Room/atmosphere somewhat dated but clean and fine and priced accordingly. Towels were thin and scratchy. Staff had very limited English but somehow we were able to communicate. They were able to call a taxi on several occasions which was much appreciated.

We booked a room with a view of Mt Fuji. We woke up to an unobstructed, amazing view of Mt Fuji!

The hotel was really nice. The onsen was great to experience, a little nerve wrecking since it was our first time. Accidentally got the smoking room so it did have a lingering smell of cigs but I don’t think the non smoking room would’ve been different since the hallways also had that smell. The staff was friendly and helpful !

There was almost no english information for referrals to areas to visit, and the front desk had very little english understanding. The room had no comfort at all. One hard chair and a very hard bed.
I was reprimanded for wearing my shoes in the lobby. Apparently you can only wear shoes in half the lobby. There was a small plaque sign in the floor with instructions to take off your shoes.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Wonderful service fraction of a cost

This property was a little dated compared to some of the others we have stayed at. However, it was very clean and the customer service was top notch. The view of Mt. Fuji from the back of the hotel is breathtaking. The onsen was quite peaceful and relaxing with a mix of hotel guests and locals from the public. Lots of food options near the hotel and the breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. Great service from the front desk. Short walk to Fuji-Q from the hotel. Would stay here again for sure!

While the property and surrounding area were clean, exciting, and accessible, the property staff were not accommodating to my partner and I. We came to the restaurant at 21:55 knowing that the restaurant closes at 23:00. The restaurant staff informed us the kitchen would close at 22:00, and we agreed to sit and quickly place an order. However, moments later (before 22:00) the staff informed us that they would not take our order at all. The hotel staff were unwilling to advocate for us as guests to have the restaurant staff serve us. We were unable to find any food on-site following this interaction. This experience left us with a bad impression, and a concern that this treatment was because we are foreign visitors.

This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen.

If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do.

The room for the four of us was small, but accommodating, albeit on the floor with a mat and blanket. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom area was a bit small. I did like the long mirror in the main area on the wall. The employees were helpful as could be with us being foriegners. The breakfast was a guess typical Japanese. I didn't reslly care for it, but to each there own. We were hear to travel to Mt Fuji. This place was the closest most affordable place i could find. The Hot spring was included with our stay. They are strict on their Japanese tradition and male and female go seperate ways, but without clothes. Interesting place, would stay again.

The hotel is very quiet. The hotel is old but they keep it very clean. The best part is that we get to see Mount Fuji in our room and from the outdoor onsen. There are 1 cold water tank and 4 types of onsen for women, 2 outdoor, 2 indoor. The onsen is very nice. Staff members are very friendly. One of them can speak Cantonese. This hotel is recommended. I definitely will book this hotel next time when I come back to Fujikawaguchiko.

Great place to stay in Mount Fuji area. Our room was 302 with direct views to Mount Fuji. The room was huge with 3 beds an bathroom but no wardrobe. The place has amazing public baths with indoor and outdoor areas. Staff are really kind and helpful. There is a restaurant on site but didn’t try it. Didn’t have breakfast included either son can’t comment. There is plenty of car spaces. There is a Daison next door, couple conbinis and restaurants nearby. Great location to explote the area. We had a car so cannot comment on public buses service. Absolutely recommendable, will stay again if I ever go back.

About a 20 minute walk from Mt. Fuji station, it's a bit of a walk with luggage. There are buses throughout the area running every 20-30 minutes. It's very much a suburb/rural area. The hotel has a great view of Fuji-san and great value with the onsen facilities in the hotel. Be sure to double check if you booked a smoking room or not.

You have access to their traditional Japanese Spa as a overnight guest, it's a wonderful experience. And the spa itself serves as a bit of a local community center.
The hotel itself is not that close to the local train and bus station. So bear that in mind, but it was a great experience. For roughly five dollars, you can have a traditional japanese breakfast and I would recommend it.

Onsen on site is avaibable nearly all day. Did not enter the onsen as they requested we go late at night as our party had tattoos which is understandable and the accommodation to go late at nigjt was appreciated. Staff was helpfull in explaining e erything we needed to know.

Hotel is 20min by foot from mt fuji station. Mostly walkable but crosswalks in the area are a bit out of the way

It was quite clean and onsen was nice. We could see Mt. Fuji from our window. It was quite near to Fuji-Q Highland.
Quite few restaurant were near by and a convenience store was just cross the road also, Daison(100yen shop) was next door. The restaurant in the hotel was very good.

Traditional style room futons on the floor but they are quite comfortable and with only four of us staying there was enough futons to have two each which made it quite comfortable. The Onsen onsite is very nice, clean and easy to understand use even for non-Japanese persons. The view of Mt Fuji from the window in the room is second to none, absolutely perfect location. We woke up and took photos out of our room window and they are as good as any postcard. I will attach one if possible. Convenience store directly opposite hotel was handy and $1 shop next door was also handy.... especially if you need gloves like I did. We had a rental car and there is plenty of parking at the front or back of the hotel. Fuji Q is about 1klm up the road so we walked to that instead of having to drive. Staff did not speak a lot of English but enough to get the job done with checking in, paying, using onsen and checking out. If we come back through I would stay here again. cheers Greg

If you carry a bulky item that you can't carry for walking about 20 minutes, you are advised to call a taxi for delivery. If you can afford the carrying of your luggage, it is easy to reach there by walking in this manner: (1) departing from Mt. Fuji Railway Station, (2) walking facing Mt. Fuji, (3) looking for the main road named Fuji-michi Street, (4) toward the end of this street, locating Yokomachi Bypass which is a highway (be careful when crossing the road!), (5) turning right, walking toward Fujikyu-Highland, and (6) walking about 10-15 minutes and you can see the building of this hotel.

