Nice terrace house turned into Boutique Hotel & beautiful Rooftop.
- Overall experienced was nice. However the roads to the hotel is not so convenient, easily missed the side roads.
- Staff was great & friendly. But there is no lift access which can be tough for anyone with knees pain.
- Hot water may not be switch On at all times, & this can be inconvenent for guests.
- Just a suggestions, the staircases is slippery may work on something to enhance the safety.

This small unique hotel was exactly as advertised .
You could see the architect had cleverly reconstructed and re designed turning an old structure into this modern one .
We had one of two downstairs garden rooms which we were thankful for as other rooms had quite a climb up many steps .
Comfortable rooms , decent space , pillows bed all good . Loved the shower open air ventilations to small garden area .
Communal area with snacks , filtered water . Tea coffee .
Quiet area ( only noise occasionally from one of the cats hoping to visit room )only 10 minutes walk to town or get Grab .Both staff members exceedingly friendly and helpful .
Enjoyed our 3 nights there.

A very small simple hotel in an alley but rich in kindness, warmth and the two men manning the hotel were so helpful and gentle. The hotel was the cleanest place I’d ever stayed in with better service than any 5 star hotels. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Nous avons séjournés deux nuits au Nest House. Nous n’avons que de bonne chose à dire sur cet hôtel boutique. Le personnel est avenant, notre chambre était très confortable. Nous avions accès à divers produits café, thé même des nouilles dans une cuisinette à côté de la réception. Frigo, bouilloire, micro-ondes.

Nous pouvions aussi disposer d’une belle terrasse sur le toit avec tables et fauteuils.
L’endroit est un peu en retrait de la rue principale ce qui ajoute au calme..

Staff is very helpful, The Nest House provides coffee, tea, noodles at a counter in the lobby.
At first look, it doesn’t seem to have a lot to see around but we were wrong. In fact, you can walk to the old Dutch and Chinese quarters and shop all the way in huge shopping centers.
Don’t hesitate to feed in local restaurants !

We add one more night at the hotel to visit.

Good place to rest your head in Malacca

Very clean, big rooms and unlimited free tea, coffee and snacks. Staff very helpful and friendly.
There are no lifts so staff offer to carry heavy luggage to the upstairs rooms. The hotel's no-shoes policy may be considered to be a safety issue in some western countries and by some guests. The hotel might like to advertise this policy in advance.

A little pricey considering the size of the room. There's a little common pantry with free flow of coffee, cream crackers and maggi in a cup.

Nice hotel, good service but a few issues I found, I didn't have a good night sleep because being on the ground floor next to reception was very noisy, lots of banging and throughout the night. Also there is a very strict check out process where they will check your room before you leave, which seems like they mistrust every customer that stays but over all its probably a nice stay if you aren't on the ground floor

The property is well designed and felt like a home stay. There was a small area for making tea and coffee as well as noodles which was great. The staff were really helpful in suggesting what to do. Melaka is great in the evening and the hotel is close to the centre. It is hot in Melaka so the air conditioning was great. Would definitely stay here again. The artwork and overall vibe is great.

It's a renovated corner terrace. Room is basic and toilet is very cramp and small. Toilet's window is covered with metal mesh and a board. The board block from neck down. No proper windows door.
Room is clean except that the bedsheet is stained. No housekeeping.

The place is clean & secure, pantry has some instant snacks & cup noodles which is good but no lift - I stay at level 3, hence need to climb stairs. No phone in room, so whatever u need from reception, need climb up & down too, u need drink also same but at least they have bottle water for us. My mum only drink boiled water so I need to climb up & down just to get it for her. More suitable for youngster stay

Amazing eco-homestay hotel

Very friendly hotel/homestay concept certainly lived up to it high rating. Exceptional levels of cleanliness and quality throughout. I really appreciate the idea of no shoes policy throughout.

Japandi styled decor worked really well in this architect designed building and right up my street. Love the polished concrete floors and eco credential. Little touches like the naturally ventilated showers may be missed by the untrained eye.

Not suitable for elderly,as we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to the bedroom on 3rd floor.Also have to carry own luggage up.The moment i step into the room, i notice ants at the window area. Bathroom size is quite small. I opted for extra bed, but got a single size mattress on the floor instead. Location is good, parking is good too. Coffee,tea and snacks provided near reception.Would be better if there is a kettle in the room to boil water.

This is my second time staying in this small petite but amazing hotel. As expected, hotel, surrounding, room are spotless. I book a room with a small garden and it was awesome!

As now there a high cases of covid 19, the hotel has taken a decent action following all the SOP to the guests.

Check in was fast and easy. Staff (especially Mr Lee and the housekeeping guy) were very helpful and friendly.

In addition, The location is superb and closed to Malacca city center. They have upgrade the parking area for the guest as well. Keep it up!

clean and well-maintained property. the staff provided an extra bed for our baby without us requesting for it. very thoughtful of the staff. the pantry is f.o.c. and it is well-stocked. however, we were allocated a room facing the back of a chinese restaurant. so the restaurant staff chitchat and preparation was kind of noisy at night. the bathroom was kind of squeezy but the bedroom was spacious.

