The check in process was difficult. There was no check in desk in the lobby. We had to go to the restaurant, produce our Expedia confirmation number, then the person was on the phone with someone for 5 or 6 minutes before acknowledging our reservation for two nights. And as best we could tell, we were the only people staying at this hotel-I would have thought they would have been expecting us. We felt a bit insecure while sleeping as our room did not have any sort of inside secondary lock, and the balcony sliding door would not lock. There was no hot water. The toilet leaked water on to the floor. Only one of our two lavatories worked. On the plus side, the hotel is right on the beach, and it was very quiet at night. Breakfast each morning and the one lunch we had there was good. Staff did not speak any English, (not unexpected), so it is a little more challenging if you are not a Spanish speaker.

Poor Management and Major Cleanliness Issues
We booked at Sabas but were redirected to Coco Blue Beach Resort upon arrival. Although it was presented as an upgrade, the hotel was completely unprepared. There was no front desk and no management system in place. We waited over an hour for our rooms; despite having a confirmed booking for two, they were overbooked and had to convert a storage room into a guest room for us.
The hygiene standards were very poor. Both rooms were extremely dusty and had not been properly cleaned. Most concerningly, one of the rooms had been soiled by a pet. Since there was no housekeeping staff available, I had to clean the area myself using my own supplies.
The service was equally disappointing. During dinner, the staff refused to split the bill between our two rooms. When we attempted to resolve the payment issue, the owner’s wife was highly unprofessional. She was confrontational and made offensive, generalized comments toward our group rather than trying to find a solution. While the physical property is new, the lack of staff, poor sanitation, and disrespectful treatment of guests made this a very negative stay. This resort needs professional management and a basic standard of hospitality before it can be recommended.

Very disappointed with my stay here. They put us in a room knowing the ac didnt work and told me they knew it didnt work. after unpacking everything, we had to pack again and move to a smaller room. Then move again. Very inconvenient and not relaxing. Breakfast is included but they didnt tell us they charge for stuff like milk with your coffee, while i dont mind paying but tell me before hand. Also left my wallet in my room and said i would be back to pay but the guy came banging on my door like if i was trying to steal even though we are staying here and had a couple days left. Just dealt with things you shouldnt deal with on vacation. Things like the shower clogging and the balcony door didnt bother me but the other things did. Would not stay again nor do i recommend .

I thought this was a great hotel and it was a very big spacious room with a very decent and very clean bathroom. With a stand-up shower and really hot water. It had an ocean view which was pretty amazing because you wake up the waves of the ocean. It’s a little bit after the main road, but it’s right on the beach so you can leave your room and be on the sand within two or three minutes of walking. Oh yeah, the air conditioning was really good and really strong. I checked in around 9 or 10 PM in the middle of a major storm and they had staff that was ready and waiting.

This property is advertised as a “resort” which is not. We arrived by 8 pm and our room was not ready. Internet did not work the first day, and the next day was on and off. Cable channels are very limited. An old and dirty mop was given as feet towel for the shower. The bathroom sink faucet was wobly. The promised “Mountain View”did not happen. We were very disappointed.

My issue with this place was that they allowed day pass users to come into the hotel. With that being said I was sitting on a hammock and a day pass user came and bumped me right off she paid a few bucks. No consideration for the customers that are actually staying on the resort for a few days.. I should have to pay additional to sit on the hammock. The food was greasy the hotel towel are old and stained.

This place is worse than a cheap motel, they do bat have a reception place, no elevator the house keeping is the same cook, and does everything the area is dirty water at swim pool was green, I think some needs to keep updating this pictures, the hotel is scary to stay, I end up loosing $900 because I checked out the same day and they didn’t care,
All I heard was give the key and you can leave 😳😳. I am so disappointed of this place. Please do not reserved this place .

I’ve stayed here plenty a times, is not a bad options and enjoyable. This time (booking through expedia) they gave me a bit of a fight to cover my breakfast, which has always been included when we’ve stayed before AND IT SAID IT WAS INCLUDED WITH EXPEDIA. After contacting Expedia and speaking with the supervisor they agreed to cover it but warned me that “Expedia reservations do not include breakfast, only through booking or when reserving with them directly”… the supervisor was really great about it, but the front desk lady really did not want to honor it. Food is generally ok they have a nice pool and direct access to the beach. The rooms are comfortable.

