I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the highlight was the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji from our room—it was truly unforgettable. The hotel also offers a Japanese-style public bath, which was a relaxing and authentic experience after a long day. Everything exceeded my expectations, especially considering the very reasonable price. I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel.

TL;DR: Uncomfortable rooms, dismissive staff, and an inconvenient location. This stay negatively impacted our Mt. Fuji trip. Not recommended.

Do not stay here.

The room was unbearably hot despite nighttime temperatures dropping to -3°C. We were repeatedly told to “turn off the heater and open the window,” which was the only solution offered for our entire stay. The room has very poor airflow, and the small window did little to help.

When I asked for a fan, one staff member laughed in my face. Another staff member helped immediately, which only highlighted how inconsistent and unprofessional the service was.

The location is also a major downside. There is nothing notable nearby, and getting anywhere requires a long walk to Kawaguchiko Station or regular taxi use.

Unless you want to actively ruin the Fuji leg of your trip, do not stay here. A day trip or bus tour is far easier and far less frustrating if your goal is simply to see Mt. Fuji.

While this hotel was a fair trek from the bus station (about 20 minutes) it was just what we wanted. Our view of Fuji was amazing. The staff was also very nice and brought up our bags while we’re were out touristing. The restaurant attached next door was delicious!! And there was another great restaurant a few doors down that offered hoto noodles. The hotel also had an onsen with a cold pool and massage chairs, which was amazing. I would stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and everything about our stay was excellent, especially the breathtaking, unforgettable view of Mt. Fuji from our room.

However, the perfect experience was unfortunately marred by the Indian female clerk during checkout. We were in a rush, and I realised I had left one room key inside. I informed the clerk and asked if housekeeping could retrieve it later. She strictly insisted that I had to go back to the room and personally retrieve the key to hand it to her. This inflexibility, especially when we were hurrying, was completely contrary to the traditional, excellent Japanese hospitality we are used to and severely dampened our overall impression.

While I highly recommend the hotel for its quality and location, I hope management addresses this operational rigidity. It’s a sad detail to include in an otherwise positive review.

As many have said, an older and a newer building. Technically it is a business hotel, not a resort. I was in the newer and it was great. The views of Fuji were incredible from the 3rd floor. The onsen is clean with an external pool with a view. The breakfast is about half ja of Japanese style dishes and half random Western foods. The staff were all relatively friendly and helpful.

What stood out was the amazing help we received from the lady manning reception on the day we left. When our taxi to the station failed to arrive she very kindly drove us in her car to make sure we did not miss our bus and connecting train

We stayed 2 nights in a special queen room with a balcony and view of Fujisan. We were on the 3rd of 4 floors. We did a 1 day climb of Mt. Fuji and this room was our home base. We were able to walk about 18 minutes to and from Kawaguchiko Station to catch the Fujikyu bus for 5th Station of the Yoshida trail easily. It is a downhill walk to the station. A little harder to walk back from the station after climbing Fuji but very doable. Taxis are plentiful at the station if you rrally need one.

The Room at Noborisaka was fantastic. The view was magnificent from my bed, from my balcony and even feom my bathtub.

The small conveniences they stock in your room were so handy. Checkin was a breeze... Just walked up, gave our last name, and they had the room keys ready and waiting for us.

Lots of space, lots of drawers, a bathroom that had the luxuries of Japan as well as the familar layout of bathrooms back in the states. My extremely tall husband appreciated the bathroom space. The view seemed better than some of the other higher priced hotels around. We enjoyed the Restaurant across the street called \"871\" for dinner both nights.

Complaints: The refrigerator needs a deep cleaning. I was not pleased with the state of its freezer. Check out is 10am which is 1 hour too early and hard on people who just climbed a mountain. Lastly, we couldnt access Youtube or Netflix on the TV. Dated software was a pain so we just gave up and watched the mountain.

Great hotel. Pros: perfect location to see Mt Fuji. I came for 1 night. During the day could not see Mr Fuji but in the morning from 4am-8 you can see it perfectly. Super clean and great bath house. Cons: it’s about a 18 min walk from Kawaguchiko station & public transport. I would 100% recommend & I would stay here again.

