Convenient and clean

Clean, nice staff. Ridiculously close to Nagoya station. You can almost walk to the station undercover by going into the KITTE building diagonally across the road at the traffic lights. Just go up the stairs or take the escalator. Breakfast buffet was really good. They have the best breakfast potato fries I have ever had.

There's no baby changing station in the lobby which is a big minus for family travelers. The hotel is for singles or couples at most. Banquet facilities in the lobby make for a nice environment but lacks the amenities such as a shoe shine station or baby changing station to set it apart. The surrounding neighborhood should meet those needs but ultimately lacks the accoutrements to make it an excellent stay.

Size is typical Japan size, cleaniness is good. Very near to Nagoya train station, walking distance , around 7mins.
Range of restaurants within walking distance. One convenient shop just downstairs of the hotel. 2mins down the junction you can find a tax-free drug store.. one thing to feedback is the air-con, the whole day and night, I don’t feel any aircon at all

Disappointing service

We chose this hotel due to its location which was very convenient. Unfortunately we had a miscommunication regarding the rooms- we had the expectation that if 3 people were staying in one of the rooms there would be 3 beds provided, or at least a day bed or couch. However this was not the case. The staff were not at all sympathetic to the mistake, and in no way assisted us with the problem- they did not even provide a pillow or blanket for the 3rd person, even though they knew when the room was booked and at check in that 3 people would be in the room.
The location is convenient to the station, however the restaurant was not open and there was a lot of road noise.

Great value for money, delicious buffet breakfast, some vegetarian choices. Excellent position, very close to Nagoya station. Very clean, good water pressure in the shower. The only negative was that the wifi was weak from the room but you are more than welcome to sit in the spacious lobby where it is better.

The hotel is about 8mins walk from Nagoya station and Family Mary is right at the entrance of the hotel. Hotel staff is friendly with simple English , which is not a concern. It was raining that day and the hotel does provide free umbrella for guests to use. Room is small as usual for Japan standard but it’s good enough for myself for business travel. Cleanliness is good which is always the main factor for me when comes to choosing hotel.. Breakfast is kind of Japanese plus western with sausages and scramble eggs..

3 Days on Business, Very Convenient Location

The hotel is immediately in front of the main train station in Nagoya so the location can't be beat. It's not a high-end hotel but the rooms were clean, quite and comfortable. Not luxurious but a comfortable stay. The free wi-fi was stable and fast. The only downside was breakfast. It was 1500 yen and not really worth it. Consider a coffee shop or bakery in the station, just across the street.

Toilet with smell

Not clean especially the washroom which is with bad smell even the hotel has change another room for us ( a little bit better) and some mould on ceiling. A very dirty hanger had been found in toilet and have to ask for change. That is impossible no one notice. No coin laundry. Absolutely no next time.

Fair hotel with ok location

It takes about 10-15 mins walk from JR Station.
The hotel staff was a bit cool and not friendly.
The facilities are a bit worn out. The air conditioner was not functioning well, the warm air was too hot and temperature could not be adjusted, ultimately the staff helped to unlock the window for lowering the room temperature. However, this made the room was too noisy to sleep.
The toilet seat cover was cold, it did not like those in public areas or other hotels in Japan in which toilet seat covers are heated automatically.

Convenient location, rude staff, weird room layout

I arrive at 11am for check-in and baggage drop. As the time was early, I was told that I could collect my room key when I return at night and that all check-in procedure was completed. However, when I collect room key at night, another rude male staff blamed me for not finishing all check-in procedure and still asked for the key.

I have never be treated in such an impolite manner at any hotels, especially when the case was small and he could simply ask me for one simple signature to complete the procedure.

I always enjoy staying in Hotel Sunroute Shinjuku and it was why I expected the same type of quality service in and selected Hotel Sunroute Nagoya. He totally ruined my holiday mood and impression of Sunroute's hotel.

Besides the room layout was weird that the wind of air con blows straight to your head after lying down. I had headache after staying for one night.

I would not recommend anyone to stay here.

Tiny room, even by Jaoanese standards

We stayed at the sunroute to be near the station, as we had an early flight out. It was less than ten minutes to all the major stations, in a quieter part of the station area. Room was very small, and the bathroom was almost impossibly small to use--the toilet nearly blocks the doorway. Beds are shockingly firm, yet comfortable. Front desk staff was pleasant, although occasionally distracted. Breakfast staff was surly. It was the only breakfast during our two-week trip that was completely disappointing. I'd stay again if I had to be near the station. Otherwise, I think there are better deals and nicer places to stay.

