all hard as rocks, and no butter or milk available for the oatmeal. These details were were missed which is why I didn't give it a five star rating.

Parking was safe, the room was to tidy & clean. Very spacious so that was nice! You need to open the vacant Restaurant next door on your property, it would be more convenient for your guests! Was surprised to pay extra for an earlier check, when it wasn't that busy on our arrival at around noonish. As the room we got was already cleaned! 😒

The staff were very nice.. however the pool is down and continental breakfast was not there. Instead there was a sign saying we could go to the comfort inn with a voucher to get breakfast. However at check in we were told where breakfast was served… the pool is down for the rest of the year and that was not reflected on the website.

Checked out and moved hotels. The staff were friendly for the most part, but not really helpful in helping with a refund. They stated I booked through expiration so there was nothing they could do.

Super disappointed! Went on a trip with my boyfriend and was excited to spend time in the pool and hot tub and when we got there found out that was closed. Was told we had to go two hotels down if we wanted to use theirs. Then for some reason we had to switch rooms because the front desk attendent couldnt figure out our keys. Switched rooms and still only could use ine key. Next, after the first night my boyfriend woke up with bug bites all over him! Was super confused where they came from until later in the night found FLEAs crawling on my ankles!!! GROSS!!!! All throughout the stay we kept finding them jumping on us and the bed! Will never stay here again!

Nothing was what was advertised. The pool was closed. The hot tub was closed. They did not offer continental breakfast. I was charged a $30 a night fee per dog. And the wall was torn up from the prior dogs. The windows were full of spiderwebs complete with spiders. Outside our window was a chair turned over and the screen off of our window was laying on the ground. We told staff about this. And after five days, it was not picked up. So that was our view. My credit card was compromised. After three attempts of them to charge me the $360 for my dogs.

First off check in is not until 4pm and you have to check out by 11am not even 24 hours!! Next room cost about 115.00 then for 2 small dogs it was 80.00 just for a room you all ready paid for!! These charges are starting to get out of hand!! Beds are bad stayed a few times here and every room on the bottom floor beds suck!! This hotel has changed owner 3 times in over a year and a half!! Then they have a sign that says pool and hot tubs don’t work again!! But you can drive down the road to another hotel and use there!! Very unhappy will be checking in to different hotels now or start camping!!!

As soon as we walked in we were disappointed as when we booked our stay it was for the pool and hot tub. Both were closed. This wasn’t disclosed online or when we booked. The sign on the front desk does state that we could use comfort inns pool and hot tub. Also I am pregnant and drinking water like crazy, I ran out right before 9:00 pm and had my husband go to the front desk and ask where we could find water. Mind you there is no ice or water on the third floor.. kinda strange because they have an ice chest for you in the room. Anyways he went to the front desk asked if there was any water any where. She stated “ the pool room was the only room with water in it and it’s completely closed” my husband responded with “ okay so where could I get some water then” and she very rudely scoffed at him and walked away into the back grabbing a water bottle. Thankfully I got my water but at the cost of an attitude. Then as it was 11:00 pm my husband and I were going to sleep for the night when someone was trying to get into our room. Kept trying to open the door again and again. My husband got up and the lady at the door said they double booked our room.. fast track to this morning we woke up and were getting ready to leave at 9:00am as we didn’t want to stay here any longer. House keeping was trying to get into our room.. check out isn’t until 11:00 am. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in my life time and this one is by far the worst.

I chose this hotel because it had an ocean view and hot tub. Checked in to find the hot tub closed until further notice. Ocean view is accurate, but it is a stretch because hotel is far from beach and dunes block most of the view.

First room we were given had no nightstands (so weird!), tv didn’t work, and the walls were quite thin. To their credit, they let us choose a different room without any fuss.

Overall, it’s fairly run down and disappointing. It was affordable though, so if you go, it’s ok for what it is, just don’t have high expectations. And call ahead about the pool/hot tub.

The good: linens were cleaner than most places we've stayed, we liked the room configuration, the bed comfort level was above average, and all staff we encountered were approachable.
The not-so-great: there was no phone in the room to reach the front desk, no WiFi info was provided when we checked in (usually it's written on the card sleeve or on a separate slip of paper), no coffee restock (only enough for two small cups of coffee over the 2-night, 3-day stay; one per person; went to front desk for more coffee and were offered the wrong type of coffee packet for the coffee maker in our room; old used coffee pod still in machine), onsite pool and restaurant were closed, shower curtain was coming apart, received inconsistent information from staff and VERY limited \"breakfast\" (3 pastry choices, basket of one type of fruit and oatmeal packets next to a hot water urn; only white sugar provided for downstairs coffee).

Once the room was cleaned and we finally gotta get in there. It was pretty good. I mainly picked that hotel because I wanted the swimming pool and the continental breakfast. The swimming pool was dirty and there wasn’t much to the continental breakfast but other than that the room was cleaned After three tries of getting in there. We were able to get clean towels when we needed them and fresh cups and coffee when we needed them. It was nice and quiet and the people smiled and were cheerful and that was nice.

