Perfect location. Pity Mount Fuji was covered by cloud as it rained throughout our stay. Room was fairly bare but did have everything you need, bar the aircon, which was just heat or fan and seemed to blow hot either way. So we just opened the window a touch. Breakfast was, again, Japanese heavy, but to be expected. Staff, as usual throughout Japan, were lovely.

I didn't rate the breakfast as I didn't partake on it so I cannot leave a review on it. The place was convenient and was easy to get to. Check in was easy and staff were very accommodating. My knowledge with the Japanese language was close to none but the staff were able to speak English well enough.

The room was clean however there is an odd smell due to the age of the room. It is not a bad smell at all but it does smell the room was well aged. The aircon also doesn't cool enough that it gets quiet heated if the season is warm.

I give it a 4 stars as the inconvenience weren't deal breakers and the price were also reasonable to what amenities was provided. The room was more spacious than what I stayed at in the Tokyo or Osaka for less price. The toilet/bathroom has a bidet, bath tub, hot water, toothbrush, and more basic toiletries.

I definitely would stay again when visiting Mt Fuji.

Transportation wise - it is a 5-10 minute bus ride to Kawaguchiko Station. Very Convenient.

This is a great hotel near the Mt Fuji train station, their included breakfast was our favourite of our entire Japan trip. My only note would be that it was a little disappointing they were unable to accommodate luggage storage overnight for us as we climbed Mt Fuji for one night and the train station nearby doesn’t have a lot of large lockers so it left us scrambling on our holiday to figure that out. Additionally, this area feels more residential and the more touristy area is near Kawaguchiko train station.

A lot of guests coming here are for hiking up Mt. Fuji and staying one night at the mountain huts. They need to park their car and store luggage at the hotel for one more night. However the staff refused, even the guests were willing to pay extra.

Budget friendly but budgeted a little too hard on this one. Was extremely outdated. The bathroom was disgusting and the curtain had mold on it and smelt horrible when we tried to shower. I would not stay here again, instead, stay by Lake Kawaguchiko.

The staff are a disgrace . They did not accommodate us and were rude.
We do not recommend this hotel.
There were 12 of us in 8 rooms, we were bird watchers.
They would not allow to hold a meeting in their meeting room.
They would only allow us to use 4 tables, on the proviso we kept the noise to a minimum ( we are birdwatchers, not football hooligans) we were told not too be anything and Frankly felt very unwanted in the hotel.
Please use other hotels there are many.
I personally left a towel to dry in my room and the cleaner folded it up WET and put it into the bathroom.
Not recommended, and certainly not for groups over 60-85 year olds.
Everything was a problem, even getting change for the washer you are interrogated as to what you want the change for.

Overall great place to stay and like 3-4 min walk from mt Fuji station. If you don’t mind walking it was doable to the Chureito Paroga. There is a limitation to restaurants that are walking distance especially if you visit on a Monday so we made sure to eat at one on our journey to the park. Also some have a siesta in between. The only complaint I had is that I wish it had a microwave. I forgot to ask if there was one downstairs in the lobby but it be good to known down next time. I wanted to buy a meal to heat up but realized my room didn’t have one.

However if you just want a quick glance of the mountain it’s right next to the police station!

Fujisan peek a boo view

Had a wonderful time at Kawaguchiko. Fujisan Station Hotel was convenient to the bus station and we could easily get to Lake Kawaguchiko. The staff were wonderful and they served a delicious breakfast buffet. The snow was unexpected so we were a little cold.

It’s inexpensive, the breakfasts is good with many choices. It’s clean. The staffs are nice.

Very close to Fujisan Station so easy access to transport including the free FujiQ loop bus. Breakfast was excellent. You can see Fuji from your room too! Rooms themselves were pretty and well appointed. Only complaint is the walls were a bit thin so you have to pray you don't get noisy neighbours.

Great service with wonderful view to Mt. Fuji. We have the top floor facing Mt. Fuji and was lucky enough to see it when we wake up in the morning. Amazing view with great service and the breakfast is also great with a mix of Japanese and western style items. Staffs ware friendly and room are clean and updated. They also have shuttle service to tourists locations around the area.

Nice and clean hotel. Was worried about smaller mattress sizes from what I saw from other Japan hotels but this one was fine for 2 people and expected coming from Canada. Super close to a train/bus station, also provided a free shuttle to get around the common locations around Lake Kawaguchi. Can view Mount Fuji from our room.