Very helpful staff. 1 duplex outlet next to mirrow was controlled by switch on opposite wall, so some things did not charge overnight. Was a previous light outlet - this switch was next to bed.
Staff was very helpful with ice before Mt Fuji climb and train/bus schedule before leaving. Easy walking to restaurants and Fuji-Q Highland roller coaster. Fantastic Vacation!

It was a little far from the train station, so we took a taxi to and from. Very easy to do as drivers were waiting outside the station and the front desk called a taxi for us.

The best part was the view! Our room was facing Mt Fuji and no obstruction besides some clouds in the morning. A lot of restaurants in the surrounding area so we had our pick for dinner and right next to a Daiso so very convenient.

The onsen was great. Nice and hot for a cold April evening and morning. Especially love the outdoor one!

We can just see Fuji from our room, imagine morning you lay on your bed and look at the Fuji. Staff not really can speak English but they still try their best to explain and answer for us. Around hotel has a lot of nice food. And it’s quite near to go around lake Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako. With the price, defitely recomend. but I Guess the location only good for those driving .

Nice Outdoor Spa with View of Mt Fuji

We came to Mt Fuji with just one thought in mind... to view the mountain every day at different hours. The non-negotiable condition that we had was that the hotel must have a outdoor spa pool, and that it has one with a full view is a plus! And the price itself also make it a hands done deal... And I took photos of Mt Fuji every morning from my room window!!!

Especially like the convenience of so many places to eat just a short walk from the hotel. This is a great way to explore the many facets of Japanese cuisine!

The only downside is the lack of transport to Mt Fuji station where we used to commute to other places of interest. Dont use Fukyu Highland... the buses and train stations are next to each other in Mt Fuji station, whereas the train station is a good 10-15 minutes walk to the bus station.

All in all, tremendous value for the 3 nights we stayed there!

Stayed 2 nights with 3 small kids. Room is spacious with direct Mt Fuji view. It is very pleasant. Price is super reasonable compared to those hotels near Kawaguchio lake. Only complaint is location ie. 1.6km from Fujisan Station. Need to spend 800JPY each time with taxi.

The hotel is good, but you will need a car to go anywhere. Free parking. The staffs are friendly.
The room is big with Mt. Fuji view.. very nice and quiet.
The Osen is confortable, clean and quiet.
The breakfast is not free, it cost only 700 yen.... the food is simple and light.
A lot of restaurants are surrounded to the hotel but you may need a car.
Overall, I will give 8 like out of 10.

Nice Hotel But a Bit Far From Train/Bus Station

We have reach Fujisan Station around 1845 (night time already in Japan), then we walk according to the Google Maps to the Hotel and it takes us about 40minutes!.
Luckily the Hotel Staff and the Room Condition was better than we expected.
Even though we just spend a day (one night) but the experience was very great.
Actually, there is a \"shortcut\" to the Fujisan Station in the morning time when i google it again, but we must cross the railway track. This route will just take you around 20 minutes.

Overall, the Hotel was great and will not let you down in terms of cleanliness, spacious and look like a brand new inside plus the cheapest around there (at that time i booked). The only thing is you just need to walk a bit (unless you are fully loaded with cash and take a cab/taxi) & the nearest local bus stop will take you about 5-8 minutes walk as well.

I booked a single non-smoking room for one night via Expedia. On my arrival, was given a larger room with Mt Fuji view since no single non-smoking was available. I particularly liked their hot spring and used it twice. It is not a luxury hotel but conformable and clean. Its location is prefect.

Great location with many shops & eateries around!

Will recommend this location to stay if you are visiting Mt. Fuji, especially if you are driving. It's only 5mins drive from the Subaru line which takes you to the Subaru line 5th Station. This place offer free parking and free traditional Onsen which was clean and user friendly with English instructions to use the Onsen correctly. Food was easily available nearby with many restaurants and even Fast food chains.

I was mainly staying in this hotel because of the hot springs. In USA, it is perfectly common to go to the hot springs with your husband in a swim suit. No where in the description, or on the website, did it say the hot springs were split by gender, and in the nude. I wanted a romantic evening with my husband, so you could imagine being in the hot tub with a bunch of naked women was not what I was expecting. If the hot springs would have worked out then I probably would have not thought the room was so horrible, but on top of it all the beds were so uncomfortable, and the comforter was made of some type of plastic. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is a nice hotel with angreat view of Mt Fuji. The breakfast is ok and typical Japanese fare.

The Hotel beyond expectation

- Location is very good for relaxation and easy for dining and bites.
- The view form the hotel is totally stunning !!!
- The room is spacious, clean and cozy and the beds are also relax.
- The toilet and bath area are also spacious.
- Onsen Spa is also available for guests, helping us more relax during stay.
- Driving a car is necessary to reach the hotel.
- The parking lots are available in front of the hotel and also at nearby restaurants.

What an incredible hotel !!!!!

Great Hotel for Price and Location

Hotel is located about 2km from Fuji Station and had fabulous views of Mt Fuji from your room. The hotel has numerous dining choice right next to the hotel (in a .5km radius)

The 24hr hotel staff is friendly, efficient, and speak English very well. They eagarly helped us out with every request and question we had.

Good price for what you get at a little less than 10,000YEN. Our double room with two beds was a very good size with all the amenities you will need for your trip: slippers, robe, razor, toothbrush /toothpaste, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, q-tips, hairbrush, small refrigerator, tea, Coffer brewer...plus there is a great view of Mt. FUJI out the window and a very strong WiFi network.
