Room 411, executive room with 4 poster bed. The mattress needs upgrading as on the left hand side I felt the springs digging into my back! It was very uncomfortable indeed and I did not sleep very well at all.
The reception staff needed to be a bit more cheerful too and needed to play some background music as it appeared very unwelcoming on entry.

Fabulous breakfast. Rooms are fine although our shower had poor pressure. Lovely location and grand old building. Recommended but make sure you state you want a good shower at check in and check it when you arrive. Really nice staff and a great stay

Walton park hotel, what a great hotel, been here several times. Great place and location, easy parking. Very clean, good food and the bar is really nice to have a drink and relax and a sea view as well, and the staff are amazing.

This is the only real hotel option for Clevedon. Breakfast and service is very good. We had an “Executive Sea View” room which had been recently refurbished. It was clean but very poorly lit. The bathroom refurb left a lot to be desired with the shower still over a high sided bath and the toiletries shelf at the opposite end to the sink. The hotel is located in a great position overlooking the Severn estuary and close to the upmarket Hill Road area of Clevedon which boasts amongst much else one of the best Chinese restaurants in the West Country in our view. In summary an okay hotel with good staff and much greater potential.

We stayed at the hotel for one night for an event so didnt see much of it. However Erika on the front desk was friendly and gave us the information needed. Reception wasnt open between 11 and 7 and access is through a door a few metres away.
The room was basic, with good hot drink options and a small double.

Shower temperature was luke warm due to the toiletries shelf blocking the shower handle from turning to a higher heat so that wasnt great but resolvable if a maintance person can move the shelf. Overall it was nice stay with parking onsite.

Beautiful traditional hotel situated on the coast overlooking the Bristol Channel. The room was very nice. Clean and comfy. The building is a bit dated in some areas and the floors creak a bit, but it's still a lovely place. An on-site bar is open until 11pm and has beautiful views out of large windows also.
The breakfast was excellent also. Lots of choice. Polite and attentive staff throughout also. Hotel is within easy walking distance of Clevedon's pier and town centre also.
The hotel has a large car park which always has plenty of space too. Very happy with our stay.

I’d also forgotten my toothbrush and toothpaste but they had disposable ones at reception

Spacious rooms, but poor service and no WIFI

We stayed at the Best Western Walton Park Hotel before an early flight from Bristol. The hotel phoned ahead to advise that the doors are locked at 22:00, which was proactive. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing.

We arrived at 22:45 and, despite giving our arrival time, it took some time for staff to appear and check us in. The key card to our room didn’t work, and reception was unmanned when we returned. The phone at the desk only gave an automated “reception closed” message. After walking the building, I eventually found a member of staff in the kitchens who was able to help.

The room was spacious and relatively clean, but Wi-Fi was extremely poor. With virtually no phone signal in the building, this was a real issue. Sleep was cut short when guests sat talking on sofas placed in the corridor outside our room — an odd and disruptive choice of location.

Overall, while the hotel has some positives, the poor service, lack of connectivity, and noise meant I wouldn’t stay again.

There were two items on the floor left by the previous occupiers of the room, not good.
The was not a bedside light on one side of the bed.
It was very noisy woke my husband up at 2.30am , when I mentioned this when cheeking out I was told that there are often weddings on a Saturday since we were not part of the wedding we should have had a room away from noise.

Lovely 2nd stay at this hotel. Large room with beautiful views of the Bristol channel. Room had everything I needed, very comfortable bed. Having a restaurant and bar onsite is a plus for me.This time I had lunch and dinner at the restaurant on both days. I thought the food was a bit overpriced for the portion sizes. Breakfast options are good with plenty to choose from. Room and communal areas are clean and tidy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back myself.

Lovely room and the view was amazing. TV in the room had no picture, just audio and I did mention this when I checked out. 4 poster bed looked amazing but was rather lumpy so difficult to get comfy. Plenty of room in the room. Seats by the window were great. Huge, roomy bathroom and shower. Food in the restaurant was ok but pricey. Breakfast was lovely - buffet style continental and cooked.

Nice hotel, free parking and nice staff. Our room was on the second floor so in the roof essentially and very hot with only a small velux window so needed a fan going all night. The mattress was not good and I suspect quite old. Staff are lovely and moved us to another room on the same floor as we had a wasp nest just outside the velux window.