Typical Japanese hotel setup

You have all accommodations needed for a restful night. Only stayed for a single night but it's within walking distance or the main station, a shuttle that takes you to a building you can see the entire city of Nagoya from, and is near some entertainment shops here and there. I have no complaints.

Hotel is within 5-10 minutes walk from Nagoya station, but the neighborhood is quiet and doesn't have many shops downstairs. Like many other Japanese hotels, the room is small, but tidy. For the price we paid, this was okay. Wouldn't mind staying here again.

As far as business hotels go, this one was nice. The small room was in good condition, staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well. My room was upgraded, and I recieved a free breakfast, even though that wasn't included. All of this is pleasing because I didn't pay that much, either.

Room is clean. Great hospitality. Convenient store right downstairs for people arriving late night. Typical size of Japan business hotel. It's about 10 min walk from JR station. Maybe a bit difficult for traveler with lots of luggage, or when it rains/snow. Can hear a little bit of noise from the large construction site across. Not too bothersome.

The room was spacious and clean with a friendly and helpful staff. The bed was a little on the firm side for me but I was still comfortable. The hotel was near the train and subway stations but on the edge of the city nightlife, so you either had to walk a decent distance or rely on city transit.

Good location, big room

The hotel is location in central Nagoya and is just 7 mins walk from underground train station. It was just next to the large department store Takeshimaya (and Tokyo Hands) so make it very convenient. The room is quite big and clean. But the decoration was quite old. The free wifi inside can only connect to 1 device which make it very inconvenient (as I have 2 smartphones and 1 tablet PC)

This hotel is very modern, clean, and well organised. If you're arriving by Shinkansen, then getting to the hotel is a breeze, as it's located an easy 10 minute walk from Nagoya Station. Hotel staff were very attentive and polite, and all whom I dealt with spoke good enough English to assist with my needs. The room i had (single) was very good. Bed was comfy, air con was fantastic, internet, fridge, and TV all worked well. Bathroom was also very nice, and everything looked very new. Location is pretty good, but is slightly out of the middle of the city. However, the area surrounding Nagoya station has heaps of shopping and restaurants, and Nagoya castle is just down the road, too. Overall, I believe this would make a great choice if you are looking at visiting Nagoya.

It was my first trip to Nagoya. The hotel is very close to JR Nagoya station.
The room is small but very clean and functional.
My only complaint was a hard bed.
Since it was my first time staying at so-called \"Business Hotel\", I cannot compare with other hotels with same rank, but definitely harder than full service hotel.
But other than that, good value for the price paid!

Good central location, within five minutes walk from Nagoya station. Hotel and service generally good. Room was a little dated, and could have done with a change of carpet. Only other criticisms would be that there was no room safe and the system of having to hand your room key in so that the hotel can identify when to clean your room seemed unnecessary; a knock on the door and/or use of the 'do not disturb' sign would have sufficed. All in all, fine for a budget hotel. If you want something more modern/upmarket, you may want to consider an alternative.

The Hotel was terrific. We were met with very courteous staff and nothing was any trouble. It was all very comfortable and clean and very near to the atation so that was a great thing. A 5 minute walk. Id recommend it to anyone wanting a classy hotel with great accomodation and near the railway station for easy access of food, tourist information and not far to all the big main depatment stores.

La habitación era para no fumadores, y aún en la entrada el de recepción nos hizo referencia en que no se podía fumar (ni mi pareja ni yo fumamos), y al entrar a la habitación, está olía a puro cigarro y fue muy incómodo ya que en lo particular yo no soporto el olor a cigarro, y las cobijas olían a humedad.

交換してあるはずのシーツに埃の塊と毛が付いていました。浴室にも毛が何本か落ちていて気分が悪かったです。浴槽は小さめで足が伸ばせないユニットバスなので、お湯は溜めずにシャワーのみの利用を想定したものだと思われます。高層階だったので景色が綺麗なはずでしたが、窓が汚れていてあまり綺麗な景色ではなかったです。ホテル自体が古いので、窓の汚れは経年劣化で仕方ないのかもしれません。

快適でした！また利用したいです。

ホテルのコンセプトは素敵で、部屋も広く動線が考えられていて快適でした。また利用したいと思います。
アメニティーサービスは普通でした。
お値段はリーズナブルでよかったです。

ただ、チェックイン時、フロントの女性が無愛想で、声が小さくて会話が聞き取りにくいうえ、こちらがタッチパネルの動作を間違えたら1つ1つ注意してくるので、いない方がよいなぁと思いました。