I liked that the hotel was in walking distance to Mt. Fuji Station, and the buses, that the hotel included breakfast and wi-fi, and the room, and bathroom, were both very spacious. The staff and service were welcoming and very hospitable. However, there were rust spots in the bathroom, which made it seem like it wasn’t clean, and the hotel is not located around a lot of restaurants, shopping places, or convenient stores. It was a lot of walking to those places.

Located a short 2 minute walk from Fujisan station, this hotel is decently convenient for the budget conscious traveler, as the Fujikyu line every 30min connects to FujiQ Highland as well as the tourist destination of Fuji Kawaguchiko station. There are also free buses for guests that travel to the same locations.

Guess it depends how much English the person you’re dealing with speaks. One young man was incredibly helpful in ordering a pizza for us. Another grunted us out of the breakfast room at exactly 9am. Another didn’t understand our complaints about the dryer (300¥ for an hour and small load still wasn’t dry). 10am checkout is aggressive and we asked for a few extra minutes to repack laundry and he just kept tapping the sign. We eventually got our point across as we got chased out around 10:13 with a bag of damp clothes and he did at least refund the 300¥. That laundry room has visible mold and we think our bathroom had at least one little spot too. Super convenient to the Fujisawa station and they provided excellent restaurant recommendations with a little local map. (Sakigake was outstanding!) Room was clean with a good shower, tiny TV (we weren’t there to watch), lots of power outlets and actually decent size bathtub.

Almost a great experince.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The room was clean and the biggest room I've ever stayed in Japan.
Everything was great.
Except for one thing.
The free shuttle really messed me up for one night. I was expecting to take the final shuttle back to the hotel on Sunday Night. I waited patiently for the 7pm shuttle to take me back, when it never showed up. I was confused as to why. Then i noticed a message underneath saying that the 7pm shuttle only runs on Fridays and Saturdays. Except, IT WAS ONLY IN JAPANESE.
Please, have this message in other languages as well, so we wont be stranded wondering how to get home.

This is a great place to base yourself if staying in Fujiyoshida. The hotel is within five minutes easy walking of Fujisan (Mt. Fuji) station and the rooms are clean and very spacious. There are also two coin laundry machines in the lobby which came in very handy. There are multiple dining options in the vicinity and even Gekkoji and Shimoyoshida stations are within thirty minutes walking distance.

Really close to the station and easy to commute to the other locations in the five lakes area. The mountain view from the hotel did not disappoint.
Not many amenities/convenience stores nearby - so suggest getting some things before heading back to the hotel.

This hotel is considered one of the most affordable place to stay when visiting Lake Kawaguchi area. Only 2 stops between Kawaguchiko Station, where all the tourists buses and trains travel around the area to enjoy the view of Mt.Fuji. The check-in receptionist who checked me in, had no smile, no courteous talk like most of the Japanese do. He was not passionate about his hospitality job, very cold feel from him. I did not feel comfortable asking help from him cause his unfriendly attitude. However I was very satisfied with the rest of the hotel services and room condition. I was able to see 95% of Mt.Fuji in the morning with some cloud on top from my room. The breakfast was not the best but good enough to start a great day to explore the area. Will stay again but hopefully not dealing with the same staff.

Easily accessible from the nearby train station. They have a free shuttle bus service to kawaguchiko station, which is great if you are relying on public transport to get around. Location is the biggest plus. Just 2 minute wall from Fujisan bus and train station. There is free shuttle bus to Fujikyu and Kawaguchiko station. Close to restaurant and convenient store. The hotel is rather old, but still very clean.

Hotel staff were lovely of course, lobby is nice and it seems as though they are updating the hotel as it does need updating, the rooms in particular. There was an odd smell kind of like damp in the bathroom, so we kept the fan on in there. Room was adequate size, could walk around both sides of bed, just about on the one side. Had a wardrobe, fridge. WiFi was good but no bottled water that you come to expect in Japan. Bed was hard, and I like a firmish mattress but this hurt to lay on my side as a girl with big hips. Pillows a bit hard and only 1 offered each. Air con was OK but blew on you at night which I don't like despite turning the direction. Breakfast was OK, not the best offered, needs more fruit and veg/vegan friendly options. Tea and coffee served were very nice though.

Great location with large, clean room. We arrived via train at the Fujisan station, which was a block away from the hotel. We were able to store our luggage with the front desk and go explore. We went to see the shrine and hike a bit of Mt Fuji. Hotel room was large and modern. We opened the window at night when sleeping and literally fell asleep to the babbling brook! The breakfast included was amazing - very delicious and healthy japanese/western buffet prepared by cute elderly japanese ladies. Felt energized for the next day after that breakfast! Would stay again
