The hotel is on a motorway service station, and although the windows were closed you could hear the refrigerator trucks all night long. The room had no heating that worked so was freezing all night.

We arrived after late flight. I had informed hotel at time of booking but was asked to contact again on arrival day so room would not be sold on.
There were roadworks on the junction for hotel meaning you had to drive to next junction and return. It would be nice to have been advised of this. The roadworks also meant the carpark was full and although on asking we were told we could park anywhere in services it is a one way road and leaving would mean another detour up the motorway. We parked in HGV bay as advised by receptionist - this information could easily be shared in advance. Since our last stay there has been introduction of £5 parking charge.

The gym is definitely a bonus! The staff were welcoming. I was pleased to see that there was fresh fruit available at breakfast, as I had mentioned the lack of fresh options in a previous review. The soap dispenser had also been included in the room (same one as previously), but there was no soap! Could this be topped up? Handy parking and shopping in the services area.

When I arrived about 6.30pm I went to my room and it was too hot as heater was left on. I then went to the restaurant after a 4hr drive wanting a meal but there was no steak left so could not have that or the mixed grill. I did not want a burger or curry so had to go with a pizza. This then took approx. 40mins to appear and a side of onion rings. I got 3 rings for £4! Rip off. There was not offer of a free soft drink or discount for my wait

We have just used this property twice, on the way and way back from our trip. On the first leg of the journey we were notified of a recently introduced charge for the parking which applies to guests who have booked through Expedia only. I explained that our booking was made and paid for 11 months previous and they should honour those t&c, we were told to either pay it, move the car off site or expect a fine.
On the return leg there was no mention of the charge thankfully, but entering the room we found just one bath towel, I returned to reception where I was given another bath towel, but advised he could not let us have hand towels (we will remember to take are own in future) however once in the shower the gel dispenser was completely empty.

The Wyndham Bristol West offers comfortable accommodation in a convenient location. The room was clean and spacious, and staff were polite and helpful. While the hotel is a little out of the city centre, it’s easy to reach by car and parking is available. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Lovely welcome at reception. Room much larger than anticipated. Bathroom ok but could do with an update or a very good clean. Shower was excellent and towels soft and large! We didnt have breakfast as was visiting family so had breakfast at theirs. Beds clean and comfortable. Maybe the mattress was a little on the soft side for me but then i do prefer a firm mattress. Overall i would definitely stay again. Not only is it very convenient for visiting family in the area but its excellent value for money and generally a great stay.

On entering room 37 we were disappointed by the musty smell and the stains on the carpet and the black spots in the shower.......we had just arrived in from a late night flight so just had to go with it. The bedding was marked.
We left in the morning without using the facilities. We stood at reception to try to talk to the receptionist but he was busy on the phone so we just left.

Disappointed this wasn’t communicated as we will now have large roaming charges to pay and WIFI was one of my ‘must haves’. If I had known I would not have stayed here. We did not enjoy our stay here, it started with the room not being made up for 4. We found the trundle under the single and rearranged furniture to get it out by there was no duvet. We called reception but no answer. We went down to reception and they gave us a quite stained single duvet. There was no cover. We requested a cover and were handed a double cover. No apology was given. The condition of the room was poor, e.g. controls on the shower falling off, stains on the walls.

First they didn't tell me about extra payment for parking if you booked from Hotels.com service was awful. They would not come and clean the room unless requested and had to be done earlier? Wouldn't let my son into the gym citinv Health and Safety? He goes to school 10 miles away on his own. Had to go out of the hotel to get to electric car charging and the only non tesla charger wouldn't work. Car park was full..overall dissatisfied and won't book again

Weekend staff were amazing. On Monday the chef was extremely rude and condescending when was told that the coffee machine had run out of coffee and when was requested for a fried egg.
