Gorgeous boutique hotel, feels luxury, lots of nice little touches in the room, staff are fantastic and the restaurant, both in the evening and for breakfast is wonderful. Really high standard all around and would highly recommend (only 10mins walk from the train station so also easy to stay there and travel around).

This is a quality hotel. Our standard room, which was on the second floor, accessible by lift, was spacious with a very comfortable double bed. In addition to a excellent walk in shower, it had a separate toilet.
It has an excellent location, being on the main square and within walking distance of the major sites, including the harbour.
It is only a ten minute walk to the train station.
The hotel has a quality restaurant and a comfortable outside tree/plant lined seating area.
The staff were welcoming and always ready to help and offer advice.

Ambiguous pre-arrival info: check-in time is 8am-5:30pm but that is to “check-in” not to get into your room. We couldn’t access the room until 3pm. It would have been better for us had the booking info stated check in between 3pm-5:30pm.

Decent room and immaculately clean shower area. The lack of door between the shower/washroom and the bedroom was slightly disconcerting (the toilet is separate… and has a door).
Pantry in the corridor with free fruit and drinks was a nice touch. Beer/wine/snacks were available as a payable option.
Breakfast is pre-selected off a grid of options the night before. It was minimalistic and I would probably opt to eat out next time. And I think there will be a next time, Hoorn has plenty to keep visitors occupied and the Ysbrantsz is definitely worth another stay.

The Ysbrantsz hotel was great! Highly recommended. I arrived for the IronMan weekend and the staff were very quick to help us with our idiosyncrasies e.g. needing a takeaway breakfast at 4am! The hotel is clean, well appointed and comfortable and the staff amazing. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was also very good.

A great hotel in the center of Hoorn, we based out of the hotel for two weeks. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were large compared to many older hotels in the area we have stayed at before. The restaurant downstairs has excellent food, the large European breakfast was outstanding with lots a fresh bread from a local bakery. The Chefs menu 4 course dinner was very good!

Wonderful stay in beautiful Hoorn
Beautifully renovated historic building with beautiful garden and a top-notch restaurant. The new lift is especially good, saving us the effort to wrestle luggages up the steep stairs typically of older Dutch buildings. Quiet surroundings at the historic city center. Very nice and helpful staff.
