The staff is very friendly and will assist you with anything you need. The rooms are compact but have everything you might need. The area is convenient with all types of konbini in walking distance. The downstairs cafe is nice and homey with all sorts of books and drinks.

The room was a sufficient size with a nice shower and decent A/C control. Staff were very friendly and helped with an umbrella loan. The breakfast was cute and a nice way to start the day. The reading nook / library was a pleasant environment to sit in while having breakfast. The location was fine and close enough to subway stations and I ate at two excellent restaurants within a 15-minute walk of the hotel. I would stay again.

Our second stay at this hotel was just as pleasant as our first; both times, check-in was easy and the room was clean. The location is between Sakae and Nagoya Station, so it was really walkable.

Please be aware that the room is quite small, especially the bathroom. And also I wouldn't recommend here for families with young children.

Great quiet place to stay in Nagoya

What a delight! Quiet location about 15 min wait from the metro in the heart of Nagoya. Room was wonderful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in excellent condition. And you can borrow two books to read in your room from their library in the lobby.

We travelled as a family.of 4, and both my kids were under 7. The room was a good size for us, since we weren't in the room often. Thrir cafe downstairs is very convenient for much needed caffeine in the morning. Their burgers alternate daily, and theyre a good option if you have snall kids and need them fed quickly. All of the places we wanted to go were a convenient walk from thr hotel

Great location, about 2 blocks from fushimi metro station and across the street is a convenience store and a park. Staff were lovely and accommodating, and the 24hr cafe was a great amenity! You also get a free drink on the house and can take books up to your room. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Nagoya!

Absolutely adored the property - the lobby is a cafe, reception, and library all in one, with tasty small bites and plentiful drinks, to comfortable rooms with good views over the neighboring park. We booked our room knowing it did not have a bathtub, but with reasonable rates in the middle of Nagoya it made for a very pleasant stay.

Even though the single room is quite small, but it looks brand new and clean. There is no problem moving around the room. The couch, by the way, is especially relaxing. However, I did not like the breakfast that much. Quantity is not enough!

Lovely boutique hotel in the middle of sakae and nagoya station, which allow you to walk to both places. Subway station is nearby and easy to go other places too!

The room is cozy and clean. But the size is a bit small just like other boutique hotels in Japan. Will stay again next time if going to Nagoya.

Fab little spot to stay for book lovers and anyone who wants to see Nagoya. I booked the hotel as I was visiting Ghibli Park and the location is perfect. Hotel is a short walk to the nearest station and walkable to the bullet train station if it’s a nice day!

This is an excellent place for you to relax. The staff were all nice and helped me to locate the hairdryer (under the sink but looks like a humidifier to me so I thought there werent hairdryer lol) The books provided are mostly Japanese books but there are also a few English options. (mostly you dont spend too much time on reading during a trip so it is fine for me) There are convenience stores nearby and walkable to a few tourist attractions. The room is compact with everything i needed. Enjoyed the stay.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, clean room and good shower. Only suggestions for improvement would be darker/blackout blinds as we were woken early by bright sunlight and removing the footstool - in such a small room it was hard to move around each other/open suitcases.

However, it was not that convenient to take the luggage up and downstairs in the railway station when I have to go to another platform

A little bit disappointed for the breakfast, one of the burgers (the one with shrimp and tomato) was very icy, not just cold, it was hard to eat

Not as convenient to get to as some other hotels but definitely appeals to a niche group who will appreciate the little extras.

Nice hotel. Small room, but that wasn't necessarily unexpected. Good location, good style, cool cafe and bookstore. The hotel provides a list of recommendations of places to eat with one particular place highlighted as their main recommendation. It was awful and I was quite surprised given how nice and stylish the hotel was. In any case, that is my only complaint. They also didn't have a parking lot which would've been nice.

バルコニー付きのシングルに1泊しました。お部屋はコンパクトですが、ひとり用ソファーとオットマンもあり、何より12階の部屋で目の前は公園だったので、明るく開放感があって寛げました。バスタブなしのシャワーのみでしたがとても清潔で、よくあるホテルの狭いユニットバスよりずっと快適でした。
1階にブックカフェもあり24時間営業です。名古屋に来る時はまた利用したいです。

Easy to find hotel with a lovely cafe at the bottom. The room was small, but comfortable. They let you take a book to your room if you want, which is a nice touch. The hallway was very warm and smelled of cigarettes, but as soon as we turned on the A/C in our room, we couldn't smell it anymore.

