Loved my first stay in Nagoya primarily because of this wonderfully located hotel next to great shopping, restaurants, and most importantly, close to Nagoya Station. I will always stay at this hotel - beautiful lobby and clean and up to date rooms.

Elegant hotel near the train station with a stunning view of the city! The hotel is built on top of a regular business building so most floors enjoy a good view of the city, and you can even see Mt. Fuji from the lobby. We had the queen one-bed room, which was on the smaller side of things and made it slightly tricky to maneuver two luggage cases. But our view was amazing. This hotel is popular with families who are probably going to the Ghibli park, so you can hear children crying and screaming in the hallways from time to time, luckily, our room was not near this, and we enjoyed a lovely, quiet evening. The public bath was decently-sized, but had only one soaking bath instead of two or three like other hotels. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. The highlight of this hotel would be their staff, who were all super professional and detail-oriented. They really care about their guests and the quality of their service is felt at every corner. I highly recommend this hotel and would come back any time I’m in Nagoya!

It was bit difficult to find after you get off the train. The direction to get there was not easy to follow. However, the hotel is easier to find if the directions given used stores on the street as landmarks. Anyway, when you get there, the hotel is quite nice. I’d consider staying there again if I were touring places near Nagoya by bus (Meitetsu Bus very near). Am glad I didn’t buy the room with breakfast because this gave us more options outside the hotel for that. There is laundry available and was quite easy to use.

Location was great, just a 10 minutes walk from Nagoya Station and the Meitetsu Nagoya line that goes to the airport.
Just next to the hotel is the fabulous Komeda’s Coffee. Our favourite place for breakfast.
Room was clean and we had a nice room with a view facing Nagoya Sation and its surroundings.
We had a massive bed that’s bigger than a King size.
We had two nights here and we highly recommend it for travellers to Nagoya.

Clean room and excellent reception staff. Special mention of Ms Tsugi who helped us find the appropriate doctor to see for my friend’s allergies and ensuring the doctor we saw can speak English. In fact the whole crew including the manager was extremely helpful and even asked us how my friend was after seeing the doctor. This is the 2nd time i stayed here and the service standard is consistently good. Will stay here again if in Nagoya. Many thanks to the great staff there.

Not a ‘touristy’ area with no souvenir shops or western fooderies (which is great). Would definitely stay here again.

I already expected the room to be on the smaller side, but it turned out to be even smaller than I imagined. I booked a double-bed room, yet there was barely enough space to open two suitcases at the same time. The location is excellent and very convenient, but the room size is definitely a downside.

Breakfast offers a good variety and tastes quite nice, but the service could be improved. It was hard to find staff for seating, and after finishing breakfast, tables were left uncleared for a long time. Even after informing the staff, it still took some time before anyone came.

The hot spring area is quite nice, though the men’s changing room had an unpleasant odor every day, like accumulated sweat. It might be worth checking the ventilation or cleaning schedule.

Overall, despite the small room and service issues, the hotel’s location and accessibility are truly outstanding.

Overall very good property and very clean, with an incredible bath/spa area. The only issues were that the room seem es quite small for the price (close to a business hotel), and the wifi was substandard—slow and kept dropping. But overall a very good experience!

Positives. Very clean. Comfortable. Cafe/bar on site is nice. Great spa. Central to train station and subway. Lots of nearby convenience stores. Easy to get to.

Negatives: Amenities and service slightly lacking for the price point.

Staff is polite and pleasant but inexperienced. It takes quite a bit of explaining (even without the language barrier) what you need. (This is common in Japan as older experienced service workers have aged out of hospitality. And younger Gen Z people are just entering the field).

Also basic amenities like laundry are below standard. There is no full serve. Only self serve. There are 2 washers for the entire hotel. So chances are they will be busy or broken.

No room service.

Located in a business area so not exactly relaxing or cultural you’ll have to subway or can to the nicer areas for fancier meals and nightlife.

Next time I’ll probably stay in one of the nicer neighborhoods at a higher end hotel so I don’t have to scramble to get services like laundry or late night food.

