A little bit dark but we were out most of the time so it didn’t matter. Easy walk (15 mins) to all tourist attractions. I would recommend.

Chose to stay at Rosa Melaka on a 2 nights trip to Melaka with the family.

It was our first time in the city/hotel but the staff put us at ease right from the smooth checking in process & continued to go the extra mile with any of our requests.

The rooms are a decent size and relatively clean with the expected amenities. Only thing I can critique is the hygiene of the towels could improve -but I am sure this is something they will improve on.

We had breakfast on one of the days and it had a healthy amount of options at a reasonable price. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted good! They have high team and buffet options during the day as well but I did not get a chance to try those.

Hotel is located 15-30 minute walk from everything a tourist is supposed to see. Melaka is not exactly pedestrian friendly though so setting up grab on your phone is advisable. Property has lots of space for car parking as well.

Overall I would definitely recommend staying at Rosa for your next trip here as I surely will stay here again myself! :)

Great place to stay if you're traveling to Malacca for a short trip (I stayed 3d2n). Service from the front desk was impeccable! Location is near to the busy Jonker area (few minutes drive/ride) but far away to be less crowded. However, the immediate area around the property does not have much. There is a petrol station a few steps away with a mart so that'll be the best place for necessities. Food wise, we ate at Bica & Courtyard once and food was fantastic (nasi lemak spaghetti!). Immediate vicinity does not seem to have much good food but you can probably get food delivery if you want to eat in.

Easy parking, lots of food options within 2-3 min walking distance, complete room amenities, good selection of TV channels, nice cosy gym, lovely breakfast offering and setting. Our stay in Rosa malacca was sweet and sour. The hotel was converted from an industrial building. Interior design is impressive. Staff is friendly. Walking to city center is a bit challenging because there’s no sidewalk along the way. Overall cleanliness is good. We were on the second floor and people dining in the cafe echoed lots of noise inside the enclosed garden. The sour experience is we found out at the airport that US$1300 was missing in a sealed envelope which has been locked in the safe inside the room during the stay. The trip was more expensive than we planned.

It’s surprising to find a property with minimalist interior design yet comfort and convenience are not compromised. I love the decor from the moment I stepped into the ground floor guests waiting area, to the first floor where the reception and the cafe are located, and finally into the room I was assigned.

Everything screamed upscale and award-winning features. The lighting was just right with brown lights and bubbly lampshades. That makes the room cozy, sexy and relaxing.

Everything I need in a room, eg functioning air conditioning and good heated water pressure are in tiptop condition.

Is there a ten-plus-one star that I can give to my favorite hotel? Yes, this is now in my list of my most fascinating hotels to stay in Melaka. And Rosa I has surpassed all the rest of the previous hotels in my favorite list to the number one spot.

Our 2nd time staying here. However, the experience this time is kinda disappointing. The room is really hot and stuffy when we enter. The aircon wasn't really working as well, it is not cooling the room at all. The toilet was also very cramp compared to the previous stay. The remote for the TV or the TV was not functioning properly as well.
We managed to speak to one of the house keeping crew who was cleaning the other room to get some new batteries for the TV remote. However, it doesn't seem to be the case and he did not tell us anything and when we ask him about the aircon, he again pressed something then left.Maybe it would be nice if he could communicate to us what is happening instead of just walking off. Luckily, the aircon starts to get cool but the TV is still acting weird. There is no Netflix on available as well. If possible please avoid room 404 or probably the rooms of the same stack. Will probably consider staying in another hotel the next time i visit Malacca.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff and round the clock security. Decor was strict to the theme and owner is very proud of the Rosa name as many of the items in the room bore it's name. Hot shower was ever ready and perhaps a little too much cos even the tap had hot water!

Wasn't walking distance to Jonker and breakfast wasn't fantastic. Grab to most attractions were within RM12.

Allocated room was just above the conference room and there was a conference that started at 9am on a Saturday! Sound-proofing should be improved as we were woken up by cheers, clapping and noises from the conference room. Feedback to the staff was well-received as noise level was lower on Sunday but we were still woken up at 9am. There was no initiative to offer a room change despite our feedback. Parking was plentiful but sheltered parking lots were limited.