I felt the bed was beat and needing of replacing. Too thin and too small for anyone of westerner size. Also, the coffee machine was shut off for mornings, with a sign that said open from 3pm on. Not sure who drinks coffee after three and not in the morning.

Got a top floor room facing mount fuji and the view was amazing. waking up every morning to the full view of Mt Fuji at the window. Location is quite far from the train station so driving is recommended. There is a hotel onsen which is pretty cool. You can relax in the onsen after a day out.

What an amazing place. And the view from our hotel room was by far the best view to wake up to in the morning. Bed was a little small for 2 people but we managed. The Spa was amazing and refreshing after each day of exploring. What pure enjoyment and great experience we had. Several shops/eats close by. There is also a cool amusement park close by down the street oh and also a shopping mall.

This hotel is very close to the mountain FUJI. You could see the mountain FUJI directly from some of the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel to everybody who is interested in seeing mountain FUJI. There is also open spring bath which is very comfortable and cozy.

We attend one night while visiting Kawaguchiko. Our room was lovely with a large bathroom with a wonderful bathtub, a nice covered patio and plenty of room to be comfortable. The front desk held our luggage when we arrived and delivered it to our room so it was ready for us when we returned to the hotel. Breakfast was also very good. Would definitely stay again.

This was my favorite hotel so far in my trip to Japan and I've been to 5 hotels so far in different cities including Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. I went on a cloudy day so I couldn't see Mt Fuji when I checked in which I was bummed about but then I went to the public bath they have inside of the hotel and it was amazing, I went at night before closing and early morning at opening and it was pretty empty. The best part was the next day I woke up to Mt Fuji from outside my room window and I also go to see Mt Fuji from the observation deck.

The hotel is located quite far (30 mins walk) from the bus station. If you intend to walk to the hotel with your heavy luggage it is going to be quite challenging as the hotel is situated on the hilltop. Quite disappointed with the hotel staff as our request for rooms facing mount fuji was very quickly turned down though the hotel was quite empty. It is totally pointless to stay in this hotel if you are unable to secure a room facing Mt Fuji.

Nice hotel, with very spacious rooms and lovely view of Fuji from your room. The Terrace outside gives a better unobstructed view of Fuji and the night sky. There is also coin laundry and free public onsens baths. Otherwise, biggest issue is being so far from the station and the infrequency of the public bus that comes here (the bus also stops running at 6 or 7pm so don't return late else you walk 20mina from the station to here.)

The earliest you can check in is at 4 pm. We had walked a distance to our hotel and were hot and ready to relax and cool off. Unfortunately, they didn't have a fan or air conditioning running so when we checked in it was hot and stuffy in our room. We set the air conditioner to 19 but it kept changing back to 25 degrees. We would go to sleep with cold air only to wake up sweating with the thermostat reset to 25. We had bought cold drinks and food to have for breakfast only to wake up to a hot refrigerator and ruined food and hot water. The best thing about this hotel is the incredible view of Mt. Fuji.

Very clean and spacious hotel! It’s about a 15-20 min walk from the bus stop and there are lots of restaurants and markets in the area. The room was much larger than most hotels you’ll find in Japan. The onsen was very good!

Unreliable and uncomfortable - avoid

Asked the staff for a taxi to catch out connection transport from Mt Fuji to Tokyo for a Shinkansen. Upon checkout, nothing was arranged and nothing communicated to us, we nearly missed the connection as we had to run 5am in -8 weather to the station with luggage. Accommodation had a nice view but the beds were super uncomfortable and overall pretty bad.

For those who doesn't drive, public transport is bad for this location. Unless you are willing to walk for 30mins to the main Kawaguchiko Station. The small mall is 5 mins walk and has a decent supermarket.
The hotel complimentary coffee at the lobby should be available in the morning too. Overall, a nice and clean hotel.

Amazing Fuji View on the 3rd floor Rooms

This hotel is located in the town of Fugkawaguchiko, around 7 min by taxi from train station.
It is not located by the lake.
But we did stayed at 3rd floor in a room with a Mount Fuji view. And it was amazing to wake up and open the window with that spectacular view.
They have an amazing Onsen ( hot bath) inside the hotel. So you can relax after all the walking.
To reach the lake, you must take the red line bus.
Convenient location with lots of restaurants and shopping