Booked what I thought was an ocean view room. When we got there it was a room on the first floor with about a12’ tall wall of bushes; no ocean view. The desk said they would work with us for a different room at the end of the weekend. We couldn’t cancel our reservations because we booked through Hotels.com, we were stuck there.
When we got in the room only decaf coffee was available, the fridge froze my fresh fruit & yogurt and a bar of used soap in the shower.
We booked the room also because a bar & grill was attached to the hotel; it was closed.
They changed our room to the 2nd floor, still no ocean view. The room was cleaner, the fridge didn’t freeze my fruit & yogurt, the coffee machine made regular coffee and the bathroom was cleaner.
I thought after this whole mess we might get a partial refund. We left early regardless of what we had to pay
I will not use Hotels.com again and will not recommend to family and friends!!

The pool was out of order. The room was okay but a little dirty. There was still sand in the bathtub and mold was growing on the wall in one area. Parking was easy, check-in was easy and it's in a good location. All in all, this is one of the best stays in the area for your money and it's one of the few hotels in the area without bed bugs reported. I'd stay here again.

It got warm in our room so we plugged in the AC unit and it made the loudest noise i have heard, so the front desk sent up a fan to at least move the air around. I stayed at Mar Vista in Ocean Shores and was extremely disappointed. The first room we were given (Room 111) smelled absolutely terrible as soon as we walked in. When we went to the front desk to address the issue, we were met with attitude, but they eventually moved us to Room 210. Unfortunately, this room wasn’t much better.

The bathroom was not clean—the bathtub still had hair from the previous guest, along with their used shampoo bottles left behind. The pool was extremely dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was also not heated, making it colder than the ocean water, which was shocking for a hotel pool. The hot spa had visible dirt and buildup, making it unpleasant to use.

This hotel severely lacks hygiene and proper cleaning standards. There is also no breakfast offered—just coffee and cookies. I was so disappointed with this stay—it honestly makes Motel 6 look like a luxury resort in comparison.

I would not recommend staying here if you value cleanliness, comfort, or friendly customer service.

A good choice and great location.

We had a very nice stay. The room and staff were great. Convenient room access and parking. The breakfast is very basic with only bread products and coffee, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat. The bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and good pressure. The room had all the features and amenities you need. Great dog friendly place if you have furbabies. I would recommend and stay here again.

Walking into the room it was nice but hot. No biggie as there was AC. We turn it on and it sounded like it was going to explode. It barely cooled the room down and was so noisy we had to turn it off. 2 lamps didn’t have bulbs and one just didn’t work. One working light out of 4. The pool was ICE COLD. Which could be my fault for assuming it was heated but it was definitely way too cold for my baby and I. The continental breakfast was not it. Packaged cinnamon rolls and muffins. Everytime I went to the desk for something I needed or wanted to mention, there was no one around. I waited to check out for 15 minutes and no one came around. It was just really disappointing for the price. It was nice and clean but just did not workout for us.

There were several mistakes made on my reservations (room types, not adjoining) despite my calling several times. The hotel lacked basic amenities such as luggage carts and a crib. They advertised continental breakfast but it was literally just stale bagels. The staff were nice and the location was convenient. If you’re truly on a tight budget this place will do in a pinch, but don’t expect any comforts or amenities.

I had booked a room with a partial view. There was no view. The people above me and next to me were very loud. I booked a room there because they had a hot tub. I took my son. He needs both of his hips replaced so I wanted a hot tub to see if it would help his pain. When we went to the hot tub the water was cold and not working right. That was a big let down along with the no view and noise. I booked through Expedia. When we got to the hotel I found out if I directly booked from the hotel, I could have gotten 20%off. I haven't had a vacation or gone out of town for over 7 years. This wasn't the nice visit that I had hoped for.

Simple

Simple room, two queen sized beds, bathroom, TV, dresser and A/C unit. I enjoy simple and this was nice. Also had a nice view of the beach.

YES!

Even though the property had just changed ownership, they were welcoming and the room was cozy and QUIET! Two blocks away is a drivable beach including the ability to ride horses by the sea.

Pros: Room was clean and adequately furnished. Comfy bed. Location convenient.

Cons: Too many things broken. Toilet backed up. They gave me a plunger to fix it myself, no staff available. I was told new owners took over that day and all staff quit. Yet somehow, a staff meeting took up the whole breakfast room. Did they hire all new in the night?
Elevator broke on our last day. It made scary noises the whole time. Staff tried to tell me the noises were just maids getting their carts out of the elevator upstairs. I'm lucky I wasnt stuck in it when it broke.
Pool was ice cold. Could not use it. Also looks like an unfinished garage with a pool in it. No towels in sight.

All keys reset halfway thru the stay. Customers were coming down to the desk to find out why. Staff were telling customers they must have put the key too close to their phone. A whole hotel worth of guests did that at the same time?
Breakfast was not as advertised. Prepacked danish, muffin, granola bar or oatmeal. No fruit, juice or hot food at all.

The included breakfast was lacking. It consist of instant oatmeal packets, granola bars, a couple muffins and hot coffee. Was disappointed in this. Otherwise, the stay was as expected.

Loved that there was free wifi but the bed wasn't too comfortable. The soaps were terrible. the place is dated tremendously. I really enjoyed my time win Ocean Shores and there are definitely much worse hotels. This wasn't one of them. Staff were lovely human beings. Thanks again

First when i arrived there were two different customers whom appeared angry one on the phone with booking ,the other said they were leaving and couldnt be more disappointed. So angry forgot his I'd came back while I checked in. The other one asking if Add her back from the booking agency. Since she was still on the phone with them and they said they just talked to you. He decided to leave. Once in my room I noticed it wasnt what i had booked. I went back to the front desk and inquired as to why I didn't get the room I booked. Q