If you ask me if I would stay here again? Yes I would.

1. Since the lobby is on the 1st floor, the guest receiving area /lounge should have a more proactive or trained staff. A security guard may not cut it.

2. Room service should be made available. At the time I was there, food can be ordered on the phone but guest has to collect the food from cafe.

3. The breakfast buffet should have a better spread for 38.10/pax.

4. Maybe place to hang cloths should be a bit longer.

5. The room I stayed was for 4 person. The number of power outlets were limited for guests use and kinda not very convenient to plug or unplug.

These comments are my personal opinion. It is not meant to tarnish the hotel’s reputation. I feel if these small things are looked at, it would be a better place to stay.

Otherwise, cleanliness is excellent, very spacious and comfortable room, staff at reception and cafe are always smiling, ample parking, not too far from town centre.

Nice Quaint Hotel with Aircon Issues

The only issue I have at Rosa Hotel which unfortunately is a big one for me was the air conditioning system. It is operated via split system and not centralized. Hence there is no way to adjust the fast speed which blows directly onto one of the beds for the Family Suite. The aircon vent was also loud and rattling. Apart from this, I would have rated the hotel high on all fronts.

The interior design is superb!!.Bed & pillow so comfy, room spacious and well decorated, excellent services by staff from front office, housekeeping, F & B and also security staff. Breakfast is extremely tasty ( we ate nasi lemak & big breakfast) + buffet line with good selection; fresh watermelon juice and rosemary + lemon infusion water are just perfect.

Perfect pictures to shoot and the best part ; worth every penny. We took family suite room and its exactly as per photo in the website.

Great Place to re-stay again.

mix of al la carte and buffet options but would better to keep seating areas separate for either - breakfast al la carte food was very nice and I would much prefer to have just a la carte and pay a bit more if thats what it takes for staffing
coffee bar doesn't open until 12 noon but coffee on offer at breakfast not great - please offer at breakfast time !
hotel is a short walk from town but there is no pavement and at night is a bit hairy as very busy road and no lighting
we found it hard to get grabs at night and or when it is busy in the evenings
overall a great hotel - and would recommend - can be even better with better organisation of breakfast time
they can't do much about the roads but it is an important factor if you are not able to walk far or have children with you !

I stayed in room 320, there’s leakage in the sewage but this was not resolved though I provided the feedback. Housekeeper did not replenish sufficient towels and the guy came back saying that he only collected 2 soiled towels and this replaced only 2. I told him that towels were missing to start with! Also did not refill the tissue box. Generally the guy was not detailed. Glasses were all stained. Please improve the standard. Aircon is very noisy. Is it possible to do something about it?

Service by all staff at the hotel was great, but the condition of the rooms, bedding, and smell in the bathrooms not ok. We left one night early, and was the right decision when they had a wedding booked in and the noise travelling between rooms and from the entertainment area started the day and night before we left and was continuing the next day. Location is also too far from town. Would not recommend. Don’t understand the ratings.

Beautiful and Instagram worthy. Upon arrival receptionist was very professional and polite but wasn’t warm and welcoming as per other hotels that I’ve stayed before in Malacca. My deluxe king room was beautifully furnished but it faces the opposite room across the courtyard so I felt a little conscious to open the heavy curtains. Bed was comfy but pillows too soft for my liking. Bathroom was super clean but I felt the floor in room felt a little dusty. Fortunately bedroom slippers were provided. The corridors leading to the rooms were slightly dark, to reflect New York industrial design - so if you are used to fancy bright corridors, this isn’t for you. What I liked about this hotel was that it’s so quiet, so it was very relaxing. Breakfast which I purchased ala carte was yummy and the staff at the Bica & Co cafe was friendly and warm - atypical of most Malaccans. The surrounding shops in the area was a little boring - I wished there was at least a convenient store nearby. However Jonker Street and the city center cost just RM5 to get to by Grab.