A bad decision to go to this place, the recession that there is no such thing, you check into a seedy bar.
The staff's attitude is terrible, the cleaning is horrible, they don't give you towels to dry your hands, only two to bathe in and with hair in the fibers, I booked with Expedia and they offer breakfast included, when I arrive they say because you booked with Expedia there is no breakfast, if you had booked with another company there would be, I think they say the same thing if you book with another company so they don't provide breakfast.

Sabas was cool, I loved that it was right on the beach, and you can just walk to the water. The building and surrounding areas were a bit dirty. There was trash on the sides of the roads and the area smelled. Not too much to choose from dining-wise in the area, and no restaurants would deliver. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the food they served was tasty.

The hotel has so much potential, but unfortunately the rooms were very dirty. The pillows had stains and the bed sheets had yellow marks on them. The bathrooms had grime marks as well. This place was divine and quite. The staff were on top of their game super polite and services were great. The bedroom which is the twin beds with tv and awesome AC I looooooove it. Staff were friendly and accommodating (brought us a fridge when we requested) however would be nice to have some partial English speaking staff. Has a very good shower and first two days we had hot water. Third day not. There is a resturant/bar on site which is good as there really isn’t much else around to speak of. Best bet is to take Uber to El Tunco which has lots of restaurants. My biggest disappointment is I chose this place because it had a pool and was happy to have poolside room, however, was not able to access it as many locals and family’s come there for the day. Was super busy. Pool is small to begin with. Love the ocean front. Love the ability to run a tab at restaurant and charge to the room- very convenient. Huge room. It is rated a three star and it a good three star.

I do not think I would ever want to stay at this place again. Pros: Rooms were big and clean. Big and comfortable beds.
Cons: We had a terrible experience at the restaurant. We ordered lunch for 2 and had to wait 2 hours for them to bring our food. Moreover, the staff did not bother to bring menu, it took them 30 minutes to bring one water and a coke and we had to asked twice for it. Basically, staff is not properly trained. Absolutely terrible customer service. They offer cheap day passes so the pool was full of locals who came just to enjoy the pool and were not staying at the hotel.

This is not a RESORT, please take off.

1. There is no front desk counter(picture attached)
2. No tissue paper holder, no shampoo, no mats after shower, dirty toilet, no hot water, shower water stagnant.
3. Only one girl doing everything(check in from bar, WiFi issues, restaurant orders, bar orders, managing people, taking calls, using whats app, Facebook....she is good, but they need more of her).
4. No parking on site, the cameras are fake
5. No room services, no bell boys, no phone lines
6. Worn down sheets, one pillow in a king bed, no comforter.
7. The door lock is loose, wobbly, manual KEY is handed.

I liked how close it was to the beach. I liked the pool, scenery, balcony view, and good ac. I like that I got a really late check out for no extra charge. The food and drinks were good, but I didn't taste alcohol in my drinks really. I didn't like that nothing else was in walking distance to the hotel. Also, I didn't have hot water the first day until I wrote on the chat section about it because there is no one at the hotel at the front desk to speak to. Prices for food and room seemed similar to US prices. I only had two towels, no rags. No one spoke English so no one seemed to want to take my orders. I had to keep getting up to go talk to the waiter so I could order my food. No one would come to me to take my order even after I asked for a menu. Some of the staff were nice towards the end of my stay and someone who could understand English finally started answering me on the chat section.

Too noisy. People banging on the door and yelling about six in the morning is not my idea of vacation. Ahh and the cabinets in the bathroom falling apart very dangerous. I reserved for my family at Coco-Blue and the experience there was even worse. All the cabinets in very bad condition, a very nasty smell from the sewer. Music extremely loud. Servers are very helpful but for sure the place needs some updates. It's not worth over a $ 100 a night. Never again at that place!

My only request is more towels and a safe box for valuables