The extra I paid for a balcony room was well worth the cost, and I can see demand being maintained in this fairly well situated little cafe bookshop with serious hotel amenities that will please. The linen is good quality, service is with a smile, and there are free loans of books you can browse through while drinking your coffee. Convenience store is just across the road and a park nearby to chill out in with a small stream.

The hotel was really clean and quiet. My room was small but comfortable. It opened up onto the park, which was nice, and the sliding door opened, so I was able to get fresh air - often not possible in hotels! The staff were friendly and always tried to help and answer any questions that I had. The location is perfect - a two minute walk from Fushimi subway station.

The hotel charges a lot (1000 yen per hour) for late check out, so I checked out in the morning, but then I ran a marathon and obviously needed to shower after. But they were able to direct me to a nearby onsen at another hotel, for a reasonable cost.

The only area need to improve is the bath amenities. Most of the hotel in Japan have all the necessity well-in-place in the room or available from the front desk. In additions, because of the book shop at the G/F, there are always non-guests on the G/F with the laundry machine. In the view of hotel guests, it is not in a high privacy to do the laundry on G/F.

It is a little boutique hotel. Room was nice but a little small. Located within 6 mins of Fushimi Subway station. Close to convenient stores Lawson and 7-eleven as well as eateries. About 25mins walk from Sakae shopping district.
They serve very good quality breakfast set.

this is a new style of hotel and id say out of most typical hotel you stay in japan if its like a business hotel this was different and nice. the room i stayed in was not big but had a very modern look to it. i didnt take advatange of the first floor coffee area and reading area but it was always pleasant to walk through it. the shower and bathroom was what made it nice since most bathrooms in business hotels have a unit bath which is very uncomfortable. the hotel wa very easy to find from the station. if you explore further towards the big hotel area, there are a lot of bars and coffee shops you can go to.

Plenty of room. Great bathroom.
The books were Devine.
Great location!
Very attentive staff, when needed.
The washing/dryer facilities were great!

This hotel was new and clean, and moderately priced.

The breakfast wasn't cheap but tasty.

The lobby was designed as a library with lots of natural light and park view.

The room was very small. I didn't want a kid-size lounger squeezed into that really small space. (I could use the bed for lounging.)

The shower stall was modern and spacious.

There was no space to keep toiletries in the bathroom. No cabinet, counter space, of shelves.

The power automatically shut off when I left the room. When I returned, the room was unbearably hot because the AC had been turned off. The refrigerator in the room was pretty useless without the power.

The room was just right for me. The bathroom was spotless. The bookshop and cafe are open 24 hours a day. The breakfast was delicious. I traveled in Japan for a month and this is one of my favorite hotels.

Excellent \"business hotel\" with new rooms

I was extremely impressed by the appearance of this hotel. The price wasn't much more than a traditional \"business hotel\" but was so much more comfortable than any other hotel I've stayed at on previous business trips in Japan. The first floor is a book store/cafe, which gives a nice feeling upon entering. There are only a few rooms per floor, but the size is actually somewhat generous by Japanese standards. The room smelled clean and new, and the bathroom was very nice, NOT the standard modular design used in many business hotels. The shower had both waterfall overhead style as well as hand-held, and the high level Japanese toilet is a necessity. The breakfast was served at the cafe, and was really great; I recommend the smoked salmon.

If I return to Nagoya, I would be willing to go out of my way to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Lamp Light Books Hotel is perfect for a short stay in the city! It is comfortable, quiet, and within walking distance or a short train ride to everything. The room was very clean and tended to daily. Finally, the price was just right for two friends on a budget! We both agreed we would stay again!

飯店小巧可愛有設計感、房內的落地窗看出去心曠神怡，房間雖然不大，但稍微挪動家具還是能夠攤平29吋行李，不過可惜房內沒有全身鏡。櫃台人員親切且英文溝通沒問題，1樓的拿鐵很好喝，是一次很舒服的住宿體驗。