I've stayed here before, and am pleased to see that the place is as well-maintained as it was a year ago. The reservation and check-in process was smooth. Steven & Kelly provided all info promptly, accurately, and allowed us to check in a bit early. Car-parking is immediately adjacent to the property; very convenient.
Our room overlooked the road in front. Views are not great, but can't be helped. The immediate neighbourhood isnt attractive (it's actually along the backlane of several shophouses). The property itself, however, is clean, stylish and comfortable. Room has no safe, no comb/toothbrush, no fridge.

What I liked - room decor is stylish and contemporary. The bed and linen is very comfortable. Location is very close to Pahlawan mall & restaurants. Aircon is effective. No shoes are allowed in the premises, so it's kept clean. Lobby has free and 24-hr snacks and tea/coffee.... very much appreciated.

What I didn’t like - the water in the shower never got hot during my three-day stay there. Frustrating.

All in all though, I can recommend Nest House as one of the more attractive and interesting places to stay in Melaka - but please, fix the hot water issue!

I like that it feels like I'm coming back to a clean, comfortable and nice home. The pantry has sufficient items. The guests sitting area in front of the check-in/staff desk is comfortable. The room is great. All-in-all, everything is good.

Just minor suggestion. Not sure whether The Nest House receives a lot of Muslim guests. But it may be useful if you show \"Qiblat\" direction (the direction where we face to pray) as small mark on the floor.

I've stayed here twice. Definitely will be staying again the next time I come to Melaka :) Love it!

Nestled behind shophouses and busy streets in the day, the Nest House managed to keep serenity and tranquility for the guests. The moment we stepped in, it felt like home. The room I stayed in was Deluxe Queen Room, located at ground level, was smaller than expected but was very clean and pleasant. Fresh linens, towels, shampoo, soap, and conditioner were provided. Wifi was strong. We loved the pantry where the owner provided biscuits, fruits, bread and even instant noodles, complimentary for the guests. Mr. Lee was very friendly and patient during check in.

Downside was there is no elevator in this property, this anyone with disability need to request for room most convenient for them.

We only stayed here for one night, but it was a great little hotel. It is within walking distance to the old town and all the attractions, super close to a shopping mall, and there were plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. They have excellent facilities, including a drinking water tap, and also a kitchenette where they offer a simple range of snacks,tea bread and spreads. The room itself was great, a super comfortable bed, AC and a ceiling fan, and an amazing hot shower which was super powerful! I would definetely recommend this hotel, and would love to stay there again!

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay in The Nest House! It feels like home. It's actually more like a homestay than a hotel, but good enough for short stays. The lady boss and other receptionists were very friendly! We didn't manage to book the bigger rooms, but the smaller rooms didn't disappoint. Room was clean, bed was comfortable too. Toilet comes with a rain shower and shower head. Basic amenities are available: hairdryer, hair shampoo & conditioner and body foam. The snacks/cup noodles/fruits at the pantry are free for everyone, the lady boss said she's worried that her guests get hungry in the middle of the night when the shops are closed. You cannot wear your shoes in the hotel, so that's a little bit troublesome but not a biggie at all. No one made up our room during the 2 nights stay, not sure if that's available upon request, but we are fine since it's just a short stay. It's a short walk to the shopping malls, there are a few Peranakan & Korean restaurants, coffee shops, and has a good massage place called Scent & Senses nearby. You can travel around by walking or by taking Grab. Grab is very convenient and cheap! Overall, very pleasant experience! (:

cosy open area. Though room a bit small as expected. Area surrounding the hotel doesn't feel good, smelly. Still highly recommended for such a low cost, good quality and convenience hotel.

Amazing stay in paradise!

Amazing homely boutique hotel homestay concept. Super clean place with great minimalistic design.

Well thought out space and lay out with functional use of the room. Glad the design was kept simple. Loved how the place was so clean and we all had to leave our shoes and slippers outside.
Also great pantry and bar snack below, free flow, all day long with refillable clean water to top up your bottles.

Very safe and convenient area just 5 mins walk from 3 huge mega malls where you can find cinemas and restaurants and shops. Also just a stone throw's away from amazing famous local food!

Great modern, trendy boutique hotel!

This is a wonderful hotel! The staff are very friendly and we had no problems checking in, even though it was quite late.

The hotel is in a quiet area, but it still very near to all of the attractions; they are easily accessible by foot.

The hotel is very modern and contemporary. They have an excellent collection of art on display.

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and they have snacks available downstairs.

I only regret that I didn't have more time to stay another night here. I will recommend this hotel to my fiends and stay again when I return.

Overall, very impressed with the design of this hotel and the service.

Nice decoration, clean and making you feel like at home. A simple bar is offered for complimentary food & drinks which is excellent! Excellent location and the unique decoration is awesome! Only complain is sound proof is not great in the room. For those who are light sleeper might need to take note.

We simply loved the Nest House! It was super clean, the staff were always very polite, and the owners were some of the nicest people we've ever met! We've travelled throughout Southeast Asia, and it's usually impossible to keep humidity out of rooms; hence the design of the bathrooms with the open windows is ingenious, because for once my room was cool and not subject to bathroom humidity. Would 100% stay here again!