The room didn’t have shelf in the bathroom to put toothbrush on etc, towels were difficult to reach above toilet . No fridge to keep things cool. Very small room and no provisions for dog such as dog water bowl despite charging £10 extra per night.
The staff were very friendly but the hotel had very little suitable area for the dog . Not really a dog friendly hotel as advertised in my opinion. I felt it was expensive for what it was . Pets pyjamas do it so well I will stick with them from now on

We have stayed many times & have always had better rooms than this stay. The room was small & the bed was hard and lumpy. Getting out of the walk-in shower was tricky as it was a big step down through a tiny opening, with a low window ledge jutting out into the gap and the toilet directly in front of it.

The executive room we had was very clean with an amazing view. The bed was not very comfortable and pillows very hard.
The only restaurant open in the evening was The Terrace with a limited menu. Disappointing. However the food was very good.

Difficulty finding parking space after a long drive, stuck in traffic in hot weather - arrived at 8.45 pm and wasn’t even able to get a sandwich to eat - no aircon which due to the age of the hotel I understand may be difficult but it was so hot couldn’t sleep so at least a fan should be provided. No spare toilet roll and was not changed so ran out. Very creaky floor both in the hall outside the room and in the room above. The only positive was the location as we were going on a boat from Clevedon pier .

Needs rescuing!!

One night stopover. Paid for ”Executive” room. The view was fantastic but room directly below bar or restaurant and suffered from noise of scraping chairs and footfall.
Hotel is very tired, reflected in carpets and decor. Bed was very soft and bouncy.
Evening meal was very hot but what i would expect from a 3rd rate pub. Did they buy the fish from Lidl?!!
Cleaned up and brought back from the 1960’s, it would be impressive. But we won’t be back.

I have been too many hotels, and this is by far one of the disappointing stays I have ever had.
The setting of the hotel is beautiful overlooking the water. The first room had water running down the bathroom wall.
The second room had no heating and a large crack in the ceiling.
The third room had water dripping down from the ceiling. As it was 11 o'clock at night, I decided to place the dust bin with a towel under the drip.
Upon check out, I spoke to the Duty manager and he said this comes with a Victorian hotel and said I hope the view and the last room was good!

For the price, you can not go wrong. The staff were nice, food was good had lunch there on arrival & dinner, had breakfast on the last day. We had a room with a view of the sea. The room was nice size & bathroom was a good size to with a very nice shower. There was parking at the hotel as well.

We got married here ten years ago so stayed 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Evening meal and breakfast was delicious and staff helpful and friendly.
We stay here soften as we can but the hotel is invariably fully booked. We have enjoyed our stay very much

The staff and especially reception and breakfast staff were excellent-friendly very helpful with good sense of humour. Must find a good reason to stay in this lovely hotel again soon. Very nice receptionist welcomed us. Used the bar and had a good selection of food and friendly staff. Room was nice but quite small though I think we had the last available room as booked last minute. Had a nice TV and coffee and tea. Had ample free parking. I would recommend staying here as in a nice location and bar overlooks the estuary. It's a bit of a walk to the Hill Road area, maybe 10 minutes or so.

We cannot fault the staff as they were very polite and friendly at all times. However, the room we were given was nothing like the brochure showed. It was clean but in great need of updating. The sea view is not the sea, it is the start of the river severn which is less desirable to look at. The breakfast room that is for guests is bright and inviting, I cannot say the same about the breakfast room for guests with dogs (I accept that you need a separate room) it is small and digney. To make matters worse the room is along the corridor and around the corner from the main breakfast room. Given that the breakfast is a buffet style (no complaints about the food or buffet style) it is less than ideal when you have to walk back to the room carrying you food plus ,out of sight, out of mind’ seems to be the case as the staff do not check up on you. Wish I could say it was enjoyable but unfortunately in my opinion it was overpriced to the extreme for what you got.
I’m afraid we won’t be back ….

Sadly our room 420 had vey creaky floorboards from room ovwrhead where someone was walking around all night and was very noisey from the corridors also..kept us awake all night leaving my partner in a bad mood and we left early..
There were no soft pillows just slabs to sleep on.. bathroom floor is self adhesive plastic towls which are partly missing.
Im sorry i wouldnt book this hotel again although i had wanted to stay here for many yrs..it was dissapointing.

Great that we could do pre check in and they placed our luggage in our room for us. No headboard on the bed. 1 pillow each. The squeakiest bed ever known whenever you moved. The heat was unbearable despite the windows being open. Breakfast was okay in the morning. Hotel pretty dated.
