Both hotel exterior and interior look new and modern. The rooms are small but otherwise clean and functional. Everything you need is there. The separation of dry and wet areas in the bathroom is appreciated. Bed is comfy. Could consider providing a wider variety of disposable amenities/toiletries at the amenity corner beyond basic stuff like toothbrush, comb and shaving kit.

Relatively new hotel with nice facilities and close to Nagoya station.

I would give it 5-star rating except we were not allowed to check in early by only 30 minutes (1:30pm instead of 2pm) even though the room was available. The front desk is not very friendly when asked about body lotion etc. (there are none).

We requested a quiet room at booking but were disappointed that we still had to discuss it with the front desk when check-in and ended up being given a room facing a busy road (and the shrine).

The laundry facility is available on multiple floors and the machines were quite new including washing/dryer combo machines.

Walking distance (less than 10 min) to the station where there are lots of dining options. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many Japanese and Thai/Vietnamese dishes.

The hotel was a good location and easy walk to many shopping places and to Nagoya station. The only complaint is that the rooms seemed a bit outdated and there were a lot of minor cosmetic improvements that need to be made (chipped furniture, wall paper coming off(. Check in and check out we're easy and the 7/11 downstairs was very convenient

Very close to Nagoya station, my room was large for Japan, with room for working on my computer. The Vietnamese restaurant associated with the hotel, was good and convenient, when I did not want to brave the decision making involved in selecting as restaurant in one of the restaurants around the hoetl The breakfast there was a bargain when made with my reservation.

Firstly we accidently booked a smoking room with kids so on arrival requested for a non smoking room. The place was booked out so we couldn't change rooms until the next day.

Staff were very helpful and attempted to help as much as possible.

The smoking room and non smoking room made a big difference in cleanliness and vibe. So be sure to check or else like us we had to have the windows open , AC and air purifier on all night and the smell never went away.

We book for 4 people but only was accommodated for 2 in the room on the first night with 2 pillows and 2 towels only, Had to request for more pillows but they ran out and asked us if stuffed pillow cases with towels were ok. Not like there was much of a choice anyways. So the start of our stay felt like a nightmare.

We changed rooms the next day and everything was different. Room felt cleaner and fresher, there were 4 sets of pillow, towels and pjs. We had better sleep and my children could sleep in peace.

Walkable distance from Nagoya station and various day tour pick up spots. The room was clean and big. I had a deep soaking tub. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. They helped me called my next hotel to check if they are able to receive and hold my luggage. Unfortunately i forgotten to take photos. The photos in hotels.com does not do the room justice. The room look bigger and in real life. One thing to note, the hotel only has 3 levels with washing machine, you may need to wash your clothes at odd hours as there are not enough to go around.

7-11 in lobby along with Vietnamese Restaurant that also serves as breakfast buffet area. Staff at restaurant always seemed stressed out though. Shower was great with a tub in the shower room itself. Food was good. Laundry available on three floors. Wish it was a little closer to station but only 9 minute walk to Nagoya Station

daiwa roynet will not disappoint

i have been to other daiwa roynet hotels and this hotel will not disappoint. Just a few minutes from Nagoya station. A lot of malls, restos and convenience stores nearby. 711 and animate just outside the hotel. staff was friendly and easy to talk to. will consider this hotel the next time we visit nagoya :)

Watch out for smoking rooms!

I was a bit annoyed with them (and myself) as I'd accidentally booked a smoking room. I hadn't done this intentionally and hadn't spotted it on my booking. Seriously, who offers smoking rooms in this day and age? Time warp to the 1960s??! Anyway,. the hotel said they'd sold out of smoking rooms and I had to pay extra to upgrade. The hotel was a bit soulless and I wouldn't choose to stay again.

Very good location. Close to central station, supermarket, restaurants and many convenience stores around.
Rooms are small, but not worse than the average Japanese hotel. Daily cleaning was flawless.
Nice shower, but the tiny bathtub is a waste of space. Front desk was friendly and always tried to be helpful.

Everything was accessible, a short walk to Nagoya Station so it was easy to catch a train to Legoland. Also Max Value was close by for groceries as well. Loved the area. Thank you.

Great location, walkable to Nagoya Train Station. They let us leave our bags at the front desk before checkin so that we could explore the city. Room was small, but was acceptable for our needs. Very nice breakfast. Be sure to ask for water before checkout day because they won't give you any on the day of checkout.

I enjoy staying at the Daiwa Roynet chain. The rooms are clean with decent sized bath and toilets. Aircon working well. Although in- room toiletries are limited, you can get a few essential items at the lobby counter.
I like the Pajamas provided as they are very comfortable.

We booked two rooms for three nights of stay. Can’t believe that there are still smoking rooms in Japan when smoking is not allowed on the streets in Nagoya. We ended up having to pay a large amount of extra fee to upgrade the two rooms to non-smoking rooms.

Walkable from Nagoya station around 5mins. Just below the hotel there is 7-eleven and another bigger 7-eleven just across the hotel.

There is also a 24hrs supermarket further down from the bigger 7-eleven where you can grab some decent food to heat up in the hotel(hotel has microwave, ice machine and washing machine at certain floors.)

For people who like animation, Animate store is just beside the hotel.

Check in is at 2pm but you can leave your luggages while you explore nearby area. Check out is easy by dropping your card at the auto check out machine. Overall a very pleasant stay. :)