We stayed at Mitsui garden in Ginza last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a hotel from the same chain for our trip to Japan this year. Staff are courteous, professional and speak good English. Bed is very comfortable too. Several reservations were made as the hotel was used as our base to explore the neighbouring region. When we arrived early for our second reservation , we deposited our carry on luggage from our overnight visit to kiso valley and reception staff were kind enough to offer to place all our luggage in our room when we returned later for check in. We will definitely return when we next visit Nagoya.

Best hotel in my life. Large bus tub ‘ Dai-Yokujo’ is perfect to heel and relax your body. If you want to visit Tokyo, Osaka, Ise, Hida-Takayama, etc within short term, this is the best stay and 5 minutes walk distance to Nagoya station.

Front line needs Attention

We have a high expectation living at Mitsui Garden since it's a famous brand and named as a PREMIER. Maybe language is a barrier which I don't expect this will happen at an international deluxe hotel like Mitsui Garden. Our overall experience during check in was good and staffs were willing to help with the 2 laundry machines that everybody was trying to use. Anyways, I am very happy that there's laundry facilities since we had some babies clothes to wash.

When it comes to breakfast which was an option, the services at the reception is unacceptable. If she couldn't explain to her guests in English, please put signages to assist her. She's embarrassing us at the entrance. I think some guests might have experience that at a Fish Market or Car Rentals as language is a barrier and they made you look stupid. I couldn't imagine this will happen at a deluxe hotel Mitsui Garden PREMIER.

We stayed mid March, it was 18 degrees outside and they turned off the air-conditioning in the lobby which made it really stuffy, not very welcoming. If you forget to bring ur facial products they do have the usual cleanser, toner, moisturiser. The shampoo and conditioner provided caused my hair to be super dry, I had to buy hair treatment and leave-in conditioner. The double bed was quite small and squeezy for 2. Everything else was ok. Will stay again but perhaps book a room with a bigger bed as the location is pretty good.

Hotel not too far from Nagoya station

Walking distance from Nagoya station. Hotel website has helpful videos on how to reach hotel above ground or via underground link from station. Can be pretty confusing using underground link for 1st timers to Nagoya station. Station is massive. It was raining on our arrival, so the walk was wet and seem quite far to walk with luggage. Hotel reception is on 18th floor. Room is small but Queen bed is good size for us. Not much space to open up 2 medium luggage. Lots of eateries and convenience shops near hotel. We didn't take hotel breakfast. There was a popular cafe next to hotel, on the right, which offer a good variety of meals. Entrance to underground linkway is outside of hotel entrance. Take the lift to the basement and walk through 2 buildings to reach the station.

I left my luggage with the reception when I had to make a 2-day trip to Tokyo. When I returned to Nagoya and checked in again, the staff used their initiative to transfer my luggage to my newly assigned room. This was much appreciated because I checked in near midnight and was carrying some luggage from my Tokyo trip.

Hotel exceeded expectations, I believe this hotel is more impressive in person - also very easy to get to if you’re traveling on the Shinkansen train. We traveled throughout Japan for about a month and the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was the most memorable for me without a doubt.

Had a decent stay. The lobby / reception was done up very nice and has a nice view (being on the 18th floor). Hotel rooms were from level 19-25 if I recall. There’s also a public bath on level 18 that’s open from 3pm-9am, which was nice. Managed to get an early morning soak without anyone there. Hotel is a short walk from Nagoya station and didn’t have trouble finding it at all. Staff were decent, however the normal rooms were quite stock standard and small. Amenities are at the lobby and not in your room, so be sure to collect them before heading to your room. Overall a decent stay.

The only down side was I missed out on Hitsumabushi as I did not know that there were limited quantities. I should have been informed at checkin as I had breakfast included in my room rate so I had salmon instead which was amazingly tasty!

The hotel is very near the Nagoya JR Towers so it is convenient. The bath is nice. The value is okay. The hotel does not add much more than other cheaper hotels in the area. However, this hotel is newer and has a certain shine to it. I will look at other hotels in the area and consider the price and what they offer next time.

Great stay overall

This hotel was a great choice for my Nagoya trip. The onsen was fantastic, and the twin room was comfortable and clean. It was also convenient to walk to the train station. While there could be more washing machines, I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to Nagoya station. A little inconvenient for us because the elevator to access underground passage to the station was out of service when we were there. Plenty of shops & eateries around the hotel.
Our room was clean. A bit small with 2 large suitcases but ok.
